Roopram Roti in Oude Pijp

We ordered roti with tempe (vegetarian). We got dry roti without sauce. It came with 2 potatoes and lots of beans/long beans? I understand that the vegetarian version is sometimes different, but you really can't sell a roti without sauce. What on earth are we supposed to use the plate for. Really bad and a shame. The taste was good, but roti with dry vegetables?

2 measly pieces of chicken in a bara with chicken for €9.20 and I still have to pay extra for pepper and sour???

Suriname taste with euro price What I got the chicken roti that came with string beans and potatoes. It looks like the chicken is not much but it was enough for the meal. (Balance?). Everything was very good. Not super salty but super tasty. Environment Quite a small restaurant, there is not much seating inside, I can see that this could be more of a take out restaurant. But it is cozy enough to dine in which is what I did. There is a bathroom and also a sink once you are done digging in with your fingers. Niceness of the staff Very nice guy. Very patient to explain the menu to me as I try to decide what I want to eat, if not everything. Dollar It was 13-15euros for the meal, which is decent for NL I assume. Can't compare with Suriname pricing which is way cheaper. Yes I would yes. Trusted brand

Disappointing, little meat (2 pieces), little sauce and little potato. Not what I'm used to from Roopram.

Ordered food for delivery. The Bara was microwaved; probably went a little too quickly, because the edges were bone dry and hard. The roti chicken had a bland taste and was poorly packaged - everything had started to leak. No success..

The man who runs this place exudes care and generosity. It makes the food, which is already delicious, that much better. The roti roll with aubergine, green beans, and potato was perfectly balanced and had a warm spice. I also enjoyed the bara and he brought extra sauces to make sure I had enough sauce for the whole thing. Coconut cookies are also a treat. I felt so well taken care of and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

So yesterday I came to the roopram in the south after a long time. It had gotten really bad there for a while, stomach ache from eating, strange taste in the sauce of the roti and I hoped that this had changed, but that turned out not to be the case in East Amsterdam, never had these problems. Very unfortunate because in south Usher it is never as busy as in the east. Better wait in line longer.

Tasty but expensive small portions

After advice from colleagues, I thought: I'll see for myself whether I like Roopram Roti Van Waowstraat. but personally I find it very disappointing. I ordered a roti roll on 28-11-2024, and it was ready within 2 minutes (which I find strange) and I also like my own roti roll much better than at Roopram. next time you can cook it yourself at home.

Bad, I don't just write this. 1 x roti chicken fillet was 9.50 5 years ago. Now 13.00. And in addition, the portions have become much smaller. A typical example of a restaurant that serves good food. And prices itself out of the market. To get full now, you have to order at least 1 extra roti chicken fillet for 18 euros. I still think it's a lot of money for a takeaway... And yes, I am a real Amsterdammer, but Warung Mini is better around the corner. I think I came to Roopram for 10 years, but I think the price is way too expensive for what you get nowadays. The quality of roopram is good, to be honest. But the portions have become very economical and the price has gone up considerably without it. Tip: I don't mind paying more, but don't cut back on the portions, give generous portions!! Then everything will be fine! 😃

This time I went to Roopram Van Woustraat and I was completely happy! Delicious food, meat, gravy, potatoes and vegetables well seasoned. Great weather! I will come to this branch from now on.

Tasty roti, but bizarrely small portion. 1 tablespoon potato and 1.5 tablespoon beans. A bit strange for 14 euros. There is little Surinamese about this Dutch sparseness

Food is as always delicious/excellent, one of the best Rotis I have eaten. The place is located in one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam. You can also eat inside, but it's just standard, don't expect much. Staff can be friendly, a bit nonchalant, but that's because they know they probably have the best Surinamese food. Overall 100% worth it.

Maybe it was a coincidence, but I visited on October 2, 2024 and there was a really bizarre, dirty, penetrating toilet smell in the store. Like you were eating in the toilet. It smelled like diarrhea instead of roti.

Best Roti in Amsterdam. On the more expensive side but definitely worth it. Outside of the rush hour, the service is usually fast.

The flavors are still on point, but when you’re paying that much, you’d expect at least enough food to last through one episode of your favorite show. Roopram Roti: where the prices went up, the portions shrunk, and the tropical vibes got lost somewhere in the shuffle. This is simply THE BEST roti in the South. Of course for takeaway or ordering because the atmosphere is aimed at a quick bite. There is often a line, but it is definitely worth it.

