Culinary surprise! And you can choose 3, 4 or 5 dishes from the menu plus 2 appetizers in advance. Fortunately, because everything - meat, fish and vegetarian - is equally delicious and so you can taste a lot.

Delicious and original food, really special and beautiful. The atmosphere (color of walls, lighting, etc.) is unfortunately cold and uninviting. The restaurant seems a lot poorer than it is because the food remains delicious and the service is super friendly. Despite the interior, absolutely recommended!

Earlier this week I had a wonderful meal at Nona Manis. What friendly people & what delicious dishes they know how to put on the table. We enjoyed a four-course menu supplemented with 2 amuses. It was nice that with each course they explained what was on your plate, and how it was prepared. The combination with the wines was also great. We will definitely come back!

I had high expectations, because of all the good reviews here. They were largely successful: nice service, good atmosphere, good food. Expect small, original, tasty dishes (tip: be sure to choose 5 if you want enough). You can just sit here and dine all evening. But: for 5 stars it could be a little better. The chairs are uncomfortable, the menu is a printed A4 sheet and the shaved ice for dessert is just not up to par. Not even after the explanation afterwards about how special it apparently was. And I had to laugh at what is called 'side dishes' on the menu: two Madurodam-sized dishes on a small plate. On the site it's called appetizers, which describes it better.

The first experience in the restaurant was the friendly staff who thought very carefully about the drinks and the menu. There were many options if you asked and options were also suggested, such as spicy food. The menu is also very nice, with a choice of several dishes, where the kitchen creates a real menu with your choices. The food was also of exceptionally good quality, great flavor combinations, the right level of spiciness for everyone - it was unbelievably good. The only minor downside was that the food took quite a long time to arrive, which caused some frustration. However, the quality of the food and the fantastic explanation of what you got made up for it completely, so I would definitely recommend it.

Good restaurant with friendly service. A bit on the pricey side for the quantity, although you can always order more rice. We found some dishes less cold, such as the satay. Special flavors that you don't often encounter.

Tasty and well-prepared dishes. Nice wine list. Wine arrangement is quite affordable, as is the menu where you can choose from 3, 4 or 5 courses, including 2 snacks. The service is excellent: enthusiastic, driven and knowledgeable.

A very special, small but intimate, Indonesian restaurant. It serves a stunning and modern Indonesian high cuisine. The cook and owner has been cooking internationally at Indonesian embassies and for the president of the Republic of Indonesia. No traditional Dutch-Indonesian food, but far better. Good wines and beer to add to the experience. Friendly staff. Worth a detour when visiting cities like Leiden, the Hague or as far as Amsterdam. Do call for a reservation in advance.

Food was very tasty and tasty. Wine is served generously, so that's nice. The redfish with roasted coconut sauce was highly recommended. 3 stars for the atmosphere are because we had nowhere to leave our coat and because it is quite dark when you enter, which made it seem closed.

Fantastic! Authentic Indonesian cuisine with a fine dinning touch. We enjoyed it so much. A family with passion. Each dish has a story that takes you to that specific place where the authentic dish is produced today. We're not from the area, but we'll definitely pass by again if we do. And a broad wine list with a number of pearls on the menu.

Ga écht hier eten! Eindelijk eens geen standaard Indonesische rijsttafel, maar heerlijke authentieke gerechten. Veel kleur op je bord, met heerlijke kruiden en smaken. De bediening is vriendelijk en legt per gerecht goed uit wat erop je bord ligt.

Absolutely great Indonesian food. Great dishes with deep flavours and lot of variety. Not the normal “rijsttafel” style you’d normally find in the Netherlands, but refined small dishes. Highly recommended.

The dinner 4 course with wine pairing was surprisingly good. Great quality, balanced and delicious. Only one of my fish dish has lots of bones.

We had such a delicious and special meal here! The craftsmanship, passion, creativity and love for Indonesian cuisine shine through. We were surprised and chef Eduard served us one special dish after another. The vegetarian variants were also delicious. After the special dessert (a variation on crème brulée), a glass of spekkoek liqueur with coffee made it complete. Had a fantastic evening and we will definitely come back again. Well worth an hour of travel time for us!

Highly recommended to eat here. Enjoy the delicious Indonesian cuisine to the fullest. A great concept that the owner applies, introducing people to the delicious dishes of one of the islands. The explanation you receive with the dish is sublime.

Following a very positive piece in NRC, I went to Oegstgeest in good spirits. And we are not disappointed on the contrary. Great flavors, original cooking with authentic ingredients. Wine list remarkably good. Service correct yet warm and personal.

Upon entering Nona Manis, I was embraced by an inviting aromatic prelude. The 'otak-otak' elegantly set the stage, hinting at culinary wonders to come. 'Karedok,' draped in a robust peanut sauce, offers a dance of simplicity and audacity. The 'kerang simping', seemingly whispered of Indonesian culinary tales, while the Ikan Arsik, with its profound andaliman notes, undeniably took center stage. At Nona Manis, I contend, one doesn't just dine; one partakes in flavorful ballet, leaving one pondering an encore, perhaps after a brief intermission for some light exercise.

Truly special interpretations of authentic Indonesian dishes, of which you choose several and which are then served one after the other. Because we came there for the first time, it took some getting used to, but we liked it! Also fantastic homemade drinks and desserts. Enjoyed!

A nice surprise, this is Indonesian food, but different. Real culinary dining with special dishes that all taste delicious. We took the chef's surprise menu and we don't regret it. Very tasty, we will come back here again...

No value for money we left after 2 hours super small dishes so hungry we had to go home to eat a sandwich. The price for 2 people 146 with 4 total glasses of wine and a bottle of water. The food was tasty, the price unacceptable for the value, staff is nice but slow. I won’t be back any time soon and this is a complete bummer as the food was good but for that price I demand on time food, leaving full and satisfied.

Exquisite and special Indonesian food. Surprising small dishes with refined flavors, with a story behind every dish. Not cheap, but well worth the price. Not to eat quickly, but to enjoy in peace. A nice detail is that with various dishes you also get the herbs separately, to illustrate the dish. See the photos for an impression.

What a surprising place! Beautiful authentic flavors combined in next level Indonesian dishes. Not what we are necessarily used to in the Netherlands. What you want to taste if you like real Indonesian cuisine! I would like it to be a little spicier, but with new peppers on the way, that should be fine. And then the ash campur! Uh lala enak! Es campur 2.0 we have decided. Thanks for a great night out!
