I’ve gone two Sundays in a row when it said it was open from 18:00 to 22:00, and both times it was closed. I had been here before and really liked it, which is why I wanted to come back. Could you please send me the updated opening hours or update them online? Once that’s done, I’ll give the rating it truly deserves because the place has really, really good and authentic Moroccan food

Firstly, the reception and welcome were excellent, and everyone was smiling. The meals were cooked with love, and they have many delicious Moroccan dishes.

A group of nine had a wonderful time; everything was perfectly organized and tasted delicious. We started with a mix of delicious tapas, followed by various tagines and a mixed grill. 👌 Highly recommended, also perfect for larger groups!

The food was delicious and authentic. However, way too pricey and when we got the bill they charged us 2€ more for a Tajine than the menu price said it was going to be.

I ordered a "traditional" chicken tagine for €25, but it was anything but a real tagine. The taste was completely unauthentic, neither in the spices nor the cooking. A huge disappointment for that price! The value for money is incomprehensible, and it's a far cry from genuine Moroccan cuisine. If you're looking for a real tagine, run away: this is a caricature.

The food and service were amazing!

OUTRAGEOUS AND CATASTROPHIC! Couscous with semolina that's supposed to be ready in 5 minutes, a chicken cutlet, and ZERO vegetables!!!! €25.50, a complete rip-off!!!

A disaster: microwaved couscous, kefta tagine with pre-made tomato sauce, and splintered bread. A disgrace to Moroccan cuisine, and exorbitantly priced to boot.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food here is always fantastic! I've been here several times, and it's always top-notch. For starters, I had the Briwat Jaz and the Kir'n Jaz—both truly delicious. Then I had the Tagine Tahlia for the main course, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. And the tea here is truly something special; you simply have to try it! 🍵 The atmosphere inside is very cozy and warm, and the waitresses are always super friendly. The chef deserves more than a 10—the whole restaurant, in fact. It's truly a place where you always leave with a smile. See you soon!

Delicious food, top service and quality

I'm of Moroccan descent myself, and I can tell you that the food at MOZO is authentic. The plums could have been a bit more tender, and I wouldn't have preferred a French baguette with the Moroccan tagine. Otherwise, it's a very cozy and inviting atmosphere, a 9+.

The casseroles are delicious. The meat is fresh and delicious. The lentil soup is wonderful. I thank the staff for their wonderful service. Thank you.

I've eaten so much Moroccan food, but this was truly the best. My deepest respect goes to the two gentlemen who so effortlessly brought the heavy tagines up the steep staircase and were also very respectful. The atmosphere in this restaurant is also lovely; it's small but very pleasant. The food was delicious, but a bit too spicy for my liking. This restaurant gets a 10 out of 10! Delicious Morrocon food in Amsterdam. We got the lamb shank tagin and beef tagine along side couscous. Portions are smaller; tagine was made fresh and our server ( 17 yrs old Afghan young man-forgot his name) particular was super nice and friendly. Inside is beautiful and very inviting, I loved the mint tea as ususal

Unfortunately the food was inedible for which you pay 25 euros for a mixed grill. Service was good though.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very bad. I come to sit at the table and the table is very dirty and the cutlery too. After the food came I found hair in my tajin. This is terrible. After I had returned the food I saw 2 mice or rats walking through the kitchen. Hygiene in this dirty restaurant does not exist at all. First time and the last time.

You get sent away if you don't take a starter... We had taken a main course and were forced to take a starter otherwise it wouldn't make a profit and the table would cost too much.

We have given three stars because the restaurant had several displeasing aspects. We were the only people in the restaurant, therefore the atmosphere was lacking. One dish, the filled peppers, was good. However, the chicken wings did not seem fresh and most notably, had a long hair in it. The server apologised for this and took it off of the bill. We read through other reviews and were shocked to find this was not a unique experience, as two other recent reviews also found hair in their food. The server was kind, nevertheless we sadly cannot recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and really attentive and friendly service. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the Tagine with meatballs. We can’t wait to go back and try more!

I had a lovely experience at Mozo. The food was delicious and full of authentic Moroccan flavors. My favorite dish was the Bastilla, such a unique and rich taste. The Mechoui was good too, though a bit more classic in comparison. I really appreciated how carefully the staff handled a chili sensitivity in our group. They double-checked the menu with us several times and even suggested a dish swap, which was very thoughtful. The food took a little time to arrive, but it was absolutely worth it. If you enjoy Middle Eastern and North African cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. One small suggestion: adding photos of the dishes to the menu would make the experience even better.

La comida era nada menos que sensacional. Los dos comimos un tahini cada uno, las albóndigas mías, mi esposa tenía pollo con citas. El restaurante era bastante pequeño y tenía un buen menú. No tuvimos prisa, el personal era amable y atento Las porciones eran bastante grandes, tanto que no teníamos espacio para un pudín.

I had dinner here with two friends yesterday and it was delicious. So fresh and tasty. I chose the Fish Tagine as a main course and there was a lot in it, I was really satisfied. Super nice staff, I think the price-quality ratio is really good. Big 10, keep it up! I would like to come back again to taste the bastilla.

