We had a delicious meal. I can't stand fries, but their Raspatat was delicious.

Nice spot, with a playground and beautiful seating areas (even when it rains). Tasty snacks that are ready quickly. Good place for a break, for example, if you go mountain biking.

We were very disappointed this time! The fact that it's incredibly crowded on Sundays isn't the owner's fault… But, the fries were like battered mashed potatoes, and the Frikandel Special was less than mediocre. My husband got diarrhea as soon as we got home, and I'm still feeling sick from it 🥴. That's it for us and Turfveld 😖

Delicious food with a great vegan selection (everything pictured) in a beautiful location in the woods. Play area for children, plenty of sunny and shady seating, and very, very fast service. Special kind of fries and incredibly delicious soft-serve ice cream. We'll be regulars here forever! 😍

Self-service... but the trip here is worth it! The selection is SUPER, all the food is FRESH, and the price/performance ratio is absolutely OKAY. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and a variety of seating options in sun or shade offer exactly what you're looking for! TURFVELD - again and again, and with great pleasure...

We had to wait a very long time for our order .. and the lady behind the counter wasn't exactly customer-friendly either when we asked if it was going to take much longer? They only serve crispy fries, and you really have to like them; personally, I didn't find them tasty! Unfortunately, the bratwurst and croquettes didn't really hit the mark either .. It is located in a nice spot, though ..

The fries 🍟 were really delicious. They're specially prepared from mashed potatoes. It's a very comfortable place to sit.

A really nice place to sit with children; the large sandbox is full of toys, there is plenty of space, and there are high chairs. I was happy with the oat milk and vegan mayo; the food is snack bar food.

To get straight to the point: The much-praised raspatat are absolutely delicious, but not the best fries on Texel. However, Turfveld is definitely worth a visit. It's located in/at the edge of the woods on the way to Paal 15, and the prices are much more reasonable than elsewhere on Texel. Frikandel and rapatat – always a good choice 😉

It is the first time we are trying out this snack bar. It is immediately the tastiest and best type of fries ever.

Super spot in the woods with a terrace, a great atmosphere, French fries, breakfasts, delicious pastries, and much more! Top people. One of the nicest spots on the island. You can enjoy walking, running (there is a jogging track), and cycling in the area. The beach is nearby. Highly recommended!

The poffertjes were so hard you couldn't even pierce them with a fork. When I complained, I received new ones without any hassle, which was great. These were significantly better, but still the worst I've ever had. The handle seemed to be pointing towards the freezer; maybe that's why. The fries were quite hard, with a lot of old grease, and lukewarm. Absolutely not worth the price. The location is quite nice, though; I think it would be okay for a drink or ice cream.

When we're on Texel, a visit to Turfveld is a must for us. They have delicious raspatata and meat croquettes, and the set menus are great too. It's a lovely place to sit, and there's also a fantastic play area for children.

Whenever we're on Texel, we always come here. The seating is lovely, there are flowers on every table, the fries and toast are delicious, the cakes are tasty too, and the service is friendly. However, we always go off-season.

In a restaurant in a European country, just after it was renamed the Niederlande, is it difficult to put up a sign stating that menu items can only be ordered until X o’clock? The restaurant is open until 6 pm, but you won’t be able to eat anything that’s been cooked after 5 pm. People who’ve spent several hundred euros here keep coming back. Not enough? The owner probably doesn’t care. The next customers will arrive, because it’s a bit too far to walk.

The fries there are delicious. The atmosphere in the woods is also very nice.

We have loved coming to Turfveld Texel for years, often after a nice mountain bike ride or when taking the dogs for a walk through the woods. It is always a lovely place to settle down for a while. Mother and daughter, together with their staff, form an incredibly fun and hospitable team. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly, and you always feel welcome. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Texel, nature, and a good time!

It's fine for a post-bike fries. However, the quality isn't great. From rock-hard burger buns to cold fries. (See the video with sound :) )

During our bike trip, we visited this fast-food restaurant located in the middle of the forest. There's nice, comfortable outdoor seating, and you can also sit inside. There's a small souvenir corner as well. Definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious, but the location isn't exactly a hidden gem. Unfortunately, it was packed and there were long queues, especially for the restrooms. With so many seats available, one shared restroom for men and women is far too few.

