Great location. Had a really delicious pizza, where you can add or remove items (for a fee). I ordered tiramisu but didn't eat it. After a few bites, I wondered what the hell I was eating... I personally thought it had little to do with tiramisu. It looked more like two layers of cake with some kind of cream in between and a thick layer of cocoa. I reported this, and they said they would remove it from the receipt... I don't know if they actually did, since my mother paid for it.

Yum, the food was truly delicious. It's been six years since we last went here, but next time won't be that long. Pleasant atmosphere. Great team. Very kind to our daughter, too. And the food was delicious. Especially large portions and affordable. We loved it!

A very nice place with great food (don't forget to have tiramisu for dessert). It has a small parking but if it is full you can park in a proper city parking few meters away. Usually I visited in winter but recently I found out that they have summer area (open) at the back. Great choice if you ever visit Rotterdam.

Farewell of a colleague celebrated with a large group. We got a buffet of a number of different starters, main courses and finally the desserts. Everything was good and tasty. You get mega a lot of food.

Shrinkflation has also struck Pappagallo. The pizzas are suddenly smaller. The price is not, of course.

The food is good. It is extremely annoying when you are eating and other guests feel the need to smoke next to your dinner. Why not a smoking ban? Until then I will skip Pappagallo!

Large and attractive restaurant, that combination does not naturally go together! Playful spaces, a conservatory and garden. The acoustics could be a bit better, a bit noisy. It was quite busy on Saturday with relatively few staff, which meant that the wrong dish was served and the contact moments with the service did not always match the consumption needs, which meant that the second glass of wine was no longer available. The mistake was corrected neatly and without discussion and the service was very friendly. The dishes were mediocre to reasonable. Some were a bit bland or were not in the oven long enough, etc. Nicely presented. The tiramisu cake could have been dipped more generously in the coffee/liqueur mixture and the wine may have been left for too long. Seemed soft at first, but unfortunately quickly developed a persistent slightly sour undertone. Less exciting experience than hoped. That remains a gamble with lesser-known Italian wines. Free parking on a small private plot. I think surrounding alternatives are paid for. Let's see if Pappagallo can earn another star next time! 😃

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was incredibly romantic. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and served with care. It’s the perfect spot for a special evening or a cozy dinner. Highly recommended!

A delicious experience in an authentic Italian restaurant! We very much enjoyed our visit. The staff was friendly and professional, and the treatment was upscale from start to finish – we felt like we were truly special guests. We started with Gamberi Olio all’Aglio, tender shrimp flavored with garlic and red pepper with crunchy crostini – simple but full of flavour. We ordered the Ravioli Gamberi with Ravioli Vegetariano sauce, and it was a lovely surprise! The shrimp flavor went perfectly with the pumpkin sauce, cheese and walnuts. As for the Frutti di Mare, we chose it with spaghetti – a wonderful combination of seafood in a light tomato-basil sauce, and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly. The food was certainly good and so was the service. They were attentive and neat. Only the atmosphere was mediocre, the decoration in the conservatory was minimalist. Don't know if I would go back anytime soon. I kind of missed the experience of eating out.

Delicious pizza with nice staff!

The pizzas are not what they used to be. The dough seems completely changed and it is baked on a rack instead of the brick oven.

We were with a large group (16 people) and could simply order from the menu. Everything was served simultaneously. Pizzas, pastas and meat dishes. An error from the kitchen was resolved very well with a free drink from the company. I thought it was very noisy in the shop. But the atmosphere was pleasant.

Had a wonderful tasting of various delicacies. Friendly staff. I will definitely come back here again.

A restaurant like there are many, sloppy service. Taste of food mediocre. Toilet group is seriously below standard in terms of hygiene and only 1 toilet for so many tables.. Maybe again as a quick pick-up, not for dining.

