I had a nice dinner at Restaurant Rouhi - the buns were definitely my favorite, and that miso soup was a total surprise in a good way. But man, the service was kinda crap. Felt like it was run by a bunch of kids with zero hospitality experience. It's December, I'm freezing my mittens off, so I ask for hot water. The waitress straight-up laughs at me and then judges me for it, like "Why no ice? Everyone wants ice!" Uh, really? That's no way to treat customers. The vibe was all wrong too - felt like I was eating in a shopping mall with those super bright lights. Not cozy at all. They're closing in a few weeks, so fingers crossed they hire some nicer staff when they reopen.

Overall liked the atmosphere and service was quite polite. We made the reservation and got the place for the same day. The toilet was an experience itself (loved the little towels) and you can def see Rituals vibes all throughout the place. It is right in the center of Amsterdam (would not recommend coming with the car though).

The soup was okay and the burger was tasty. The salad was fine as well. However, the main dishes were disappointing. The “crispy chicken” was just a chicken skewer with no crispiness at all. The dish listed as calamari turned out to be octopus pieces, which is not the same. Overall, the fusion of flavors didn’t work for me and was quite disappointing. Neither the menu nor the service reflects Rituals in any way. It doesn’t fit the concept of the House of Rituals at all.

With quite high expectations, we made a reservation for 8:00 PM on December 23, 2025. The decor was what you'd expect from Rituals. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. The menu looked good, but the explanation could have been a bit more detailed. What was strange and irritating was that we were asked to order the main course at 8:30 PM because the kitchen was closing (we had just started the appetizer). When we left at 9:30 PM, we really felt like we'd eaten at a fast-food restaurant, but we'd paid for a decent restaurant! Not an experience we'd want to repeat anytime soon.

The food itself was excellent, and the chef truly deserves recognition for the quality coming out of the kitchen. However, the service was unacceptable. The waiter who served us literally dropped the plates on our table as if throwing them, did not explain anything, ignored our questions, and walked away without a word. This kind of behavior goes far beyond poor service — it felt disrespectful and careless. It was obvious that the waiter was unhappy and completely uninterested in doing the job properly. A restaurant serving food of this quality should not tolerate such an attitude on the floor. If someone cannot treat guests with basic respect, they should seriously reconsider whether hospitality is the right profession for them.

Cozy and pleasant restaurant with a nice atmosphere, but I was quite disappointed by the vegan main dish. We ordered the cauliflower, which felt rather average and lacked depth. It seems the kitchen excels more with meat and fish dishes than with vegan options. I’m pescatarian, and the fish starter I had was enjoyable, but the vegan main could really benefit from more creativity and the addition of a proper plant-based protein.

We stumbled upon it by chance and didn't regret it for a moment. Because we hadn't made a reservation, there was still room at the bar, which is specifically for two people. Cocktail Rituals is highly recommended. VG: shared dumplings. HG: the beef cheeks were super tender and delicious. Crispy on top and beautifully presented. HG: smash burger with mature cheese and crispy bun fries are included in the price, along with a sauce. DS: papadum with a pistachio crispy cookie base, powdered sugar, and pink peppercorn. It was surprisingly delicious. We shared this one too. The service was excellent, and the mixologist knew his craft and all the tricks of the trade. Which is a nice bonus when you're sitting at the bar.

I have mixed feelings about this place but won’t recommend at all. Please choose one of the thousand other restaurants around. The staff were impolite, snobby and I felt discriminated. It was a bad dining experience because of the waitress behaviour. Not only us but I felt that with other foreign guests around us too. Food was very good, no complaints. But the waitress and service staff made it a very very unpleasant experience. Disappointing, please train or warn your staff as I read many similar complaints here.

Super mixed reviews here. Sometimes it’s great other times the energy is super off. They did serve me gluten before when I was there with a group and specified I’m highly allergic. Other times they’ve been really good with it 🤷♀️. I guess depends on the day. It’s a beautiful space so just be careful if you have allergies and double check.

