I was on holiday on Texel for a week and came to eat at your place on Friday evening with my husband and 2 kids. Excellent and super delicious food, and we will definitely come back someday if we go to Texel again. I thought it was great, and our kids got to make their own ice cream, or rather, scoop it – fantastic 🥰

Very slow service. And smoking is not allowed on the terrace. Can safely be skipped.

Stopped by yesterday for drinks and a bite to eat. The greeting was friendly, but everything looked very dirty. The tables were still covered in remnants from the previous guests, the chairs were very dirty, and that really detracted from the experience. We saw another family ask if the table they were sitting at could be cleaned; they hadn't been shown to their table yet and still had to order. In itself a fine spot in terms of location, but not worth a repeat visit given how poorly the staff treats the restaurant and their guests.

Free mussel day. What service. Delicious large pot of mussels with fries and salad. Super friendly staff who didn't pressure us but came over for a nice chat. We enjoyed it.

Our host at Nieuwe Leven recommend this place to us. I like it how the businesses are friendly to each other and know each other well. The staff is very nice. They speak good English. Some speak German too, I think. But if you want to practice your Dutch, they will speak slowly and help you practice too. Very hospitable, friendly and chatty. The bread itself is not too impressive, but the way they serve olive oil, butter and salt looks very nice and taste good too. I tried their drunken mussels. The smell of the herbs is very strong. I liked it. Big portion too. I have had better fries before though. Good selection of international and local cheese. A very strong option if you stay in this part of the island!

We have enjoyed a great lunch at t' Pakhuus! I was on a sailingtrip with a couple of friends and we decided to stop at Oudeschild for having lunch. As usual the food was excellent! If you like fish it will be hard to find a better restaurant in the Netherlands. We ordered the visplateau for 5 persons, superb....I wish I could come more often to Texel just to have a great meal at the Pakhuus again.

First of all, I want to say that we will definitely go again. Every bite we ate was incredibly delicious. High-quality food, finely selected wines, and of course, that wonderful atmosphere all come together to leave you with nothing but enjoying this amazing experience. We were there for a birthday celebration. My only request was that they choose a nice table and celebrate with dessert. But they went out of their way to make the day even more perfect and unforgettable. There was a wonderful card with a congratulatory message written in our native language on the back. At the end of the night, they continued to spoil my wife and me with wonderful gifts. Definitely the right choice. This isn't just a place to stop by; make special time for it, even change your route if necessary. Absolutely. 😍 I can't wait to see you again. ❤️

If you want to eat well and enjoy a delicious meal in a somewhat touristy spot, 't Pakhuus on Texel is an excellent choice. The service is relaxed yet very attentive. When I went to the restroom, I noticed there was a toilet for people with disabilities. But how on earth could you get inside in a wheelchair? After all, I had climbed a small flight of stairs. Not that I needed it, but I went to ask about it. I was escorted to the stairs, and the ramps specifically provided for it were politely shown to me. My granddaughter, who is a sous-chef at a fine-dining restaurant herself, once recommended this restaurant to us. We couldn't resist mentioning that as well. A thank-you card was very politely written for her, and we received a small oyster knife to give to her along with the card. Classy, ​​right?! Thank you, dear people at 't Pakhuus. Everything is just right with you.

As a gift, my wife and I took my sister and brother-in-law out for a 7-course wine and food menu. Normally I would say that I "unfortunately" have to eat gluten-free, but for me, it was truly a fantastic experience! From the aperitif and amuse-bouche right through to the friandises, it was delicious! Not once did I feel that any ingredients were omitted or "inferior," which is often the case when you have to eat gluten-free. I would like to thank you again for that! For the 3rd year in a row (2026), I can confirm that this is an amazing spot in the harbor of Oudeschild-Texel. Innovative, playful, and top-notch flavors with products from the immediate area such as lamb, asparagus, and shellfish! Super enthusiastic team! Personal touches and expertise. My “all-time” favorite spot on Texel!!

The sunshine certainly contributed to the pleasant atmosphere on the terrace, but this restaurant is truly wonderful: the seafood platter and the lobster gratin were delightful! And the young man's service was impeccable!

