Restaurant Nooch in Grachtengordel-West

The food was good and tasty but nothing that would make me visit the restaurant again. Specially after overcharging us +3,5€ for a fried rice that we did not even ordered

Spicy Nasi Goreng Kambing, Gui Con Rolls and Pangsit Goreng Guicon Rolls were smaller portion than how guicon rolls usually are made. There is no trademark peanut sauce (but instead there is peanut toppings). Pangsit Goreng has chicken inside wonton wrappers, a bit bland but the sweet chili sauce makes up for it. Even though the wonton balls are deep fried, you don't feel greasy upon biting it. The Nasi Goreng was slightly disappointing. It was bland, we could not taste the savory/umami of usual Nasi Goreng, the spice was there but the sweet soysauce and shrimp paste flavor which supposedly adds to the savory flavor was missing. It was a good serving size, with lamb meat (which was also bland), carrots, spring onions and cucumber. We had to ask salt and add it to our already mixed together dish at some point because it was too bland. We hope this was just one bad experience. Customer service and atmosphere was great.

Plate-licking delicious from first bite to last. Such a cool place too. Love the table upstairs overlooking the bar.

We had great service by Liewe, and the food was delicious too. The restaurant’s atmosphere was nice too. We recommend the flambé salmon roll, and the dadar gulung (?) dessert :)

I was very disappointed with the food. The starters were clearly not fresh—frozen and dropped in the fryer, leaving them greasy and lacking any real flavour. The main dish was no better: extremely salty, greasy, and over-seasoned to the point of being unpleasant. Unfortunately, nothing we had was enjoyable. Where we sat we could see the kitchen - nearly everything was either microwaved or just taken out if of a box and fried. For the price point you can do better, literally anywhere.

There are many Asian dishes to choose from, the food quality is also good, the waiters are friendly and kind, they just moved to a new shop, there is a 20% discount promotion, and it is more affordable☺️

As an Indonesian living in the Netherlands, I can testify that the nasi goreng and bebek goreng here taste authentic!

Great restaurant, we've always loved the one in the 9 straatjes and like the new restaurant. Only thing of feedback, relatively expensive..

Excellent experience, great gluten free food

Amazing restaurant, the staff were all super friendly and it had a great vibe. The gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu and the beef teriyaki was incredible. My partner loved his sushi so much, he ordered a second serving.

It was the opening day and I can understand some unexpected things might happen. The food was really delicious but the service could have been better. There was a big gap between the bites and the food. Also we felt the downstairs area a bit too noisy. Overall really good. Thanks

Fantastic menu, most of which can be made vegan and the two dishes we had were very tasty. Staff were kind and attentive- the best service we’ve had in Amsterdam!

Visited twice for dinner in May 2025. Delicious pho, spring rolls and sesame chicken wings! Great service as well. Can get noisy when busy.

Oh my goodness this place is GOOD. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, particularly the caipirinha and the strawberry g&t. And then the food was to die for, Vietnamese beef salad absolutely on point and the Thai red curry sooo flavorful and delicious. Best food in the city.

I was looking for a comforting and hydrating meal after my long flight. I stumbled upon Nooch and had the best noodle soup of my life. Highly recommend the vegan crispy soy duck!

Table for two at this restaurant, I was extremely satisfied. I took some Uyani Udon and the person with me took a gluten-free Chicken Noodle Soup. Both delicious and really generous portions. Really friendly staff. For example, the gluten-free alternatives were immediately illustrated (since I had written it in the booking notes) and we were asked if we wanted cutlery instead of chopsticks in case we didn't feel comfortable, not by everyone. Average prices but absolutely justified, I dare say that I paid very little for the overall experience.

This was our first meal in Amsterdam and it was outstanding!!! It was that good we wanted to return, but it was fully booked. They dealt with my gluten free needs as I have coeliac disease and they were friendly and attentive My husband and I had chicken wings and then I had chicken pad thai and he had chicken fried noodles and it was all delicious!!! We will be back! ❤️

Best Thai Salad! Spectacular cocktails!

Although the food was a sign of bitterness, it was not bitter. Pad Thai was delicious. Udon was also nice. Tempura Maki was nice. Gyoza was nice too. We drank a bottle of French wine, it was nice.

Found it as one of the few places serving Asian food at 10:00 pm on a weekday. The cocktail ‘matcha mule’ was interesting & different. The seafood noodles as the main course was such a disappointment at €23 nonetheless. Just get over greasy with no spices or flavour at all. Was hungry & spent this amount so ate it but was a huge miss. Also, while servers were v warm they seemed understaffed. No one came to ask if I needed anything else or if food was ok. I was waiting & hoping to atleast get a chilli oil to add some flavour. Was in Amsterdam for a night & this was my meal so a bit disappointing!

The chicken is smelly, but the chef said he bought it yesterday...don't come here anyway...

Venimos a comer cada vez que estamos en Amsterdam. Es bang en medio de 9 calles y muy accesible durante las compras allí. La comida siempre es interesante con la porción justa. A wonderful restaurant that impresses not only with nice and a pleasant atmosphere but also extraordinary delicious food. Very fair value for money and a clear recommendation for an evening with friends but also a business diner or even a romantic date.

If u wanna experience 'taste of asia', just say "more spicy". When you want to eat hometown food, you go and choose bamboo rice and any noodle dish and ask for it to be spicy. They make it really spicy.

