As an Italian restaurant it was very good. If I come again, I would choose it again.

The best minestrone soup I have ever tasted. Pizzas are also great, and not so expensive. Highly recommend.

I had booked a table on the restaurant's website for December 31st at 8.30pm with confirmation, at the indicated time we show up and they ask us if we had booked, I show it to them and the person in charge of welcoming customers with arrogance and dislike has said that the reservation was not there the kitchen was closed and he kicked us out putting us in difficulty. Absolutely not recommended due to rudeness and rudeness

So in Amsterdam there are hundreds of restaurants, choosing the right one is difficult, this one wasn't. If you think you can't go wrong with pizza, but you can. The base was very tough, with tomato sauce on top (very sour and bitter). Lots of cheese and then just a slice of raw eggplant, zucchini, peppers and mushrooms. It couldn't be worse Unfortunately I wouldn't make any recommendations here, but everyone has different tastes...

Unfortunately the restaurant is not run by Italians, and this is evident in the food. The pizza is a regular frozen pizza. It had absolutely nothing to do with an Italian pizza. If you want something to eat for $10 without any culinary pretensions, then this is perfect. The service was still very friendly.

Damage. I cannot explain and understand the rating of this restaurant. Concerning the service, on a table of 6, an error on a drink and an error on a dish, refusal to divide the bill equally. Which explains the note for the service, which is done without a smile. Regarding the cuisine: the pesto is an arugula pesto, not basil. Pizzas/pastas are cooked randomly. The only dish on the table that was successful was the one with no connection to Italy. The prices are not too high, but do not correspond to the service. The atmosphere was okay, a little kitsch but that's probably what pleases us. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant, this is not what you will find, but, at most, an Italian one.

Mandatory stop in Amsterdam, excellent food like in Italy, excellent service and a lot of courtesy, a welcoming service is not a given in Amsterdam given that most of the staff are grumpy, I recommend you stop by Peppino, you will be amazed at an honest price.

The woman was very nice and service was fast too. When we had started eating the delicious food, the woman arrived a little later with another pizza. She told us that they had made 1 too many and if we wanted we could have it for free. This is what I call top service. And the prices are also very good for what you get! Highly recommended!

Atmosphere is fine. Due to crowds? the service is slow. The calzone was mainly filled with cheese. Vegetables (peppers) unfortunately not yet cooked. There was little meat available.

The food was very good! We too the focaccia as a starter and it came with a garlic like sauce that we liked! The focaccia itself was good crusty and soft in the inside. For the food we took pizza with hamand a type of lasagna with spinach. Both were very good! We finished everything very fast. For the service I felt very welcomed and helped when needed. The workers were kind and nice. For the atmosphere it made me feel like i am sitting in an Italian style place all the decorations were very traditional and nice looking. Overall very nice place that I recommend trying!

An old (real Italian) family restaurant with very nice personnel, good food and affordable prices.

Delicious food, and good sized portions. There is plenty of choice for Italian restaurants within a few blocks in this area, and we would return to this one. We were able to get an outside table under the heaters, and the service and meals were quick. We enjoyed the Spaghetti carbonara, Penne pesto with chicken, and pepperoni pizza.

Very cordial, nice service. Lots of choice of places to sit. Extensive menu. The minestrone was excellent, full of gently cooked vegetables, with nice warm bread next to it. The Calamari were buttery soft and tasty. The Calzone pizza was fantastic. Full of fresh vegetables and with delicious thin dough. The bolognaise sauce on the side works great with this dish. The salmon was also particularly tasty. Nicely crispy, boneless and juicy in the core. We enjoyed it. Thanks

After a long and tiring day, we found the perfect place to relax in the Peppino restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, which immediately put us in a better mood. The food was simply outstanding! Each of us was thrilled by the freshly prepared dishes, which were impressive both in terms of taste and appearance. The variety on the menu left nothing to be desired and the quality of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. The friendly service rounded off our experience. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend Peppino!

Had the tagliatelle with shrimps as well as fried calamari. Both tasted great and the portions were well sized.