We have been coming to Papagallo for years and always enjoy it. The atmosphere, service and food were always great! Were...... since the change in staff, from trained catering staff to part-time students, the atmosphere and quality have deteriorated. The complete papagallo experience is lost to us. We don't go there anymore because it has changed for the worse

The 11 euro ravioli consisted of 4 slices of stuffed pasta with some cheese on top and a bowl of bread. This was supposed to represent something culinary but it was just incredibly little and very simple cheap pasta. Not a worthy appetizer at all. The main course, the pizza, was okay, nothing Italian, a nice pizza but no quality products were included. Soil was of very poor quality. Service was friendly and good. Restaurant looked clean and tidy. The price for the starter was absolutely outrageous, the price for the main course was okay. The appearance of the restaurant was supposed to suggest Italian, but the food was severely substandard. Not worth repeating.

This is our new favorite restaurant in Spijkenisse. There is honestly nothing negative to say. The service is friendly. The food is very tasty. I haven't found any Italian restaurants that exceed this quality yet. In addition, the interior is very nice and the prices are very strong. The portions are very good and there is the option to take something home with you if you don't finish it. We will visit again soon (and again and again).

I have been living in Spijkenisse for 24 years now for the second time for dinner, the first time was December 6, 2024 and then December 21. Delicious food, nice restaurant, cheerful staff, highly recommended, something for everyone

I said 5 years ago: Good food, glass of wine. Experienced service wonderful. You can just do it But booked today at 7:00 PM at the request of Pappagallo instead of 6:30 PM. But the table was not ready. After waiting 10 minutes we were able to sit at the table. We wanted to order a bottle of wine, then we had to get the menu become. And then waited at least 25 minutes. But no more service came to our table. We then just left. What a mockery. No more Pappagallo for us. That's not how you treat customers. I have written reasonable reviews everywhere, but I think this is my first 1 star. And that is actually 1 star too many.

Had Christmas dinner at Pappagallo on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Christmas Day with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, Boxing Day with my girlfriend. The first day the food was terribly salty and inedible. On Boxing Day the fish was sad and the diamond hare dry and bitter. So I sent the food back both days. No other food was possible. Lost a lot of money and what was offered was a cup of coffee, which was scandalous to say the least. At the very least management could have done something with the bill. This is very bad service I will definitely not eat at this restaurant again with my friends and family. Bad restaurant.

This is our favorite restaurant with my husband, we often have dinner here and everything is always delicious, fast, good service, we want to come back here. Large portions of food. I recommend trying salmon steak, pasta with seafood, lasagna (regular), and they also have incredibly tasty pizza.

Great place for good food. Very extensive map. Even with a group, the food came fairly quickly. Restaurant is about a 15 minute walk from the metro.

We were with a group, so many different dishes. I thought there was very little tuna on the pizza.

We had a delicious meal. Bread with delicious onion chutneys. Take a sweet look, including the sweet balsamic vinegar. We also had hot and cold starters. Including a delicious well-filled shrimp soup, crispy fried salmon, carpaccio with parmesan cheese, cream cheese roll wrapped in a delicious ham and a bowl of beef salad with a truffle salami roll. The bruschetta's are also recommended. Delicious pizzas with twisted edges. The stuffed ravioli with wild mushrooms and Gelderland chicken is also recommended. For dessert, of course, the homemade tiramisu and cheesecake.

Sat in the outdoor area which is now heated with heaters. It was too hot, which gave me a headache at the end of the evening. Staff friendly, waiting times reasonable. Pizza 4 cheeses very good, base very good, tasty cheeses.

Ate here last weekend. A very long wait for the main course, and when it finally arrived, the pizza was inedible. This was with the entire group we ate with. All pizzas were just really not tasty. Carpaccio beforehand was fine. But you just can't mess that up. "Italian" restaurant uhuh. Just go to Happy Italy! The pizzas there are always tasty and good

Well, for years it was the place to be to just enjoy a good meal; I don't know what happened, but I think even an Italian would be unhappy here. A few mistakes in Italian on the menu, but luckily you don't have to eat them. Pizzas very greasy; the salami is blamed for this and with 3 identical pizzas you also get the strong feeling that the dough is ready and delivered. If I wanted to eat this kind of pizza, I would get a drOetker in the supermarket.