From the very first phone call, when we inquired about the possibilities with a 9-year-old child, we were assisted in an exceptionally friendly manner. Upon arrival, we immediately felt welcome, and that certainly applied to our daughter as well — she was completely at ease. From the amuse-bouche to the coffee with petit fours: everything was delicious and taken care of down to the last detail. However, what stays with us the most is how child-friendly this place is. Our daughter felt truly special: a fun and high-quality children's menu, and as the icing on the cake, she was even allowed into the kitchen to make her own ice cream. We had dinner at the Pakhuus, it was a very nice moment with my partner. We reserved in advance the plateau de fruit de mer and were not disappointed! They started the pleasure with amuseS, and i thought they missunderstood that we took the 5 course menu instead ! But no! The amuses were delicate and leaving you with wanting for more ! When the massive plateau areived my partner and I were shocked, we already did similar menus but this one was far from "a bite per person" it was like the abondance horn, ready to pivk whatever you wamt, lobster, shrimps, ecrevisses, oysters, ect just perfect! And what to say about the wine? Well just say wow, the wine by the glass selection was plenty for your tastes everyone will find something for their taste, myself i went for the picpoul and took 3 more after that! Only disappointement is that I didnt try the cheese plater because I think it would have been memorable! And the cherry on the cake, my partner briefly answered why we were on texel island! A gift from my partner for my birthday to go wild oyster hunting! After paying the bill the staff suprised me with a bottle of wine, a oyster knife and a handwritten note for my birthday ! Never I had such good service and attention, i have done my fair share of fine dining experiences and that was the best! Congratulations to the staff! This is setting a new standard!

An excellent restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. We dined in the conservatory in the evening. We received a friendly welcome and attentive service with excellent advice on the food and wine. The wine list is lovely, featuring some truly exquisite selections. We opted for the fish, which arrived beautifully presented in a pan. A must for food lovers.

A warm welcome, a beautiful restaurant with a focus on quality and service. My family of four enjoyed a leisurely lunch here. The children were given an explanation about the shellfish and were allowed to scoop their own ice cream. The Wadden Sea cockles are highly recommended as a starter, and the cod dish was beautifully balanced. The savory dessert of foie gras brulee and fig ice cream was a fantastic combination of flavors. The afogato martini is a new favorite of mine. A truly JRE restaurant! See you next time on Texel!

Best fish restaurant on Texel. Still the number one on the island after three years. Service is very good. The well-balanced menu was also well-timed.

We went there during a lobster party. The ad advertised unlimited lobster and tomahawk. It turned out only the lobster was unlimited 😔, and there were a few pieces of tomahawk. It's a shame to go there for both and be fobbed off with a response. Thanks for the feedback and the confusion, we've updated the ad.

We had a truly delicious meal tonight and enjoyed some lovely wine! It was a bit of an experiment for us because our 10-month-old son was with us, but the team at 't Pakhuus were incredibly helpful, and we had a wonderful time! Thanks!

We were turned away with three people because there wasn't enough seating. The restaurant was half full, and the lady said people were already enjoying dessert. The patio was completely empty. The hostess was clearly unhappy with our presence. She then had to consult with the kitchen. To our great regret, and we've been regulars here in the past, we were turned away. We find this truly incomprehensible. You've lost your regular customers.

Even though we were a bit early, we were greeted warmly by the hostess. She showed us to our reserved table. After perusing the menu, the three of us made our selections. After our starters, we were served our appetizers, along with an explanation of the origins of the various products. It was wonderful to see how proud someone is of their product. Then, with our main course, the waitstaff shared the same experience. Our son was allowed to choose his lobster together with the chef. Later, at the table, the chef also provided him with some helpful tips to help him enjoy his first lobster to the fullest. It's not cheap, but for us, it's more than worth every euro. Highly recommended.

Last week we had duck liver and a platter of fruits de mer here. Excellent quality. We especially loved the platter. You don't have to go to France for that anymore! The service is actually 5.5 stars. They also offer excellent wine recommendations. We don't live on Texel, but we love coming to 't Pakhuus just for that. We'll be back to Texel soon, though; it's become a favorite spot too. ☺

This afternoon we enjoyed some oysters and a lovely glass of French wine here. Because our boat trip was leaving in half an hour, we were only able to grab a drink in a hurry. The staff accommodated us! Everything was very well organized and customer-friendly. The oysters are high quality. Highly recommended!

Very unwelcoming, unwilling to pour a drink because they'd had a long day. I work in the hospitality industry myself, but I wouldn't even consider this. So we won't be eating here again.

The wintergarden is hot (don’t sit there), we asked the waiter at the very beginning to speed up the process, but we sat there for 1.5 hrs when the main arrived. This is when we had to leave. People who arrived after us and also ordered the mussels got it ahead of us. The food and the place is more wanna be French haut cuisine, than excellent. Still got charged for everything and we got the mussels to go. It was a joke.

