The store has had a revamp recently and I love it. Ordering your own food is a game changer. The music is very enjoyable, even my 8 year old is enjoying the vibe this place has. We had the full loaded Nachos and the chicken cheese quesadilla and we were not disappointed. Full of flavor

Honestly it's been a long time I didn't have such a poorly coocked dish. The burrito I ordered was completely soaked in sauce, there was way too much of it so you could taste only vinegar. Moreover half of the burrito was cold... never going here again.

Vegan or Vegetarian people please keep and eye when they prepare a meal for you , being a vegetarian and asked for vegetarian bowl they put the minced chicken into it plus I asked for extra grilled vegetables where I can’t find anywhere in the bowl. Now I am not sure how I can get my money back.

Taco was half cold, bad taste, impossible to eat it falls apart in your hands and at the end there is not even where to wash hands, no toilet.

I really like the burritos! The meat is warm and the vegetables are fresh! I also find the staff very friendly and the food arrived quickly.

It was so bad, it was life changing. It really made me reevaluate my life. I want to make sure that I never have to be in a situation where I have to eat here, ever again. My burrito was soaking wet with grease. It was leaking through the bottom of the aluminum foil. I don’t know how, but the bottom half of my burrito was cold due to the pile up of grease. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the worst burrito I’ve ever had. After the first bite, I wanted to throw it away, but i can’t stand throwing away food so I tried to soldier on. On to the tacos. I hoped they would be better. They were filled with so much lettuce and cold cheese, I wondered if I had placed the wrong order. I could not taste anything beyond the lettuce and cold cheese. It was bizarre, and so unbelievably bad. It was awful and pretty expensive for the value and amount you receive. Employees were friendly though. So in summary, don’t eat here. Go to a real Mexican place.

Really nice food, but, really bad to no service and huge delay in food preparation

Terrible experience. The customer service was awful. After waiting more than 35 minutes, our order never arrived. After several requests, they processed a refund to the card, and we will have to wait and see if the amount is actually returned. By then, there was no time left to eat before catching our train. All we received were apologies. The place is extremely disorganized, and it felt like no one knew what was going on. Definitely not a good experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Salsa Shop is good, but this location is incredibly stingy. There's barely any meat on the sandwiches. I've had everything with double meat, and even then, there's barely any meat in it. Other Salsa Shop locations are better, especially the one in Amsterdam. I've tried this one countless times, and every time you're left with a burrito and salad. I wouldn't recommend it.

we waited for 20 mins hoping it’d be worth it. half of the burritos were cold probably from the cold toppings but it was hard to understand why the burritos were not warmed up on the grill after wrapping which is the right way. small portion for €13 filled with lots of rice, little meat and no taste. huge disappointment.

The food was good, however, the portion of quesadilla was not very generous. The staff were friendly-ish, nothing special to be honest. The reason for my bad review is that I was very surprised when I saw that the options with chicken were ONLY halal. I thought it was a mistake but when I asked one of the staff members, she confirmed that the chicken they have it’s halal and they don’t have non halal. I am truly surprised that a company like Salsa Shop does not care about animal welfare at all. I am not Muslim so I don’t need to eat halal chicken, you should give the choice to your customers. For this reason I will never come back. I hope my review will be taken seriously.

The vegetarian tacos are very good

Half of the order systems were not working - so we had to order in person. The tacos were great, its usual that they fall apart but everything was fresh and tasty :) i ESPECIALLY LOVE the Jarritos!!! Its like PINEAPPLE flavoured SPRITE!

I've been coming to Salsha Shop regularly for years, either to eat in or takeout, and I've always been satisfied with the food and customer service. Until last Sunday, when I ordered food through Thuisbezorgd for the first time, it was a disaster. The food was tasteless; most of the chicken pieces were dry and burnt. I paid extra for chicken and guacamole, but there was hardly any of it left—very meager, not what I'm used to from Salsha Shop. The peach habanero sauce was also nowhere to be found; it was extremely tasteless. I called about it, but got a very rude, unfriendly English-speaking woman on the phone who hung up while I was still talking. I called back again, but no one answered. All in all, a huge disappointment.

I ordered a small burrito which got way too filled with toppings, so much so that I saw the guy who made it spill out a lot of toppings on the foil while wrapping the burrito, and he didn't even bother getting a new foil. Just wrapped it, creating an unnecessarily messy eating experience. He didn't say anything, or smiled, or even looked at me while giving me the burrito as part of customer service (it wasn't even busy). And to top it off, the red onion that was cut for the mixed vegetables was not properly peeled so I ended up encountering a bunch of hard, dry, thin, (also) burnt onions. The whole experience became so unappetizing that I stopped eating my burrito halfway and threw it away. Not worth the money and I am not coming back again.

Unfortunately, our meal at Salsa Shop Utrecht Hoog Catharijne was disappointing. The prices are quite high, but you get very little in return. The portions are very small. The quality of the food was mediocre, and it was served lukewarm. Not bad, but definitely not good enough for the price. The presentation and composition were also messy, making the food difficult to eat.

