I've been to the other locations (gelderlandplein, amstelveen stadshart) and normally I really love tbe food and the restaurants but the CS one wasn't giving the same vibe. The food wasn't as good (still within standards) and the vibe wasn't like a real restaurant (perhaps because it's at the station). I felt a bit claustrophobic as the inside of the restaurant is also very small and tables are near each other. Overall it's good for a quicker bite I'd say but not for a nice dinner with your partner.

Very nice spot right at Central Station. I would rate 90% authentic (10% fusion 😊) and one of the tastiest ones so far in Netherland. Caramel Duck with rice is a must try, and Pho is good too.

If you don’t want to receive some “attitude” from their young waitress by the cashier, here is not the place for you to go. The food was acceptable, but the service is less than 1 star.

We had a delicious meal here. Unfortunately, it was just before closing time, and the staff seemed a bit off-duty. It's located right in Amsterdam Central, making it very easy to get to. I would come back here again.

The food was delicious and the portions were good for the price. However, the ingredients weren't listed correctly on the menu. My daughter had an allergic reaction to the peanuts in her dessert. Luckily, it was mild, but someone else with a severe allergy would have been in serious trouble! We even asked the staff to exchange the dessert after discovering the peanuts a little too late, but they told us we'd have to pay twice. There weren't any peanuts listed on the dessert menu.

Overall, a great restaurant to have a fulfilling meal. The pho was plentiful and delicious. The fried rice as well. The lemongrass tea was warming with a balanced level of sweetness. I have no complaints at all. The place was a bit cramped, so it was tight when you have luggage from your train trips.

Rude staff when asking to pay and purchase something in order to use their toilet, almost kicked us out

Ordered online , food was really bad, bread was molded for the bahn mi . They refused to compesate .

It was during SAIL 2025, so it was hectically busy. The food was good and fresh, but nothing special. Perfect for a quick bite on the way to the train.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this restaurant. I made an order, the delivery guy said he took the wrong delivery and would change it. After half an hour I called to check where my food was. The restaurant told me pretty much it was my problem and I have to complain with Thuisbezorgd. Very poor service and rude answering. I will never order here again.

The staff were very nice, but it doesn't do me any good when the food is prepared so poorly that you feel disgusted after just one bite.

The food was delicious. Beef Pho and a coconut drink. I told them I have a peanut allergy, and they were very accommodating!

Soup of the pho tasted very diluted, but with added salt to 'compensate'. The vegetables were not very fresh and cling film was weirdly stuck to the plates (see photo). Not recommended to visit.

Pretty good experience overall. Dishes were tasty and fulfilling. The only critique I would make is that cucumbers and tomatoes do not really belong to the Vietnamese kitchen. Other than that, recommended.

The service was horrible ruined the experience of a "decent" meal. They seriously treat their customers like garbage. I came here multiple times and every time its always a bad experience. Wouldn't recommend!!!!!!

The food was nice, it is as good or even better than what restaurants in Asia offer. The staff was very nice, the price was typical of Amsterdam especially in a location next to Amsterdam central. The decoration was also detailed, but it was a bit too warm in there.

Sanifair voucher was rejected by a waiter. I was disappointed. On the photos above it is clear that Saigon Caphe is one of the partners that must accept it.

You could tell the food was old. The noodles were way too soggy as if it had been sitting in liquid for too long. The broth was not even heated up to the right temperature. Very questionable.

Lamentablemente, este "café" no tiene nada que ver con el significado real del café francés, que significa fácil de llevar, buena calidad y buen servicio! ¡He estado aquí antes y vuelto a regañadientes hoy y para mi consternación ninguna de las charecsterísticas anteriores se me presentó! Solo quería tener un almuerzo rápido por el que este lugar es famoso y una bebida, Apenas había puesto un pie en el interior o me llevaron a una mesa de esquina sin ningún lugar para moverse porque estaba lleno de gente cuando comenté que me negaron y otra mesa libre y a pesar de mis seguridades de que me quedaría, pero 15 minutos el así llamado gerente de piso rechazó sin rodeos mi solicitud y no movió un vinger para evitar que me fuera! Me fui por las siguientes razones: mesas sucias personal poco acogedor y al final la por la que he probado antes es media en el mejor de los casos por lo que mi recomendación evita este sucio inhóspito llamado café que destaca por una cosa y una sola cosa: TRAMPA TURÍSTICA

Ik kwam met mijn dochter kort een drankje drinken maar dat was toch echt niet de bedoeling werd mij 2x toe geirriteerd verteld door de manager en zijn vrouw en dat ze het voor deze keer maar toelieten. Redenen te kleine locatie er zou zgn een rij staan, maar die stond er niet. Alle mooie tafels waren vrij, we zaten al in een hoekje achteraf en we waren binnen 10 min weg (was nog te lang maar de Vietnamese koffie deed er wat langer over). Never again bij CS. Doe iets aan je communicatie want dit was echt zo onvriendelijk. Ik ga gewoon weer naar Gelderlandplein daar voelen we ons tenminste altijd welkom hetzij voor lunch diner of alleen een drankje!

