Always good food. Simple, nutritious menu with tasty products. We are regular customers!

Today, March 29, we had lunch with 10 people (children and grandchildren) at Onder de Plantanen. Upon arrival, a table was neatly reserved for us, both inside and outside. Immediately indicated that we wanted to go inside, so that the table outside could be used again. First we had a look around the grounds and the farm, then to the restaurant. Great menu, great staff and good prices. Everything went according to plan and the dishes were absolutely good. Everyone had a great time and had a delicious meal. We will definitely come back again. Last Saturday I had coffee and cake here with the children and grandchildren in honor of my birthday. Everything was neatly arranged and the service was good. After coffee with home-baked apple pie or something else, the grandchildren were able to play on the grounds. Because it was now approaching lunch time, we had lunch here with those who stayed behind. Tip: a group of 40 people is now ordering. If you order quickly you will be ahead of them. It doesn't matter to us, but it will have to wait a while. This was a good tip. Had a delicious lunch and then cycled through the recreation area. It was a fun day for me as a birthday boy, but also for the grandchildren, between the ages of 10 and 3, who had a great time. Under the plane trees is highly recommended. This review is from May of this year and had not been sent at that time.

Disappointing meal at Onder de Platanen Unfortunately, my visit to Onder de Platanen was disappointing. The salmon salad was on the meager side and the lettuce was not prepared, which made it a bit flat. In addition, the country bread was served without butter, which made it less tasty. Small details like these can make all the difference, but here they seemed to be missed. The location itself is nice, especially for families with children, but based on this experience I would not come back anytime soon. Too bad, because with a little more attention to the dishes it could be a nice place to eat.

Today I celebrated my mother-in-law's 95th birthday at "Onder de Platanen". Large group, lots of children, also people with gluten intolerance, vegan. Everything is possible, service excellent, food delicious. In addition, there is always good consultation and adjustments are possible on site. Lots to do for the children. Excellent! Enjoyed! Definitely more than worth coming back here with a party (or otherwise).

December 29, 2024 Had lunch here with 19 people, it was great. Everyone was served lunch at the same time. Friendly staff and service oriented. Thank you all, it was a beautiful memory for us. Schenk family.

Extensive menu, plenty of options for Lactose/Gluten allergies. The pancake with bacon and cheese is definitely recommended, nice place!

For a lunch with the family, we ordered the panna sushi boxes for 16 people. The consultation and friendliness immediately gave us a lot of confidence. And……. fantastic!!!! 4 Delicious flavors and it all looked beautiful. Everyone was full of praise. Thank you Under the Plane Trees!!!!!!

That team leader is really great

We really enjoyed a well-organized BBQ buffet for 21 people. Everything was perfectly arranged, we felt very welcome, the atmosphere and the service were great. The meat was freshly prepared outside on a large BBQ and tasted delicious. In short, if you have a party to celebrate with a large group, Under the Plane Trees is definitely recommended!

A place to avoid at all costs. I am not sure how this place has such a high rating to be honest. Our first (and last) visit on a Sunday, the food looked dubious but we chanced it and tried a burger we shared. The fries were undercooked the meat overcooked and waiting time was about 30min. We ordered drinks: half of the order (we were two people and ordered two drinks) was wrong and not replaced. I had not finished my big bottle of sparkling water and was prevented from taking the bottle with me. The manager of the restaurant went to even chase me down the street…saying it was forbidden…I offered to pay for the costs of the actual glass recycling deposit or to be given a container to take the water with me ( the bottle was almost full) to no avail - I was only offered two small glasses that didn’t close at 1 euro each… So yeah a place to avoid

What a brilliant place for families... Plenty of menu options, ice creams and a playground with plenty of farm animals

Friendly staff, good menu, delicious food for an affordable price and great fun for adults and children to play, walk and cycle.

Had lunch at the cozy outdoor terrace. The food is tasty, and the portions are large compared to the usual small sizes usually served in Dutch restaurants. The order is placed via the website; unfortunately, it took more than 30 minutes to receive it. However, the drinks are served very quickly. By the time the food arrives, the drink is gone. It would be advised to serve food faster and coordinate the timing with the drinks better.

Pancake eaten with apple and raisins. Was quite disappointing. Firstly, the raisins were loose currants on a thin pancake and I was able to discover two thin slices of apple.

We enjoyed a barbecue party with 70+ guests of all ages. Well cared for, good enthusiastic service, nice surroundings, good outdoor and indoor location for children and adults. Delicious food from the barbecue where nothing was missing and a delicious pancake for the smaller eaters. Highly recommended for anyone who does not want to work themselves, but wants to enjoy quietly and relaxed with the guests. Thank you for this unforgettable day and evening.

Children play farm. So take into account a lot of children playing. Food always fine. On busy days it can sometimes take a while, but they always clearly indicate this. So you can choose for yourself. Delicious Skuumkoppe. 😉

A delicious Easter breakfast with family, as always well organized with delicious regional products.