Yo recomendaría este lugar al 100%. Hicimos una fiesta de té para un babyshower. Estábamos sentados arriba en una zona pintada de colores. Toda la comida era deliciosa y casera. El personal era muy atento.

We were here for iftar with my husband. The food was really delicious and the staff very customer friendly! It is a bit small, but we did not find it disturbing. The only disadvantage and Mozo cannot do anything about that is parking, which took quite some time to find a parking spot But that doesn't mean we won't come back again.

Mozo offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and some of the best Moroccan food in the city. Their hummus is exceptional, and every dish is rich in flavor and beautifully prepared. The staff is incredibly kind. Make sure to book in advance! If you’re looking for delicious Moroccan cuisine in a cozy setting, Mozo is the place to go!

Not customer friendly, unhygienic and certainly not authentic. There was hair in our food and when we asked for a suitable solution, we were looked at in amazement and there was no further communication. Shame! I recommend Paloma Blanca, friendly and professional staff and food that actually tastes Moroccan instead of food that is adapted to the Western taste experience.

Food was not tasty, tasteless and if you feel like eating other people's hair, you should definitely come here. They also don't know service, because if you tell them this they ignore it and don't solve anything. Not a warm place. You would think this is a 'Moroccan place', but it looks more like a Dutch place with the spices they use (non-existent). No hygiene and dirty food, what more could you want for this price!

I recently had dinner with my brother at Moroccan Restaurant MOZO and it was an excellent experience. The restaurant offers many Moroccan dishes that are freshly prepared. The service was friendly and the flavors are as they should be! I dare say that with my Moroccan roots and a must for lovers of Moroccan cuisine. Keep it up gentlemen, proud of you!!!

We had a pleasant evening. It was our first time dining at Mozo. I have some comparisons to draw from, and I found it somewhat underwhelming. The seasoning was mild, as if too much consideration was given to European tastes. Please keep it authentic. As for the service, it was good. Friendly staff who attended to us well. Perhaps we should visit again for a second chance and try a different dish.

Nice and cosy place in the center of Amsterdam

Today we held my sister's baby shower here with a high tea menu. The food was delicious, and the staff and service were great. There was a very friendly employee! We were very satisfied!

As a Moroccan who grew up with the dishes, you don't taste Moroccan spices here. The price and the taste and quantity is quite expensive. Tea was too bitter, the tagine sauce was unedible...the space and service were top notch, but the food was such a pity, the couscous was not yet of that quality of steaming so that it gets some firmness...it was too grainy, as if you were at a Dutch restaurant. .music could be better to create the atmosphere in your kitchen

This small local Moroccan restaurant is a great recommendation to explore Moroccan cuisine. It was authentic! Service was superb and atmosphere cozy and homey. My favorite part was everything heated so well like home! I had the pea soup and the infamous Moroccan tea that were heated to the right temperature. My first spoon of soup warmed my heart. Recommend hearing the bread too. Great choice and music was exact with the ambiance!

We really had a fantastic and authentic dinner here. I loved that there was a miniature version of the Bastilla which I was dying to try. The pastry was nice and flaky, a bit sweet from the powdered sugar which is a tasty contrast with the chicken on the inside. I took the pea soup which I really enjoyed as well. I continued with the cous cous with the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection 🤤. My friends took the veal tajine which looked to be excellent. Closed everything off with some nice ice cream on top of an almond waffle. Would love to come again to try the rest. What I really enjoyed most though was when paying the chef from the kitchen genuinely wanted to know how I liked the food. He seemed to really care about their guests having a tasty evening!

I ate tajin and fish soup , the fish soup taste was like a cheap powder soup bag and there was beans taste in it The tajin was so little so I had to go to another restaurant to complete my meal after paying 43 euros The taste was awful ,I have eaten tajin in Napoli Italy but that was really taste of tajin not like this which is flavorless and expensive and so little I don’t recommend it at all

Would not recommend at all. I had to go and buy food from another restaurant. It is very expensive. No taste and so little food.. Think before you go there!!!

We arrive 18:15 and they said they won’t be able to serve us until 20:00. Even there were available 3-4 tables, we needed to go out. I’d never recommend it this place.

As a Moroccan myself, I went to this restaurant with low expectations, thinking that the food won’t taste authentic but I have to admit that it does taste like homemade Moroccan food, 100% authentic! When I told the waiter he explained that they don’t skip any step when cooking these traditional Moroccan dishes which preserves the real taste of the dishes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as well. My only remark is that the music choices can be better, I suggest more classic Moroccan music, Lmal7oun, Tarab Andalousi… to make the experience of enjoying Moroccan food even more authentic. N.B: Dutchies, please stop mixing couscous with Tagine, we don’t do that!! Tagine is eaten with bread while couscous is eaten the way it is with a spoon/fork 😌

I came here with a group of friends. The atmosphere is very cool they gave us a big table since we were a large group. We ate the delicious food. They also have a vegetarian option which I really appreciated. We also had tea, very tasty and recommended. The service was good and even though we were a bog group it did not take long for the meals to arrive a day they did not make any confusion or errors in preparing the food. Very nice Moroccan restaurant. Even my Moroccan friend confirmed. I would recommend!!

