Very poor service, the young lady throws the plates on the table every time and then leaves... as if she doesn't want to work.

This afternoon, November 6th, at 4:04 PM, I ordered Lat Chap Ha (shrimp in sweet sambal sauce). Like so often. A while ago, Mong Kuo Ha was still on the menu. But this time, I think the chef forgot the sweetness, because the sauce, as you can see in the photo, was spicy—really spicy, or rather hot. We had finished everything, eaten a bit, and then stopped. We called the restaurant to say something had gone wrong this time. The young man on the phone simply asked if I could give my name so the staff member could serve the sauce sweeter next time. Yes, can you believe it? They'll definitely leave a note with your name at the cash register for a month until you come back. Even though I told them I wouldn't be eating this again tonight, we stopped immediately. No suggestion of a different dish like Babi or Phoe Yong Hai or anything else. No, just that next time you'll get the sweetest sauce... Bye!

All-you-can-eat concept. Varied choices. Something for everyone. You can place your order via your mobile phone through their website. Dishes arrive quickly. Drinks must be paid for separately. Please note that some dishes are not included in the all-you-can-eat rate and will incur an additional charge.

Delicious sushi, everything comes quickly. And friendly service at the entrance. The lemonades are a bit pricey. But despite that, we really enjoyed it.

Always good food 5 stars always very good

Ate on Sunday but since then my granddaughter and son have been seriously ill with vomiting and diarrhea. I am the only one who did not eat the sushi and I am therefore not ill, what a disappointment.

Annoyed when you show up without reservation, even on days it's basically empty. Charge for hanging your jacket, insist you buy expensive drinks, management is just rude. If you go for cheap food because it's all you can eat, eventually you end up spending more money for low quality. Avoid and just go to a real a la carte restaurant. Never going again.

Far too expensive, too little meat in a small container so not much to eat, I ordered nasi special, there were only pieces of meat in the nasi, I thought I would get a separate piece of meat with it but no and still paid 17.50, the food was good

The Chinees-Indisch dishes are doubtfull. The Chinese dishes are better. There's also sushi being served.

Sadly, it's not what it used to be. We used to eat here at least five or six times a year. But the last two times were the last. The staff literally throws food on the table, and the food isn't as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, the prices have also skyrocketed. Sadly, we won't be back.

We picked up food today. And it was all very disappointing. Everything used to be super delicious. We can't say that anymore. They won't be seeing us again.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. We ordered sushi and sashimi, along with some side dishes like cucumber salad and fried prawns and wakame. But for the four of us, it was really small and expensive! One container of wasabi, no ginger. Such a shame.

This place needs some serious training when it comes to their staff. I am coming here for the last 10 years and the quality of everything is just deteriorating, the staff being the rudest ones I have ever seen (especially the older ones who have been around for a while). No wonder the business for royal fooq is declining because there's no service left. Might as well hire robots.

I ate at Royal Fook Long yesterday, but what a disappointment. I've never experienced such a chaotic all-you-can-eat experience. We didn't even get our first round of sushi, because round two was already on the table before the first order arrived. After the first two rounds, the dishes were neatly cleared, but after that, they simply left everything behind, probably to discourage us from ordering again. Not only was the service terrible, but the drink prices were also ridiculously high: over €4.50 for a mini bottle of soda and over €9 for a large bottle of water. In short: once, but never again.

Only on the pricey side these days but the food is still great

Staff is very rude and not really into it especially the ladies. They literally throw the plates on your tables and get irritated quickly. I think it's great that you charge so much money for an all you can eat and the sushi is substandard. The price/quality ratio is totally not right. You should pay at most €20,- per person for this. My advice: avoid this place and find a better alternative in Amsterdam where you get good quality sushi and good service.

We were unfortunate with the waitress, who was really quite annoying. That aside, to be fair, the restaurant itself is good—the food is nice.

Bad experience. Unfriendly staff, no understanding for children at all. You have to take a drink per person, otherwise you still pay. Sushi was not worth it. We will never come back.

Friendly service and delicious food

The food was great but it took forever to arrive. I had gone on a Sunday evening, when the place was packed. It took them 2 hours to serve my order. I had to wait 15-30 minutes between each dish. The portions are small. My order of 4 dishes cost €42.

The food is really delicious and the service was super fast and very nice. We went 2 weeks ago and in the fall. Family also comes there sometimes. Regardless of all this, there is an important point. It is not clear whether it is really halal, something different was said on every visit. In the fall they said that beef was not halal and 2 weeks ago it was. It would be great to make clarity and certification visible about this.

