Turfveld is an idyllic snack bar in the forest. There are the usual Dutch delicacies. The special highlight are the Rasp Patat. If you eat outside, you're almost sitting under trees and it's very quiet and cozy. There is a playground and trees for children to climb.

Everything was nicely done. Just before Pal 12. There were a lot of people present, but it wasn't crowded. I think this is due to the moderate prices, which are not otherwise available on Texel.

Always have a bite to eat there and a cup of coffee on the way back. Nice place and good food for little.

We always stopped by there when we went for a walk and always ate delicious ice cream.

Very nice for a snack. You can charge the bike battery. Children can play nicely here. Dogs welcome. Unfortunately, people here are also very poorly prepared for veganism.

Great place to grab a bite to eat while visiting the island. Good food at honest prices, you order at the counter and they call when it's ready. I especially recommend the various french fries options. The only flaw is that the menu is only in Dutch and the staff speaks very little English, but this is common in various places.

Beautiful pavilion for a cup of coffee after your walk. It has also become too busy here. Service and atmosphere suffer.

Very beautiful and idyllic excursion restaurant with self-service (order food at the counter and pick it up). Not full meals, but good selection of snacks so you can fill up on them too. Unfortunately not pressed fries, so it's better to eat something else. Definitely recommended for a hike or bike tour.

Good resting place for hikers or cyclists. Typical Dutch offer. Instead of fries there is raspatat. Prices are OK. The service was very reserved, but everything went quite quickly. The tablets gave an idea of ​​what the guests had previously eaten. Sitting outside is very nice, inside it's a bit rustic.

The staff didn't want to give us any information about allergens in the food because the queue behind us was too long. In which we also stood and waited to receive this rejection. We couldn't order anything because ordering "at random" and then taking the helicopter to the hospital on the mainland wasn't an option for us.

Been back after 2 years and nothing has changed. The fries are still unique and belong to a very special kind and a sin made from mashed potatoes. Location in the middle of the forest. Worth a trip on every Texel holiday.

Apart from the perfect place to eat and drink in a forest, the customer service is also top notch. My grandson became unwell and had to throw up in front of the toilet. He was surrounded by the staff with love and attention and was given a bucket for possible repetition in the car. The heat and cold ice apparently went wrong. Dear people, ... you are great!!

We really had a lot of fun...food is good as expected

After a nice dog walk through the nature reserve in the evening, we ate a shandy and frikandels in the beer garden. There is a large sandpit with toys for children. Highly recommended as it is in a very idyllic location in the forest.

Fantastic place in the woods, especially on a sunny day. It is a self service but that is ok. It is easily accessible by car or bicycle. Also great for a hike or bicycle ride through the forest.

The 2 older ladies behind the counter are very grumpy and really bark at you! Chicken nuggets were gone, but they only said that when serving and said yes, it's gone so you get bitterballen instead... 1 came to our table and snapped because our son grabbed a newspaper and when I wanted to neatly clear the table, she pulled while I was throwing it in the trash the tray fell out of my hands! Very uncustomer friendly! And if you read about the lesser stars, you will see everywhere how bad they are, including chatting behind your back, very insensitive to other people! BREED fries and BREED REALLY UNFRIENDLY!

Cute restaurant/snack bar in a beautiful location in the forest. The decoration is nice and the staff is friendly. I think it is quite expensive, namely more than €8 for two cups of chocolate milk with whipped cream. You get a cute look with a candy cane and a cookie, but that is simply placed on the table with the tray and not neatly served. Otherwise a nice tent!
