We live in Frankfurt and happened to end up at Sam's in Zwolle. Since then, we regularly order the best coffee in the world from Sam. Fortunately, the kids still live in the Netherlands, so I can have it delivered there. Never any problems with delivery, always good communication, and once again, the best coffee in the whole world. Here in Frankfurt, the whole family is craving Sam's Kenya AA!

For a regular, good cup of coffee, Sam's is too specialized and geared towards a niche. Sam is open to being right, tries to persuade, and listens to respond... and not to learn. Clearly not our kind of coffee for a casual 'cup of joe'. Sam, good luck with your niche coffee, but I think your condescending tone won't sit well with many. I hope you make it through the 6 months with your business.

A very warm and modern coffee shop in zwolle. Each coffee has 3 beans you can choose from and the matcha banana bead latta is honesly delicious. The owner is very kind and makes every guest feel welcome.

I ordered a matcha latte to go here. It tasted really good, and fortunately, you could really taste the matcha (which is by no means the case at all coffee shops). I found the flavor very accessible, so even people who might not have had matcha very often can give this a good try. All in all, it is also a very nice place where the staff have a real passion for coffee (and matcha)!

I had to wait 15 minutes for 3 black coffees, and it wasn't even busy. A bit of a shame because it's expensive coffee.

Gorgeous speciality coffee in the heart of Zwolle. A modern, sleek and sophisticated coffee shop with gorgeous furniture and minimalist design. The team were friendly, and spoke perfect English. Ordering was via a QR code or with the barista. There was a choice of at least 3 different beans, the Italian roast was lovely - I would recommend. The cakes looked marvellous, but we did not get a chance to taste them.

I have tried so many different coffee beans, but the beans from Sam’s Coffee really stand out. The taste is perfectly balanced: full-bodied, smooth, and without a bitter or sour aftertaste. We really enjoyed the Barista Workshop! Sam is clearly an expert and passionate about his craft. He could tell us everything, and no question was too crazy. If you really want to master brewing coffee and everything that goes with it, then this is definitely highly recommended!

Sam's Speciality Coffee is 'the real deal'. Coffee with passion and craftsmanship. Sam is an entrepreneur who combines innovation with originality. A beautiful shop, with not only delicious coffee, but also lovely chairs.

I looked for a place to sit down for a work session with nice coffee and snacks and found this place to be perfect, pleasant and with very warm service. My question about whether I can sit down with a laptop was answered before I could ask by seeing one other person with a laptop sitting in the window, and a sign at the door, specifying that no laptops are allowed only on Saturday :) - in the afternoon, if I remember correctly. After I chose a place at the window next to the other person with a laptop, which happened to be Sam. We had a short and welcoming interaction, and I got the password for the W-Lan. The service helped me out friendly with my special request for the coffee and the problems with my card during payment. Last, but definitely not least important, I had a very delicious iced latte with coconut milk. ✨

Normally I don't like coffee, but I did enjoy that iced vanilla latte. Highly recommended, you can taste the quality.

Not everything revolves around good coffee. Sometimes a warm welcome is at least as important as what is in your cup. Let one thing be clear: the coffee was excellent. Perhaps one of the best we have drunk recently. Compliments on that. That is precisely why the rest stood out all the more. A "good afternoon" was missing, even though we were sitting next to the bar. No smile, no welcome, no moment where you felt seen as a guest. Hospitality does not begin with the first sip of coffee, but with the first contact. The ordering process also felt strange. The order was placed entirely via your online ordering system, without any contact with an employee. That is precisely why it felt remarkable that a tip was explicitly requested during checkout. Moreover, the option not to give a tip seemed deliberately less visible, making it feel more like an expectation than a free choice. Good coffee alone does not make a good hospitality establishment. Atmosphere, genuine attention, and hospitality are at least as decisive for the experience as what is in the cup. The coffee undoubtedly deserves a compliment. As far as we are concerned, the experience surrounding it deserves the most attention.

Very friendly service! The coffee has a very unusual and pleasant taste. As an additional suggestion, I would recommend expanding the range of desserts and pastries. The space is large, with modern design and beautiful furniture. There is enough space between the tables to give guests a certain level of privacy. I would also like to mention that, finally, places with clean, new toilets are starting to appear in the Netherlands. Service in the Netherlands is significantly behind in this regard, and such details are usually not given enough thought. They often try to save money on these things, at the expense of guests’ comfort.

Our favorite blend for enjoying at home is definitely Italian Business – perfectly balanced, aromatic, and simply delicious. Very nice cafe in zwolle. It was my first time in the city and I don’t know where I had found this place via recommendation. Only nice things to say, very good coffee, nice staff, good pastries (ok maybe the 4€ cookie was a bit much if I want to be picky on the price thing but for the same price you can have a slide of delicious cake which is definitely worth it). Highly recommend visiting this cafe if you ever come visiting zwolle.

It was a great experience and the service was excellent. The girls were very nice. It was my first visit to this cafeteria, and I came all the way from Rotterdam.

The owner gave us a very warm welcome and really took the time for a friendly chat. That made our visit extra special. The shop has an atmospheric and cozy feel, and you immediately feel at ease there. If you are in Zwolle and love good coffee, this is absolutely a place you shouldn't miss. I found this café through Google Maps and decided to give it a try. Their matcha latte is quite different from the richer, milkier style I’m used to. The drink has a lighter and more refreshing texture, allowing the matcha flavor to stand out while still being smooth and enjoyable. I tried the Earl Grey Matcha and Strawberry Matcha, and both had a lovely aroma and great flavor. The stroopwafel cake was amazing as well—perfectly balanced sweetness with light, airy cream. 10/10 experience. Great drinks, delicious cake, and excellent service from the staff. Highly recommended! 😊

In a lovely spot, just away from the hustle and bustle, lies a coffee bar where the coffee is prepared with passion by a true barista who knows his craft. In addition to the regular coffees, which are prepared exquisitely, there is also room for specialty coffees such as the V60. Here too, everything is weighed and timed. Oh, and for the regular coffees, you can even choose from 3 types! The cinnamon bun was exquisite, and you can never go wrong with a Holtkamp cheesecake. There is also a nice terrace and plenty of seating. Highly recommended!

What a lovely café! They have a huge selection of drinks, from coffee to all sorts of matcha. The homemade pastries are also truly delicious and pair perfectly with the drinks. It's surprisingly spacious inside, so there's plenty of room to sit and relax. Highly recommended!

Also, if the restaurant is empty, I would appreciate it if the staff could take the time to simply come and take the order instead of having to order via QR code.

A very bare concrete storefront with a few chairs shoved in and overpriced goods being sold. Long waits because there's only one coffee machine. The place is packed with oat milk elite wearing New Balance sneakers. Apparently, there to be seen. If that's your thing, you should definitely go.