Ik kreeg veel te veel ijsblokjes in mijn drankje! De smaak sloeg nergens op, echt jammer ik gaf het aan, ene van personeel wilde ons helpen en een compensatie voor het doen maar de leidinggevende vond het niet nodig is en ze zei: Dat veel ijsblokjes erbij horen?!

Beautiful restaurant in a great location with a delicious menu. It's a shame the glassware isn't up to par with the rest of the ambiance. The chairs and carpet are also in dire need of a good cleaning (see photos). Hopefully, they'll read this and fix it. It's a small effort, and such a shame for such a lovely restaurant.

Decent food, but an unpleasant feeling of being ripped off. The bento menu is €30 on the outside menu, but €32 on the inside menus. The server doesn't seem concerned about the problem. Furthermore, this menu lists two yakitoris, but only one is served. That's how it is, according to the server.

I jumped in for a spontaneous lunch at Rouhi out of curiosity, and I’m so glad I did. I had the ramen chicken soup, and it was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve tried! The chicken was incredibly tasty, and the presentation was on point. I’m definitely coming back to try more of their dishes next time.

Qué horror. Por dónde empiezo. Uniformes sucios y manchados, alfombras y mesas sucias e incluso había heces manchadas en las paredes del inodoro. Y luego está la comida. We had been here before and were looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up a lot and the quality of the food has gotten a lot worse. The veggie buns were filled with a kind of bean stew that looked more like baby food than a normal filling. The gyozas with chicken were very moist on the inside, almost as if the chicken wasn't cooked. They also tasted like they came out of the freezer. The staff is completely understaffed. It took a really long time before we got the bill. Otherwise not unfriendly. We spent €100 for three people (lunch) and ate very little. Coke €4. The restaurant has a nice interior, but unfortunately that's where it ends. We won't be back.

Today 24 05 2025 I sit down and two staff members (in green) give me looks as if I am unwelcome, one even gives me a look as if he wonders what I am doing here. I got up. Now I am at Paik's Noodles.

First thing to know, all the meat is halal except for the chicken gyoza. We had several dishes that were all more or less good. The dishes I do not recommend are the Forel Gyoza Cracker and the Salmon Gravlax. The cracker was not interesting at all in terms of taste and texture. Really bland. The gravlax was not sweet enough and was very dry. Now for the positives: the beef tartare was the best tartare I have ever eaten. It is served on a bone and has a wonderful smoky taste. The chicken skewers and the bao are worth the detour. A friend ordered the Rituals special cocktail (the restaurant belongs to Rituals right next door!) and was very disappointed by the presentation and the taste, she said that it could be more elaborate because it lacked originality. I still recommend the restaurant for the service and the tartare!

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and centrally located. Most of the staff were perfectly lovely, albeit disorganized, with the exception of the young lady who brought us our food. We were seated by one nice young lady, who provided us each with a food menu and a beverage menu, and left us to look over the options. The same lady came back to take our order, and when we went to order food, were told they were only serving "Bar bites," and asked "has anyone talked to you about the menu?" As she was the only one we'd interacted with... the answer was no, but no big deal. We quickly readjusted our order, and I pointed to the bar platter with 3 veggie items, but apparently she thought I'd pointed to the "regular one" (changing my order from 2 veggie dishes to a platter full of meat options). A second, rather unpleasant, lady brought the food over when ready. First, I noticed that the bao are not actually standard bao, but more of a mantou, with what should have been the stuffing served in a separate dish for you to spread ON the bun. No big deal overall, but should not be advertised as a bao. Second, when I recognized that I was being served a platter of meat, I attempted to injerject into the unpleasant woman's explanation of the dish to explain that I had requested the veggie one, but she just kept talking over me, and then rudely snapped "this is what you ordered, the bar platter." Thinking perhaps I had misread the menu, I asked if there was an option with kimchi dumplings and an edamame salad, and the woman again spoke over me, insisting to know who had taken our order, then stormed off to "talk to her manager" and see if I could get the non-meat option. After 5 mins or so, the same lady came back over to say that she "was getting 2 different stories, and didn't know who to blame," and when I said that's okay, we'll just take the bill for what we had so far and call it a night, she insisted that she'd "fixed it, and the food was already being made." She was seemingly more concerned with who was to blame for the mixup, and letting me know that I was wrong for daring to ask to not have a platter of meat, and just would NOT stop talking over me/trying to explain her frustration. After all was said and done, the food ended up being underseasoned and overpriced

