We reserved a table yesterday, but due to a traffic jam on the Hartel Bridge, we were 45 minutes late. We called ahead and it was no problem at all. Because of the traffic jam, we were pressed for time and wanted our dinner quickly. The Zobra staff were very cooperative, so compliments on that! The delicious Greek dishes arrived very quickly, allowing us to eat them at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious and wonderfully flavorful. Afterward, we were on time for our next appointment. We don't live in Spijkernisse ourselves, but we'd love to come back again to dine at our leisure. And to enjoy all the delicious Greek dishes on Zobra's menu!

We've been coming to Zorba five or six times a year for years. Unfortunately, it's getting worse and worse on all fronts. It's empty on Fridays, the food is just barely adequate, minimal. It's nowhere near as good as it used to be. Eating out at Zorba used to be a joy, but now it's become a very mediocre restaurant. Rhodos Breda and Olympia Zevenbergen are head and shoulders above the rest. Unfortunately, Zorba is no longer the best restaurant in Spijkenisse.

We were warmly welcomed with ouzo and then enjoyed a truly delicious meal. The meat was tender and the portions were definitely not small. The staff came by regularly to ask if everything was to our liking—that's how it should be. We'll definitely be back and will definitely return.

We come here often, had a great meal. Nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, the atmosphere yesterday was less good than usual. A group of very noisy/antisocial customers were sitting in the back of the restaurant and since several staff members walked to the table several times (past ours), they seemed like regular/friendly customers. We could hardly hear each other because of the antisocial shouting, which was downright annoying. Not very customer-friendly...

Food was good, service was friendly and the atmosphere outside on the terrace was pleasant.

Went for dinner on a weekday. Not really busy but nice atmosphere. Good food (quite a lot) and fast service. We liked it better than at the fellow Greek restaurant in Brielle. Will definitely repeat this.

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere

We had a great meal! With a group of 10 people we were served very well - friendly, fast and with attention. The food was delicious and the bill was very fair, especially for such a large group. Really recommended, we would love to come back!

Super cozy again.. Staff very friendly to us and grandson.. The food was tasty and not served too fast or too slow. We have been coming here for years and only once we thought what is this? Just a nice restaurant where they pay attention to the customer. Food and price ratio fine. Until next time..

Authentic Greek restaurant conveniently located in a pedestrian zone. The service is perfect, and the food and drinks are well worth the price. I'm just coming back.

Delicious food. We had the Acropolis and the Zorba dish. More than enough. Nice staff despite the crowds.

Cosy and atmospheric Greek restaurant, nice people and good food. The souflaki was a bit overcooked. Another nice meal, today all three a 3-course menu. The moussaka was very good. The zorba dish and Olympic fire menu were very tasty. Only the calamaris were very tough.

When we entered there was a screaming child with his parents, we wanted to leave after hesitating. Then we were served nicely and we sat comfortably with a calling customer behind us, who thought it was cool to do business hard in coal English. Furthermore we ate bread with delicious garlic butter and a large plate of meat and dry chicken. The fries were dry and did not come straight from the fryer, kept warm or reheated. We were disappointed.

Ordered earlier and the food was good. Last order, I forgot the tzaziki twice and the Gyros tasted old (seemed like from the day before). Shame!

Starter was delicious. Main course not. Was lukewarm and tasted like it had been reheated. When we pointed this out to the waiter, she found this annoying. But we didn't hear anything from the owner who was present. Service was provided by several waiters. One is better than the other.

Nice and cozy place,with authentic and good quality greek food. The service was good with a taste of greek hospitality.We took saganaki ,greek salad,stifado and zorba witch had a variety of grilled meat and of course for dessert we had Ice cream that it was delicious and fresh.Very good prices.We were very satisfied and of course we ll go again. Absolutely fine. Been there 3 times. 3 times just fine!

The starter was tasty. The grill dishes were mediocre. The meat was not served directly from the grill. The meat was warmed up which made it very dry. The sauces were not freshly made, they came from a package. The service was very rushed. When we got the menu from one waiter, the next one was at the table within a minute to ask if you had already made a choice. The menu is much too big.

My son felt completely at his birthday, 11 years old & the staff had organised it really nicely with fireworks and they took the whole place along to sing and clap. Great! The food was of course delicious as always. On to the next time!

