Restaurant Ons Dorpje in Osdorp-Oost

Yesterday I went there with my family. The food took ages to arrive and was anything but appetizing. They piled salad onto the plate to make it look fuller. The mushroom sauce tasted more like milk than sauce. When I mentioned it, the response I got was, "This is all I have." Without the sauce, the meat was, of course, bone dry. Never again for me.

I've eaten here many times, and the food is absolutely delicious. They work very hygienically, offer good quality at a reasonable price, and have a great atmosphere. Definitely worth 5 stars. I sometimes see in the reviews that people are very positive and don't have a single negative comment, yet still give 4 stars, which is incomprehensible.

The food was truly delicious and fresh, nothing to complain about. It's just a shame they sprayed glass cleaner on the tables to clean them. That chemical smell is unpleasant to breathe in. Hopefully, they'll take better care of that.

They are super hospitable, service is really great! The food is also very tasty, good portions and lots of choices. There is a cozy, cozy Moroccan atmosphere. Really the best iftar I have eaten so far :) definitely recommended!

Ordered mixed grill with 4 people on Saturday. So 4x mixed grill meat was served without consultation with us, 4x mixed grill chicken. Even though we emphatically said that we did not want chicken. Eventually the cook (or I don't know who it was) came to the table and thought he could solve the problem by having a discussion with us. Final score: we had run out of meat and the chef decided to fill our plate with chicken without consulting us. He suggested serving 4 chops, but we did not accept this. Final score just paid in full, no compensation in the form of free drinks or anything. Genuinely the worst service I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Dear owner, it is not a disaster to earn a little less on a customer!!!! Never 'our' Village again!!! Response to the brutal response: You should be ashamed of yourself if you think you have compensated us by simply paying the correct price. So you actually wanted to do something with us? Serve the wrong food and charge the wrong price? You should really be ashamed of yourself if you want to explain your greed with the fact that we came in at 2245. Even if I come in at 3:00 am, if you are open, you are open and you have to serve your customers. And do not prepare dishes that have not been ordered. You deliberately didn't say anything because you risked us leaving. Awedi taught me something about Moroccan entrepreneurs. It's all about the money. The customer's experience and satisfaction is your last concern.

Delicious Moroccan food for a good price, full plates of food, beautifully presented and tastes delicious. When I am here in this restaurant I really feel like I am at home in Morocco, very nice atmosphere with Nasheed music in the background and TVs, also a very beautiful mural. Everything is very clean and tidy and there is a toilet and prayer room. The price of the food is very cheap and the food is of high quality and in my opinion really perfect. I come here regularly and every time I come here I am surprised and satisfied with everything, the staff is very nice and fast. This is definitely my favorite restaurant and I really recommend coming here, you really get a sense of Moroccan culture at home here. This is definitely worth a try, they have a wide menu so you will definitely find something you are happy with.

I come often and I am always very satisfied. Nice taste, good service, everything clean and nice atmosphere. I don't miss anything. 100% recommended.

We come here more often because the food is tasty and the portions are large. Unfortunately the service is a bit less, it can be quite chaotic and in terms of hygiene and appearance it could really be better. Employees with stained clothing in the kitchen, or in sweatpants who come to serve your food. It's really not a sight. But what I find most bizarre is the Palestinian flag hanging there and the Coca Cola on the table. I don't really understand the combination. Apparently they want to make a statement, but the message is not entirely clear.

First of all, way too cold. The door remains open all the time and so much cold comes in. Had a shawarma dish, and my table companions had chicken fillet dish. Everything is served together on the same plate, almost a kg of chicken fillet or shawarma, fries, pasta, salad and fruit. Too much and the flavors are also very disappointing. Not worth repeating for me.

My favorite place for Moroccan food!

We regularly come shopping from Brabant and this is our regular spot. Large portions, tasty food and very friendly people. Prayer room available and no music is played here. You can also sit separately. Tip, the bisara is delicious on a cold day.

They really have to up their game with service!

