Food was good, but service and ambiance left much to be desired. We enjoy dining out, but our visit to Reua Thai yesterday was unfortunately disappointing. The quality of the food wasn't lacking, but the overall experience didn't live up to expectations. Food & Drink: The aperitif with pandan liqueur was delicious, and the main course (meat with cinnamon) and dessert were both expertly prepared. The major drawback: Despite explicitly stating that the food wasn't spicy, two courses were so hot that we couldn't eat them. Service & Attentiveness: The welcome was friendly, but the service deteriorated significantly afterward. Our wine glasses were taken away without our request when the water arrived, and we received the wrong water twice (still instead of sparkling). Furthermore, guests who arrived after us were given preferential treatment for the same menu, while we were barely acknowledged from the middle of the evening onward. ```` Ambiance & Ventilation: Two things unfortunately spoiled the evening: Noise level: It was extremely loud in the restaurant, making relaxed conversation almost impossible. Smell: The ventilation seems inadequate. After our visit, we smelled strongly of fried food – an absolute no-go for our clothes after a five-course meal in this price range. Conclusion: Good food alone isn't enough if the service is inattentive and you leave the restaurant smelling like a fast-food joint. We had hoped for more. The food has potential, but the overall experience suffered due to the negligent service and the lack of consideration for our spice preference. We expected more attention from a restaurant of this caliber. What a shame!

You'll feel like you're in Thailand when you dine here. The flavors are amazing and much more authentic than you'll find elsewhere. The service is very friendly and serves the dishes with a passion for the ingredients. The atmosphere might seem a bit cold, mainly due to the size and lighting, but it certainly doesn't detract from the experience.

Went here for the first time yesterday. Everything was perfect! From the atmosphere to the delicious food.

We had a wonderful three-course dinner, each with a small amuse-bouche. Each course was delicious: first, noodle soup, then green curry with shrimp, and finally, steamed sea bass in a red curry. And, of course, a delicious Thai cocktail.

The service is great, I liked the food, but I don't like oriental food. Large selection of wines. The service is excellent, I liked it more than the food 😉😄! But it's a bit noisy.

My husband and I absolutely love Reua Thai. The food, the service, and the atmosphere is beyond beautiful and the food is spectacular. We chose the 5 course meal with a dessert and each course was amazing. We are moving to Italy 🇮🇹 but will be back to visit Netherlands 🇳🇱 for our favorite restaurant. Kudos to the Chef who took time to talk to us and wish up well on our new travel/journey to Italy. If you get the opportunity reserve a table you will be glad you did. 😊 💜

On a quiet Thursday evening at around 5:30 p.m., I felt the unmistakable pull toward something exceptional. Reu Thai in Nuth had been on my personal list for some time, and it proved to be a destination rather than merely a place to eat. This restaurant is for the discerning diner — for those who seek balance, craftsmanship, and a genuine introduction to culinary excellence. A reservation is not a formality here; it is part of the experience. The pricing is remarkably reasonable, yet what you receive in return is rare: profound technical skill, sincere passion, and a masterful orchestration of flavors that transports you far beyond the ordinary. You are invited to slow down. Your coat is taken, the room settles around you, and time seems to expand. Those in search of a quick meal will find that this is not their stage. Here, the chef leads, and the guest follows with trust. This chef now stands at the very top of my list. Without pretension or ego, she allows her cuisine to speak — and it speaks eloquently. My advice is simple: surrender control. Allow her to compose your dishes as she intends. Do not add salt. Do not adjust. To interfere would be to disrupt a carefully calibrated symphony of taste. From an epicurean perspective, this is one of those rare establishments where, when the bill arrives, you understand without hesitation where true value resides.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. The wait times were extreme: 50 minutes for the first drinks, with only some of the table being served, and the rest having to wait an additional 15 minutes. This all happened while staff were chatting at the bar. After an hour, we had to ask for the menu ourselves. The staff were friendly, which is to their credit, but the food also took a long time to arrive. The main course wasn't served until 9:00 PM. It's a shame, because the quality of the food doesn't make up for the poor service.

This restaurant had been on our list for a long time, but we finally went last night, and it was fantastic! We haven't eaten this well in a long time, with unique flavors, beautiful pictures on the plate, great service, and delicious cocktails. We'd love to go back!

