I had my high tea here for Mother's Day, but unfortunately, it wasn't what I had hoped for. You were served very spicy, inedible tomato soup with a shrimp, and a platter of (tasty) rolls that took a very long time to arrive. After that, 5 sickly sweet round pastries; unfortunately, no savory snacks, box of chocolates/scones, or muffins. You could drink as much tea as you wanted, but the tea water also took a particularly long time to arrive. Unfortunately, the staff was particularly unfriendly and uninterested. It's a shame for an otherwise nice place, also for small children.

It's a real shame that they start vacuuming and cleaning up everything around you as early as 9:15 PM. You just don't feel welcome anymore. And on a Saturday night, that.

Very well-presented food. The menu featured dishes like the famous satay, hamburger, and salmon, but everything was just a little more tender, fresher, better presented, more luxurious, and more surprising. We had, among other things, the goat cheese meal salad garnished with walnuts, date balls, and apple, which was a feast for the eyes (and the mouth). The other dishes were also delicious. We were served politely and spoken to kindly. My mother wanted—old-fashioned—ice cream with advocaat and whipped cream, which of course wasn't on the menu, but it was promptly taken care of. This, too, was beautifully made and came with an extra topping. Everything was presented with just that little extra care and taste for a very reasonable price. We were very satisfied.

I wonder who was king at Stroming today. We were enjoying a lovely family meal. The food was delicious, but the service still has a lot to learn about hospitality and a pleasant atmosphere. After a minor accident, we were handed a cloth and asked if we would mind cleaning it up. Of course, we didn't manage to get everything clean; my husband had to sit somewhere else, and that was not appreciated. We were met with a disapproving look and a rude response. The customer was certainly not king today. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

To us, De Stroming always feels like a kind of living room with friends and acquaintances. The friendly staff are always up for a joke and nothing is too much trouble for them. You ask and they deliver. Simply amazing. Just enjoyed another delicious lunch with fresh tomato soup, a delicious croquette, a tuna salad/egg salad sandwich, and fresh lettuce with a delicious dressing (recipe?). The coffee with the famous shot of whipped cream and the fresh cookie (the Jan Hagel is my favorite) is the best in the Netherlands and the surrounding area. We visit our friends at De Stroming almost every day, and even more often after my retirement.

Very poor service, especially the chef. He walked away in the middle of a conversation, used foul language, and it was impossible to have a normal conversation.

It's just that the coffee is so good, and that's where it ends. The service is grumpy, unfriendly, snappy, and they can't smile. They simply don't say "good morning." There's only one who always says "good morning," helps customers when needed, and is very child-friendly. And there's one who, for over three years, has been so grumpy that I wonder if she can even smile. Furthermore, you're freezing all winter long, because there's no heating, and the three mini heaters that are supposed to warm the entire restaurant can't be turned on, otherwise the fuses will blow. Furthermore, they're always and eternally late, leaving customers waiting outside the door, and by the time you get your cup of coffee, fifteen minutes have passed. Yesterday, I left in misery for the first time; I was so cold!! No, I wouldn't send anyone here. And it's time the staff learned how to be customer-friendly.

Mark was a really caring person, he kept checking if we needed anything. He went on to give us the best suggestions depending on our diet. The atmosphere was nice too 🥰

The waitress addressed us as "je/jij" (you). Tournedo was inedible. Sent it back and received no compensation. The chef took me to the kitchen to ask what was wrong. He said the pieces of meat were beautiful. But garlic oil is applied to every piece before it leaves the kitchen. The meat didn't come out of its shell. Lack of self-confidence on the chef's part. You have to stand behind your product.

November 2025 Friendly staff. The food is good and the menu is surprisingly extensive, so everyone can find something to enjoy. It's perfect for families: the play corner is a real hit. The kids have a great time, while you can relax and enjoy your meal. That's worth its weight in gold. A small tip for the finishing touch: it would be nice if the staff would stop by your table a little more often to ask if everything is to your liking or if you'd like to order anything. But otherwise, it's absolutely fantastic.

This is my third time having lunch at this restaurant, and the food was excellent. This time I sat by the window, and the atmosphere was great. The service was excellent and friendly.

A delicious dinner. We chose the schnitzel with a sauce. The starter was delicious, with beautifully presented raw ham and cheese. The onion soup was also beautifully presented and delicious. Dessert was simply delicious, and this is definitely recommended. I hope the team continues to serve it for a long time.

The food itself is still fine. But this restaurant qualifies as the least welcoming restaurant in North Holland. The atmosphere at any retirement home restaurant is better. The service is appalling. Disinterested and grumpy. Especially a blonde woman with a ponytail. She can't be caught smiling sincerely. The worst part is watching the new staff effortlessly adapt to the level of the rest. While they might be friendly for the first few weeks, they'll soon catch the unsociability bug. It's a good thing they have a fun play area for the kids. Otherwise, you wouldn't see anyone there.

We had a delicious meal at Restaurant de Stroom, with friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. The price-quality ratio is truly excellent.

Very diverse and delicious food, prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, opening hours are quite limited.

A very cozy and snug restaurant, which looks smaller from the outside until you enter! With a nice play corner for the smaller children, We also ate here and unfortunately my wife has a certain allergy, which the kitchen unfortunately could not take into account or come up with a suitable solution. Which was a shame, because we wanted to do the 4-course menu but because of this she could not eat 2 courses. Which I do think is a bad thing, it was a one-time visit for us!

Had dinner with six people on Friday evening. After a long time, back at STROMING. And it must be said. The food was delicious All dishes were served neatly and above all hot. Taste was nice. We all had a different dish and everything was enjoyed by our guests. Service was fine and so was the pace of serving. In short, a successful evening in Stroming.