I really don't understand why people complain about the portions. The portions are PLENTY enough to keep you full. If this doesn't fill you up, you should seriously get your stomach checked 😅 or you're probably eating normally for three people.. In any case, it was delicious again! Chicken was also nice and tender

We had a delicious meal here! The soup was super tasty, but the Tajine (starters) were also super good!

Tried Moroccan breakfast and stuffed omelet, both were super good. The coffee was good as well. Love the place.

I have been coming here for 2 years and I always come back satisfied. It is a family restaurant with a warm atmosphere. There is also a prayer room which is ideal if you still need to pray. May Allah reward them richly!

Great Moroccon food specially Tajin dish.

There was a lot of food but it tasted like nothing. And expensive. Just sewing.

I've been here many times but this was the last time. The food is cold and you have to wait an hour for your order. They sprinkle herbs on your fries without asking. The nasheed music is loud and the 3 songs are constantly repeated. Like you're in a coffin. Instead of setting up nasheed with different songs. The toilets cannot be locked properly and remain stuck. The toilets are always dirty. The staff takes a break and then flirts with the girls in the restaurant. You get stared at all the time. They are at the cash register, on their phones and then eating at the same time. The young boys (around 14/15) who work there have dirty nails, look unkempt and are not at all representative. They should wear an apron and people should be polite. It's a strange, crazy atmosphere there and you have to wait a very long time for your food. The tables are always dirty when you come, the staff is grumpy and unkempt (sweating). Too bad they don't invest in normal employees and do something about the nasheed.

We took a menu for 2. They didn't have half of them and were replaced on their own initiative. The food was inedible. Salad was not fresh. I absolutely do NOT recommend this restaurant!

Regular customer now. Dear employees, delicious breakfast/lunch. They value their customers. They are one of the few that do not play music (only nasheed or Quran). For the rest you also have a prayer room. Very nice!

The couscous with vegetables was good, but instead of a salad with the grilled dish we got some random mix: some fresh vegetables, some canned, some pasta, rice with tuna (we didn't order fish!) Not enough fresh vegetables for me :( The place is on a quite busy street street, so not very atmospheric - we sat outside because it was too warm inside. The advantages: there are dishes for vegetarians, the portions are too large and the prices are not excessive. Edit: the owner obviously does not accept criticism, 3/5 is not a bad opinion, just an average one, because that was our impression.

Last weekend we had dinner with a family member after a shopping spree🥘 We decided to have a chicken sandwich and something to drink. The portions are large. Even though we have a big stomach, this was just too much. At least you get your money's worth. The sandwich itself was really nicely seasoned. We only had 1 sandwich together and took the rest home🤣 friendly people, not much to complain about except that we had to ask for the sauce and knife (with fork). Worth repeating!

Waited a long time for my food and then you get the food, there is something in it that is not intended, you give the plate back, then it takes so long and you get the measly plate back as shown, I said I will take it with me, they were not customers at all focused I'll never get there.

