We had a delicious meal. Fresh sushi and friendly staff. Yes, they are very focused on time, but I didn't find this bothersome. I even appreciated that they came by half an hour beforehand to let us know that time was running out and if we wanted to order anything else.

I have been coming to Miu for years and have always had pleasant experiences there. The food is good and the quality is really consistent, which I greatly appreciate. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. It is a nice place for a date night, but also to come with family or friends. Additionally, the restaurant is located very centrally in Amsterdam, making it easy to reach. I still enjoy coming back.

Incredible service!!! We opted for the 2 hours eat what you can and we expected slow service but we're hugely surprised. Everything we wanted was included. Sushi was lovely and fresh. Highly recommended for a sushi feast!!! 🍣

A fun evening with my group of girls. Beautiful warm lighting and a cozy atmosphere. The food was tasty. You don't get a sad little sushi roll. The rice was delicious and not hard, which I have often received at other restaurants. I also recommend the salmon sashimi! Although you have to pay extra for it, it was definitely worth it. The staff was very friendly. Oh yeah, shoutout to Victoria and Anthony. Both were very hospitable. We will definitely be coming here more often.

For a girls' night out, we went to MIU and were welcomed with great hospitality upon arrival. The food was served properly without us having to wait too long, and to keep in mind, the portions are not to be underestimated. We experienced the atmosphere as truly heartfelt. Thanks also to Victoria, a lovely, cheerful girl; both made the experience and atmosphere at MIU outstanding.

We received a wonderful welcome, just like coming home after a lovely holiday. The staff is super friendly and considerate regarding any allergies. On top of that, the food is superb. The sushi, in particular, is delicious. The only downside is that it is a bit warm. Unfortunately, I personally can handle the heat.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. When making the reservation, we clearly stated that we would be bringing a child and that we needed a high chair. If the restaurant does not have a high chair and does not allow strollers inside, they should not accept the reservation in the first place. Instead, while we were trying to calm our child down, they told us that some customers had complained and that we needed to calm our child down by any means necessary or take them outside. In the end, they moved our table to one right by the entrance.And instead of eating, one of the four of us had to spend the meal holding the child on their lap and could not to eat.

Have been coming here whenever im in Amsterdam for 3 years now, always a fantastic meal. The salmon tartare sushi & shrimp tempura with sauce are some of my absolute favorites. Service is impeccable. Visited with my mother who has parkinson's. Her medication wore off and she couldnt walk back to the hotel. Staff were attentive and compassionate, checking up on her/us and asking if there was anything they could do. Got her to the entrance and they asked us if we'd like a chair for her to sit, which we did, and brought some water as well. Specific shoutout of my thanks to fleur, very very helpful and compassionate for us tonight! Thank you so much

A very good experience at this all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant. The waitress was very kind, smiling, and helpful throughout the meal. Definitely not child friendly. Went there to celebrate my birthday, but wasn’t allowed to go into the ‘dining area’ because of our stroller and the chance of my baby crying. Also no other place to leave the stroller behind. No high chairs available and no place to change my baby. So I had no other choice then to do it on the chair next to me, but that wasn’t allowed either. Wouldn’t recommend!

Normally they didn't split the bill, and a 5 euro tip would have been appropriate. Upon arrival, we were assisted very kindly by the staff. The food was delicious and incredibly fresh. The service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant looked well-maintained and tidy. The drinks also arrived within just a minute. The only downside is that we had a table in the aisle where everyone and everything was walking, so our spot was a bit noisy. However, this did not detract from the good experience, so I would still recommend it 100%.

I had a great experience there; our waiter (Rai) was extremely sweet and ensured we were having a nice time during the whole meal. The restaurant is very comfortable and though it doesn't give the impression that it is so crowded even when it is. The food is amazing, they have an all you can eat and a regular (a la carte) menu.

Just got home, we had a delicious meal. The service was superb, and it was very thoughtful of the restaurant to take Remembrance Day into account; the music was turned off, everyone was quiet, and not even a sound came from the kitchen. This was already stated on the door upon entry and was neatly mentioned at the start by the hostess (Isa), who was very friendly and pleasant. Definitely recommended.

I have visited over 200 sushi restaurants in my life... this one is definitely in the Top 2! The fish is super fresh and super tasty, the salmon is really super tender and has a lot of flavor, the seaweed is not tough, and the rice is delicious too!

I think it's absolutely the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life, so far! The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the dishes were quickly brought and cleared from the table. At the beginning of the evening, a waitress greeted us and explained how the restaurant worked. I thought there was an all-you-can-eat menu like in Italy, but in reality, there were two menus to choose from: around €40 excluding drinks and desserts, and around €50 including drinks and desserts. The service was very fast, and you could taste the quality and freshness of the fish in every bite. I was very surprised by the rice: usually, you find it cold and sticky, but this was warm, melting in your mouth, delicate, and enveloping, making it very enjoyable. The portions were generous, and the ingredients you won't find in any all-you-can-eat restaurant were delicious, like octopus or eel. There was also this beef carpaccio (photo attached), which was very good and of high quality. I really appreciated that each order contained a maximum of 8 items, so you don't fill up your stomach right away but can enjoy each dish to the fullest. I would have preferred more choice on the menu; there isn't a huge selection, although this is indicative of the quality and freshness of the products, so that's fine. The experience lasts a maximum of 2 hours, and if you have any leftovers, it will be added to your bill. I would have preferred the restaurant to be brighter. If I were to return to Amsterdam, I would definitely return! Congratulations, guys!

