I was so disappointed with that saoto of theirs . I might as well dissolve a mango cubes in water is much better than that saoto.

I have never eaten a Nasi that was this bad. The Nasi was overcooked the whole food tasted and smelled burnt. When I called the restaurant they were like oh ok thanks for the feedback. If you had asked someone from New Zeeland to make Nasi I would bet that it was better than this. This place has a very high rating on Uber, watch out! And please don’t sell products that you can’t make.

Very tasty, good portion and good price quality

Had a really delicious meal last night. We enjoyed it so much that we took two more portions with us to Twente for tonight. Helped by a very friendly lady. Great tent! We will definitely come back when we are in Amsterdam again.

Getting worse and worse! Too often when taking away, the order is not complete and sometimes the portions are very small. The taste of the saoto is often good but also regularly burnt. And are you really going to sell Conimex prawn crackers?! Shame!

Much too expensive for what you get. Mini sandwich for more than 5 euros. The quality and freshness are also disappointing.

Very delicious and fulfilling food. The place is a little small, so I do recommend take-out or delivery. There were a few vegetarian options, but not that many. There was also only a Dutch menu available, so it was hard for me as a tourist to translate the menu. Overall, great service and food.

Service is 0.0. I order and half of what I ordered has not been delivered. Then I call the company and they can't do anything for me because they have "no delivery people", they don't come up with a solution and they leave you suffocating. Plenty of other good places where you can get your food where you will at least be served well.

Ordered food last Tuesday, what a disappointment, nothing was tasty, saoto soup was tasteless, lots of salt and black pepper, bakabana was hard and old, roti was also in bad time for another chef, a waste of my money, I threw everything away, it was really inedible.

This is my favorite place to get Saoto! The people who work there are also very friendly

The best saoto soup💃 roti is less. You have to get roti from the Hindustani. And saoto among the Javanese, so here ❤️

We found this place because it was recommended by A redditor. It's a hidden little gem. Locals eat there. We were the only tourists. We ordered nasi rames, roti roll with lamb, saoto with egg. The portions were generous. All three for 32 Euros. It's enough to feed 2 adults 2 teens. The roti roll was gigantic and filled with lots of meat. The sambal chili was good. The place is no frills with limited seating. But food was good and the price were super reasonable. The lady owner was friendly. Please note that they do not accept credit cards.

As a Hageneesian I stopped by here. And boy, did it smell good. The sandwiches were tasty and well filled. The next time I come here, I'll come for all the other delicacies. And people, if you complain about the delivery. You live in Amsterdam. Lobi and see you next time!

Tastiest saoto! A year later: still very tasty, but pricey! The bag of the saoto was also spoiled once, I found out when I had thrown everything into the soup. I would have gotten my money back.

Delicious nasi rames and bakkeljauw, authentic flavors, clean, fresh and friendly. Highly recommended if you want to eat original Surinamese 🙂

Soato soep is gewoon 🔥. super goed en werkelijk wil je hier non stop voor terugkomen. Voor de mensen die hier nog nooit soato hebben gehaald: Ik voel de leegte die jullie hebben.

Eten tot nog toe altijd heel erg lekker en ook heel redelijke porties. Echter wel elke keer halfwarm bezorgd. Bezorger (via UberEats) gaat dan ook steeds éérst andere bestellingen doen, dat schiet niet op natuurlijk. Probeer het nog 1 x, anders toch maar elders bestellen...

Klein restaurantje met vriendelijke service, heerlijke saotosoep en rijstgerechten. Afhalen of gelijk opeten aangeraden ivm afkoelen van eten.

Roti kip besteld. De bezorging was er drie kwartier na het geplande tijdstip nog niet, gebeld en het zou er binnen een paar minuten zijn. Uiteindelijk nog een half uur gewacht. De roti was helaas koud, portie matig voor wat je betaald. Smaak prima maar heel weinig kouseband, vooral veel aardappel. De kip was echt mega droog! Jammer, niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Best barras with the best sauce in town, idc what anybody says

Vandaag 2 x rotirol besteld en 2 baka bana met pindasaus. Er zaten hele harde stukken van de rotiplaat in de rol, die je niet kon eten. De baka bana was oud en droog. Jammer, niet lekker gegeten. Was toch €24.

Halal food; came across this place by accident and had a food orgasm. Soup was super delicious and their curry chicken was different from what we were expecting but it tasted awesome. All food tasted fresh and was very delicious. English menu would be an advantage.

Ik heb nog nooit zulke pittige eten gehad, heel extreem ik kon niet van me eten genieten vroeger gebruikte ze niet zoveel peper dat maakte het eten veel lekkerder

Heel lekker eten en een fantastische service! Een keer waren ze iets vergeten bij de bestelling te doen. Ze kwamen het binnen een half uur brengen terwijl het buiten hun bezorgd gebied lag.

For some reason this place consistently has the best vegetarian nasi we've ever had. Very comforting and fresh food. The bara is also nice and fluffy.

Verdienen echt een pluim!...eten is echt lekker...Saoto is de bom. Eindelijk iemand die weet hoe je een fatsoenlijke pom moet maken!...en niet te veel suiker er in smijt! En echt alles is met zorg verpakt super netjes. Bestel echt nooit meer ergens anders!

Lekkere sauto, niet te zout en goede portie. Laat 1 tot 2x in de maand van hier bezorgen, altijd goed!

Was vaste klant,eten is prima maar bij afhaal zo lang moeten wachten ten faveure van alle ubertjes en thuisbezorgd bezorgers dat ik wel even klaar ben met deze klantonvriendelijke manier van doen

Had via thuisbezorgd besteld en deurbel ging niet af. Bezorger op en neer naar t saotohuisje gefietst om te zorgen dat mijn eten toch nog op tijd kwam. En dan ook nog heerlijk gegeten!!

Serieus sinds 30 jaar niet zo een heerlijke roti kip gegeten. Veel kip veel kousenband en eindelijk weer eens roti zonder sloot saus.

Toen ik erg onhandig mijn soep liet vallen, kreeg ik gratis een nieuwe en wat een heerlijke soep was het! Hartelijk bedankt!