I understand it is a reasonably priced place, but 1) it is ridiculous to serve filet (the most expensive item on the menu) with champignons from a can. Better not have it on the menu. 2) there should be some more traces of minced meat on the Bolognese...

Sweet little classic Italian place. Salmon ravioli was excellent. Gorgonzola lasagna was interesting. Did eat the whole thing. Reasonable prices for location.

I felt like i was in Italy when visiting. Everything wzs so thematic and the food was simple but outstanding in quality. We ordered 2 pizzas and ice cream with a few drinks. And everything was top quality. The servers speak English and are super friendly

It's a bit strange that they don't offer tap water. It's something that most places consider a basic amenity. While the food might be great, it's a bit disappointing that they charge €5 for bottled water. If you're planning to visit this place again, it might be a good idea to bring your own water bottle. That way, you can avoid paying the extra cost and stay hydrated. But the wood was good.

You have to know how to choose. I ate really good lasagna and cannelloni, with a very tasty sauce. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Went there twice last week during the school trip and I'll be back again soon with my friend. Unfortunately not a real carbonara as I expect, BUT damn tasty, and in contrast to what you often get here in Germany, you can definitely call it a carbonara. It doesn't always have to be the most expensive ingredients to still make a good meal out of it. Very nice owners. The man was really nice and understood us really well despite our broken English and brought us really delicious food. On the second visit, a woman (presumably his) was there. She speaks German and is so sweet too. I would like to give 10 stars because you put up with us and were still so nice. The cocktail I ordered was also very tasty, and price-wise everything was very justified for the quantity and taste. Please don't change anything because it's perfect like this.

We entered hesitantly. I'm glad we entered. We tried pizza and pasta. It was sooo delicious. It's a little small inside, but that's not a big problem. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Cozy restaurant. The service is very good. Our calzone was not warm on the inside. You can then do two things. Either you end up leaving with an unpleasant feeling because you didn't say anything or you report it. We did the latter and we are happy about that. You could tell that they found it really annoying and a little later they brought a new one which they had made extra nice. And....super tasty. Everything was delicious by the way. We got a cup of coffee on the house. That's what I call real customer friendliness. In short. Highly recommended!

The pizzas are average but they are not bad in flavor or size. They take a while to both order and serve.

I came here with my sister because it was cheap and that’s the only reason I’m giving 1 star. The food is pre-made and frozen. I ordered a burrata expecting it to be creamy, it was a solid block of cheese with three cherry tomatoes cut in half, the cheese didn’t even taste like mozzarella, the taste was something more string cheese. My sister ordered the frutti di mare pasta and couldn’t even finish it because how bad it was, she described the pasta as overcooked and at the same time hard and said the seashell made her nauseous. The service was regular, we had to call the waiter many times because otherwise we wouldn’t get attention, and the service was also slow. It was kind of “expensive” considering the experience we had. I don’t recommend this place

I come here every time I visit Amsterdam, it's a true gem. Their food is outstanding, well priced and I've always had great service. The burrata appetizer is a must as are any of the pizzas. Fantastic restaurant in a really lively party of the city. Top notch!

Delicious dinner last night! I had a very simple Caprese but I think it was the tastiest I have ever eaten! And they were certainly not stingy with the buffalo mozzarella, it was super delicious! Compliments also to the service, fast and very friendly and pleasant! :)

Restaurant that I do not recommend, a real tourist trap of poor quality. Very bad food, with liquid lasagna that has too much cheese, and pizza that is almost raw and cold. Unpleasant service where we were refused reheating of a barely cooked dish. Don't go there, the waiters are not friendly and the food is bad!!!

Three families, 10 people in total so struggled to get a table elsewhere so popped in by chance. Glad we did. Some tables joined together and 10 people seated comfortably. All has drinks, a few starters and mains. All very good quality and very tasty. Our biggest surprise was the bill. €260. We'd expected a lot more so so Inc drinks. Everyone full and happy on €26 a head, so great value. Top marks to the people who served up. Great service