Nice meal. Everything went wrong. Received dishes from other tables up to 3 times. Also did not receive what I ordered twice. What used to be 5 dishes per round has now become 4 dishes per round.

It’s a good sushi place although there may can some improvement done by the restaurant owner. Like the quality of the chicken can be better. Apart from that all is good.

We went out for dinner on my birthday, the plates of food were always banged on the table with an angry face by the same lady serving. Twice the requested clean glasses were not brought. My daughter received a bottle of drink with a dirty receipt stuck to it covered in sauce. And when paying, the lady in question was suddenly able to act friendly (with other people present) BAH! We have been here before, but after this very disappointing experience we will probably not go again.

My recent visit to Royal Fook Long was disappointing. The quality of the food has noticeably deteriorated. In addition, the staff was unfriendly, which negatively affected the dining experience. The restaurant uses an "all you can eat" concept of 2 hours with an ordering round, but with a strict time limit of 10 minutes per round. The wait time for each round was about 30 minutes, which was frustrating. Previously you could order 5 dishes per person per round, but this has been reduced to 4. I suspect the slow service is intentional to cut costs. It seems that Royal Fook Long focuses more on profits than customer satisfaction. Due to these problems we will not come back here again.

Wat een vreselijke ervaring, ik was er met mijn dochters voor mijn verjaardag. Het eten was lekker maar de service was verschrikkelijk. Alle drie een vies bordje toen we aan tafel gingen zitten. Bordjes eten werden met een boos gezicht hard op tafel gekwakt door een dame van de bediening. 2 keer werden gevraagde schone glazen niet gebracht. En mijn dochter kreeg een flesje water waar een vies bonnetje onder de saus aan geplakt zat. Voor mijn verjaardag werd er een vuurwerkfontijn in een glas op tafel gezet tijdens het dessert, slaat nergens op. En de dame die de bordjes steeds hard op tafel kwakte kon bij afrekenen ineens wél vriendelijk doen (waar andere mensen bij stonden, bah!) We zijn hier vaker geweest maar zullen waarschijnlijk niet meer gaan. Zeer teleurgesteld op mijn verjaardag.

De service was erg slecht en langzaam, we moesten 40 minuten wachten op de eerste ronde met sushi. Zelf navraag gedaan en toen pas kregen we het. Bij de derde ronde ging het opnieuw mis en moesten we er weer zelf om vragen. Kwaliteit van de sushi is ook achteruit gegaan. Kwam hier vaker maar zal er nu nooit meer heen gaan. De service is erg traag en matig, de prijs is te hoog voor wat je krijgt.

Definitely recommended, I have been here before and also picked up takeaway. I was very satisfied with both service and had no complaints. You do pay extra for drinks and certain sushi.

Very nice to eat here!! All you can eat is perfect here, but you have to pay for drinks yourself and there are dishes that you also have to pay for (if you want them of course). Everything else is chic and delicious. You can only choose 3 of the keys no longer (that was in small, it would be nicer if it was written a bit larger) I ate here for €42.50!

Picked up meal. The recipe for the Babi Pangang and the accompanying nasi has changed. Unlike before, I really didn't like either of them. This was a major disappointment for me and my table companions. So last time.

An employee was unfriendly, we were 4 people on the table and we ordered 4 chicken salads, she came she said don't order much otherwise you will be charged (bich) we pay for unlimited food we order what we want, so because of you 1 strr I wanted to report you to your boss, but I didn't want to ruin our evening because of your big mouth. (The boys' employees were friendly) The food was tasty, but not everything we ordered was delivered to our table.

It used to be a place where you could expect good quality and quick service, this granted them success. Now they gave up, quality dropped and service has become so slow! It took more than an 1h30 minutes for 2 rounds and some dishes never arrived. I'd be surprised if this place manages to keep it's popularity unless things change drastically

If your mobile phone's battery is dead, you are screwed, which means you will have to pay money and wake up hungry. You pay a high entrance fee per person. There is no discount for young children. You scan the barcode at the table and order from your phone. Whatever you ate in 2 hours. But their sushi is beautiful, delicious and fresh. Toilets are clean. Still I recommend it.

The concept is great, a unique price for small dishes to discover. We enjoyed ourselves this evening with new flavors and if we come back to Amsterdam we will happily come back to eat here 🎆🙏

Atmosphere was good. Service was fast but when we arrived the waitress was forcing us to take menu rather than ordering separately. In fact she was not leaving the table. The food wasn’t good at all, was fancy but may be one of the worst sushi’s I had.

Picked up a Poke Bowl today. I think there was half a tube of mayonnaise on it, which ruined the whole dish. Very unfortunate.