Really a top restaurant, lovely seating, beautiful terrace, good food and great service

Drank delicious coffee every week for 3 years, because that's what they have. Only the service has become a drama, they see you but walk right past you without saying anything. After having to wait longer than fifteen minutes for the umpteenth time before any attention was paid to us, and we see that happen to other people too, we left, it's done. Too bad about the nice coffee.

Very nice and atmospheric restaurant. Nice layout with lots of round seating and cozy tables. Good, interested service and the food tasted delicious. It is also very nice that the food does not come in super quick succession, so you can enjoy a really relaxed meal. They also ask if you want to wait, and you can indicate when you want the main course. Highly recommended compared to the restaurant on the corner where the youthful, uninterested (clumsy) service leaves much to be desired and ruins the feeling.

Good afternoon! Today I got a 50 euro gift voucher to give to a friend for his birthday. What an unpleasant experience. The person who prepared it was unfriendly and grumpy. I think it is a fair amount for a gift voucher and it seems to me that customer friendliness can at least be shown. I regretted getting the voucher from Stroming.

What a fantastic wonderful place to be. Started with a delicious latte with apple pie. Really delicious! Then we stayed and had lunch there. Delicious farmer's brown bread with croquette. Good service. They regularly asked if we wanted anything and if it was to our liking. Not too, just good. We sat in the nice round seats. This is highly recommended!

We had a nice seat, the service was nice and the food was reasonable. From now on it would be nice if they mentioned the price in the specials, but at checkout our main course turned out to be €40, which is a big difference with the prices of the dishes on the menu.

Cozy seating areas inside and a nice terrace. The portions are decent and the food is good. Pay attention to the opening hours, they close at the end of the afternoon on some days.

Had lunch several times and always great! Went for high tea on Sunday with a group of girls, many of whom had unfortunately canceled. Compliments to the chefs and service for their input and apologies again on our behalf! We were really disappointed... the food was great again!!

What a wonderful experience! We had a delicious meal here with the whole family. The dishes were fresh and prepared with great care. What was extra special was that the chef himself brought the food, with a big smile! That really added a personal touch. The girls behind the bar were fantastic: friendly, attentive and always up for a nice chat. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, just as you would hope. We felt really welcome and will definitely come back. Highly recommended

What a deception! Reservation not registered properly, so no place, then a worthless place, eventually a place due to no-show; too few menus, so we waited too long, the starter sandwich was tasty, again we waited too long for the main course, so all the fries turned out to be cold and worthless; salad salty, we asked for an extra glass of water with our wine; no, that was only possible if we ordered a new glass of wine. We won't be coming here again, not recommended!

The 2-part and 3-part lunch is highly recommended. Waitresses are friendly and helpful.

Had a high tea this afternoon with 5 people + baby. We indicated in advance that we would come with 1 vegetarian, this was confirmed again upon arrival. After more than 30 minutes we got a soup and after 1.5 hours (!!) after asking several times we finally got the savory snacks. We were told the kitchen was very busy, but we had made a reservation, right?! Then only one of the savory snacks turned out to be vegetarian. After insisting again, I think the manager arrived with another sandwich. We also had to ask for new hot water twice, what a travesty! And this while the high tea passed through a table behind us. The high tea has really deteriorated since the new owner and we don't have a good word to say about the waiting staff. Far too young or inexperienced to speak of politeness. The snacks were okay, but certainly not worth the almost 30 euros. Almost all of the sweet snacks came straight from the freezer. We certainly wouldn't recommend it. No apologies heard either. Next time I'll go to Wonders again.

I think the food had been in the kitchen too long. The fries were already cold. And the chicken satay was lukewarm.

The coffee is tasty. It seems like the staff doesn't like the job. You can't help but smile, taking orders takes a very long time, when the weather is nice they clean the outside tables first instead of serving customers and they are grumpy!

Actually, this matter deserves more attention. The location is a bit tucked away in a corner. I would hang colorful lights to draw attention. The food was all very good and not huge portions. Staff is also very friendly and attentive. Despite Saturday evening it was not very busy and we could only think of the location as to why that was. Actually worth discovering!

Went out for dinner with a friend in the evening. Wonderfully seated, a super cozy tent. Food was really delicious! I had the ravioli and the girlfriend had the boneless chicken, both really great! A small mistake was made when placing the order, which meant we had to wait a little longer for our food, but that was compensated by a drink on the house. Absolutely great! If you want to get drunk quickly, come here. Waited 40 minutes for our starter: bread. After 1.5 hours we finally got our food: cold spareribs that are even tastier packaged at Albert Heijn, chicken satay STICK for which you pay 18.95 (yes, 1 pathetic skewer). As a bonus, a whole evening of entertainment from a drunk couple that the waiter had more time for (apparently friends of the staff?) and who were undressing each other on the table. On the other hand, I did like the lemon slice in my ice tea.

Had a great lunch here. The lunch menu is not very spectacular, so we opted for a club carpaccio and club classic. We ordered additional fries, but did not receive them. Not a big problem, because the clubs were sufficient, it was ordered more for the tasty appetite. By the way, in the end he was not on the receipt, so the service simply did not pay that much attention.

Een cocos ananas smoothie een appeltaart… Heerlijk de smoothie viel ons tegen in vergelijking met vorige keer nadat we twee slokken genomen hadden. Gemeld bij de serveerster zij nam ons serieus en we kregen een nieuwe…. Fantastisch dit was wat wij ons herinnerden. Super tent om heen te gaan… wij blijven komen.
