Delicious food! Excellent service! I loved it. Definitely a place on my list to return to.

Fortunately, without a reservation, we were able to get a table on a Sunday evening. We were immediately told that the chef was still on vacation and that the menu was therefore a bit smaller, and that it might take a little longer. For that reason, we received a bread roll with herb butter on the house. But that wasn't actually necessary, because our pizza and melanzane arrived very quickly. And it was delicious. Compliments to the staff!

Had a wonderful evening! It is a cozy restaurant with incredibly friendly staff. We also had a fantastic meal and drank good wine. We will definitely be back here!

I have been going to Luca's for over 20 years and the quality of the food has deteriorated enormously, which is a real shame!! I had the pan-fried sole in lemon; well, it seemed like the lemons were on sale. I couldn't taste any fish; they were floating on the plate. My son had a hair near his meat, and the vitello tonnato starter also had a huge amount of sauce on it. I reported it to the wait staff, but they just stood there laughing and shrugging their shoulders, after which we were practically stared out of the place… The old owner was always good friends with my father Mancini (also from Italy). I do know that I will never go there again, despite the beautiful memories…

We had a wonderful experience at Pizza Lucca in Haarlem. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they kindly welcomed us and found us a table. The pasta was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. What a wonderful experience this was. Everything was perfect down to the last detail during our dinner on Spaarnwouderstraat. The dishes not only looked beautiful but tasted delicious too. The pizza with the edible flowers and the fresh burrata in the middle was a feast for the eyes, in particular. It is highly recommended for anyone who loves honest and flavorful food in a pleasant atmosphere. We will certainly be back here soon.

Yesterday, we went to Luca's looking forward to a relaxed dinner. But what a disappointment it was. At first, there was no space outside. Eventually, we did get one table outside next to the family who were doing the most talking, making it almost impossible for us to hear each other. Then, another family/acquaintance gathered around us, waiting for tables that were being set up outside especially for them. All in all, the lovely dinner out was a letdown. We will go to a different Italian restaurant next time. We had ordered water.....1 bottle €7.50. A BIT MUCH!!!

We ate at Luca in Haarlem today; with a 9.0 on The Fork and 4.4 on Google, that must be good. It's a nice spot in Haarlem with various tables outside and more inside for two, four, and more people. The two-person wait staff couldn't manage to properly serve the 8 customers inside and 4 customers outside. They just walked around and looked but didn't act, only acting when the customers beckoned them. Our order of 2x carpaccio and focaccia saw one carpaccio forgotten. This one was also unusual, with lettuce under the meat and lemon and pickles on top alongside the arugula, unroasted seeds, and some sour sauce. The focaccia was tasty, but 10 euros for such a roll is quite pricey. For the main course, we both had the pasta served in the Parmesan cheese wheel because that wasn't possible for one person. When it was served, however, we both received a plate of spaghetti with sauce and Parmesan cheese on top. No tableside preparation in the wheel? No, they haven't been doing that for a while. The taste was good but far too salty. For dessert, we each had a Scropino and shared a canoli. These tasted good, although the canoli came from a very well-functioning fridge. Outside, the Italian owners were having an elaborate meal with some guests while enjoying plenty of cigarettes, which did not go down well with the other diners on the terrace. All in all, certainly not 5 stars, but a maximum of 3. The atmosphere was okay, but the service needs to be much better both inside and out. The total bill was nearly 150 euros, and it was definitely not worth it. So, no good value for money.

The food was sensational, bursting with fresh flavours and a love and light presence in every bite. The service was excellent, arguably the best I’ve experienced in the Netherlands. The cosy and beautiful atmosphere captivated me. Kiko’s heartfelt stories about his family’s restaurant and grandfather, especially when he explained the dishes, family recipes and wine from his Sardinian region, were truly captivating. It was a wonderful experience for my family and I, celebrating my brother’s birthday. Fun fact: they even organised a birthday song and candlelight celebration just for us!

Service: very good. We arrived at 8 for our reservation and they asked to wait about 10 minutes. ( then they offered a drink for the wait ). The waiters are very nice and take time to explain and answer your questions. Food : amazing. I tried a small pizza and fresh fried squid ( very good ). The Lasagna is so good, I’d recommend it highly. Overall the experience was good and the food were amazing. I will comeback next time I visit Harleem

Luca was recommended to us by people from Haarlem, and it was a fantastic tip! A very nice little restaurant just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center. Real Italians who give you a warm welcome. Lots of delicious food, the classics but also unique dishes! A tip for next time!

I have been coming to Luca Restaurant for years and it has always been one of those warm, family-style places you enjoy returning to. Unfortunately, our last visits were disappointing. It feels like the restaurant may be a victim of its own success. Despite clear efforts to keep things running, the newer staff did not deliver the level of service or food quality we were used to. Last thing my tagliatelle was overcooked, which was already a letdown. What surprised us more was that when my girlfriend asked once for a small extra sprinkle of parmigiano, we were charged €2.25 for a large portion without any prior notice. I have since heard similar feedback from Italian colleague who has decided not to return, which is a shame.

We went with a baby and a child and ordered pizza and bolognese pasta. I've eaten pasta in many places, but I think this was the best. My baby loved it too, and they even gave us an extra plate and a spoon for the baby. We had cheese pizza, which had a wide variety of cheeses in it.

Never again. Ants in cannoli dessert. Did get a 50% discount and many apologies. Dear Sandro, regarding your comment: You were clearly not there. Your employees twisted the story about our behavior considerably. The handling of the ant incident was polite on both sides.

