I was there for an early dinner on a wednesday and we got a table right away without reservation (we were two). The service was alright - nothing outstanding. The food was very delicous especially the noodles (teppanyaki noodles with coccunut and curry I think), the curry (vegatsu) was flavor wise outstanding. I very recommend trying the cocktails. Nice resteraunt for a quick and tasty dinner with prices on the more expensive side.

The manager is not nice. Ruined our day.

I was falsely informed by the first waiter about what is halal and what isn’t. I was almost going to order the wrong dish due to this: which literally goes against my religious beliefs. Luckily, I asked a second waiter which dishes are halal and I received a completely different answer. I realized it’s completely untrustworthy. It is so shameful for a restaurant to treat such important questions by their customer with ignorance and insignificance. Besides, they weren’t even flexible in replacing noodles with a different type to compromise or adjusting the dish in any way. The dish that they recommend that’s halal would receive no sauce just because it is halal??? This policy is truly very non-inclusive. We are in the 21st century, the amount of chains that include halal options are insane. Either Wagamama is voluntarily holding back making it a non-inclusive branch or they lack ignorance which would be impressive. It is obvious that Wagamama is not an inclusive branch. Besides, the food is overpriced and is not made with half of the effort it should be made considering other asian branches. My money (and yours) is better spent elsewhere. Which is what I did.

I ordered a shrimp kimchi ramen, which is actually Tom Yum ramen. The flavor is ok, but not genuine ramen. However, when almost finished it, I saw a small insect in the soup.

Waited for my train here during the afternoon. It was very quiet, so I sat in a nice spot on the outdoor terrace. Service was efficient, but could have checked in outside just a little more often. Tasty drinks.

We had a delicious meal here yesterday! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We don't like spicy food, so they had an alternative sauce for us. Very quick service, so it is definitely recommended before a concert!

I’m a Wagamama regular in the UK and love the food and experience, but this branch at Amsterdam Zuid is a huge let down. The chicken was rushed and undercooked (soft pale breadcrumbs, meat not fully cooked through) the salad wasn’t fresh and bang bang cauliflower was mush. Staff inattentive and only check in when a meal is done. If you like Wagamama - don’t visit this one!

I’ve been bringing my tour groups to Wagamama for the past 5 years, and the experience has always been fantastic. The staff is friendly, specially Slavi , professional, and well-organized, even when handling large groups. The food is fresh, delicious, and offers something for everyone. My travelers always enjoy their meal here, and I know I can rely on the team to provide a great experience every time we visit. Vastly overpriced food with little to no flavour and overcooked. Typical chain restaurant that starts off ok until they grow or sell to a PE Firm or investor. No soul. If you are looking for asian food, look elsewhere. If you are not a foody, this place is fine. If food is important, go elsewhere.

Very disappointing, I was hesitant to eat there but I was hungry and wanted to eat something quick. I ordered Ramen, big mistake, the noodels overcooked and little taste. Paid 25 Euro for a bad ramen dish with a drink. Never again.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Though the benches are a little uncomfortable and the general atmosphere could be better (it's very much this corporate clean office aesthetic), we still felt comfortable. The food came out quickly, the portions are generous and the prices completely fine. What really stood out was the very friendly staff. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, only one stall per gender, with the lock of the male stall only working when you use lots of force. This wagamama is located right outside Amsterdam Zuid station, you pretty much cannot miss it. We chose this location because it was close to our hotel.

Delicious food and very friendly service. This restaurant definitely deserves a higher rating than it gets. 👌🏽 The dishes are perfectly seasoned, using natural spices, not pre-made sauces from the supermarket. 👏🏽 I highly recommend it.

Ordered the Tantanmen ramen and was good but my friend ordered the chilli ramen which wasn't great.

Unfortunately, I was still able to get in yesterday, even though I explained my allergies, which the service staff couldn't be held responsible for. The chef refused to cook my food! I know what I can eat, and we had a heated discussion! I'll never come back. What a shame!

My comfort food. Vegetarian Curry with rice and salad is a tasty option. Tea with fresh ginger is also great for cold weather. Place is well located and service is friendly and welcoming.

My favorite place! The food here is truly healing for both the soul and the body. Thank you to the entire team. What I found especially beautiful was that after paying the bill, I was able to personally thank the chef. When I arrived at the kitchen, I asked who the chef was, and the lady replied, “We are all one.” I knew she was the chef, but her humility made the moment even more special and showed how beautiful she truly is. From today on, I am a loyal customer.

The place is very spacious and pleasant, as are the staff, who were very helpful. The food, while not spectacular, was also tasty and reasonably priced for the area. I recommend the donburi with beef.

