Really enjoyed our visit to The Saloon in Amsterdam! The finger food is very nice, nothing fancy, but tasty and well done. The place has a great vibe, with cosy seating both inside and outside, perfect for relaxing. The staff are young, trendy, and super friendly, which adds to the atmosphere. Excellent experience overall, I definitely recommend it, whether you’re just grabbing a drink or having a bite to eat!

This place is very charming, close to the canal and a great spot to rest. The only thing bringing this down is the service, which as others have mentioned was slow and disinterested (though there was one waiter who was more lively and friendly). The food was very good, and the beer selection is good too.

Disinterested and slow service. Sat for ages before being acknowledged. Got an unhappy response for wanting to change tables... The card machine had an undeserved tip pre selected (we could remove it), but also an unexpected card surcharge.

We enjoyed a cold glass of beer and an elderflower lemonade at the sidewalk café. We didn't eat there, so there's no need to add anything to the three stars. A cozy and atmospheric café where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere of the big city.

Once you place your order, you can forget that it will be brought to you, even if there are almost no visitors in the bar.

Very slow and sluggish service (with the hall half empty, we received an omelette 20 minutes after being reminded about it, and not quite in the form we ordered). The omelette itself was delicious👍. Other visitors had to wait longer and reheat their order.

We had a delicious breakfast here outside close to a "Gracht". Very good Italien Cappuccino an fresh orange Juice. The Service was very kind. Very much recommend.

Great location, good service, but always uses the same catchphrase. A bit commercial. When paying, the 20% tip option was already indicated, which we found intrusive. A bit pricey even though it is Amsterdam. Other glasses were not clean. As well as fresh ginger tea, there may be more than 3 thin slices of ginger on a stick in warm water.

Good experience, the food is tasty, we drank some wine and everything was pleasant, quiet space and pleasant service.

Stumbled upon this place on our first night in amsterdam and came back in the second and third. Staff are incredibly kind and friendly, food was unreal (would recommend the bitter ballen) drinks were also all amazing. Honestly could not recommend this place enough. Proper memories built with my dad sat playing back gammon here. Thank you to all our servers.

The location is great. The food is ok. The service is ok. The menu needs to be upgraded. Beers prices are only shown as one price and actually there are 3 different sizes with different prices. It is ambiguous and at least risky to have a conflict of paying higher price than you expected. General speaking, as a tourist, if there is any conflict or overcharge, it is affordable. The mood could only be ruined for 2.6 hours.

This was such an accidental stellar find!! Dive bar ambiance, lively yet cozy, and excellent food. We were scoping a place to eat around 8:30pm on a Wednesday evening and already ran into a few closed kitchens. This place came in clutch and delivered! Shout out to Daniel and the rest of the staff, too - such an interesting and warm group of folks that seemed to have a lot of fun together. 💛

After ordering a few burgers and drinks and waiting more than 40 minutes, we had to go and ask ourselves what was wrong with our food. Then we found out that the order had been placed, but that they were simply not preparing it. Judging from the reviews, this seems to be a common problem. I don't recommend this place, save yourself the time.

Absolute crooks!!! Watch this joint. They are advertising different prices to what they charge! My husband and I ordered two beers on the menu they were priced at €6.20 each, but when it came to pay, they cost €8.50 each. When I questioned the prices, they told me that the size of glass we had was bigger than what was advertised on the menu, but OF COURSE, there was no mention of different sizes on the menu. Was there???? It is not the money, it is THE PRINCIPLE!!!!! False advertising, absolutely scamming tourists, of course!!!! Shame, but at least if people read reviews, they will be prepared since they can very easily be scamed by this place. Be careful, guys!!!

We had just visited the Peter R. De Vries monument and were going for a walk in the area. The missus needed to do a restroom stop, so we sat down on the terrace and ordered some coffee and tea. We didn't have much time, so we left it at that, but found it to be a great place. We'll be back again to try the menu.

Wonderful happy hour / nightcap spot. Welcoming, LGBTQ friendly, unique beer options, kind staff. Their playlist features Prince and Scissor Sisters, so there's that too.

Unfortunately, the bar and service staff were overwhelmed that evening. The cocktails had a bland taste or the mixing ratio was wrong. In addition, the cocktails were served in the wrong glasses. The bartender's skills were also evident from the fact that it took him about 5 minutes to open the shaker. In addition, an additional fee is charged for card payments

Very beautiful coffeeshop/bar. It took a while until the waiter noticed me but he was friendly. I ordered a drink I never had before and I loved it. Its called kambucha (i had it with passionfruit & hop flavor) Will come here again for sure!

Delicious coffee and lunch was also fine. Including nachos and bitterballen. Somewhat higher prices, but you know that in the center of this beautiful city. Thank you!

Very bad attention. They made a mistake with the order and when we told them there was no good treatment. (They don't look at you, or they look at you badly, and they give you things without desire) I asked for a bottle of water for my lunch and they rudely placed a glass of tap water on the table.
