This place needs some serious training when it comes to their staff. I am coming here for the last 10 years and the quality of everything is just deteriorating, the staff being the rudest ones I have ever seen (especially the older ones who have been around for a while). No wonder the business for royal fooq is declining because there's no service left. Might as well hire robots.

I ate at Royal Fook Long yesterday, but what a disappointment. I've never experienced such a chaotic all-you-can-eat experience. We didn't even get our first round of sushi, because round two was already on the table before the first order arrived. After the first two rounds, the dishes were neatly cleared, but after that, they simply left everything behind, probably to discourage us from ordering again. Not only was the service terrible, but the drink prices were also ridiculously high: over €4.50 for a mini bottle of soda and over €9 for a large bottle of water. In short: once, but never again.

Staff is very rude and not really into it especially the ladies. They literally throw the plates on your tables and get irritated quickly. I think it's great that you charge so much money for an all you can eat and the sushi is substandard. The price/quality ratio is totally not right. You should pay at most €20,- per person for this. My advice: avoid this place and find a better alternative in Amsterdam where you get good quality sushi and good service.

The food is really delicious and the service was super fast and very nice. We went 2 weeks ago and in the fall. Family also comes there sometimes. Regardless of all this, there is an important point. It is not clear whether it is really halal, something different was said on every visit. In the fall they said that beef was not halal and 2 weeks ago it was. It would be great to make clarity and certification visible about this.

We went out for dinner on my birthday, the plates of food were always banged on the table with an angry face by the same lady serving. Twice the requested clean glasses were not brought. My daughter received a bottle of drink with a dirty receipt stuck to it covered in sauce. And when paying, the lady in question was suddenly able to act friendly (with other people present) BAH! We have been here before, but after this very disappointing experience we will probably not go again.

My recent visit to Royal Fook Long was disappointing. The quality of the food has noticeably deteriorated. In addition, the staff was unfriendly, which negatively affected the dining experience. The restaurant uses an "all you can eat" concept of 2 hours with an ordering round, but with a strict time limit of 10 minutes per round. The wait time for each round was about 30 minutes, which was frustrating. Previously you could order 5 dishes per person per round, but this has been reduced to 4. I suspect the slow service is intentional to cut costs. It seems that Royal Fook Long focuses more on profits than customer satisfaction. Due to these problems we will not come back here again.

Wat een vreselijke ervaring, ik was er met mijn dochters voor mijn verjaardag. Het eten was lekker maar de service was verschrikkelijk. Alle drie een vies bordje toen we aan tafel gingen zitten. Bordjes eten werden met een boos gezicht hard op tafel gekwakt door een dame van de bediening. 2 keer werden gevraagde schone glazen niet gebracht. En mijn dochter kreeg een flesje water waar een vies bonnetje onder de saus aan geplakt zat. Voor mijn verjaardag werd er een vuurwerkfontijn in een glas op tafel gezet tijdens het dessert, slaat nergens op. En de dame die de bordjes steeds hard op tafel kwakte kon bij afrekenen ineens wél vriendelijk doen (waar andere mensen bij stonden, bah!) We zijn hier vaker geweest maar zullen waarschijnlijk niet meer gaan. Zeer teleurgesteld op mijn verjaardag.

De service was erg slecht en langzaam, we moesten 40 minuten wachten op de eerste ronde met sushi. Zelf navraag gedaan en toen pas kregen we het. Bij de derde ronde ging het opnieuw mis en moesten we er weer zelf om vragen. Kwaliteit van de sushi is ook achteruit gegaan. Kwam hier vaker maar zal er nu nooit meer heen gaan. De service is erg traag en matig, de prijs is te hoog voor wat je krijgt.

Very nice to eat here!! All you can eat is perfect here, but you have to pay for drinks yourself and there are dishes that you also have to pay for (if you want them of course). Everything else is chic and delicious. You can only choose 3 of the keys no longer (that was in small, it would be nicer if it was written a bit larger) I ate here for €42.50!

If your mobile phone's battery is dead, you are screwed, which means you will have to pay money and wake up hungry. You pay a high entrance fee per person. There is no discount for young children. You scan the barcode at the table and order from your phone. Whatever you ate in 2 hours. But their sushi is beautiful, delicious and fresh. Toilets are clean. Still I recommend it.

What would be a bad restaurant? The food is terrible, you are overcharged, and the service makes you upset. That sums up our visit to this place. They have no understanding of Japanese food. They put cream cheese on the sushi, and the sushi rice was lukewarm. They put sugar in the miso soup, while completely missing the kombu. We had to wait for an hour for the order. They started to clean up with bleach when we were still dinning. This made my food smells like bleach. I would avoid this place by any means.

The Royal Fook Long was a good restaurant and had a good mix of Japanese, Chinese and a number of other east Asian foods and you could eat as much as you want but they operate a no waste policy, which is if you leave a course you get charged for it. It is not really a restaurant more of a dimly lit cafe the staff were very attentive and very fast.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the owner or manager here before it turned into a sushi place. I took four Chinese girls who were traveling in Amsterdam here. The owner/manager seemed pretty happy about it and spoke to them with a smile. After we ordered, he served us rice from a big bowl. He placed two big scoops of rice on each girl's plate and then formed it into a nice circle. When it was my turn, he just plopped one scoop of rice on my plate and didn't bother with the presentation. During the meal he came to talk to the girls for a few minutes, which was completely fine, but I felt like he was ignoring me. When I asked for the bill, he immediately turned to the girls and addressed them instead of me. Never made eye contact with me once.