Denk dat er iets four was gegaan in de keuken… Ik bestelde de pho, deze was echt zo zout dat ik de hele avond dorst heb gehad. Ben een liefhebber van eigenlijk wel alle Aziatische soepen, en er zitten grote verschillen in de balans tussen zouten, zuren en zoeten maar dit was echt bremzout. Zelfs na het toevoegen van water en wat limoen bleef het zo. Alsof de bouillon enkel bestond uit concentraat. Geen aanrader.

Terrible service. It was past dinner time and the restaurant was not even half full and we were turned away when we mentioned we were after drinks, not food.

I’m a pho addict, but sadly this one didn’t make the cut. The noodles had a chewing-gum texture, and the meat was full of fat and gristle, making it impossible to eat. The bean sprouts tasted strange at best. The broth was just okay—not terrible, but definitely not great.

Ate here last Thursday with my daughter, lunch and then dinner. The food and homemade iced tea were super delicious. However, people here do not take it seriously when it comes to food allergies among customers. Very unfortunate! My daughter has a peanut allergy. This was indicated to the waiter and still peanut was on her plate! Brought back to the service, the peanuts were then wiped off and brought back to us. After we checked, there were still peanuts between the spring rolls!!!!!! Management of Saigon Caphe CS: Train your staff regarding food allergies among customers. Customers can die if they ingest what they are allergic to!

They have problems with the terminal, we needed to find cash to pay. Pho ga was nothing close to the original taste

Rijstvel loempia besteld online, maar bij verkeerde locatie. Stom natuurlijk. Telefonisch contact gehad en eten was nog niet gemaakt. Vroeg of konden wisselen naar andere locatie van zelfde restaurant. Niet meewerkend en pech gehad. Geld weg en geen tegoed of iets dergelijks.

Luckily there was still room for two. It was busy, and that on a Tuesday. (Reservations are unfortunately not possible) Fresh spring rolls and fried ones in advance. Just right. Then my tablemate had the beef curry and I had the chicken Pho. Both delicious. Real Vietnamese flavors as I recognize them from the country itself. A bit noisy and close together. But you're lucky with the view of the A'DAM Tower

All in all, it's a good restaurant. It's not particularly special, but it's not bad either. It's not very authentic, but it's fine.

Food was delicious and perfect for warming up after a cold day. Portion size is good too. The service was nice and the atmosphere and view is really nice as well. Would recommend if you want something in the centre.

Had to wait more than 20 minutes for a normal Pho soup. When I indicated that it was taking a long time, the employee also indicated whether I wanted to take it with me differently... scandalous. Employee indicated that the drink was at their expense, but payment was simply added. What a service...

Sounds shady when they say then dont accept bank cards. The sign that says they dont accept bank cards is too small to notice at the entrance. Only when paying our bill we got to know about the situation. We ended up searching for an ATM which charged an additional 2.5 euros.

If you are looking for new and typical flavours, this is the right place for you. The service was quick and the waitresses extremely friendly, always attentive and helpful. The quality of the food, especially the meat, was truly excellent, and the meat broth stood out with its intense and rich flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet and relaxing, ideal for enjoying a meal in peace. An experience that I recommend to those who appreciate traditional Asian cuisine. Only note: you cannot pay by card and you can only request a glass of free tap water

Don't listen to the negative reviews. Those people obviously have no clue what Vietnamese food is supposed to be like apparently. If you love Pho you will love it. If you're not vegan I highly recommend Beef Brisket Pho. It's how I judge. It was terrific, and probably the best spring rolls I've had. It's a bit pricey, but so is everything when you're in a transportation hub. Love you guys. Will see you today sometime.

Saigon but doesn’t have Saigon beer

It's a bit more expensive than other restaurants, and I don't think it's particularly delicious, but it's not bad either. The service is quite friendly. Maybe because of the location, it's always full during meal times, but the table change rate is pretty fast.

I am not knowledgeable about Vietnamese food, so take everything I write with a grain of salt. Tonight we visited this place with my friend for dinner. I ordered 2 Chicken Spring Rolls, 2 Prawn Spring Rolls, a fried softshell crab and a beer. First they delivered 8 spring rolls, 4 from each. I didn't want to make it too big of a deal, math is hard sometimes, I know... But the real problem started when I couldn't tell the difference between chicken and prawn spring rolls they were all very tasteless. And I have had spring rolls before, so I kinda knew what to expect. Then they served softshell crab, it didn't taste at all, could have been fried paper as well. While I was complaining, my friend suggested I should try the sauce that came with the crab. Oh my god... it tasted like fermented dirty sea water. Before writing this comment, I tasted a couple of things from the fridge, just to make I'm not sick or anything and my tastebuds work normally... so yes I can still taste. Again, maybe the Vietnamese food is not for me. But man... I'll mourn for a long time for the 39.50 Euros I spent for dinner tonight.