Yesterday we went to Reua Thai for dinner for the first time. We had already heard from people that it was good, but when it appeared in the Bib Gourmand after making a reservation, we basically already knew we wouldn't be disappointed. The decor is sleek and industrial and doesn't immediately feel authentically Thai. Due to the sleek industrial design, the noise level can become unpleasantly high, especially when there are large, noisy groups. A conversation at the table is then no longer possible without raising one's voice. That is the only criticism we have, because otherwise it was perfect. The welcome was warm and hospitable. After we had taken our seats on the comfortable furniture, we were given a choice of various cocktails or a mocktail. The table service was attentive and polite, without being obtrusive. Our party consisted of 4 people and we all opted for the 4-course menu. What an amazing experience that was! Every bite was a sensation, the taste buds were pampered, and the dishes were presented with attention and care. We have been to many different Thai restaurants, but this is the best we have visited so far. It is not better, but it stands head and shoulders above the restaurants we visited earlier! Please go check out this amazing place!! They have a tasting menu (3/4/5 courses) and a very satisfying wine list. The service is so accurate and the food is simply tasty and delicious. Every dish is accurately described and the taste is pure Thai. A balanced use of spices and ingredients that makes the experience unforgettable. Starting from the fish soup, than the red fish and the amazing beef, soft and tender, ending with the dessert, a spectacular mix of hot and cold ingredients. The chef is so easy going and had no shame coming downstairs to tell the guests the main dish was running late since was cooked at the moment. Booking a table was so easy so I cannot understand the reviews complaining about it. Hopefully see you next time with a star!! Keep going and thank you!

I just came and they said the kitchen is closed and on the website and google maps it says it opens till 22:00 not good .

If you prioritize quality over quantity and want something different for a change, then you are in the right place. Unfortunately, we didn't get such a nice spot. We were received and treated very warmly and with great hospitality, but the atmosphere could have been more inviting. The curry was heavenly!

A Thai-style culinary experience. We wanted to try something different for a change. The food was truly delicious. A little sour and a little spicy with some sweet and bitter! Excellent combinations and proportions, with no single flavor overpowering. The wine was flavorful and the bottle very affordable. The place was full and the service was very friendly. The restaurant has a very modern look and a pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen is situated higher than the dining room and overlooks it; a funny detail that caught our eye. The value for money is good! We will definitely be back here again.

We had a delicious meal at Reua Thai. All (4) courses were very flavorful and a feast for the eyes. The service is excellent, with brief explanations for each course. If you want to eat something truly different (and slightly spicy), this Thai restaurant is highly recommended. Be sure to make a reservation, as it is deservedly a popular dining spot.

Michelin has already indicated that the excellent hospitality and culinary offerings are developing in a more than positive way. We support these words. We dined last Saturday, August 30th, at 6:30 PM, the start of the wedding day. We enjoyed it, including the dessert.

In verband met een gedenkwaardige gebeurtenis gaan eten bij Reua Thai in het Limburgse plaatsje Nuth. Het restaurant ligt in een oud gedeelte tegenover de kerk. Het restaurant oogt modern en fris. De bediening is erg vriendelijk. Het eten wordt leuk opgediend en smaakt prima. Wij hebben een prima avond gehad.

First time visit & we were very happy with the warm friendly service & delicious food. All cooked with care & although on the spicy side the staff ask how you like the level of heat & will adjust if you wish. Each of the 4 courses were equally delicious. Reua Thai is een stijlvol en modern ingericht Thais restaurant in Nuth, waar je wordt ontvangen met vriendelijke en professionele service. We kozen voor het 3-gangenmenu en werden aangenaam verrast door de verfijnde smaken. De avond begon met een aperitief van lycheelikeur met bubbels, gevolgd door een heerlijke amuse en aspergesoep met garnaal. Het hoofdgerecht – Massaman rund – was subliem, perfect gekruid en zacht gegaard. Als afsluiter genoten we van een lekkere cocktail. Ook de bijpassende wijnen waren uitstekend gekozen. Minpuntjes: de akoestiek kan beter en de open keuken zorgt af en toe voor wat kookgeuren, maar dat deed niets af aan de totaalbeleving. Een aanrader voor liefhebbers van de Thaise keuken met een verfijnde twist. We komen zeker terug!