We had been fans of Zorba for a long time and visited there regularly every now and then. Now it's been a while and we were actually really looking forward to it. We soon learned that there is a new owner. We ordered Pikilia, Gyros and pita bread to share as we always do. Normally the Pikilia consisted of a good range of various hot and cold Greek starters. Really delicious. Now it consisted of a sausage in puff pastry, a burnt portobello, a piece of dry meatball and a few types of spreads... We don't like Dolmades so we got a sausage sandwich... Where has the real Greek gone? This isn't possible, is it? No one came to ask if everything was okay. Not until we were done. We said something about it because this is really not possible and it is really not worth the price. Then the waitress came back with the answer: the only thing we can offer you is a dolmades.... What?! I think we have indicated that we don't like that. We indicated this again. Well, she says again, the only thing we can offer is a dolmades or a meatball... it couldn't get any crazier. We had already finished eating. Another waiter brought someone again and he was able to offer us a coffee on the house... Really bad service. If we had known this, we would never have ordered it. The atmosphere is nice and the gyros tasted good, but we will never have the Pikilia again. We also don't know if we will come back. Really a shame, it was always a good restaurant with real Greek food...

Ordered Pikilia and gyros dish. We come here often, but I understood that it was a new owner for the first time. Pikilia was always tasty, Greek starters. Everything is tasty, but we preferred no dolmades. 4 spreads on a plate with 2 small dry puff pastry snacks with a piece of sausage, a black burnt mushroom and a very dry meatball in tomato sauce for €14.50. No one came by to ask if everything was okay. The gyro dish was ok. Only after we had finished eating were we asked if everything was ok. We indicated that the pikilia was very disappointing and not tasty. What did the lady say, sorry, the only thing I can do for you is offer dolmades. I know you would rather not have that, but that's all I can do. Is this a joke? The girl who collected our plates asked again how the food was. We indicated it again. Another employee then offered us a cup of coffee. Too bad, we don't come here anymore.

Service is very friendly and helpful. They have an extensive menu and the food is really delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant gives you the feeling that you are really in a restaurant in Greece.

Let me first say that we have eaten at Zorba restaurant before. And that was very good, as was the service. Restaurant Zorba was a family business and a household name in Spijkenisse. And apparently it has changed hands, which was immediately noticeable and visible. A well-stocked store with only one employee who took the order. He ran "out of his mind." The other employee was only for the drinks. It took way too long for our order to arrive at the table. It also took far too long to clear the place. The food was very good as usual, except for the dessert. Greek yogurt with honey and walnut, typically Greek, ordered as a desert. After a long wait the dessert came... without walnuts but with candied pieces of fruit, I think orange. This cannot and should not happen with an authentic Greek desert. The employee should have seen this... I don't want to be negative, but I think it's a shame that a good restaurant is no longer there. It feels like the "soul" of the restaurant is gone.

Food still delicious. Booked long in advance, yet we were seated in the conservatory. Cold. Crackling heater and an unfriendly lady at checkout. No compassion at all.

Had dinner here on Valentine's Day. It was pleasantly busy, very friendly service and a beautiful place! We skipped the starter and opted to immediately order the main course. You can get a large plate that was well filled with meat, rice, fries and salad at the salad bar. The place was also full and because of the crowds it was also possible to take a seat in the restaurant across the street. Resourcefulness and customer friendliness are certainly central to Zorba! It was our first time at Zorba and certainly not the last! You will definitely see us again one day.

Not what it used to be unfortunately.

A very good place to eat, approximately €40/pax. Greek food very well prepared and very good. The atmosphere is quite familiar, the only drawback is that some of the waiters are Greek and do not know how to speak Dutch (which is where the restaurant is), and English poorly. Carpaccio, Irish coffee, cheesecake and Zorba house dish, all very good To treat yourself and eat well, it is recommended.

Haven't been in a while but now I know why. Although the atmosphere and service receive a 10, the food and dessert were disappointing. Meat was dry and little flavor. The dessert that you also look forward to, especially if the main course was not to your liking, I think came straight from the freezer, including the plate. Ice cream was hard and the whipped cream TOO hard. Too bad because it is a nice place.