Today we ate at Salsa Shop Utrecht Hoog Catharijne, and it was unfortunately a huge disappointment. For two quesadillas (one beef, one chicken), one loaded nacho, and two drinks, we paid a total of €35, which is completely disproportionate to what you get. The quesadillas were extremely small—literally the size of a palm—and were eaten in two bites. The plate felt more like a joke than a meal, especially if you believe the photos on the payment terminal, which are absolutely not accurate. The loaded nachos were poorly prepared: everything was covered in a thick layer of sauce, so you have to dip your fingers in it before you can even grab a nacho. Cutlery wasn't provided. The taste itself was fine, but everything was a bit cold. The only small plus is that it's halal. The service was also terrible: no "enjoy your meal," the food was practically thrown on the table, and the staff seemed grumpy and disinterested. This isn't just a snapshot, either—we heard the same story from others in the area. I've eaten at many different places, and I'm really not picky, but this was truly terrible. You walk out feeling ripped off. We won't be back.

€15 for 3 dirty wet, sparsely filled soft tacos completely soaked and if you say anything about it you will be looked at askance by 7 employees for the rest of your visit, do not come here

The ordering screens were a bit delayed, so it took a while, but otherwise everything went perfectly as expected.

Way too expensive for what you get. I paid €14 for a burrito that was bland and lukewarm. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here.

Want delicious Mexican food? Please do NOT come here. Expensive and tasteless. We have a food blog and we eat everywhere. If I could give less than one star, I would have given it to Salsa Shop. Never again. You're better off using the McDonald's.

The tastiest nachos I've ever had had a lot of ingredients on them, the tacos were also very tasty, but tip: use hard taco shells otherwise everything will fall off the taco. The atmosphere is 3 because the restaurant was very open.

I was very surprised by the taste! It was really delicious! When you see it being put in front of you, you think, "Nah... I don't know." It's just a metal bowl, it looks a bit like the one your pet eats out of. But... it tastes absolutely delicious, the ingredients are great, well-seasoned, absolutely fantastic!! It's also nice that you can choose exactly how you want it. Handy with kids too :) Absolutely recommended!!

Edit (6 years later): The service was incredibly fast! I thought it was delicious and quite spicy 🥵 It's great that there are now poles for placing your order. The first time was delicious, but the second time I only got the leftover burnt chicken pieces that she scraped off the bottom. This made my burrito really bad, and I was fishing bits of hard chicken out of my mouth. So I advise everyone to check the chicken before ordering.

Good service with friendly staff. I like that they bring you the food. The place was still messy from the dinner rush though with piles of baskets, trash and bottles overflowing the trash.

I recently discovered this restaurant and was positively suprised. Even if it is a fast food restaurant everything feels fresh and healthy. Today I had the pleasure to meet Alejandro and had a top top top service!

Terrible service and attitude. Placed my order using the machine (difficult to use) and didn't receive it after waiting 30 minutes. After checking, apparently someone missed my order (despite me checking in betweeen) and the staff's attitude is like "it's not my fault". Asked for refund as I need to rush off, and the staff claimed i will get it by the next day. It has been 4 days and still no refund.

It was incredibly delicious, great value, and it's nice that you can see the nutritional information when ordering if you want. The tables were a bit dirty, though.

It's a truly pathetic excuse for a restaurant... I had to wait over 30 minutes for my food. I personally ordered the soft-shell tacos... they were anything but soft. The staff forgot half the order, and even my girlfriend's slaw was greasier than the average deep fryer. On top of that, the whole place was filthy, and if you looked into the kitchen, you'd think they should shut it down because it was even dirtier than the average dumpster. All in all, a terrible place. I wouldn't come back, and I strongly advise against it. A tip for the owner: close the place down or hire new staff who can actually handle it, because this is the pathetic excuse for a restaurant ever.

Tasty soft tacos, and plenty of options to customize your order. The guacamole was fresh and vegetables, both raw and cooked, were tasty. No service in Dutch, though, so be prepared to order in English.

Got a chicken baby burrito here. It wasn’t very busy so the food came quickly. Reason for docked review is although the person preparing the food was wearing gloves, she was constantly touching her glasses, hair, taking the number plates off tables, and continuing to make food without changing her gloves. Not very hygienic.

Today I tried to order at the cash register of the Salsa Shop at Utrecht Central Station. After waiting for five minutes, three girls behind the counter told me in English that I HAD to order through the self-service screens. I refused. When I asked why there was a debit card machine on the counter, I was told in English that only students and NS (Dutch Railways) staff are allowed to order and pay verbally at the counter. I then thanked the girls for their hospitality and walked away.

The food was delicious, it was very fresh. There were also several salsa sauces available to use on your food.

Disgusting food! No flavor!!!!!! Waste of money. Better to get a cheese sandwich at Albert Heijn, much tastier.

The tortilla was soft and warm, and the salsa had a nice kick without being too spicy. A generous portion and definitely value for money. A delicious, quick, and healthy meal—I'll definitely be back! 🌯🌱