Recentelijk zijn we weer bij deze topper gaan eten. Ik bedoel, als je een vermelding krijgt in de Michelin-gids. 13,5 punten van Gault & Millau en óók nog eens volgens Lekker bij de 500 beste restaurants van het land behoort, dan doe je ergens iets goed. En dan bleek wederom. Heerlijke amuse. Licht-pittige Asperge tom kha, welke uit de kunst was. Klassieke Thaise soep met lokale ingrediënten. Asperge yum. Wederom licht pittig en geweldig op smaak. Supermalse kip. Topgerecht. Als hoofdgerecht was het keuzestress. Twee van de drie keuzes wisselen en één gerecht staat al geruime tijd op de kaart. De Massaman Curry. Nadat ik de laatste keren de keuze op de andere hoofdgerechten liet vallen kon ik deze keer de keuze voor de Massaman niet weerstaan. Lees de ervaringen van de keurmeesters van Michelin en Gault & Millau. Deze spreken voor zich. De sticky rice met mango-ijs was wederom de perfecte afsluiter. Een avond verrukkelijk gegeten, waarbij de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding buitengewoon aangenaam is.

Delicious food! Never had it before but what flavors! Top chef!

De aanbetaling van 40 euro is gewoon te gek en dan ook nog gewoon in je zak stoppen als je door overlijden niet kan en je dan je geld kwijt was. Verder als je rijstkom aanbied en je zit dan met je vinger in de rijst kan dat echt niet. Het eten was best oke. Soep helaas niet te eten zo scherp was het.

We reserveerden voor 7 p. en moesten p.p. € 40,00 voorschot betalen. 1 p. moest enkele dagen vóór etentje annuleren i.v.m. sterfgeval in familie. 2e p. moest dag ervoor annuleren i.v.m. ongelukje. We gingen dus eten met 5 p. En kozen ieder het 3-gangenmenu van € 54,00. Dit bestond uit asperge Tom Kha met garnaal (soep), een tussengerecht (2 keuzes), een hoofdgerecht (3 keuzes). Wij dronken Spa blauw en rood ( kregen glazen flessen op tafel) en icetea green. We kregen een lekkere amuse. Soep was goed van smaak, voor een paar wat te pittig. Soep was echter lauw. Tussengerecht heilbot in bananenblad: was lekker, wat te droog. Er was een beetje salade bij Hoofdgerecht: 3 p.hadden de zeebaars. Deze werd geserveerd op bedje van boontjes en andere groentes in saus. Ik vond de zeebaars droog. De groentes vond ik niets bijzonders. De massaman curry was lekker. Witte rijst erbij. Als we meer rijst nodig hadden, konden we die krijgen. Was voor ons niet nodig. Er was geen lange wachttijd tussen de verschillende gerechten. Ik vond de stoel niet fijn zitten, was te laag ( ben klein). Bestek: ik eet rijst normaal met een lepel. Deze was erg groot en daarom heb ik mes en vork gebruikt. De domper kwam vooral bij de afrekening. Degene die eerder had geannuleerd, kreeg haar € 40,00 voorschot terug. Dit werd verrekend met wat wij gebruikt hadden. De 2e persoon kreeg het niet terug. Discussie over dat we dit geen goed beleid van hun vinden (we waren toch nog met 5 personen gekomen) en dat dit voor ons reden is, niet meer bij hun terug te komen, werd aangehoord maar meer niet. Het eten was in het algemeen goed maar heb elders heel goed gegeten voor minder geld. Het was die avond niet stampvol en onze tafel stond wat verder van de andere tafels af Daardoor konden we elkaar gelukkig goed verstaan. Onze conclusie: wij gaan er niet meer heen.

Super lekker, mooie presentatie. Jammer genoeg wordt er niet vermeld hoe pikant een gerecht is. Voor mij wel geen probleem maar wel voor sommigen aan mijn tafel. Enige min punt gaat echt naar de akoestiek. Je kan elkaar amper begrijpen.

A deposit of €40 is too much. Easily earn a lot of money if you have to drop out due to a serious private event. Furthermore, the food is more than okay and sufficient for small eaters.

Of course, giving a restaurant a review depends on what you compare it to. This is an above average restaurant that perhaps belongs in the Bib Gourmand category. In the Thai restaurant category this is simply top. Food was great, some flavor combinations were strange such as raw chicory with warm mussels and Dutch shrimps. With the first course (Thai soup) you were asked how spicy you wanted it. But for other people in our party, other courses were too spicy and therefore not tasty. The menu was not extensive, but nice and simple. There was little choice for vegetarians and actually nothing at all for vegans. So carefully coordinate in advance what is possible through the remainder. There was a wine list, but not a drinks menu, while the range was wide with nice cocktails. The service was good and friendly, we decided to always serve the ladies in our party first. Due to the poor acoustics, the service had to shout occasionally. This was striking and they could do something about it. That's why one star less for atmosphere.