Hidden behind a small entrance is a very beautiful and atmospherically decorated restaurant. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented. The sushi was delicious and fresh. The meat dishes were tender and flavorful. Not your average all-you-can-eat junk, but high-quality products. Reservations are necessary. Highly recommended!

Nice place with delicious food, however too expensive, as everything else in Amsterdam! We opted for the buffet which doesn’t include all the things in the menu and it costs 40 euros per person. We added a few beers and we payed more than 200 euros for 4 people. Everything that we ordered was very delicious, but the portions were very small (again, as almost everywhere else in the city). Moreover, one person can order only 4 items every 10 minutes during the 2 hours allowed stay. Overall, the experience was great and the food very delicious. At last but not least, better have a reservations as the place was full.

Delicious food, wonderful sushi, fish, and meat. Friendly staff. Placing orders via tablet is easy. There are a few dishes that require an additional charge, which isn't a problem in itself, but it would have been great without it. And finally, regarding the flow of people and seating, the distance between tables is quite small, and at some point, guests behind or around you will touch your chair while joining or getting up. "But of course, that happens accidentally," it still doesn't feel very comfortable. I constantly felt disturbed while eating.

What a great experience. The reservation was very easy through the website. We also got a reminder email. The Restaurant Manager was really welcoming and he explained the "all you can eat" details. He made his best to satisfy us from the start until the end of the meal. The food was delicious, for every round you can order up to 8 courses (4 per person). The size of every course was great despite it's an "all you can eat" menu. I would like to mention the service, it was one of the best I have ever experienced. I was trying to find a song name through an app but I had a bad connection, the waiter saw me and came to me with the name of the song and the wifi password. It's such a small detail but this is the definition of great service for me. The name of the waiter was Anthony and I would like to thank him for everything. Great organization, fast and efficient service, welcoming people and great food. Thank you MIU team. We will be back soon!

Upon arrival, we didn't receive a tablet. Only 10 minutes later, after ordering drinks, did we receive any glasses either... luckily, the waiter was kind enough to bring them. Unfortunately, we received quite a few dishes we hadn't ordered, and we didn't receive many things we had ordered. This also included the sashimi, which we ordered twice, but unfortunately only received once. In round 5, we received two more dishes from round 1. The icing on the cake was a bottle of wine on the receipt, even though we never ordered it. Fortunately, they still took it off.

We've been coming to Miu frequently for the last four years, and the only negative thing I can say about them is that they changed their gyoza from steamed to fried. Otherwise each and every time we've gone, we've had the absolute best service from either Rai or Victoria, and the food is always amazing. They have a good variety of dishes that is sure to please anyone in your party. Whenever friends come to visit us, we take them to Miu, special occasion? You bet your biscuits we're going to Miu. We've tried different AYCE spots around Amsterdam, and they're always missing the charm and experience of Miu. If you want to have a worthwhile experience/date/business outing, I cannot recommend Miu more highly. Unfortunately I've moved away from Amsterdam, but every time I find myself in town for anything, there's a non-zero chance I'll be making a visit to Miu.

Great experience! The food was delicious; my favorites are the salmon salad, the beef tenderloin, and the tempura shrimp! The fish and meat were of amazing quality! The ambiance was beautiful, intimate, and peaceful. The service was super helpful with recommendations; a lovely team to be served by, and it is clear that they work hard. There are traces of the building's history hanging in the restaurant, nice to pause and reflect. Receiving both local and international guests in such a central location is not easy ~ I am impressed! I don't recommend this sushi place, as they have absolutely no choice on the menu. Furthermore, the €45 all-you-can-eat menu didn't even include sashimi. It's not at all like Italian sushi. A bottle of water costs €8, pure madness.

Been coming to this restaurant for years. My family & I come quite often, and I don't have any complaints. It genuinely is my/our favorite restaurant in the world & the food is always amazing & the service is even better. Everyone is very attentive & you never wait long to be served. Anytime someone asks me for recommendations in Holland, this is the first place I mention. Victoria is by far the greatest host we've had & she really just adds to the great atmosphere.

The food is really delicious! I'm not normally a fan of all-you-can-eat concepts, but I think this is one of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants. I've been going there for years, good for the owner, but it's a shame it's become so popular and therefore so crowded😬😩 It's also a shame that kids are judged by height. That's unfair for tall kids; they don't necessarily eat anymore; they weigh themselves by weight or something😅. Anyway, the food is delicious, yum yum! 5 stars

Last night I ate at Miu Amsterdam and it was a great experience. I'm giving it 5 stars because it was simply a good value for the price and location. It's an all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant in the city center with a relaxed atmosphere, fresh sushi, and friendly service.