Despite a disagreement over the reservation for 11 people, the staff did everything to find a solution to accommodate us, two separate tables, but no matter: Culinarily, this address is really worth the detour, everyone, without exception, is won over. I was the only one to ask for the oyster mushrooms: what a discovery, excellent! We may regret the addition of excess salt which we are not used to in France, but it is only a cultural difference. The service was ADORABLE! Thank you for this excellent moment.

Very much overpriced, even for a restaurant in the center of Amsterdam. Paid 7€ for a matcha that 1) did not taste like a matcha 2) was veryyyy small in portion. Food was good, but felt like it was frozen products (we had the chicken dumplings and the Japanese stew bao buns). The terrasse is nice.

The food here is really fantastic, but purely because of the horrible experience we will never come back here. We were able to make a reservation at 8 p.m. on Friday and arrived on time. Once at the table, the menu and wine list were brought. When the waitress came to take our drink (a bottle of wine), she immediately asked (after being in the restaurant for 5 minutes) what we wanted to eat. We indicated that we would have to take another look and also asked the waitress to explain the concept. We ordered 2 courses with various dishes. When we were halfway through the 2nd course, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else to drink and she sold us another bottle of wine. After all the plates were removed from the table, the moonlight came on and the music turned off. 1 minute later the assistant manager (she couldn't have been older than 20) came to tell us that we had to pay because they were closing and otherwise the personnel costs would be too high. We indicated that we had only received the main course not long ago and were not even asked for dessert. After all, it was only 10:10 PM on Friday. A bill for €200 (without dessert and coffee) presented in fluorescent light is not exactly a positive ending to your evening. The manager became extremely rude and even stomped off to the kitchen in the middle of the conversation. Here she was rude to (as it seemed) another manager. We heard her entire conversation and found this very disrespectful. The other manager calmly came to the table and at least apologized. He insisted that he would make us another dessert on the house. We then ate this in the fluorescent light without any atmosphere and with great reluctance because the fun and relaxation were gone for us. TIPS: - at this catering level it is inappropriate to make such statements about personnel costs to guests (especially if it is only just after 10 p.m.). After all, they are also the people who pay your salary. You have to manage the balance behind the scenes and not let the guest suffer. - if you close at 10:00 PM, it is certainly not advisable to open your reservation online at 8:00 PM. - if you want to close at 10:00 PM, it is advisable to serve the dishes faster so that guests also have time to eat them quietly. - if you want to close at 10:00 PM, it is certainly not nice to sell another BOTTLE of wine just before you want to close. We had both only had a sip of this bottle. - I would not employ the assistant manager for another day as she cannot add any meaning to the word hospitality. Too bad...the basic dishes and decor seemed so nice.

we went with the children in the afternoon for tea and 1 hot chocolate after which we asked for 2 margarita cocktails and when I saw that it was without lemon I asked for 2 slices of lemon and 1 teaspoon for the chocolate they replied that they did not know if there were still teaspoons and the lemon they first brought me 1 and when I saw that I asked for another slice of lemon because there were 2 cocktails the waiter put lemon on my plate with his hands after he had just finished it clearing the table, I asked to change it and they gave me some old lemon. I asked for other new slices, they gave me 2 more slices without the skin, ridiculous….