Nice food but nothing special as the reviews promised us... we love Thai food and again, it was really tasty but very small portions for a lot of money. Lots of meat, few vegetables. Starter 4 chicken pieces, 17 euros... main course 32 euros! Very expensive for what you get. Service was very friendly but we had to wait a long time, asked for an extra round of drinks and asked twice if we could please pay. Nicely decorated, but very high ceilings and no partitions between the tables, which made it very noisy. The kitchen is located on an elevation in the restaurant. When you walk outside you smell like a fried shrimp... For that money we would rather eat somewhere else... Too bad.

Wat een geweldige traktatie voor je smaakpapillen. Prachtige kwaliteit en een super vriendelijk team daar. Enig puntje van verbetering is inderdaad de akoestiek. Als je uit een vol bezet restaurant komt is het buiten een verademing qua geluid. Maar dar zal me niet weerhouden hier vaker te gaan eten. Daarvoor is het té goed!

Had dinner here tonight. Nice menu with attractive dishes. The food was delicious. Beautiful dishes with refined and well-balanced flavors. Service was friendly and correct. The only downside: the acoustics. That's really terrible. A wall of noise. It is hardly possible to have a conversation with 4 people at the table. Sometimes we had to ask the waiter to repeat what they said up to 3 times because we really couldn't understand it. Very unfortunate and an obstacle to going here again next time despite the delicious food.

Geweldig lekker Thais. Feitelijk gewoon haute cuisine! Alles tot in de puntjes , fijne bediening . Gelaagde bijzondere smaken. Ik zou hooguit vooraf aangeven hoe pittig het mag worden. Dat wordt niet gevraagd maar kan wel. Niet iedereen kan evenveel aan wat dat betreft. En daarmee is zeker niet gezegd dat het te pittig was! Echt top. Enige punt van kritiek , las ik ook in andere review , bij drukte is de akoestiek slecht, te rumoerig . Gezien de strakke inrichting en de lege muren is daar wel iets aan te doen met wat hippe panelen. Maar verder echt een grote aanrader , is waarschijnlijk de beste Thai van Nederland!

Great Thai at star level appearance. Very different from other Thais. The only downside for me was the acoustics, it was a cacophony of people talking. The restaurant was completely occupied. There were two of us and we could just talk to each other.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and courteous service. We really like Thai food. Unfortunately, we didn't think this was anything special. 3 courses done. Main course was just meat with sauce and rice. Would have liked some vegetables added for an extra bite. Unfortunately, this is not worth repeating for us.

The restaurant is a 'large' open space with a large glass front to the street, modernly furnished. At first I didn't find it very romantic or cozy, but the extremely friendly service and the delicious food quickly made me forget that. The menu is completely different from what we find in many oriental restaurants, where an abundance of dishes make the choice difficult. The menu is limited, but diverse. The dishes are not only fantastic in taste, but a feast for the eyes. Also different from many oriental restaurants is the beautiful wine list. We had a wonderful evening out and will definitely make a follow-up visit.

Alles buiten gewoon goed zowel het eten als de bediening. Interieur is mooi en strak. Een minpunt is de akoestiek die moet worden verbeterd. In een vol restaurant kun je elkaar aan tafel niet meer verstaan. Vraag expert hoe je dit met wat aanpassing kan verbeteren. Succes en we komen graag terug.

Geweldige smaken die nog lang in je mond circuleren in een verrassend traditionele en toch moderne sfeer met vriendelijke bediening die alles in de gaten heeft en ook altijd tijd vindt om een praatje te maken. Heerlijk gegeten met z'n vieren in een prachtig restaurant met superaardig personeel. We gingen voor het 3 gangenmenu en startten met een verukkelijke mocktail! Het eten werd prachtig opgediend en smaakte subliem. Jammer dat er de avond toen wij er waren zoveel vliegen rondvlogen.....