After a warm welcome, a delicious 5-course surprise menu with a suitable Bob wine arrangement was chosen. The appetizer was not only beautiful but also very tasty! We drank wonderful matching wines and the natural wine, nicely served in a trendy glass, was very tasty (normally I'm not a fan of it). In short, we enjoyed the food, the wine and the very attentive hostess!

I went to ‘t Pakhuus with a group of 7, including 4 teens. The service was very good and they also accommodated our need to leave at a certain time because of the Texel Hopper. They times the meal very well even though some of us had the keuze menu and some had a la carte. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was a lovely way to end our evening on texel! Just a word of warning - the prices on the menu posted on google maps are incorrect and about half of the actual prices. Even so, it was worth it! Also, dogs are not allowed inside during dinner. We ate outside, which was doable with their warmed cushions and blankets.

More pretense than performance. Upon entering (in my old sailing jacket) I was asked if I would like to see the map first. The arrogance of the staff is not supported by the quality. Dishes look nice but taste bland. Side dishes are very limited. I ate my first lobster here thirty years ago. Went here out of nostalgia. It was the last time.

A beautiful experience, that actually says it all. On our last day of our mini holiday on Texel we decided to have lunch here before taking the boat to the mainland. And we regretted it! Because at this beautiful restaurant you really have to take the time to have a quiet lunch and/or dinner. The friendly and professional staff guided us to our (pre-reserved) table and had a friendly chat. Our baby dog ​​was also more than welcome. The card is modest but beautiful! And when we left we received a nice bottle of wine with a handwritten card because it was our wedding day. We will definitely come back next year and then we will go for the extensive lunch menu! Had a great evening. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine but were also great with children. My nephew was allowed to join us in the kitchen and received all the attention and explanation about the aquarium, which made our evening even more enjoyable. We had a 4 course tasting menu. There was a slight mishap but the gorgeously professional waitress saved the day and made us feel rewarded. The food was tasty and well paired.

We arrived at 't Pakhuus around 4:30 PM. The lady who greeted us asked what she could do for us…. We wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately! The lady managed to bark at us and make it clear that she was really going to take her well-deserved break and had to eat and needed an hour of rest. We dropped off...I don't read anywhere on the website that nothing can be drunk around this time. I read that dogs are not welcome after 5:30 PM. The lady probably confused us with this. Anyway, if this is the approach to guests, then I certainly have my reservations about the quality of the food. So certainly not a new attempt for us.

Had dinner last Saturday evening, chef's choice. really a night out. Service where you feel that they have understood and who do not talk nonsense about the wines and dishes. We had just spotted seals and had taken a wonderful boat trip and had a nice breath of fresh air. Then we looked at the village that was located on the harbour. We were a bit cold and hungry so we went to the first restaurant we came across and we were very surprised! Really nice presentation of the food but also very nice service! If we come back to Texel again, we will definitely want to eat there again.

Review - Restaurant 't Pakhuis Texel Restaurant 't Pakhuis on Texel is a place we always like to return to when we visit the island. The familiar hospitality and cozy atmosphere make it a pleasure to eat here every time. Although the mussel pot, which we were looking forward to, was unfortunately sold out, the restaurant surprised us with their flexibility. We could ask the kitchen to prepare a dish outside the menu. This resulted in a delicious fresh pasta Vongole, perfectly flavored and made with love for local ingredients. It is always a pleasure to eat here, and despite the minor disappointment of the mussels, we once again enjoyed a fantastic meal. We will definitely come back during our next visit to Texel! We did try to sit. Host told us that they are totally booked. Two hours after that we did drive near place and it was still empty. So, service is really bad

3 mini sandwiches and a cup of soup was okay Skuumkoppe nothing wrong with that. Soup was spilled on the plate and was resolved appropriately But they are losing their strength by being forced to eat indoors because there are not enough staff to keep the terrace open. . A missed opportunity with the nice weather. I don't cycle for it anymore. For me this is no longer a JRE winner

Hands down the best restaurant in Texel and dare I say, the entire country. I took my bf to ‘t Pakhuus to celebrate his birthday and we had the best dining experience. First of all, the food is just outstanding. This is the place to be if you want fresh seafood and local meat fare in the island. Second, the service is just superb. The servers are very attentive and overall friendly and professional. They even got my bf a sparkler to wish him a happy birthday during dessert. We’ll definitely come back to this gem of a restaurant.

We didn't think the food was good, the salmon was farmed fish and the fish croquette was not tasty. The salad was okay. The lobsters were good. I had the musselman, which was tasty and the fries were good. Service was friendly.

Had a delicious lunch in 't Pakhuus. Three small fish sandwiches. Service was also fine. What was complicated were the dogs. These are apparently allowed into the restaurant.