Came here to eat at least 2/3 times a year. Booked again during the Christmas holidays after a year's break. Service was very fast, food was usually tasty. I was very shocked by the prices, I had not looked at this when booking, very stupid. Adults €42.50 increased by more than €12pp, kids were €19.95 regardless of age. While watching, my daughter pressed handmade lemonade, which cost €7.95 and came in addition to our other drinks. Own fault of course. You had to pay extra for many more dishes. For 10 people, including 5 children under the age of 10, we spent €400. Won't be back so soon. To be honest, I have often enjoyed eating here, especially because of the ease of ordering with the iPad Nu QR code, but I did not see such a price increase coming. From now on, just go to Zaandam to Tokyoto or Foody Kitchen, save €10 per person for adults and much more for children. Food is comparable and sometimes tastier and really all-in without extra costs.

Personally, I think this is one of the better all you can eat restaurants in Amsterdam. I think the taste and quality of the food offered is better than many other all you can eat concepts in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The orders come quickly and the tables are regularly cleared so that there is no mess on your table. It is a large restaurant with many people, which creates a massive atmosphere. Still, they do a great job with the decoration and layout of the tables to create a good atmosphere, but this is difficult if you want to accommodate 300 people in a restaurant. But I think if you choose an all you can eat concept you can expect this, but this is one of the better places to go and also free parking in the evening after 7 o'clock. Five snacks per round and five choices for desserts is fine. Of course the waiting staff is young but friendly in general and it is sometimes difficult to remain friendly because an all you can eat concept also attracts "tokkies" and they are not always friendly towards the staff, but I still had the idea that the staff remained friendly. I am posting this review after my third visit to Royal Fook Long, hence I feel I can give a good review.

Picked up dinner there this evening. The food was reasonable, but pricey. The Pangsit goreng was incredibly bad. Just a bag full of large pieces of fried dough, with maybe 1 or 2 shrimp total in it. Description of Pangsit goreng: Pangsit is the deep-fried version of wonton, small dough parcels filled with shrimp, chicken or (pork) minced meat. It is actually a Chinese snack, but where the Chinese steam this snack, in Indonesia it is baked or fried.

Gereserveerd voor kerst. Bij afrekenen geconfronteerd met €12,50 toeslag p.p. bovenop het op de site vermelde feestdagentarief. €55 voor een all you can eat staat niet in verhouding tot kwaliteit. Niet vermelden van dit speciale kersttarief (ook niet bij het reserveren!!) is op zijn zachtst gezegd niet netjes (achterbaks?) (bij doorklikken op site wat niet direct voor de hand ligt wordt ergens wel gezegd dat met kerst een speciaal tarief geldt - niet wat het bedrag is). Dan stoort het extra dat zeker vijf gerechten niet zijn geserveerd en dat twee keer eten zomaar is meegenomen. Reclameren heeft geen zin. Manager vindt het maar onzin. Doen duidelijk niet aan klantenbinding. Ondanks eerdere positievere ervaringen voor mij geen Royal Fook Long meer.

Hier vanavond geweest 1e Kerstdag. Het blijft voor mij een beetje een eetfabriek. Het bestellen gaat dmv een QR-code per tafel en dan kan je via de online betreffende pagina je eten bestellen. Je krijgt allemaal kleine hapjes. Er is veel keuze. Sushi, patat, Aziatisch gerechten en wat kleine Thaise gerechten. Opzich was het eten best oké maar ik vind de Thaise keuken elders wel echt vele malen beter. Dit is meer een veredelde Chinees maar wel van redelijk goede kwaliteit. Wel iets prijzig maar als je voldoende kan eten haal je dat er opzich vrij makkelijk uit. Drankjes wel wat aan de hoge kant zoals een cola voor €3,50 bijv.

Eten is prima. Maar ze mogen hun onredelijke beleid wel even aanscherpen. Kinderen van 0-3 jaar betalen 8,50€. In hartje Amsterdam Zuid eten kinderen bij Blue dragon van 1-3 jaar voor 5€. Dat zijn redelijke prijzen. Maar om een kind dat niet eet of amper eet (0-1 jaar) nou €8,50 voor te vragen? Echt van de zotte. Vind dit dus echt klantonvriendelijk. Pas je beleid aan en je zult zien wat het je zal brengen!

Het eten is prima, maar ik vind het ronduit belachelijk dat ik voor mijn dochter van net 1 jaar 8,50 moet afrekenen. We kwamen hier onderweg naar huis pas achter, want het personeel heeft dit ook niet tegen ons gezegd. Ze heeft over de avond niet meer dan 5 hapjes van mij gegeten. Als baby’s worden gerekend, is het wel zo eerlijk dat je dan gerechten meer krijgt per ronde en dat is ook niet het geval. Serieus, dit heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt bij een restaurant.

Kom hier al jaren en mijn conclusie is eigelijk dat het heel duur is geworden en dat de mensen hier niet vriendelijk doen. Ik doel niet op de bediening maar meer op de managers/eigenaars.

Good sushi and a big variety of asiatic cuisine. They have an interesting system, specially for groups, you pay a fixed amount and you can order how many dishes you want, with intervals of 10 minutes in between. The drinks are charged separately. Good option in the area!

I've been getting takeout from here for years, and I've never had anything bad. The staff is very friendly, and the food is ready very quickly (15 minutes).

I had fried Rice with beef. There were a few slivers of leek and carrot and a few pieces of meat and especially a lot of fried rice. Not so good for the price of 13 euros.
