Super friendly service, kid-friendly, and the best burger I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Ate here as a family of 5. Portions perfect for the kids. All clean plates and really broad menu. Something for everyone!

Best blessed hamburger in all of Holland that I’ve had. Had a BLACK BRIOCHE bun. Heavenly. Everything was amazing!! Super nice staff and lovely to sit outside on a nice sunny day, though the interior also looks cozy and home-like. Owner/ manager Markus is down to earth and so accommodating.

Fabulous pub & restaurant, we arrived in a big group of 16 and were accommodated with no problem ! The food was fabulous the kids ate all of their steaks which were cooked perfectly, wine was fabulous, lots to choose from definitely would highly recommend :)

Excellent food, good choice, friendly service, and great value. Our family of four had a Saturday evening dinner there whilst on holiday from England and were very pleased with our choice. Highly recommended.

Service super friendly. Chicken with goat cheese is recommended. Pasta with truffle delicious, could have been a bit more. All in all recommended.

The restaurant was very quiet the day after King's Day, but the cook was not bothered by the day before. The food was all great for our 2 families (10 people). Small tip, sanitary facilities (Men's toilet) can be improved.

Beetje bruine kroeg achtig, ook riool lucht waarschijnlijk door oud pand. Eten en uitgebreide kaart prima. Prijs kwaliteit okay. Personeel niet echt hartelijk. Wat ongeïnteresseerd. Kortom niet echt iets voor ons.

Nice menu. Starters were fine. Main courses were a disaster. Cod on the dry side with ready-made vegetables and sauce that tastes like nothing. Truffle burger very dry. Both me and my partner had stomach problems the next day...very unfortunate

Delicious food! Cozy atmosphere. Only comment: the Tante Door is not organic chicken so the menu is not entirely correct.

Good food, a touch on the pricey side. But, a lot of stuff was out of stock sadly. No brown bread, no spare rips, and various other things that we wanted were simply unavailable or replaced for without our asking. Service was friendly and accommodating, but we'd have been happier if the food we wanted to order was actually available. Or at the least notified of any changes before they arrived at the table. We were expecting to receive carpaccio during the shared platter entre, but it was cold roast beef instead. Weird, and in need of review. The garlic butter was replaced with cream butter That aside, the burger was "well done" rather than medium. It made for a fairly dry eating since it lacked sauce of any kind. The steak was medium rather than rare like we asked. Dessert was lovely, but that's hard to fail. Al in all, the food was good, but with so many things "not right" or not like we ordered, I'm unfortunately unable to really give this a very high review.

Slow service all round, but they were trying

We were on holiday in Duinrell. I booked a table for 13 by email a month before. Email communication was great. We arrived and were treated well, there was no problem with dealing with that number. Food was great for the children and adults. Service was superb.

From the Truffle Pasta, Homemade Chicken Nuggets, Pasta Bolognese to the Chester Burger All of the food was incredible Thank you Can’t wait to try other parts of your menu

Was a great finish to a great holiday. The staff were attentive, friendly and happy to make menu recommendations. Happy to accommodate my son who can be a fussy eater as well. I hope to get another Irish Coffee sometime soon

We had a nice dinner. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait extremely long. I was surprised that the girl who helped us couldn't explain which drinks they had, but there was also nothing on the menu. We were also extremely surprised about the little bowl of fries we received for 2 people. It looked like it was for 1 person, but the girl told us it was for 2... We felt the portions were too small for the price they asked.

Fantastic food great atmosphere staff very professional. We were a family party of 18 aged from 3 to 69. Had a fantastic night. Staff were wonderful. Thank you for a memorable night.

Absolutely amazing food, had the Prawns Pil Pil for starters, what can I say absolutely the best ever. Spoke to the chef asking about the snails, and fair play to him he went out of his way to cook a few to make sure I tried, and again jaw dropping amazing. Had the Goat and Chicken main again A1 And Crème brûlée for dessert 100% This place is not a maybe for your visit, it’s a how many times you can get here. Okay need to let you go as I need to finish one of the best espresso martini I’ve ever had in the one and only Chester’s of Wassenaar Netherlands

We came here two nights in a row when staying in Duinrell next door. Spaghetti prawns was amazing and my wife loved the walnut pasta dish. Big group and everyone loved their food. Steak looked incredible too. Staff super friendly and we enjoyed drinks at the bar both evenings too, with good music also being played. Will definitely revisit when we go back to Duinrell again.