First time at this location. The ramen was somehow so much better than at Max Eeuweplein; I was pleasantly surprised. The service wasn't great and was very inexperienced, but that's a problem not unique to Wagamama. I'll definitely be back, hoping the ramen tastes the same.

I love their food and the vibe. Great for a chill and delicious lunch. Tried the donburi rice bowl with grilled duck and it was YUMMY❤️ Definitely come again to try other things.

Ordered Basil chicken rice. There was literally 2 spoons of chicken minced and a mostly rice. I paid 20 euro for that. Never again.

Hi, I am a regular customer for lunch and I love your food. When I asked yesterday when you are open in the evening, the answer was until 21.00. When I just entered at 20.30, I was told I could only get take-away as the kitchen was closing soon. I am very disappointed and am considering - despite the food - not to come again.

The restaurant was empty, yet it took a long time just to get a beer. I had to ask for it myself and even ended up bringing it to the table after waiting 20 minutes, and it was just a beer. Considering the place was empty, I do not recommend this restaurant. Although the food was good, be prepared to waste time because of the bad service!

The menu has seriously deteriorated, Fewer choices and the remaining choices are far worse (less ingredients, less tasty). After many years, I will stop visiting this restaurant.

I ordered my food with no spice, but they forgot and brought the spicy version. I asked for a replacement, and they just brushed off the chilli flakes and handed it back. Terrible service

Have been going to this chain for years and loving it. Experience this time was pretty weird especially from one server who really was keen for us to leave during closing hours, and was rather impolite about it. Food and drink orders getting mixed up, the firecracker chicken was far spicier than usual, but the service from the male server was absolutely terrible. Hope someone takes note and counsels your server team

I ordered vegetarian ramen, it was simply not good. I have eaten ramen at other branches of the chain, here it had a very strong turmeric flavor and no flavor. My partner ordered soup with grilled chicken. The soup was bland and disappointing. The service was reasonable. We were very disappointed

The worst food ever, if you wondering how terrible can food be, try this

I had the WORST ramen ever in this restaurant. They apparently don’t know how to make something proper: they don’t even use authentic ramen noodles. Instead they use something like rice noodles 😂😂😂 which is definitely wrong. The chicken and vegetables in it also taste weird; they taste like being getting out from some leftover, not fresh, and the seasoning is not integrated with the ingredients at all. Last but not least, the price is not low, almost 20 euro.. you can find better ramen in the city for a lower price. Don’t come here ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Rather annoying/dissapointing experience here. Went for lunch as a party of 4, 3 of us got our food relatively at the same time. However the 4th dish never came, so we asked the waiter and without explaining us what went wrong, they said the dish will come. Another 15 minutes went by and still no food. Finally asked again and asked to have it for takeaway, which they accomendated but took another 15. In the end we spent over an hour, and one person from our party didn’t eat but took it back to office in a box. They did comp the one dish though, hence two instead of one star.

The food is always delicious and fast. It's just sometimes a bit difficult to get the staff's attention if you need something during or after your meal.

The food is nice. The staff however is rude, slow, incompetent and inattentive. Very unpleasant experience having dinner there. Staff literally hanging at the bar between the kitchen and the restaurant. It was not crowded at all, but I had to wait for quite a while for my food. Then when I wanted to pay none of the three waiters were paying any attention. After sitting with my coat on for a while I decided to pay at the bar. There the price was higher than expected, so I asked for the receipt. Waiter frowned and felt he had to mention that you usually get that after you pay, to which I replied that actually you get it before you pay, so you can check. Apparently they charged extra for a 'large' juice, whereas I asked for a medium juice. Waiter insisted he asked me small or medium, except they don't have small on the menu only medium or large... which I had to explain. Then he insisted to not charge the juice at all, not in a friendly or compensating way, but actually angry. After I told him I would gladly pay for what I ordered, he kept insisting in an angry and frustrated way that I would not pay for the juice at all. All just weird and unpleasant.

In Wagamama restaurants in the UK, have never had a problem ordering grilled chicken, instead of fried, with the katsu curry, or having no pickles in the salad. Here, no way. Pickles were mixed in with the salad and could not possibly be removed. When asked for the salad to at least come in a separate dish, lo and behold, the pickles were placed on top. Not mixed in.

We had a very large party and they did a great job managing us. Food and service were very good.

I have been going to Wagamamma for years, the ramen is always delicious. But unfortunately I have to express my disappointment about the portion size. What was once a full meal has now been reduced to a full price starter. Shrinkflation is clearly taking hold here. I feel ripped off.