We wanted to be fooled by the beauty of the environment and have a nice dinner, but it was a stressful experience for a couple with a baby like us. Because they said there was no baby care room. We thought it would not be appropriate to change diapers in that environment, and we had to change diapers in the toilet in order not to disrupt the environment. Since there was no suitable place, we had to take care of our baby on a piece of cardboard standing in front of the door. My advice is to install one of those wall-mounted plastic baby care plates in both men's and women's toilets. If the parents' problem is solved, I'm sure they will choose this place to spend more time.

New place in town so had to try it! An honest review: the staff is undertrained, they wanted to take the plates while we didn’t even finish them, forgot to bring water that we ordered, and presented the food wrongly (“here is your tartare” while we ordered the lamb stew. She had no idea what she was serving). On top of that, she asked for tip at the end before I even paid, a no-go. Now the food: - Chicken Yakitori was great - Edamame Salad was way too salty - the Lamb Stew is a dish that I honestly didn’t understand. It’s a strange mix of flavors and makes no sense in my opinion. - the Miso Soup was very good, even-though the waitress didn’t pour out all the soup that was in the pot. All in all, a place with potential but it needs really a manager that puts things in place and that trains the staff on details. The menu and food needs some changes.

The ramen is a definitely NOT. But the steak tartare and the hot chocolate are quite nice. Chicken ramen is terrible Yakitori, chicken dumplings, and lobster dumplings are all good, as good as microwave food. Raw beef tartare, salmon and hot chocolate are good The service attitude is very embarrassing. Not bad but a bit disdainful?

Every visit brings a new level of frustration. You ask for poached eggs, they bring boiled. You sit down, and before you can even look at the menu, someone insists on taking your order. When you say you’d like to check the menu first, their enthusiasm vanishes. Later, you have to chase a waiter just to place your order. But today, they truly outdid themselves. We were a group of ten, and I was the first to leave. I went to the counter — not the table — to pay only my share. The waiter said he couldn’t do that and When I asked why, a woman suddenly appeared, introducing herself as the manager. She declared that she was too busy to take separate payments. I calmly explained that I wasn’t asking for separate bills at the table — I was at the counter, ready to pay. Her response was astonishingly rude and dismissive. She kept talking in a condescending tone, clearly irritated that I even dared to question her logic. My 3-year-old son, watching all this, asked, “Mom, why is she speaking like that?” — a question I honestly couldn’t answer. What made it worse was that while being openly dismissive toward me, she turned around and smiled politely to the woman behind me in line — saying “sorry” to her while ignoring me. It was hard not to feel that she was being extra rude simply because I’m not Dutch. The food is average at the best, overpriced, and absolutely not worth the attitude. Unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience, I strongly suggest staying away. I’ve lived and worked in many countries and met people from countless cultures, but I’ve never encountered anyone in hospitality as unprofessional and unpleasant as this waitress. While they may be short-staffed, it’s not the customer’s responsibility to accommodate their chaos . Being understaffed doesn’t excuse arrogance, — and at Eendracht, arrogance seems to be part of the menu.

I hope someone finds this useful, but I do not recommend this place. We sat at the table downstairs, but since it was a table for 4, waitress asked us to sit at another table for 2 (place was 1/3 empty at the time, but okay, not a problem). She sat us down at a table upstairs and gave us menus. Then we were waiting for like 15 minutes and nobody took our order, but people who came in after us were ordering. I went to the counter and asked if they can take our order and then another waitress said we should order via QR code. I do not know why she couldn’t tell us that at the begining. So we ordered via QR code and had to pre-pay our order. When we got our order, one person got it wrong (pouched eggs with bacon instead of salmon). I asked for replacement and the second time I got completely overcooked eggs. At that time I was already shaking and wanted to leave, but since I pre-paid and already lost 45 minutes of my time my friend went downstairs and asked for a new plate. Luckily third time everything was fine and waitress asked if I wanted a complimentary drink, which was kind. The whole experience all together was really not good, especially considering the prices. I think you should really pay more attention to customer service, the place was not even full and anyways there were so many problems. Also to all the customers I recommend you that you sit downstairs and don’t pre-pay.