It was a nice atmosphere when we entered. We also received a warm welcome. We ordered the tenderloin satay. These were served quite quickly, but the sauce did not taste like satay sauce at all. No idea what it was. Meat not special either. We wanted dessert, but after our plates were removed, no one came back to ask if we wanted to eat anything else. We finally left on our own to have a delicious meal and dessert at Van der Valk in Wassenaar where we were staying. And that was a good choice. It was wonderful there. I wouldn't eat there again. It wasn't that special.

The decoration is cozy, but the ventilation seems minimal, so it's a bit stuffy with strong smell of cooking oil. Several veg options on the menu, but were out of burrata the day we were there.

To our surprise, the food was extremely disappointing. The meat and fish were tough or fried to death. Unfortunately the truffle pasta wasn't there. The taste is almost inedible - it's a real shame. The fries, on the other hand, were nice and hot but completely without salt. (Re-salting is only possible to a limited extent because salt that is too coarse does not stick.) Burger was also completely saltless and therefore tasteless. The spare ribs were great and boneless. Very pleasant. Wine top. Ambience great. Service attentive and friendly. Unfortunately we don't know where the chef's mind was, but unfortunately he wasn't eating.

We had passed here a few occasions & decided it would be a nice restaurant for our last meal of the holiday at Duinrell. We hadn’t booked but luckily they had a table inside. Service was fast to take the drink order but a bit slower for food. Admittedly they were busy & only 4 ladies whizzing around to tables outside mostly. When we order the food came out very fast which was great as it can be difficult to wait with small children. I had the vegetarian curry which was very nice. Came out piping hot. Husband had pork tender loin. He said it was ok. Would recommend here to eat.

Good service but bad food. 3 out of 8 dishes were ok. 4 lacked flavor and the last one was simply wrong. But very good service. I would say don't eat steak here. Choose something else.

Blandet følelser om denne restauranten. Vi var 8 stk som spiste her. 3 av 8 retter var ok, 4 var riktig men smakte ingenting og den siste var feil. De 3 som var ok, smakte godt og vi ville ha bestilt dem igjen. De 4 som smakte dårlig, var kjøtt retter, som manglet smak, og krydder. De var smakløse. Den som var feil, var ok, men ikke det personen bestilte. I tillegg tok det 50 minutter å få maten - så litt treg service. Men veldig hyggelig kelner. Vi går ikke her igjen dessverre

Chester is a great place to have dinner. The food is super tasty and the staff really friendly. It is always a pleasure being there!

We had dinner with 6 adults and 6 small children (2-7 years) at 5:30 p.m. The food was outstanding and the service was friendly and accommodating. One star deducted because when we checked the bill at the door we noticed that 42 Sprite had been billed. The complaint was accepted without any problems and the invoice was corrected.

Serve the duck liver terrine ice cold, serve a strange fried steak lukewarm, have a discussion at the table about whether the meat is not red due to the light, that red fried meat should be lukewarm and just feel the meat with your finger to see if it is really yes it is! This was the famous straw... we wanted to leave, pay the bill. Then the owner comes to pay and the discussion starts again about the meat. Yes, sorry, but don't do anything about the bill. No cup of coffee offered, just 129.45 charged, including the lady steak that had not been eaten and had been touched by a staff member. No, not again!

Really enjoyable restaurant for a family meal out. Good choice of food including various steak options, curries and fish. Lots of yummy deserts too including tiramisu, chocolate selections and many more. Suitable for families of all ages.

Service was perfect, we felt ‘looked after’. Food was great, clear plates all round. My 10yo said the burger was the ‘best ever!’. Highly recommended, especially in these parts where tourists traps seem to be around every corner.

Very friendly service and very tasty food

Waiting too long, for too little food, for too much money. With lying controls. Saying food is free but charging. The waiter says food will be delivered shortly, but it wasn't until half an hour later that we could eat. Then we ate a real meal.

Here you can sit outside on the pedestrian zone. The burgers were very tasty and the staff (family business) is hard-working, attentive and friendly!