Hier komen we al jaren. Ik heb het genoegen gehad om in heel wat Thaise restaurants te mogen eten. Maar deze juweel in Nuth ontstijgt ze allemaal. Of je nu in Aken, Genk, Maastricht, Keulen, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam of waar dan ook gaat eten, deze is gewoon perfect. Zelfs in Bangkok heb ik niet zo goed gegeten. Vergeet gewoon ook het gebrabbel in sommige voorgaande recensies. Lawaai? Onzin. Misschien eens naar 'Beter Horen' gaan ofzo. Wachttijden? Als je kakelvers wilt eten duurt het soms iets langer. Als je haast hebt? Ga dan gewoon naar een vreetschuur, waar je binnen een paar minuten een plofkip op je bord krijgt. Aangevuld met met wat mais en chemische sausjes. Vanavond hebben we buitengewoon lekker mogen tafelen in een tot op de laatste tafel bezet restaurant. Een gesprek aan tafel was geen enkel probleem, ondanks het onweer en een verfrissende regenbui. Heerlijk met mijn partner de afgelopen en komende week kunnen bespreken. Het eten? Na een heerlijke amuse (pikkelend) een overheerlijke soep. Noord Thaise noedelsoep | ขนมจีนน้ำเงี้ยว tomaat (uit eigen tuin? Perfecte smaak | gefermenteerde boon | noedels. Ronduit een genot. Géén Nederlands/Thais. Lekker met pit. Pla paneang | ปลาแพนง dorade | gember | Thai basilicum | groene asperge. Tjezus wat lekker. Groenten uit eigen tuin en een dorade om je vingers bij af te likken. Wederom zalig. Heerlijk krokant gebakken dorade, aangevuld met méér groenten dan aangekondigd. Topgerecht. Tenslotte zijn wij afgeweken van onze eerdere ervaringen, maar we kozen tóch voor een Aziatisch dessert, omdat deze tot vanavond altijd tegen vielen. Tot vanavond dus. Mango met sticky rice. Sticky rice was wat ons betreft méér gepofte rijst met een overheerlijk zelf gemaakt mango-ijs. Complimenten!! Perfecte combinatie van zoet en zuur. Espressootje met bonbon maakten de avond af. En gezien het hetgeen op tafel komt van een aangenaam prijsniveau. Slotconclusie? Ik vind het uitermate vreemd, dat een restaurant met deze kwaliteiten niet in de Michelin-gids verschijnt. In Maastricht heb je een Thais restaurant waar je best lekker kunt eten en een Bib Gourmand heeft, maar nergens in de buurt komt van wat Pattama Simons hier op tafel tovert.

Met een geslaagden combi van authentiek Thai food en een eigentijdse westerse twist eet je hier in een fancy ambiance. De porties zijn bescheiden dus wij namen een 4-gangen diner. Houd rekening met lange wachttijden tussen de gerechten door. Met de bescheiden porties die overigens overheerlijk waren, vonden wij gemiddeld 40 minuten wachten op het volgende gerecht wel heel lang duren. Cocktails zijn nogal overpriced. Tot slot, de bediening is top! Dit restaurant is ieder geval een aanwinst voor deze contreien.

Delicious food and good service! We will definitely come back. The only downside is that it is much too hot in warm weather. An air conditioner would be welcome.

We had the four course menu and really enjoyed all the dishes, they were full of flavor, some with a slight spicy kick, all cocktails and moctails we tried were lovely, service was attentive, it does take some time in between of dishes but for us it was perfect little break, we were super full at the end of the dinner, it’s also nice the menu apparently changes every few weeks so opportunities to try other delish dishes by this chef when we return. Definitely recommend!

We had a delicious meal here, they don't have much choice on the menu, we went for the 4 course menu, very tasty and fortunately not too spicy! The mocktail was also delicious 😁 Only the acoustics are not good, making it very noisy. Friendly service. Nice detail: the kitchen is one floor higher, so they can look down on the guests.

Excellent meal! Friendly and good service. In the afternoon she called to ask if we had any special wishes regarding allergies. We have been to many Thai restaurants, but this one was our number one. Also refreshing choices on the menu. We had our doubts about the beef with cinnamon but were pleasantly surprised. Really super tasty.

Beautiful restaurant and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we didn't like the food. Nothing special. Price and quality difference. We also had to wait a very long time between Starters and Main courses.

Heel goed restaurant met top service! Super voorgerecht en welkomst cocktail. Verfijnd en gelaagd. De latere gerechten waren ook lekker maar iets minder dan fabuleus voorgerecht! Ook onverwacht ietwat scherp. Nagerechten weer geweldig. De akoestiek im deze ruimte is moeilijk en de aankleding wat kil. We zouden er echter zo weer terug keren.

Eten super goed, en lekker, kan je naar toe zonder reservering