Come here at least twice a week during the summer! You haven't come across a better soft ice cream! Too bad they don't have a stamp card or something like that... ;-)

Nice playground, farm and restaurant in one place.

Had lunch here for the first time yesterday and been there at all. Was a very nice farm in the middle of nature. You will immediately be welcomed friendly and quickly and guided to a table. You can scan the menu card as well as physically see it. Menu is wide enough and tasty choices. The food was very tasty and fresh. Definitely recommended and we will definitely come back here.

Of course there are a lot of small children here, so it's quite noisy. You can look into the kitchen over a wall, which I always like! The service was excellent, the homemade cake was a bit dry and might as well have come from the supermarket, because it was a very ordinary whole slice, nothing special. The cappuccino was tasty!

Very friendly and good service. Food was delicious, didn't take long. Menu card as an app was only available in dutch, but the employees were very helpful and spoke perfect english. Sitting under the trees was nice, but with sweet drinks you could see a wasp/bee every once in a while. Restaurant is kid and animal friendly.

Children can play while parents sit on the terrace.

Waited fifteen minutes before ordering for drinks was taken, more than half an hour before food was received (two sandwiches). Seventeen euros for a veggie burger with fries. Menu options via QR code do not match menu options via controls and there was no interest in solving that. Not recommended. Edit in response to restaurant response: no, I'm not going to throw anyone specifically under the bus. It is better to discuss this generally within the company. Moreover, this was not my only comment. Good luck.

Nice place to have a drink and recover from a walk. We only sat on the terrace so I don't know what it is like inside. We ate and drank croquettes with bread, cake with ice cream and a bottle of water. It was definitely delicious!! We will come back again 👍🏻

Nice petting zoo with 2 playgrounds. Too bad the shop is closed for the time being... restaurant is fine, delicious bread. Children's menu with plenty of choice.

Exactly what you want if you want to visit a pancake restaurant

Ruim terras. Vriendelijke bediening. Wij kregen een menukaart zonder prijzen erop. Toen ik aangaf dat ik dat apart vond gaf het meisje mij gelijk maar ze kon er niets aan veranderen. Het waren wat a4'tjes op een klembord dus niets ingewikkelds. Pannenkoeken waren lekker. Helaas veel wespen op het terras.

Beetje moeizaam. Was 15 minuten bezig om te proberen te bestellen via de app. Uiteindelijk kwam er toch iemand van de bediening. Had pannenkoek met suiker gevraagd kreeg pannekoek met stroop. Boter moest apart betaald worden maar met stroop hoef je geen boter. Terras oogt erg ongezellig. Lijkt meer kinderboerderij. Beetje simpel.

Gezellig even dagje op de boerderij zou je denken. Een kan met aanmaak limonade voor de kids €10,50! 3bakjes patat en een uitsmijter…€40,65!! 2 appelsap en 1biertje was bijna €10! En werd ik nog eens ondervraag door personeel of ik t glas mee genomen heb! Terwijl t kind ervoor mn glas weg gehaald heb, en dan al negerend weglopen! Super slecht! Geef er bijna €70 uit en dan nog zo behandeld worden- Mij zie je niet terug-!-

Jammer dat het personeel met een papiertje kwam dat helemaal vwrvrommeld was en / of via de app . Maar niet iedereen weet die niet te gebruiken ik ben 70 weet net hoe mijn telefoon werkt kom op maak een fatsoenlijk menulijst.

Ik heb mijn appelsap flesje teruggekregen zonder er expliciet voor te hoeven vragen.

Leuk etablissement, leuke, aardige bediening. Appeltaart met echte slagroom. Echte slagroom is voor mij al een dikke voldoende. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Prima.

Heerlijke plek om lekker te genieten met een hapje en een drankje terwijl de kids zicht vermaken in de speeltuin van zorgvrij!

Onderweg met de fiets naar Haarlem hier “even” een pannenkoek weghappen. Nouja even was meer dan even…. menu bekijken via een QR code begrijp dat je meegaat in deze tijd maar lekker onpersoonlijk. Maar goed na 15 minuten kwam er dan toch iemand de bestelling opnemen 2x drinken en 2x pannenkoeken…. het drinken was er vrij vlot maar de pannenkoeken daar moest men zeker eerst nog de bloem oogsten en zeven, de melk van de koe aftappen en wachten tot het ei uit de kip kwam en daarna de rest nog even bij elkaar zoeken mixen en nog een pannenkoekenbakker aannemen…… Letop 55 minuten na het bestellen kwamen ze en ja hoor wat hoort erop een pannenkoek stroop en suiker…. lang verhaal kort te maken ik ben het zelf maar even gaan halen….. Afrekenen ik heb niet eens gevraagd of ik mocht afrekenen ben zelf maar naar binnen gelopen. Personeel heeft meer oog voor elkaar (jong spul zonder leiding) dan voor de klanten. Niemand heeft eigen tafels en lekker bij elkaar op een kluitje staan is leuker en gezelliger. Kort samengevat fiets even verder en ga voor een broodje naar de golfclub

Lekkere pannenkoeken. Tip: als optie de maple syrup dan komen we zeker terug.