I ate here, and it was truly excellent. The service was friendly and fast; we received excellent service without being overwhelming. Orders arrived promptly, and everything ran smoothly. The food was fantastic: fresh sushi, good quality, and everything tasted great. The hot dishes were also perfectly prepared and arrived hot. I really enjoyed the food and the whole experience. Definitely a place I would return to.

The food is very tasteless and not very fresh. My friend got sick right after eating, unfortunately. Also important is that the restaurant has no atmosphere at all. It feels like you're in some kind of party venue, crammed together.

Terrible, horrible, terrible. Coming from South Africa I’m shocked at the hospitality. We came for a girls night dinner and because I’m sick I didn’t want to eat too much. The rest of my friends wanted all you can eat while i just wanted a few small dishes. The waitress rudely told me that if i didnt eat the all you can eat menu that I couldn’t eat anything. I sat through the whole dinner watching my friends eat while I sat there. How can you treat a customer like this?

Good value for money, friendly service, and everything arrived hot. Cozy atmosphere! We came on a Thursday evening and it was pleasantly busy, which is usually a good sign. Although that might also be due to late-night shopping. Plenty of choice, everything was fresh and flavorful. The chicken and lamb are halal. The restaurant is located in the city center, so it's ideal after a day of shopping. Tip: I would recommend coming by public transport; it's the easiest way. Definitely a place I would return to!

Far too little choice in lemurs

Terrible experience! I absolutely do not recommend going to this place. The food was nothing special, rolls with too many sauces and terrible combinations. The staff was EXTREMELY rude. We left 7 or 8 rolls because they weren't good, and they added the extra to our bill. We only asked for a bottle of water after the kitchen closed to finish our dinner, and they refused. Not even a glass of water?! Pure madness, the staff were indifferent and rude! The only positive note was Victoria, who apologized and at least gave us a glass of water when we left. Learn how to treat your customers!

I had a reservation on a weekday, and it was so busy I was sitting next to other people, and it was so cramped I felt uncomfortable. The ambient noise was too loud, and my table was too small for any plates. It took forever for the food to arrive, and I was still hungry. 🫣 And the worst part was that you have to pay 8 euros for every dish you can't finish. At other restaurants, it's less considered, but at this one, WOW! They're very strict!!! I have to admit, the food was delicious! That was a plus, and I also thought the staff were very nice—nice ladies who work hard!

Cozy atmosphere, a bit dark, but fine. Lovely candles on the table. Reserving in advance is a must; it's always packed. The staff is very friendly and comes by regularly. The sushi and other dishes are fresh, warm (hot!), and, in our opinion, freshly prepared. The restaurant is located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, around the corner from Dam Square. Literally across from the tram stop (lines 2, 12, and 17). Easily accessible. The prices are also not outrageous by Amsterdam standards. I'll definitely be back.

Hands down, one of the best sushi experiences I've had anywhere. It's a genuine 'must visit' and that rare kind of place you'll be excited to know about and confidently suggest to anyone.

We had a delicious meal and the staff were very helpful and responsive throughout the evening. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. You can order unlimited dishes for two hours, so there's no limit on the number of rounds. The sushi tasted very fresh, as did the hot dishes. All in all, highly recommended!

I just arrived at MIU because I had a wonderful meal there before. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM, and we arrived at 5:55 PM. We entered and were seated in a spot that smelled of sewage. We asked if we could sit somewhere else because there was still room in the restaurant itself. He thought about it for a long time and then said yes, but that we'd have to wait much longer. We told him we needed to think about it. After a minute, he came over and said we REALLY had to make a choice now, or our spot would be taken away. We officially had four minutes left for our reservation, and this man wanted to give our spot away because it was busy. I found this completely unprofessional from the employee. For this experience alone, I would never come here again, as they were completely unsympathetic. This is such a shame. I don't pay to sit in a sewage smell. I won't be coming back.

We had a fantastic meal there. I was also surprised that the sashimi was included in the all-you-can-eat deal! I loved it with the salad. And the Thai waiter was so sweet :) The atmosphere was great. It has a warm and dark atmosphere, super nice. Great for a date or dinner with friends. I absolutely loved it. And if you drink a lot, there's also an all-you-can-eat concept where you can also drink unlimited. Everything is halal except the dim sum.

Wrong working hours, false advertisement on all you can eat

Today I went out for dinner with a friend. We made a reservation in advance. We were a bit late. But because it was busy, we couldn't eat for two hours. That wasn't a problem. However, the female server kept walking in front of us, letting us know we only had a limited amount of time to sit and eat. It was not so pleasant anymore. But in the last 20 minutes, we were told we only had 20 minutes left and then the table had to be free. When it was time, we received the bill (we didn't ask for it). We were allowed to finish our drinks. Just as we were finishing our last sip, she was already back in front of us. Well, I wouldn't go back to this all-you-can-eat place. Especially not if you're chased away!! Not worth going back.