This evening was a total disappointment! Reserved a table for 7:00 PM, it was packed, which is a good sign. Was my first time here. The card looked great. The wine and starter were on the table in no time, but when the main course... After two and a half hours still nothing. There was a basket of bread with tzatziki for the long wait, but I didn't need that. Our neighbors in the business were also not happy. In the end, several people resigned, including us. Such a shame, I was so hungry for it!

Waited 2 hours for the main course. Food was ok but several people around us left early because it all took so long. Was a strange evening.

Have been to Zorba a lot over the last 10 years. But not in the last 2 years. The menu that I have often ordered there was unfortunately no longer served with a bowl of salad and rice. Very few fries were also served. Meat was very good. .

Went this Saturday and it was completely full. Food was good and despite the crowds, the service did a good job.

Once a cozy and tasty restaurant, but under the new owners it has been degraded into an ordinary food bar where no one really tries anymore. This all came together on Christmas Day. Absurdly long wait, dishes that were dumped on a plate and 0 attention from the service. Passing time by dancing the sirtaki. It looked like an ordinary grill room that evening, except for the bill. For this experience I would walk into the local shawarma shop. With pain in my heart, Zorba just isn't it anymore.

The food is no longer what it used to be. Price is also on the high side.

Had a great meal with the four of us. 3 courses for €36.50 p.p. I only thought my starter (the Kalamarakia) was a bit bland in taste and light in color, but I thought it could be fried a little longer and seasoned a little more. Main courses all excellent. Until next time

What a nice restaurant Zorba the Greek is! We had dinner here last night because we were going to the theater afterwards. The reception was very welcome. The decor of the restaurant was cozy and the beautiful picture on the wall made me want to go back to Greece. The food was delicious and the wine was delicious, in short... a great evening. We will definitely come back!

Great tent! We were late because there were problems with the Botlek bridge. Upon arrival we heard that a lot of people were having problems with it, so everything was behind schedule. The owner offered us a drink and within 10 minutes we were still at the table. Food was really great!! The staff has arranged everything very well and runs wildly. Recommended!!

Really good food. Nothing to comment on. Update 2024: Zorba has a different owner, and I really think things have deteriorated since then.

For the first time here, a total of 4 adults and a child. Food is very good and tasty, staff is friendly, prices are also just right

Delicious food. Gyros was very tasty, last time I thought it was quite salty, now it was good! Of course we drank a nice Greek beer. The woman had delicious slip tongue. For dessert I had a lemon pie, which you have to like as it is very sweet. All in all a better experience than the last time we went!

The food was delicious and good value for money. On the weekend the restaurant is very full and busy. So It is noisy, and service can be slow. Only ordered main dishes and waited for almost an hour. But the meals were definitely very tasty and good portions so I still recommend trying out this restaurant.

Nice setting, nice card. As a meat lover I could indulge myself and I had to do my best, because it was quite a lot. Super tender meat and the gyros was nice and roughly cut, not shredded. Also nice: Opened at 4pm. That day turned out well.

Mediocre, vegetarian food should not have a name and should disappear from the menu as quickly as possible, large white beans in tomato sauce, fries and some various obscure vegetables that the waiter did not know what they were, meat dish was far too dry, all in all already a waste of money, just the last X, too bad next X back to the Krom

Good food, cozy restaurant. We received a friendly welcome and the service kept a close eye on whether another drink was required. Variation of starters cold/warm/fish, fun to try everything, most of the platter was tasty. The meat from the mixed grill was also well prepared and tasty. Too full for dessert unfortunately, maybe next time. So worth repeating. The repetition has taken place. Rating now made 5 stars. Delicious and enjoyable meal.

Delicious food for a good price. Tarama was super tasty! It's just a pity that when the door opens and a group comes in, it is very chilly if your table is exactly in line with the entrance. Everything else was fine. Highly recommended.

Great food, large portions if you like meat

Delicious food. Received Ouzo as a welcome drink. Plates were well full. Friendly service. The only downside is about the drinks. No special beer, and the retsina does not taste like the good, real Greek retsina. Atmosphere is very good, with lots of old photos and trinkets that make you feel like you're in Greece. And delicious sweets after paying 😀