I used to come here very often but this time looks like they have changed the manager, to someone who has bad attitude to customer. He didn't accept any feedback of the food. Even after I said I do not want to have refund, just want to share the feedback. Still, he did not want to admit that the food has problems. Instead, he blamed me not telling him one hour ago when the food was just delivered. All I wanted to hear is "thanks for your feedback". Is this too much to ask for?

All the dishes were disappointing. The broth was too salty, and the bun bo looked like it had added food coloring. The spring rolls were undercooked, with rice paper that was both hard and chewy at the same time (how does that even happen?). The glass jelly dessert had hardened so much, it felt like chewing on tires. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Paid five euros for two small spring rolls, the size of my little finger. Outrageously expensive.

Regular customer at saigon caphe gelderlandplein but this time tried the spot at central station. When i made the order the payment went through but since i did not get any receipt they told me to pay once more altough i did made the payment already. After a bit of a discussion, the manager came and manage to find out that the payment had been made but they reimbursed me. Finally i made the order once more. They thought i did not understand dutch…..the person whom helped me at first asked the manager wether the first payment went through and the manager said to her, no she didn’t pay 🙄 to my surprise since the payment did went through from my account and they simply reimbursed it to my account to make me redo the order….. Would defintely not return to this location anymore. Service at Saigon gelderlandplein is much better

Hands down the best place for food at Amsterdam Centraal. The meals are tasty and freshly prepared, and the staff are very friendly.

Wonderful food. The deep fried spring rolls are delicious and I’m struggling to find it in my country. The place is small but nice and you’ll have a nice river view along with the central station movement. Staff is friendly and quick.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I loved this restaurant so much that I went there three times in just a week. As a Việt, I'm super picky with the phổ but I can affirm that the one at Sài Gòn Cà phê is an authentic one ! The soup, the noodles and the beef are excellent. The caramel duck, served with rice is also very good. The prices are very reasonable for a restaurant in the center of Amsterdam. Nice people, and amazing view. You can enjoy your meal while looking at the boats on the canal.

Amsterdam Central Station mostly closes at 8pm. It's open until 9:30 p.m., so it's a good option if you're having a late dinner.

No. 1 Niuhe, which has a large portion, is a tougher version of Gui Diao, not a soft version of pho.

We were first asked whether we wanted to eat or just drink. Since we wanted to eat something, we were assigned a table. Our service was very nice, the iced tea was beautifully presented and the Bunh Mi were fine. It's a bit dirty but overall ok for a takeaway.

Braised lemon grass beef. It was disgusting 🤮🤮🤮 Bones, fat and the gravy looked like motor oil had zero flavor and not 1 piece of descent meat. Never again

Ze hebben sinds kort denk ik ander personeel. Onbeleefd en schuift zijn fouten in jouw schoenen. Bij binnenkomst gaf ik aan dat ik een tafel voor 1 persoon wilde. Hij wees me richting het raam. Bij het opnemen van de bestelling reageerde hij geïrriteerd waarom ik niet eerder zei dat ik in m’n eentje was. Nu moest hij de tweede set placemat en eetstokjes weghalen. Wat is het probleem? Grote mond en slechte service. Ook het eten leek oud en niet vers bereid. Saigon Caphe is enorm achteruit gegaan de laatste paar maanden.

Good place and convenient like located. It’s on the pier side of Centraal station. The ambience is nice. The place served authentic pan Asian food. We tried the fried rice and spring rolls and the taste was really good.

I have ordered the wok tossed chili prawns and the fried tofu last Saturday 06-07-2024 at SC CS, but it was not as good as normal. Normally both really taste very good and I have ordered these two dishes many times before, but now unfortunately it was tasteless, especially the tofu. The prawns dish was also a bit dry, almost no moist at all. Maybe I am wrong, but it feels like you have a different chef

Immediately stopped at this restaurant at Central Station from the metro. We ordered a soup and a chicken/curry dish with rice. Both were well seasoned. The Vietnamese coffee is also recommended. There is quite a demand for both eating on site and taking away. The food tasted great.

Too bad, not a Vietnamese restaurant, food is salty and too much oil, not authentic. We did order Pho and bun bo hue , so disappointed, taste so weird. We dont recommend, never come back again.

Friends pho was completely cold and they didn't want to serve us at thier tables outside (without explanation why, I offered to take dishes outside and plates back when we are done myself), so they ended up serving us in very wasteful and non green take away containers packaging.

Tengo el caldo de pollo con carne y rodajas crudas de carne pho. Los caldos no tenían sabor, sabían a agua. Caro para un tazón tan pequeño. No recomendaría ni volvería. Un buen punto Pho se basa en su caldo.