After many wanderings at other Asia fusion restaurants, we ate at Nooch today, we had a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere with very good and friendly service. The food was very tasty and the portions were also more than sufficient, perhaps a small tip regarding the sushi, as far as we are concerned the portions could be a bit smaller so that you can have more choice if there are two of you, otherwise no complaints whatsoever. We would love to come back in the future

Just going to say a rat ran through the restaurant right before my food came out. Only got 10% off my entire meal :/. The electricity also went out. Lol… I do not recommend

Very nice ambience and service, a plethora of multicultural cuisines to choose from on the menu. Flavour profiles of the starters are quite nice, but the pho could have done better. The sushi roll was pretty tasty though, great restaurant overall!

Really good food, best asian food I have had, I had the duck and it was so tender but the outside was super crispy and flavourful. The red wine was delicious, very comfortable place, nice and quiet.

Our table experienced tremendous joy at nooch in the centre of Amsterdam. Food was lovely, staff was very generous and kind. The prices were good considering they freshly make their main courses in the kitchen.

We had such a great time at Nooch, a lovely cozy restaurant with immaculate Asian food. Super close to the metro as well and the staff was so kind!

While the atmosphere and service were terrific, unfortunately the food was a lot oilier than I remember from our past visit. My husband had The Vegan pad Thai and it was too oily, I had the vegetable soup, both vegan, Soup was extremely flavorful and enjoyable but again I would've loved it without oil. We definitely will be back, the food is always good we just need to remind the kitchen to go a little easy on the oil.

came here for my birthday with my boyfriend. we were visiting from NYC and had the best pad thai of our lives. every food item was incredible and they were extremely accommodating as he is gluten free (celiac). staff were very lovely

He seleccionado este restaurante para un amigo ponerse al día. Llegué 5 minutos antes de la apertura y entré en el restaurante porque vi gente entrar. Los chicos del bar me dijeron que sigue cerrado. Podía entenderlo así que esperé afuera. Si yo fuera ellos permitiría que alguien se sentara y vendiera una bebida. Hacía mucho frío afuera y me pareció un poco raro, ya que era solo 5 minutos. Cuando finalmente me senté usé un WC. No estaba limpio y olía mal. El olor de los perfumes del baño era tan horrible que quería dejar un restaurante ya que perdí el apetito. Nos acercaron de inmediato con la oferta de bebidas y la comida nos fue recomendada. Tomé una deliciosa bebida y el entrante estaba bien. La comida era súper promedio. Sorprendentemente necesitabas pagar extra por verduras en la comida. Qué raro fue eso. No creo que volvería a elegir este lugar. Pero el personal era amable y me ofreció llevar para la comida que no terminé porque la porción era bastante grande.

Music was (too) loud and was turned up again and again despite requests, making it difficult to talk to each other. The step into the toilet is insufficiently marked and difficult to see due to the black tiles. Cracked toilet seat - really not possible in a restaurant of this quality! Food and service excellent.

I had the vegetable soup noodles and it was divine! The broth was super tasty and the vegetables were crunchy and fresh. It's the perfect spot and dish to cure any hungover, cold or tiredness. Everything was tasty and the place is calm and cozy.

A great meal! Possibly the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. The service and the atmosphere was great! The servers were attentive and friendly. They have lots of gluten free and veggie options. A server came up and explained which items were gluten free/ could be made gluten free. Would definitely recommend.

A friendly welcome when we entered and a nice table, but then the service was slow and a bit disorganized. The tempura shrimp, gyoza, sushi rolls and pad Thai were excellent... wasn't a fan of the spring rolls or sweet and sour chicken, however the others in our group enjoyed them. We would come back but it wasn't as spectacular as I'd hoped!

Antes de visitar Amsterdam busqué opciones de comida asiática ya que a mi hijo le encanta y encontré a Nooch de esa manera. Las reseñas de Tripadvisor parecían positivas, así que reservó en línea. Toda la comunicación antes de la llegada fue genial, con un correo electrónico automatizado el día antes de pedirle que confirme la reserva. El restaurante en sí está en una parte tan encantadora de Amsterdam y cruzar tres canales en nuestro paseo allí fue tan grande. La decoración y el ambiente es acogedor, íntimo, cálido y amable. Primero pedimos una variedad de entrantes... todos los cuales eran realmente sabrosos... luego un par de platos principales y un postre compartido. Los entrantes fueron los mejores y luego sentí que el principal y el postre eran agradables, pero han tenido mejor. Redes carentes de especias. En general nos encantó nuestro tiempo allí y sin duda lo recomendaría. El servicio se volvió un poco lento a medida que pasaba la noche y tuvimos que llamar su atención un par de veces.

We were craving sushi and stumbled upon Nooch, located near the center of Amsterdam. I must say, it exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service was incredibly friendly, with staff regularly checking in to see if everything was alright. I highly recommend the Sushi Sashimi Mix Platter — truly one of the best I‘ve ever had! The price depends on how much you order, but expect to spend around €30-40 per person if you're hungry. It's a bit on the pricier side, but worth every cent!

Fantastic: We went there two days in a row during our stay in Amsterdam because it was so delicious. Pad thai (one of the best ever tasted), super tasty soups, teryaki. Everything is very good and in generous portions. The 3 boys serving are just adorable. Magnificent address. It is advisable to book in advance.

After living in Asia for the past 10 years, we are on the hunt for quality Asian food in Amsterdam. Nooch takes classical Asian flavors with a spin- it’s Asian fusion with authenticity. It’s not going to be your typical one region cuisine but a harmonious balance of some classics. My very picky partner - loved the duck dishes and thought they were comparable to Hong Kong. We appreciated that the server let us take our time ordering and there was no rush - gave suggested when needed. The vibe was just right, good tunes, lighting, casual yet upscale.