Lunch was weer heerlijk. De pannekoeken zo zacht. Gezellig met mijn pa geluncht.

Heerlijk genoten van een goed verzorgde BBQ. Goede bediening door vriendelijk personeel op een gezellig terras. Dus heerlijk gegeten daar.

Gezellig restaurant in een mooie landelijke omgeving midden in het recreatiegebied Spaarnwoude. De bediening is heel attent en persoonlijk. Als je hier wat vaker komt dan voel je je echt thuis. Het eten en drinken is prima van kwaliteit en prettig geprijsd. Wij komen hier al vele jaren en met veel plezier en als het aan ons ligt dan blijft dat voorlopig zo.

De eigenaar liep tegen een ieder die het maar wilde horen te zeuren dat hij onderbezet was (er was een kok ziek). Hij had om die reden ook tafels op gereserveerd staan zodat zijn personeel rust kreeg om de aanwezige klanten goed te bedienen. Er liep een meisje, ongetraind blijkbaar die de drankjes kwam brengen en dat was dan ook het enige wat ze deed... Glazen, borden, flesjes en kopjes, niets ruimde ze op. De jongen die de bestellingen opnam was klantgericht, bestierden het grote terras met een soepelheid en kalmte waar de eigenaar nog wat van kan leren.

Voor mij persoonlijk niet de beste pannenkoeken, want erg dik en niet helemaal gaar van binnen. De smaak was wel goed en de bediening en sfeer prima. Omdat het ook in een leuk gebied zit, toch een aanrader.

Gewoon een leuke plek om te lunchen.

Het beste softijs in fe wereld! Zacht, romig.. Ook al woonde ik in Limburg, ik zou omrijden voor dit ijsje. Hou normaal niet eens van ijs.. maar dit...

Das Menü koks trots kann man nur empfehlen, ebenso den BBQ Burger. Personal super freundlich!

Op 10 july met een groep van 34 personen de boerenbarbecue gehad, alles was prima verzorgd! Dus echt een aanrader!

Vanmiddag pannenkoeken gegeten, helaas niet helemaal gaar, kind is bij thuiskomst ziek geworden. Service duurde erg lang, was niet heel druk op het terras. Personeel had alleen oog voor een tafel waar een bekende van hun aan zat. Toen we weg wilde lopen kregen we eindelijk eens de rekening.

Wij hebben een heel fijn feest gehad (borrel en diner) bij Onder de Platanen. Met dank aan het mooie weer heerlijk op het terras! De bediening was voortreffelijk, actief en snel. Het eten was heerlijk. We kregen van diverse mensen complimenten over de hapjes. Het recept van de bloemkoolroosjes gaat rond in onze vriendenkring inmiddels 🙂. Ze kunnen zeker interessanter koken dan de traditionele bitterbal. De vegan hapjes waren heel erg leuk. Wij hadden een heel geslaagd feest en dat was bij hen in goede handen!

Vorige week hebben we ons 25 jarig huwelijk gevierd in 'Onder de Platanen'. Vanwege de regen konden we helaas geen gebruik maken van het mooie terras. Verder was het geweldig. De barbeque was wel buiten. We hadden gekozen voor het luxe bbq arrangement. Alles was heerlijk en overdadig, er werd steeds bijgevuld. De bediening was vriendelijk en deed erg hun best. Voor gasten met een gluten- en lactose allergie werden speciale dingen geregeld en gemaakt. Ook voor vegetariers was veel keus. Wij waren erg tevreden en kunnen een bezoek aan ODP aan iedereen aanraden.

Lekkerste pannenkoeken in de regio !!!👌👌👌

Het broodje gezond wat ik kreeg was wel erg "gezond". Twee droge boterhammen met ei en een klein plakje kaas en ham. Oogt erg karig allemaal. Ik snap dat het een slechte 2 jaar zijn geweest maar voor de huidige prijs verwacht ik een wat meer aangekleed broodje. Toen ik een opmerking maakte dat ik de boter miste kreeg ik te horen dat ik dat bij de bestelling had moeten opgeven ,wel of geen boter. Kwam erg onverschillig over en weinig klant vriendelijk. Ik vind dat een kul excuus. "Dan weet u dat voor de volgende keer" was de opmerking. Slechte service en prijs kwaliteit onder de maat.

Broodje gezond zonder boter. 2 boterhammen met een klein plakje kaas en ham. Toen ik hier iets van zei vertelde de ober dat ik bij het bestellen om boter had moeten vragen. Tja dat is dus de laatste keer dat ik hier kom.

Fijn om er te zijn en te genieten.

De bediening was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De twee pannenkoeken, waarvan 1 glutenvrij (pannenkoek Josje) waren heerlijk. De andere, een spekkaaspannenkoek was ook fantastisch goed. En wij kunnen het weten als ervaren pannenkoekeneters.