I was here on a tour and they made sure that my meal was lactose free and even gave me a coconut ice cream after.

Everything was just mediocre. The noodle plate that we had could have used a little more spice or seasoning just to kick it up a notch.

The staff were very friendly, and the place is very nice, but the food was lacking, and the price-quality ratio didn't seem right. I tried the new rice noodle ramen, and I really don't recommend it; it was also spicy.

We had an amazing dining experience at Wagamama in Amsterdam! We started with the duck and squid appetizers, both cooked to perfection—crispy, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we enjoyed a mix of Pad Thai, ramen, and yakisoba udon, each dish packed with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. To top it off, we paired our meal with Grolsch, Raspberry Gin, and warm sake—a perfect mix to complement the food. Everything was satisfying, made us smile, and left our bellies full and happy. Great food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere—definitely a spot we’d come back to!

19 February 2025- 18:25: Hardly 10 people in the entire restaurant. Empty tables. I was still asked to move to a bench and asked to eat with my back turned to the restaurant. This kind if behavior is unacceptable for me in a fast food restaurant where people leave in 30 minutes. If it was full totally understandable, then I would come another day. Not a loss, but don’t forget people might want to eat something after a long work day and not be moved around in this context. Very hostile, hence left instantly

This time I ordered bapao with beef (they were a bit spicy) and steamed gyoza with chicken - amazing dinner for me! I also tried a good green tea. The staff is quick and polite.

Honestly, if you have no time and really, reaaaally, want asian food you could go here. It was the reason I did too. But I would recommend the 5 minute tram ride to the city centre and get way better and way cheaper food. The service here is fine and quick, but this place is simply overpriced, which just doesn’t make sense for a franchise restaurant. The food is OK at best but the portions are disappointingly small for the price you pay. For what it’s worth: I ordered the gochujang chicken rice bowl. It was tasty but I would never eat here again.

Pure fraud. The beef rib in the Ramen is suffering from an extreme form of shrinkflation. I even bought an extra beef rib for 5 euros and there was barely a tablespoon of beef in it and that for 23 euros was really shameless.

The atmosphere is good with very friendly staff, but the quality of the food is okay. It's more of a noodle soup than real ramen. I wouldn't pick that up again for the price of 18 euros. I even cooked extra noodles because there was not enough.

food- ordered pad thai. it was good but the menu had it labeled as spicy and that was false. i had to add a lot of extra spices but they had a house spice blend that was quite tasty. 0.6 drink- i got a beer. not house brewed. max 0.5 points, 0.5 earned service- wonderful. felt taken care of. full point atmosphere- it was good! the restaurant is very big and has a lot of windows that let you admire the business district. full point value- eh. you’re certainly paying for tourism and business district prices. that being considered, price is reasonable. about $30/person. 0.5 points total 3.6

The bao buns are pathetic. There’s nothing on them. The ramen was ‘just ok’ in taste but too little portions. That makes this restaurant far too expensive for less than mediocre food.

Really nice food and service especially for the price paid

Was craving some ramen so I decided to come by here as it was the closest place that offered it and will be the last time I’ll probably come here. The service was fine and had no problem with it as you order your food online with a QR code. The atmosphere was quite cozy and friendly which I also appreciated. Unfortunately the food was just bland. I had the chicken broth ramen and it was just not good. Broth had no flavor, chicken was dry, not many spices, just a lot of things left to be desired. It’s also on the more expensive side as I payed about 19€ for the bowl. Overall, nice location and relatively fast service, bland food

I remember it to be excellent in London 25 years ago. It was not busy. Still slow and not very charming service. Food was ok, not special. The atmosphere is very cold and boring. Would not go there again!!!

Food is really nice and tasty. Service is very fast and the people are really nice and helpful! Drinks are also nice and at a good price. The place was full around 5:30-6 so better book to be sure you get a seat for your group. Really nice experience overall

*No sushi on this one* Why one star. Well I walked in while they were still open however the server told me I had two minutes to order because they are closing in 30' rude on the get go. Then I asked for sushi, it was like I was talking in a foreign language. They don't serve sushi at all. Too bad wagamama they don't have global standards. On top of all the first server forgot to put the order in so I only got 2/3 of the order. When I complained to the manager he tried to cover for the error. Zero customer service. He said they are rushing the customers out based on the owners instructions. I think someone needs to mystery shop that location I suspect several franchise agreement violations.

We ended up popping into Wagamama while we were waiting for our hotel next door. Food was good and service was nice. Overall we had a good experience. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to a Wagamama, as I think their are local places that are better, but for a chain restaurant they have a stellar ramen.
