I recently visited ROYAL THAI restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish was fresh and beautifully prepared. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, everything was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great Thai food!

Amazing food we come here everytime we come to Amsterdam I strongly recommend if you are looking for great Thai cuisine.

The food was ok, but nothing special. I am giving one star for the way they treat their guests-ten or fifteen minutes after we had finished eating and drinking, we were literally asked to leave by a rude woman, who pointed to the people waiting in line. It’s been a first time I experienced such a service.

We walked into Royal Thai Amsterdam by chance, and it turned into one of our favorite meals of the trip. We were three people, and everything we ordered was delicious, the Pad Thai especially was incredible. But what really stood out was the service. The staff were so warm and welcoming that it made the whole experience feel special. Great food, even better people. Can’t wait to come back!

We ordered a fish and duck specialty, which were quite expensive, but that's worth it for a delicious meal. The fish dish was lukewarm and was reheated at my request. The fish was quite tough and didn't seem fresh. This dish was clearly not freshly prepared. There was also no sign of any cooking activity in the kitchen. A warm-up meal for a hefty price.

So delicious! Their Tom Yum soup is amazing, the satay chicken is so fragrant, and the milk tea is super tasty. Highly recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It left us speechless. I've been to Thailand, but this place far surpasses all other restaurants in Thailand. It's simply wonderful. Unique flavors that touch not only the palate but also the mind. To sum it all up in one word: Wow.

The menu has allergens marked clearly and there are lots of gluten free options or dishes that could be made gluten free. The waitress was really helpful and knowledgeable about allergens (e.g. starters not safe as they share the same fryer as gluten), and checked with the kitchen several times before I placed my order. The food was amazing and full of flavour. I didn’t ask about preparation methods in the kitchen but I felt absolutely fine after the meal!

I really liked the food. Better music, at least not European, could add to the atmosphere. Toilets....:(

So honestly the food was decent. We ordered the Thai spring rolls which were very good, the green curry chicken which was good and spicy 🌶️ (already advised by our server that it cannot be toned down for weaker palettes) and the the chicken pad Thai which was very average and too sweet for my liking. The portions of the food could have been better. But the biggest problem was that we waited for about 40 mins for the food, which was very unexpected for 2 main courses and a starter.

The menu offers a wide selection, portions are small, authentic and delicious, but completely overpriced. Service is attentive and friendly. On a Saturday night, the place is packed, so a reservation is absolutely necessary.

The food was great, the atmosphere was very cozy, the service was excellent, and there was a large selection of wine 🍷🌞. Small drawback: even though my dish was marked with a spice level of 1, I didn't notice any spiciness 😢. But a nice evening with good food shouldn't be spoiled by that ^^ During peak hours, one naturally has to wait for a table in a bustling city like Amsterdam. But even here, they took care of getting a table as quickly as possible. 😊 The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit! 👍🏼

We went already bit late for our friends’ two 4-year old and our baby daughter to Royal Thai, so not the standard guests. We were treated very nicely, every extra wish was fulfilled and the food was super delicious. We had meet, our friends ate vegan. Everything very nice. Will certainly come again. Thank you!

Really good restaurant, the best Thai in Amsterdam

For me and my companion, it wasn't truly authentic Thai food. No jasmine rice, but Vietnamese rice. The wait staff isn't from Thailand (which isn't necessarily the case), only the chef is from Thailand, according to the wait staff. Unfortunately, the appetizer was forgotten, but they apologized.

The restaurant is simple, but the food is delicious and the service is friendly and fast. We were very satisfied. The portions are very generous; there's absolutely nothing to criticize. Compared to other Asian restaurants in the neighborhood, this is definitely a very good place.

This is NOT a proper Thai restaurant. It's run by Chinese people. The taste isn't at all what it should be; it tastes like a cheap pre-made spice mix, and the vegetables look like they've been frozen (and look like it, too). I also had two hairs in my food, which took away my appetite. To make matters worse, the beer tasted soapy and smelled funny (old tap?), so we actually left it. This was truly the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. We went based on the reviews, and I wonder if these people have never been to a proper Thai restaurant or if the reviews are just fake. The taste is a disaster for the price! A snack bar can do better, and the price is cheaper. We had Massaman curry and tofu med mamuang (cashew).

Don't even lie to me, it's a nice place, super sweet lady who helped us well and the staff works super hard, I would definitely come here again.

One of the best Thai restaurant ever!

Last night, a group of 10 went to Royal Thai. We had a great seat for a large group and had a delicious meal. The service was excellent and customer-friendly. The atmosphere was perfect. When we left, the weather was bad outside, with lightning, etc., so we were warmly called back inside until it dried up. Another 5 stars!

They serve the typical food you'd expect in Thai or Chinese restaurants. The food tastes good, but for the price they charge, I would have expected a bit more garnish than just an orange peel and a sprig of parsley.

Had delicious soup, duck with red curry sauce and beef with red onions. Spices were very well balanced and all ingredients super fresh. The Margaritas we ordered were surprisingly very good. Definitely coming back!

Really nice Thai restaurant, we like coming back here. We had Koong Chuchee (shrimp in red curry #75) and Khauy Tiow Phad Khee Maow (glass noodles with pork and vegetables #108): both really good and flavoured. The staff is kind and welcoming.