Pros: - very tasty Raspatat!; - very nice location in the middle of the forest with beautiful viewpoints nearby; - a nice place to sit. Cons: - quite pricey (35 euros for 2 people with just a (large) portion of fries, a total of three snacks and one cola p.p.; - we had a large portion of fries, I wonder how small a normal portion of fries would be. Small portions; - staff is not unfriendly, but I wouldn't call them friendly either.

We were here with a large group. We had a delicious meal and were able to sit in the sunshine. The Raspatat was very tasty. The satay sauce from the (Patat Oorlog) was cold, though, but the taste was still okay. The Frikandel Speciaal was also served in a unique way. Sauces and onions were placed in the container and the frikandel was put on top. It was still just really tasty.

Very expensive, but the only nearby option for a snack, coffee, etc. ....

Beautifully situated, but unfortunately they only serve raspatat (potato powder pressed into the shape of fries) and no fries made from fresh potatoes. Therefore, we only ever eat a frikandel special there occasionally.

We come to Texel 2 or 3 times a year and always go to 't Turfveld to get a nice portion of Raspata. For the first time, unfortunately, today it was inedible: stale fries, cold, and most certainly not tasty. It was half of the order, and they even claimed I hadn't ordered it. Definitely the last time for a while.

The food was delicious, with a good selection. The staff was incredibly friendly. Plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors. Dogs are welcome. A visit is highly recommended. Many opportunities for walks are also available.

Nestled right in the woods is this small, cozy, self-service fast-food restaurant. In summer, you can sit outside. Because of the heat, we sat inside and enjoyed delicious frikandels. They also offer very tasty-looking burgers and fries, as well as other light meals.

Turfveld is a lovely place with truly delicious food! The dishes are freshly prepared and simply taste great – whether snacks, main courses, or desserts (delicious cakes 🙂). The relaxed atmosphere amidst the greenery is particularly lovely, combined with the friendly and attentive service. A great place to stop after a walk or excursion, enjoy a good meal, and soak up nature. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

Like many others here, we discovered this treat through the show "Wunderschön." The first time, it was totally fine: fries and a chili veggie burger. A few days later, we went back and ordered a cheeseburger meal and a single veggie burger, this time the other one, the beetroot patty... unfortunately, it was inedible, fried far too long, dark and hard, and the bun didn't taste good either; it was orange. We also got two meals: two salads and two fries. The salad comes from a bag, unfortunately, it wasn't washed again; there was always sand in between.

We've been following Turfveld's development for 30 years. First just a small fries stand, and now a proper little restaurant with a lovely outdoor area! All the dishes are delicious! Two or three visits to Turfveld during a vacation are a must – for us, they have the most delicious raspatat (fries) in the world! 😋

What a lovely spot in the middle of the woods. Plenty of parking, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff. Considering the location and size, they also have a great menu. The strawberry tart is highly recommended!

I don't like the croquettes, they are vegetarian, I don't like that, but maybe for someone else almost everything is vegetarian.

This kiosk was highly recommended on a German TV show. However, we didn't really like the food: it was fast food, and the croquettes had a strange meat filling. Perhaps you have to get used to local specialties first. Standard service for a kiosk: You order inside, and pick it up as soon as the food is ready. The atmosphere is lovely, in the middle of the forest, with a children's playground nearby.

Beautiful location in the middle of the woods, yet sunny. Easily accessible by bike and ample parking. It's a shame it's self-service, especially for the older crowd who come here in the off-season. Prices are too high for self-service. The vegetarian pie is very tasty but also very small and therefore overpriced.

Honestly, the place has obviously been hyped up a bit too much by the WDR broadcast. I definitely prefer classic "friet" to the mashed version offered here. The Frikandel Speciaal also skimps on the sauces. Sorry...

Very disappointing, they were the worst fries and frikandel I've had in a long time. On the Mexican fries, unfortunately, there was no chili from the meat, but a lot of stuff that didn't taste good. Cheese, onions, nachos... Unfortunately, not worth the money. Noisy, because it was completely crowded, lots of kids.

We really enjoyed it here. It's a lovely spot. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had burgers and apple pie and poffertjes to finish. The service was friendly.