Roopram was known as one of the best roti in Amsterdam. Nothing left. Order 2x roti chicken fillet extra, the only thing extra was boullion with my chicken. Potato too salty. Chicken was dry and seemed to be swimming in broth. And to top it all off, they forget to give me a roti plate. How bad. Never again

Uber eats - delivered open and a mess

Not worth the money anymore. Too expensive for extremely little food. unfriendly gentleman behind the counter. I think they can close.

Delicious roti, actually only get it at one other place; if I were in the west. Furthermore, I haven't tried other rotis for years because I know they can't match it. Doesn't it say enough when it is so busy there every day that the line sometimes starts outside and they also have a Roopram in Suriname? Oh and people with allergies or dietary requirements; The roti plate is also made here. So no person who looks at you questioningly from behind the counter if you want to know whether a certain ingredient is in a dish.

I was with my girl at a Thai massage, a few doors down. After this visit we were a bit sleepy and hungry. I hadn't eaten a roti in a while. My partner had a roti with fish and pepper. I myself had a roti with chicken. I'm not a roti specialist, but this is very tasty! If I'm going to eat roti, which isn't often, I'll go there.

Best roti really, I don't know anyone else who makes it so tasty. However, the price is a bit on the expensive side. But still very tasty!!! Recommended

What terrible service! No line. Everyone just walks in and orders. Then the roti roll chicken. I could literally count my chicken and potato, a total of 3 pieces of chicken breast and potato and the rest a few pieces of long beans on a tepid rotivel. It was not a Surinamese roti. If you go back and say something about it, the man behind the counter says that I'll just take it. Never again!

Too bad Roopram Missed opportunity Came all the way from Deventer Waited about 45 minutes for my order. No pepper with the roti when I got home. Roti chicken extra was not. Just two pieces of meat Never before have I had to wait 45 minutes I paid at the parking machine at 7:00 PM until 7:20 PM Had to restart the parking session until 8:03 PM Bad start to the year For now they don't see me anymore

Yummy first experience for Surinamese-Dutch cuisine. The chicken roti or meal (basically a deconstructed roti wrap) was such comfort food, with a mild (curry?) chicken with green beans and potatoes. Giving 4 stars because service was very, very slow even when there was practically noone else. Would hesitate to come here to a meal if you don't have a lot of free time.

Identifying what to order was a bit difficult because the menu is only in Dutch. When you place your order, you'll get a paper with which you'll get your order; you have to stand in the queue to get it. The food tasted nice and the restaurant got a lot of customers.

Never had Surinamese food. To be honest I had OK expectations based off the photos but I was completely wrong. One of our favorite meals in Amsterdam. My wife and I made it a mission to walk 30 minutes here on our last day in Amsterdam. Just to eat here one last time. We ordered the roti rol and roti met kip. Well deserved 5 star rating.

Wij bestellen minimaal 1 keer per twee weken bij Roopram Roti. Af en toe een roti rol maar meestal een vega & een originele portie met kip. Smaakvol en super snel!

Fui a este porro dos veces, y cada vez la comida fue absolutamente increíble. A veces hay una línea porque es muy popular, pero va bastante rápido y la espera no es larga. En ambas ocasiones no salí pero comí allí: no es lujoso, pero hay un baño limpio y todo lo que necesitas. La elección de la comida es amplia, solo probé el menú roti hasta ahora, con pollo, cordero y pato. El nivel es tan alto que hace que quieras probar todo lo que está en el menú. Los precios son muy razonables. Probé otros pero no hay absolutamente ninguna comparación. Una visita obligada en De Pijp!

Klein eettentje in Amsterdam met vriendelijk personeel. Ze werken met een eerst betalen dan afhalend systeem. We hebben drie roti besteld waarvan een met kip en twee met kipfilet. Helaas waren ze het eitje vergeten. Je kan het beste op tijd hier komen want de drukte kan groot zijn. Het is niet een gezellig restaurant om te eten maar meer om af te halen.

Als je een lekkere roti wilt eten moet je bij Roopram zijn. Vergeleken met het filiaal in oost zijn hier de rijen korter.

Paar jaar geleden hier Rotti gehaald en nu weer eens terug. Ik vond het deze keer middelmatig. Kip matig gekruid en vond de prijs/kwaliteit/kwantiteit minder.