We had to pay for dinner in advance. Unfortunately, due to illness, 1 person had to cancel on the day itself. The rest of the group attended, but we did not receive a refund for the person who canceled. We were able to take the food with us, hence two stars. Everything else was fine.

We had iftar here with a group of colleagues, about 12 people, during Ramadan. Top atmosphere, top service from the ladies and a good laugh together. Everything was well arranged for the group. One of the ladies also took a nice group photo of us. Food was delicious. The colleagues also thought it was worth repeating!!😊

Authentic moroccan restaurant. Food is well prepared and the service is nice and attentive. I was there for dinner on several occasions and I was always pleased with the flavors I discovered. They do not serve any alcohol, inline with their traditions.

The restaurant is small, but the food is delicious, and they have fries that you need to add to your order. We ordered a traditional meat tagine, soup, fries, and a caramel flan dessert.

The restaurant has nice decorations. It has two seating areas, upstairs and downstairs. Each seating area can seat 10 people. The owners and staff are a family from Northern Morocco. The loose leaf tea list is extensive. The tajines, bastilla, hummus, and olives are excellent.

As a Moroccan I can say that the food is almost identical to the food I am used to in Morocco, super tasty! Super nice and friendly staff. I really had a wonderful evening. Definitely recommended, 10/10!

I've been going to this restaurant since 2018. The food is very good but the service needs to be improved. I went there yesterday and the waitress, who is probably 20 years old (at least she has the maturity of a teenager) behaved disgracefully. During dinner, she came up to us and asked if we had finished with our glasses of tea because they "had run out of clean glasses and needed glasses". Shameful behaviour. Afterwards, my friend and I had two courses and not the menu (we didn’t took the hrira). This had not been specified when she took the order. My friend and I pointed this out to her...but the way she spoke was very aggressive. We decided to pay...in view of this immature behaviour we decided not to give her too much importance. I was annoyed that she went behind our backs and made us look like rude customers. I don't accept disrespect...even less when it comes from a spoilt 20 year old girl who can't speak or work and who passes on her emotions in the way she works. Education needs to be reviewed. Don't make her work in the restaurant business. In any case, the other little lady from Nador is very charming and welcoming. I really liked the fact that she came by and asked us if everything was going well. A lovely lady I give you a 5 because I am Moroccan and I support the business of any Moroccan. But the lack of respect, the bad behaviour and the unprofessionalism of this spoilt little girl are intolerable.

I visited on a Thursday night. It's a small restaurant - maybe a dozen or so tables. I ate upstairs and there was a relaxed atmosphere (despite only being one other couple) with some pleasant background music and eclectic decor. The food was very good - as good as it gets for a tagine. I had the prawn tagine with a side of couscous. It was just the right amount of spicy with a generous number of prawns. However, at 28 Euro for the tagine (which was a small portion) and couscous I thought it was expensive. It comes with bread but I ate the lot and was still hungry. Realistically, 2 courses a drink and service are going to be around 45-50 Euro. That feels too much.

They enforce ordering 3 starters and 1 main course, which is a lot of food that ends up getting wasted or you end up over eating. Not a fun experience when you are dining out. We saw there were leftovers at almost every table and thats a shame. This is super weird and have never seen this happening at any restaurant in Amsterdam. Plus this is one of the restaurants that don’t provide tap water and sell expensive bottled water. Not going back to this place just because the food is good.

The food is absolutely incredible. It is like being transported to Morocco. Highly recommend trying their bastilla, very authentic. On the downside, they enforce a minimum of one main course or 3 starters per person. The portions are huge which results in food getting wasted. This is very unusual.

The tajine is delicious but it is pricey for what you get. Not many vegetarian options but the Moroccan kitchen in general isn’t. The service is not very attentive and seems very disinterested (on their phone a lot etc)

The place is small and I definitely recommend a reservation. I had the veal tagine and it is one of the best meals I have ever had and combined with the hummus it was amazing. I plan on coming back every time I am in Amsterdam.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Leckere Vorspeise, Chicken-Wings mit Honig, Paprika gefüllt mit Hackfleisch, leckere Garnelen und das Gemüse war top. Die Bastilla war super lecker und die Portion eher für zwei Personen. Alles in allem sehr lecker und empfehlenswert.

This is by far one of the best moroccan food I've had outside Morocco. The ambiance music was on point and the interior was really cozy. The food was exquisite and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants to try some authentic dishes. 10/10

Second time we have come here, first time was over 4 years ago. The experience is always the same, tasty and authentic cuisine in large quantities, especially the starters. The staff is welcoming and helpful except for one lady who did not accept us yesterday because our reservation was not on the right date (error on my part but the restaurant was very empty).

Very good restaurant, we ate a beldi couscous and a mechwi plate, everything was very good, very good value for money, helpful and welcoming staff, and we were able to get a table on a Saturday evening without reservation. Very good address
