I don't recommend this sushi place, as they have absolutely no choice on the menu. Furthermore, the €45 all-you-can-eat menu didn't even include sashimi. It's not at all like Italian sushi. A bottle of water costs €8, pure madness.

Been coming to this restaurant for years. My family & I come quite often, and I don't have any complaints. It genuinely is my/our favorite restaurant in the world & the food is always amazing & the service is even better. Everyone is very attentive & you never wait long to be served. Anytime someone asks me for recommendations in Holland, this is the first place I mention. Victoria is by far the greatest host we've had & she really just adds to the great atmosphere.

A fantastic experience! The food was delicious; my favorites were the salmon salad, the tenderloin, and the tempura shrimp! The fish and meat were of excellent quality! The ambiance was beautiful, intimate, and peaceful. The service was incredibly helpful with recommendations, the team was wonderful, and it was clear they were working hard. The restaurant has traces of the building's history, which is nice to reflect on. Such a central location and hosting both local and international guests isn't easy ~ I'm impressed! Last night I ate at Miu Amsterdam and it was a great experience. I'm giving it 5 stars because it was simply a good value for the price and location. It's an all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant in the city center with a relaxed atmosphere, fresh sushi, and friendly service.

The food is really delicious! I'm not normally a fan of all-you-can-eat concepts, but I think this is one of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants. I've been going there for years, good for the owner, but it's a shame it's become so popular and therefore so crowded😬😩 It's also a shame that kids are judged by height. That's unfair for tall kids; they don't necessarily eat anymore; they weigh themselves by weight or something😅. Anyway, the food is delicious, yum yum! 5 stars

The food is very tasteless and not very fresh. My friend got sick right after eating, unfortunately. Also important is that the restaurant has no atmosphere at all. It feels like you're in some kind of party venue, crammed together.

Terrible, horrible, terrible. Coming from South Africa I’m shocked at the hospitality. We came for a girls night dinner and because I’m sick I didn’t want to eat too much. The rest of my friends wanted all you can eat while i just wanted a few small dishes. The waitress rudely told me that if i didnt eat the all you can eat menu that I couldn’t eat anything. I sat through the whole dinner watching my friends eat while I sat there. How can you treat a customer like this?

Good value for money, friendly service, and everything arrived hot. Cozy atmosphere! We came on a Thursday evening and it was pleasantly busy, which is usually a good sign. Although that might also be due to late-night shopping. Plenty of choice, everything was fresh and flavorful. The chicken and lamb are halal. The restaurant is located in the city center, so it's ideal after a day of shopping. Tip: I would recommend coming by public transport; it's the easiest way. Definitely a place I would return to!

Far too little choice in lemurs

Terrible experience! I absolutely do not recommend going to this place. The food was nothing special, rolls with too many sauces and terrible combinations. The staff was EXTREMELY rude. We left 7 or 8 rolls because they weren't good, and they added the extra to our bill. We only asked for a bottle of water after the kitchen closed to finish our dinner, and they refused. Not even a glass of water?! Pure madness, the staff were indifferent and rude! The only positive note was Victoria, who apologized and at least gave us a glass of water when we left. I had a reservation on a weekday, and it was so busy I was sitting next to other people, and it was so cramped I felt uncomfortable. The ambient noise was too loud, and my table was too small for any plates. It took forever for the food to arrive, and I was still hungry. 🫣 And the worst part was that you have to pay 8 euros for every dish you can't finish. At other restaurants, it's less considered, but at this one, WOW! They're very strict!!! I have to admit, the food was delicious! That was a plus, and I also thought the staff were very nice—nice ladies who work hard!

Cozy atmosphere, a bit dark, but fine. Lovely candles on the table. Reserving in advance is a must; it's always packed. The staff is very friendly and comes by regularly. The sushi and other dishes are fresh, warm (hot!), and, in our opinion, freshly prepared. The restaurant is located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, around the corner from Dam Square. Literally across from the tram stop (lines 2, 12, and 17). Easily accessible. The prices are also not outrageous by Amsterdam standards. I'll definitely be back.

Delicious food and good service

Hands down, one of the best sushi experiences I've had anywhere. It's a genuine 'must visit' and that rare kind of place you'll be excited to know about and confidently suggest to anyone.