I have been a loyal customer for years together with my family and I am really very satisfied... but the prices are no longer about a combination menu and a small bowl of sushi 60 euros, I am very sorry, but I am still considering looking. to a slightly cheaper one. Because now we might as well eat at Ron Blauw's.

What would be a bad restaurant? The food is terrible, you are overcharged, and the service makes you upset. That sums up our visit to this place. They have no understanding of Japanese food. They put cream cheese on the sushi, and the sushi rice was lukewarm. They put sugar in the miso soup, while completely missing the kombu. We had to wait for an hour for the order. They started to clean up with bleach when we were still dinning. This made my food smells like bleach. I would avoid this place by any means.

They deliver your food to your table really quickly. I also think they are a bit nicer than most sushi places. Free parking in front of the door for 2 hours (such a blue zone)

June 2024, Used to live 'next' to them a few years back. The place changed a lot. But I think that their dishes improved as well. Not as cheap as it used to be but quality wise they made steps. I took away my dinner. Highly recommended.

Food tastes very nice but pricey

It took 2 hours to get my order. I spent 200 euros with them and the host I spoke to did seem to care and was quite rude!! No solution no apology just it is what it is. Really sad

Both à la carte and "all you can eat". Nicely decorated and super fast service. However, in my opinion very pricey. Dined a la carte. Very small portions, ultimately resulting in too little food for a lot of money.

Best all you can eat in the Netherlands

The Royal Fook Long was a good restaurant and had a good mix of Japanese, Chinese and a number of other east Asian foods and you could eat as much as you want but they operate a no waste policy, which is if you leave a course you get charged for it. It is not really a restaurant more of a dimly lit cafe the staff were very attentive and very fast.

Very nice restaurant! A friend of mine had made a reservation here just after I had been traveling around the world for five months. The food is really delicious. The sushi is very fresh and the lamb chops were really delicious. Highly recommended!!

Owner could smile more. Literally came there almost every week once, sometimes twice, and now I have had such a bad experience. That owner could be friendlier than his poker face and his staff could also learn not to throw plates or glasses hard on the table. Food is tasty sometimes and it is always the same.

Tastelessly expensive and not to be repeated

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the owner or manager here before it turned into a sushi place. I took four Chinese girls who were traveling in Amsterdam here. The owner/manager seemed pretty happy about it and spoke to them with a smile. After we ordered, he served us rice from a big bowl. He placed two big scoops of rice on each girl's plate and then formed it into a nice circle. When it was my turn, he just plopped one scoop of rice on my plate and didn't bother with the presentation. During the meal he came to talk to the girls for a few minutes, which was completely fine, but I felt like he was ignoring me. When I asked for the bill, he immediately turned to the girls and addressed them instead of me. Never made eye contact with me once.

Service has really deteriorated. Drinks are only placed on the table here and there, food is not even thrown on the table... apparently everything is about speed... personal contact 0%... No longer in proportion to what you pay. Fortunately, the food was still satisfactory.

Came here to eat at least 2/3 times a year. Booked again during the Christmas holidays after a year's break. Service was very fast, food was usually tasty. I was very shocked by the prices, I had not looked at this when booking, very stupid. Adults €42.50 increased by more than €12pp, kids were €19.95 regardless of age. While watching, my daughter pressed handmade lemonade, which cost €7.95 and came in addition to our other drinks. Own fault of course. You had to pay extra for many more dishes. For 10 people, including 5 children under the age of 10, we spent €400. Won't be back so soon. To be honest, I have often enjoyed eating here, especially because of the ease of ordering with the iPad Nu QR code, but I did not see such a price increase coming. From now on, just go to Zaandam to Tokyoto or Foody Kitchen, save €10 per person for adults and much more for children. Food is comparable and sometimes tastier and really all-in without extra costs.

Personally, I think this is one of the better all you can eat restaurants in Amsterdam. I think the taste and quality of the food offered is better than many other all you can eat concepts in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The orders come quickly and the tables are regularly cleared so that there is no mess on your table. It is a large restaurant with many people, which creates a massive atmosphere. Still, they do a great job with the decoration and layout of the tables to create a good atmosphere, but this is difficult if you want to accommodate 300 people in a restaurant. But I think if you choose an all you can eat concept you can expect this, but this is one of the better places to go and also free parking in the evening after 7 o'clock. Five snacks per round and five choices for desserts is fine. Of course the waiting staff is young but friendly in general and it is sometimes difficult to remain friendly because an all you can eat concept also attracts "tokkies" and they are not always friendly towards the staff, but I still had the idea that the staff remained friendly. I am posting this review after my third visit to Royal Fook Long, hence I feel I can give a good review.