Truly the worst caprese ever eaten. It was so bad it made us laugh. A tiny bit of melted and re-solidified mozzarella on a lukewarm tomato. Papagallo receives the prize for worst Italian imitation.

Food good and tasty. Restaurant very noisy depending on where you sit. Again to eat pizza. How disappointing that was, unimaginatively lacking in flavor, sticky, it looked like the bottom came out of the freezer. Report this but they couldn't solve it anymore, even though we didn't eat half of it. A missed opportunity for the restaurant not the service for the customer. So we won't go here again to eat Italian.

Really great! Tonight we had a nice dinner at Ristorante Pappagallo. Delicious meal in the restaurant garden. Until now, we regularly came to Pappagallo to pick up a pizza or to have a nice meal in the restaurant. Normally we always opt for the old friend, a pizza or something made of pasta. But Ristorante Pappagallo also appears to have a surprising menu of meat and fish dishes. Tonight we opted for the surprise 3-course menu. It was really fun with all kinds of small dishes. Had a delicious meal tonight 👍🏻

Yesterday we ordered 3 pizzas in the restaurant, when we received them the dough was not yet cooked. This was indicated to the service and we received 3 new pizzas. The inside of the dough was not good and these pizzas were really salty. Again we indicated that it was not tasty. The waitress stated that the pizza was done, but that this was due to the sauce, otherwise the pizza would be dry. I've eaten pizza all over the world, but this was really the worst. Luckily we weren't charged anything. personally I think that the pizza is baked too hot and too much mess is thrown on it and therefore it does not cook on the inside.

In the past we came here regularly.....nice atmosphere, good food and nice staff. We haven't been there for a number of years because it wasn't going to change. The pizza dough was often still raw. There was no change. But it definitely deserved a second chance. It is still a beautiful and cozy restaurant. Delicious mature pizzas with many combinations. No more raw dough. Pizzas are still hard and stiff. It's nice that progress has been made in this restaurant. That's inviting, but they're not there yet.

Take away pizza was intensely salty and pizza pollo comes with some slice of chicken fillet from the supermarket???

Today I had a quick pizza, oh it's been a while since I've been there. Service top, but the Pizza oei often eat a pizza at Gusto in Rotterdam, those are Pizzas. This was yes, I will call it, this is really not possible. The rest is probably good, but pizza, no, that's not possible, too bad.

Cozy restaurant. Pizzas are fine, but a bit too thick, both the bottom/edge and the toppings.

Large Italian restaurant, spacious layout so you have the necessary privacy, good menu with both pizzas and more culinary dishes. Fair prices. One of the better places if you like Italian cuisine. Both for business and family dinners.

Robust tasting. Tasty, but a lot. Could be a little more refined with a more Italian touch.

I cannot overstate how satisfied I am eating here. We've been here 3 times now, each time we went for the "proefmenu" which basically gives you 6 starters, 4 main dishes and 4 deserts. The portions are smaller than a regular dish, but by no means small. I cannot, for the life of me, finish all of it. But the staff is happy to let you take leftovers home if you ask. Speaking of which, the staff is very well mannered and kind. They know their stuff and will happily help with wine suggestions or general questions. Atmosphere is busy, as a good restaurant should be, but the place is very "gezellig", price is more than acceptable in my opinion. Again, one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life.

Good Italian in Spijkenisse. It is wise to make a reservation. Super nice address and in the summer also a beautiful terrace at the back of the garden.

My husband and I like to have dinner here together. Cozy romantic atmosphere and delicious food. The Inferno pizza in particular is our favorite. We also sometimes do take-out, which is always good. Parking is available in the Boekenberg parking garage, less than a minute's walk away and not expensive. They also have a small parking lot, but it is always full.

First of all, compliments to the team! A big 10. Super friendly staff. The food was also really tasty. We had the tasting for 3 people. From starter to dessert was good! We also need a Pappagallo in Amsterdam hahaha.