What happened here? Sorry, but what a disgrace! Since I read that apparently the quality has dropped enormously over the past few days, an extensive review that the owner can use. I will delete this review afterwards as it is a snapshot. A place with a greasy floor where you can skate and slip. Staff drag oil from the kitchen through the dining room. Really dangerous walking. Of the approximately 12 tables inside, which are very close together, 6 had not been cleared and had not been cleared during our 1.5 hour presence. Ate between dirty tables around us and a dirty floor. The tableware has been cleared from the tables outside, but food scraps have been left behind. Pigeons fly outside but also inside the business through the food remains on many tables and the ground. Staff walk aimlessly past tables 100 times to greet friends outside but ignore the clearing. It is not busy, a sturdy dominant customer around 28 comes in, directs the children to be the first to want a tea (other customers should just learn to wait, he tells them) Takes a seat behind a dirty table and starts zapping and watching football loudly . Koffiehuis Onsdorpje is a fact. Staff is too young, inexperienced and has no management insight or initiative whatsoever. The sturdy boy behind the cash register pays alone and communicates in a rude, adolescent manner to two older Moroccan ladies. They have absolutely no interest in the customer or sense of standards. They argue among themselves about who will clear the tables and everyone swears not to do it. This way nothing happens and it pollutes enormously. Several guests left the restaurant because they were not helped, something was always forgotten and staff hid in a huddle at the back of the restaurant and did not seem to be present. Besides the fact that some people turned around at the sight of the tables, floor, staff. Cooks and staff wear very dirty stained sweatpants with crocks. Communication or social skills 0.0. I had to place my order with the chef myself because otherwise nothing would happen. For everything you had to call someone from behind yourself. Food of poor quality for these prices Chicken tagine; serving time 45 minutes Slippery slimy tasteless kibble leg with a lemon slice and olives. The gravy watery tasteless. The almonds and egg or vegetables mentioned on the menu were simply not there. Bread basket; it uses bread with chunks sticking out and gravy and finger stains from others. Picked it up new in the kitchen myself. BBQ chicken mix grill: A variation of 3x the same spicy chicken. 1x on a skewer, 1x in cubes on the plate and 1x as a fillet piece FROM THE BAKING PLATE. What's BBQ about this? Not even BBQ sauce on top. Then a very dry black crispy merguez which was not chicken but clearly beef. Tip; kaddour is a door away. The "chicken satay" according to the menu was not on the plate. I pointed this out and then I got a watery drizzle of light brown sauce that was shamelessly powdery/grainy and poorly stirred with hot water. That satay sauce was unbelievably dirty. The choice of rice, potato slice or fries is available on the menu, but not in practice. There is only 1 choice; chips. The ketchup bottles were left in the bright sun all day. It exploded on the clothes or hands of several customers who opened it. The ketchup and mayo is left in the bright sun all day at 25 degrees; that spoils within an hour! Ketchup sours and forms gases in the bottle, which explodes when you open the bottle. Bring in! To top it all off; the salad on the plate had a soapy taste. According to one of the boys, this may be true because the salad was prepared by someone wearing gloves with which he does the dishes but also prepares plates. Wonderful honesty, but shocking. Given the crappy quality, setting, hygiene and service, we largely left our food alone. Tip; Go take a look at Du Maroc restaurant in Amsterdam and do something about the prices.

Have been coming to our village for years! Food is always good.👌🏽 But the service provided by the young people is ruining the whole atmosphere there in our village, lack of experience. They are not attentive enough and do not look around at the guests properly.🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Regular customer. Had a chicken burger today which was delicious. Normally I take the meat tagine or harrira. Couple of feedback points: the floor is slippery, I have to ask for napkins every time I eat.

I had lost my bank card and the owner of the cafe had found it. He had withdrawn 0.01 cents in the hope that I would see it and pick it up at the cafe. This was also successful! I am extremely grateful to him! This shows the character of the people who work there and that they really care about their customers in the service they provide. LOVE!! <3

The food itself was tasty, but unfortunately not everything that was ordered was delivered. When we got home we noticed that 2 meals were missing. This is very unfortunate and messy!!

Tip of the day: hire serious staff, and no small children. This is the 2nd time something has gone wrong here. 15/16 year old who comes to take your order after you have been sitting for 20 minutes and still forgets to pass it on (BTW it was quiet in the shop so it was not busy.) This is such a shame because the food is tasty. At least the last time for me unfortunately.

Delicious food for little money. You really get a lot. They are very generous. You have to wait a while before you get your food, but I noticed that they make everything fresh, which you don't see at all restaurants. I definitely recommend this restaurant and it is worth repeating

Never experienced a restaurant like this before. I went here with my wife for iftar, after breaking the fast with a date we had to wait 1 hour for our food. No cutlery on the table, no napkins, nothing at all, we had to ask for everything ourselves as if it was all you can eat. The TV was on so loud, they asked if it could be turned down and they just ignored you and didn't take you seriously. Really the worst place ever, I wanted to give it a second chance after I had already been there once and they gave me dirty plates. But he will never be like this again. And then the owner walked by and said that it was busy and that everyone wanted to eat, yes, you better arrange it! And then they walk around saying please be patient with us

The traditional food has no taste sorry, it's like cooking that's it!!! My review is not fake because I eat there with my family (couscous, rghayef) but you are not professional enough to take a review!!!

