I really felt the uprising happiness from every one. I have to say, this gives the best part of the vibe of the bar:) it’s THE flag of the place on a Saturday night with amazing service and everyone is happy to work here! I highly recommend bar saloon!

I love stopping by here when I just need an oasis from the busy-ness of life or an easy crowd-pleasing spot to bring newcomers to the city. I crave and come back for the spicy tuna melt regularly, and the Mokum Mule is primo. But above all, the music inside is always a vibe (I've Shazam'd so many times here), the patio is chill, and the staff (Ahmad and Liv are personal favorites) and management are always authentic, friendly, and warm. I can't even count the number of times they've taken a quick moment to just sit and chat with me. I don't write reviews often, but this spot is exceptional and well worth it.

Hmmmm Where do I start Super welcoming members of staff Great menu simple but I believe everyone will find something for themselves We ordered spicy chicken sandwich and cheese burger with chips portions were bigger than I expected and so so delicious. In the back ground lovely music made our time there even more enjoyable. I love Bar Saloon and Amsterdam

Extremely expensive for what you get

We weren't served because we waited 10 minutes for a response from the server and had to think for 15 seconds about what we wanted to order.

Worst service ever. We waited 20 minutes to place our order. Grumpy service guy.

Greeted by super uninterested staff who left us waiting for ages after seeing us too a table. Ordered some red wine and was served with dirty glasses alongside the bottle. Poor service. Average food.

Super fast service, very good iced latte and dishes, with quite a few vegan options!! My girlfriend had the classic cheeseburger and it was excellent, her vegan version was the same, and the fries were perfect.

Daniel, Afro man and Gihan are absolute legends. Had a great time here

The prices charged were in no way comparable to the prices on the menu; the final bill was 30-40% higher. Even when the restaurant wasn't busy, it took 25 minutes for the waiter to come and take our order. Neighbors at other tables who asked for their bills, after a long wait, just like us, ended up paying at the bar. Overall, it all seemed like a scam – we'll never go back.

Not far from the museum quarter. Friendly staff, lovely food - huge salads! Even made a drink that wasn’t on the menu for us when someone wanted a milkshake. Nice outdoor seating and good for kids too.

Not far from the Rijksmuseum and a great place to stop for a drink and something to eat. We had the mix platter of felafel, cheese sticks, bitternballen, bread and dip. Delicious.

Food 4/5, not much choice for beer but the napkins are a 10, a real towel 😅 still okay

After visiting so many places in Amsterdam I consider this one a MUST visit. Perfect vibe, the coffee was literally the best, food was incredible and the service is TOP level.

Absolute fantastic bar. Location is spread well between the sun and the shade. Food is out of this world and the staff are wonderful, friendly and very down to earth.... One of my favorite spots in Amsterdam so far x

Cozy. Fantastic music. Excellent drinks. Fresh ingredients. The staff was kind, quick, and they seemed like a family of friends together. Idealic location to spend a meal on vacation.

Friendly service (I don't recognize the reviews that talk about rude waiters - everyone was super friendly). Ice cold beer served quickly on a sunny terrace. What more could you ask for? (we didn't eat anything so I cannot comment) We will be back!

Nice athmosphere and location and we often visit this place for some drinks if we had dinner somewhere nearby. However, yesterday we were charged for beers higher than what was written on the menu. Also some mix up on the orders. Not a nice feeling.

Saloon is a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal and a wonderful atmosphere in the heart of Amsterdam! The food was incredibly delicious and well-prepared, exceeding all my expectations. I was also very impressed by the service; the staff were professional, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The vibe of the place is unique and very welcoming, making it a perfect choice for a night out. A flawless 5-star rating for everything from the food to the environment. Definitely a place I’ll visit again!

The prices are incomprehensible and higher than what's shown on the menu or what was ordered. A 15% tip is automatically added unless you object.

What a great find! Just round the corner from there Rijksmuseum we found this little splendid bar. A little chilly outside (although there were heaters) so we sat inside. Really great atmosphere and absolutely wonderful food. How the chef cooked this up in such a small space is beyond me! Highly recommended

A place to grab a drink and a snack. It was very crowded and the staff were quite busy.

The prices listed on the menu are not accurate; then they charge you an extra 3 euros for beer without even warning you, they never tell you that there are supposedly two sizes, they overcharged us 15 euros.

Looks a bit down at heel but the food and service were great. Not crowded or busy.

A fantastic cafe/bar. It's relaxed. Great music and chilled vibe. We visited early afternoon for a beer and coffee and some small things to snack on. We had Olives, deep fried cheese sticks and flatbread and Hummus. Was all freshly made and very tasty. Will absolutely be back. Quiet side street and exactly what we like. Well worth the visit.

Great place, especially in terms of service and atmosphere. A relaxed atmosphere (which you could interpret negatively, but I don't mean it that way at all). This kind of service is quite rare in Amsterdam; usually, a waiter will come and take your order with a crestfallen expression after walking past you indifferently a few times. That's not the case at Bar Saloon, and they make you feel welcome. The food is excellent and solid. The outdoor outlets are also a plus, so you can charge your phone.

Really enjoyed our visit to The Saloon in Amsterdam! The finger food is very nice, nothing fancy, but tasty and well done. The place has a great vibe, with cosy seating both inside and outside, perfect for relaxing. The staff are young, trendy, and super friendly, which adds to the atmosphere. Excellent experience overall, I definitely recommend it, whether you’re just grabbing a drink or having a bite to eat!

This place is very charming, close to the canal and a great spot to rest. The only thing bringing this down is the service, which as others have mentioned was slow and disinterested (though there was one waiter who was more lively and friendly). The food was very good, and the beer selection is good too.

Disinterested and slow service. Sat for ages before being acknowledged. Got an unhappy response for wanting to change tables... The card machine had an undeserved tip pre selected (we could remove it), but also an unexpected card surcharge.

We enjoyed a cold glass of beer and an elderflower lemonade at the sidewalk café. We didn't eat there, so there's no need to add anything to the three stars. A cozy and atmospheric café where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere of the big city.