We had a delicious meal and the staff were very helpful and responsive throughout the evening. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. You can order unlimited dishes for two hours, so there's no limit on the number of rounds. The sushi tasted very fresh, as did the hot dishes. All in all, highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, good service, and the food was as expected. Unfortunately, upon entering, I smelled a faint sewer odor. Luckily, it wasn't so bad that it spoiled my meal. If you were there with a group, you wouldn't go looking for something else.

I recently had dinner at Miu with my husband. We’ve done AYCE sushi several times before, but this was by far the best experience so far! Everything we ordered was delicious, the sushi freshly prepared and grilled and fried dishes so flavorful. Also service was excellent and very welcoming. Will definitely return!!

I just arrived at MIU because I had a wonderful meal there before. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM, and we arrived at 5:55 PM. We entered and were seated in a spot that smelled of sewage. We asked if we could sit somewhere else because there was still room in the restaurant itself. He thought about it for a long time and then said yes, but that we'd have to wait much longer. We told him we needed to think about it. After a minute, he came over and said we REALLY had to make a choice now, or our spot would be taken away. We officially had four minutes left for our reservation, and this man wanted to give our spot away because it was busy. I found this completely unprofessional from the employee. For this experience alone, I would never come here again, as they were completely unsympathetic. This is such a shame. I don't pay to sit in a sewage smell. I won't be coming back.

We had a fantastic meal there. I was also surprised that the sashimi was included in the all-you-can-eat deal! I loved it with the salad. And the Thai waiter was so sweet :) The atmosphere was great. It has a warm and dark atmosphere, super nice. Great for a date or dinner with friends. I absolutely loved it. And if you drink a lot, there's also an all-you-can-eat concept where you can also drink unlimited. Everything is halal except the dim sum.

Wrong working hours, false advertisement on all you can eat

Today I went out for dinner with a friend. We made a reservation in advance. We were a bit late. But because it was busy, we couldn't eat for two hours. That wasn't a problem. However, the female server kept walking in front of us, letting us know we only had a limited amount of time to sit and eat. It was not so pleasant anymore. But in the last 20 minutes, we were told we only had 20 minutes left and then the table had to be free. When it was time, we received the bill (we didn't ask for it). We were allowed to finish our drinks. Just as we were finishing our last sip, she was already back in front of us. Well, I wouldn't go back to this all-you-can-eat place. Especially not if you're chased away!! Not worth going back.

Very fast service, after ordering, your food or drinks are on the table within 2 minutes. Empty plates, etc., are cleared away very quickly, so you're never left with a mess. No unnecessary interactions, a very calm, safe, and romantic atmosphere. Friendly staff, very neat and professional, and clean. Nothing to complain about, plenty of food options too.

First of all, I want to say that I'm a regular customer at Miu and have been coming here for years. I'm usually always satisfied with the service and the food, but today's experience wasn't as I'd hoped, so to speak, it was unacceptable, and what happened felt unfair. I can understand that there's a staff shortage, which slows down the service somewhat, but to wait so long and have so many dishes missing ruins the entire experience. This was unacceptable. I'm not writing this to disparage the restaurant, but to bring it to their attention that service and the pace of the restaurant are very important. They could perhaps hire a third party or allow fewer guests, as this way, the experience is much less enjoyable than usual. Good luck, and I hope this helps resolve your issue.

I have been coming to MIU for over 10 years now and have eaten sushi elsewhere on occasion. The difference in quality, taste and freshness is nowhere as good as at MIU. I can be very brief, MIU is the best in Amsterdam.

Crazy restaurant and the concept is just perfect! Unlimited food for two hours from everything on the menu..Order every 6 minutes. Although the portions are small, everything is delicious and you can order whatever you want from a very large menu that includes sushi, sashimi, various meats, drinks and desserts..We enjoyed it very much and it was very delicious. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the restaurant is beautifully decorated