I'll keep it short and sweet. What a nightmare this tent is in every respect. Save yourself a bad experience and stay away. Fake? The rest of the reviews certainly do too. The swearing and threatening is more than normal with you there. Allah(swt) is witness.

Worst service I've ever experienced. I had to wait so long for my food and I was even forgotten! A gentleman who was a bit older and at the back of the kitchen (a bit more bald) prepared the food for me. After I went home and wanted to start eating, I discovered that the container is simply not new but has been used before. Just disgusting, unsanitary and very unprofessional. I was here in Ramadan and wow what a nasty experience this was. When I called I was already being scolded and I had to act quickly. During dinner I kept getting food on my table from a beach seller picked from El Hoceima. He also acted like it was free so don't fall for this people. I also waited so long that I skipped iftar and ate it on Eid el fitr. And what was the worst part about the msemen is that we couldn't even use a pin.

Authentic Moroccan food, with a prayer room in the back. Tables a bit sticky, could use a cloth over this more often. Enjoyed a Moroccan breakfast for brunch, everything was good.

Echt lekker gegeten en een goede service

Het is ons opgevallen dat zowel de gerechten en zo ook het personeel het afgelopen half jaar achteruit zijn gegaan. Personeel/kok vergeet regelmatig de juiste menu’s te bereiden. En word er telkens iets vergeten.En de borden worden ook minder gevuld . Dat waren ze voorheen veel meer De prijzen zijn ook aardig verhoogd.. De prijs voor bijvoorbeeld een beldi ontbijt bijna 17 euro.. We bleven terugkomen met de hoop dat het eenmalig zou zijn. Helaas niet het geval . Want ooit was het echt goed . Er word ook niets aan gedaan als je een aan of opmerking hebt. Er wordt alleen gezegd ik geef het door.

Heerlijk eten, goede service en anaseed in plaats van muziek. En plek om te bidden, heb alleen maar positieve dingen te zeggen.

Klanten service zeer achteruitgegaan vergeleken met het jaar voorheen. Eten is ook ver achteruit gegaan op die manier hoe zet bereiden. Ik ga hier voortaan niet meer eten... jammer

Heerlijk eten en goed personeel. Dit eethuis is een begrip in Osdorp. Reserveren is niet mogelijk, dus gewoon op je beurt wachten wat best te doen is. Mijn tip is iets eerder of later avondeten.

Ik had vandaag een lunch date met mijn dochter bij Ons Dorp. Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten. Service was goed, vriendelijke bediening met een glimlach. Wij komen zeker terug.

Eten was smerig, aardig personeel vandaar de extra ster. BBQ kip had niks met BBQ te maken. Het was slappe frituur en de champignonsaus was lauw en waterig. De hete kip was niet lekker

Eten is prima. Wat ik echter belachelijk vind is dat je daar nooit kan pinnen. Er is altijd wel iets met hun pinautomaat waardoor je dus naar de pinautomaat moet lopen om geld te pinnen. Kom op man.. biedt jouw klanten gewoon de mogelijkheid om te pinnen ipv met zo'n rotsmoes te komen over een pinautomaat die niet werkt of meegenomen is door een koerier. Voor mij de laatste keer dat ik hier ga eten!

Vaste klant weinig tentjes in Amsterdam als deze! Heb zelf 15 jaar ervaring in de horeca ( assistent manager brasserie Schiphol) kwaliteit is gewoon goed en prijs is eerlijk hier valt niet over te discussiëren . Mijn moeder komt van ver en is van ouds dat ze niet buiten eet ( om dat je vaak troep krijgt) maar als ze hier is eet ze bij onsdorpje ❤️

Drinks not coming, had to remind the waiter to bring our drinks. Also we wanted to order, but instead of looking out for the clients, the waiter was on his phone. Also constantly having to call the waiter, because the table didn't have sauces on them, or because we didn't get napkins. Atmosphere is still good, tables are clean. One thing is that they raised their prices immensely. Their prices are similar to high end restaurants, while this is more of a casual cafeteria.