An Italian restaurant offering choices primarily of pasta, pizza, and/or meat dishes, along with a special dish consisting of pasta with Parmesan cheese, prepared live from a large Parmesan cheese. (Orders for two people or more). This time, I had ravioli with truffle sauce. My companion had a quattro stagione pizza and found the flavor and crust delicious! I, too, thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Dessert was tiramisu and lemon tart. The tiramisu was fresh and mild, and the tart was actually a cake. The flavor was intense (very good if you love lemon, as I do). In short, a very pleasant evening with hospitable service (cheerful and helpful), and the meal was good and tasty.

Last night, after a wonderful boat trip, we went to Luca (reserved online) in Haarlem, and it was a hit! The first impression was very good; the ambiance was cozy and inviting. We shared the Antipasto Casa per due as a starter. It was varied, fresh, and lovingly prepared. This was followed by dishes such as spaghetti frutti di mare, tagliatelle al ragu Bolognese, melanzane alla parmigiana, and delicious pizzas, as well as a sweet finale. You can tell that the food here is prepared with good ingredients and a lot of passion. The service was very attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive. Anyone in Haarlem craving authentic Italian cuisine should definitely pay the Adamo family a visit. We would love to come back!

First of all, I want to say that it is really delicious here, and some of the staff are quite friendly, this is the only reason why I put 3 stars, otherwise I would put 1. The problem with the place is that you can wait a long time for your food, even if they are not fully seated. We waited 50+ minutes for our food and no one warned us about it. Also, it's very strange that we didn't even ask for an apology, and when I asked the manager if he could explain why the food takes so long to prepare, he answered: - "We're not Fast Food." I have a lot of experience working in restaurants and waiting 50 minutes without a full seat is crazy. As it turned out, the manager is the owner of the restaurant and also the waiter, he was the one who served us. I got the impression that he absolutely does not care about us and his institution, maybe he has already burned out on this matter...

Well, what a great time at this restaurant on the outskirts of the lovely place, Haarlem. The menu has some Sardinian influence as does the wine ,both of which we found echoes of Pani in Newcastle, uk if you like that place. We went on Sunday night the day after major Kings Day events. Food was great but what makes the place stand out is the friendliness. We were celebrating a significant birthday but kept it quiet, but were amazed when the staff brought out a roman candle and Limoncellos. They even played appropriate music for tipsy English people. This is a place that delivers just what you expect in an Italian that does more than pizza and pasta, which is important for one of us who is celiac. Thanks.

Mediocre organization. Dishes were reasonable, but the timing made them look bad.

The food is great but the staff was not very kind. At first they didn't want to take us because we had no reservation though there were seats inside. Then one waiter came and offered us to sit outside. We did despite the cold. No heaters. Finally when the time came to pay they told us we can't split the bill. They noticed it was a school and they were all students. While trying to pay, the staff were not even apologetic about the stress we were in. I wouldn't go there again even if the food is good because I would prefer a good treatment along with it!!!

Nice meal. Some minor flaws, especially when they started cleaning everything up while we were still eating. Also asking for coffee while we were eating our dessert just to get us out of there and it wasn't that late, 9:30 PM. Too bad, very sad. A second time ??????

What a wonderfully cozy Italian restaurant! A real gem in Haarlem, where we will happily return. We ate here tonight with a group of 8 people and we were positively surprised in every way with fantastic food, delicious wines and very hospitable and friendly service. In this restaurant they know how to please their guests. The 1.5 kg Tomahawk steak that could be ordered off the menu tonight became a prey for me and two other friends and was truly delicious. But that also applied to all the other dishes that were prepared and served with passion. Luca has really become a new favorite restaurant for us tonight.

A very good Italian restaurant. Good service with a true concern for the guests. I had the clams , they were deliciously cooked. As a dessert, I had homemade Tiramisu, so good. Ristorante Pizzeria Luca is well worth a visit.

I don't often share negative reviews, but the food was ok and we had to wait a very long time for it. They also forgot to write down a tablemate's order, so we all got our food served at different times, with no apologies. The service was poor (disinterested) and inconsiderate. The tables are so small that you barely have room to eat. We also had to wait a long time for drinks and my husband received a bottle of beer (he was the BOB) that he had not ordered and still had to pay for because it had already been opened. He had ordered a meat dish (chateaubriand) that was served under a very thick layer of sauce, which made it unappetizing. A waste of a nice piece of meat. When he said something about it, the waiter pointed to the menu and said that that's how it should be, but you wouldn't expect so much sauce that the meat was clogged, especially for that amount. In short, absolutely not recommended. The only thing that was pleasant was our company. At the end of the evening you pay €200 and the waiter and bartender are so busy talking (flirting with each other) that they don't even bother to say hello when you leave the restaurant.

Chateaubriand in Special sauce was really good. However, it would be nice to include a side dish for the price you pay for (31€ x 2). Prices are a bit high, 6€ for bread and butter and 8€ for not homemade chocolate soufflé, which was actually a chocolate fondant.

Lovely place, really good Italian food! For me the best in Haarlem. I miss the old boss, unfortunately he passed away. His family are doing well, despite the crowds sometimes.

Were served by an older man (reminds me of a typical “nonno”) and young woman who made sure our service and food were good throughout the meal. The gentleman even added a piece of cardboard under our table when he noticed it was wobbly. The food and atmosphere were very comforting after a day of travelling.

I went to see the city gate and found the Luca restaurant and Luca at the gate. I asked him for a Peroni, because he was dry from walking for several hours. We chatted for a while "about beautiful Italy." The boy is very kind. I had a couple of beers and he bought me one!!!