As we were led to our table, I watched the tables fill with laughing friends, couples chatting quietly, and families enjoying each other's company. The concept is simple yet enticing: all-you-can-eat sushi and Asian dishes. As soon as we sat down, we were presented with the digital menu. That's where the real adventure began. Round after round, we placed our orders: colorful sushi rolls, freshly sliced ​​sashimi, crispy tempura, and steaming hot dishes. There was a certain tranquility to the rhythm: waiting, chatting, laughing, and then being surprised by a new dish being placed before us. Some dishes really stood out – the salmon nigiri, which practically melted in your mouth, and the grilled scallops, which had a soft, salty flavor. Not everything was equally exciting; a few dishes remained somewhat bland. But that didn't detract from the experience, as the variety kept things interesting. The service was friendly and relaxed. No overly formal service, but just the right amount of attention to make you feel cared for. 1. We were literally sitting next to other people. We could overhear conversations. I could clearly see my neighbor couldn't and didn't want to talk freely, despite the questions her dining partner was throwing at her. Never experienced anything like it, it was so cramped. 2. The sushi was super small, just like the appetizers, nothing special at all, and we couldn't eat them in a boat or on a platter, no, they were all separate! 3. The rest of the dishes were all bite-sized snacks, and those beef rolls, oh, they made me laugh. They were just as small and thin as my little finger. 4. The pistachio dessert, also an amuse-bouche, was tiny, in a bowl, and had an artificial taste, ice cold, just like the brownie. Very disappointing!! 5. The beef dishes were lukewarm. 6. The service was okay. I didn't like the dishes served at all. There was a bit of celery, mint, or spring onion on every dish, even on the desserts. I don't really understand why. I found the white bowls rather boring. Was this worth my almost €43 per person, excluding drinks? NO! Overhyped? 100% YES!

The food was a bit disappointing :(( Every sushi roll had cream cheese or something in it, which I didn't really like, so that was a bit disappointing. The salmon salad, on the other hand, was very tasty! It was fun to try, but I wouldn't go there again.

Tried this AYCE with a friend of mine. The woman that served us was so niceee. Food was not served in order of the rounds and it often took some time for the food to arrive. However the food was pretty good, especially the salmon🤤 The creme brulee was decent too. I do think the meat, especially the beef, was not that tender.

When you think of 'all you can eat', you normally think quantity over quality. However, I've never been proven more wrong. MIU manages to gives you the all you can eat concept, but with high quality dishes and absolute top tier service! From the moment we entered, we really felt the warm and cozy atmosphere this place brings. Candlelit tables and beautiful decoration, it really added to the experience. Food came out quick and staff brought it to our table with a friendly smile. The sushi was very tasty and you could really tell that it was freshly made. MIU also comes with an 'all you can drink' option, where you can order unlimited amounts of soft drinks, tap beer and housewines for only 14 euros extra. Definitely worth if you drink a lot! My experience with MIU was a 10/10 and will definitely come back here. Lots of love to the staff!

Visited with some work colleagues for a team dinner. We all opted for the 2 hour all you can eat buffet. Had various dishes from sushi, to fish, to various beef dishes. I must say there was not a single dish I didn't enjoy. They have some dessert options as well including a decent creme brulee. What really stood out for me were the beef dishes as the beef was super tender and delicious. Service was excellent as well.

I wish I didn’t eat the food. Sparkling water ended up being the most expensive thing we ordered, which was fitting because it was also the only really satisfying part of the meal. Very underwhelming flavours, portions and just didn’t seems like the greatest quality. Ordered the Peking Duck soup which was deep fried duck, spicy tuna roll reminded me of grocery store sushi. The spare ribs were ok. You’re not allowed to split the bill also.

Had a couple bites of the beef noodle soup bowl, ordered Peking duck soup, some sushi rolls a few appetizers, portions are small, everything tastes very cheap, preferred to stay hungry.

The fish tasted super fresh, a real plus. In addition, I have very specific dietary requirements due to allergies, and this was taken into account very well. They even called in advance to discuss any risk of cross-contamination. Definitely recommended and worth repeating! 😊

This is the first place i ate when i moved to Amsterdam 3 years ago so it holds a special place in my heart just for this, but guys, the food is amazing!!! Simple and not heavy at all! what i love mostly is how they season their sushi rice to be honest, and the fish melts in your mouth. I’ve tried in this years so many all you can eat but they all seemed cheap and too greasy. I’ve been last week again in Miu and the quality is was higher compared to any all you can eat in Amsterdam. 10/10! Menu is big enough, fresh fish and price is fair.
