We found the Pad Thai quite pricey, but it's delicious AND we've been enjoying it for two evenings now, because you get a huge amount. Highly recommended!

Food mediocre and vegetables waaaay too soggy for a good Thai. Had to wait 45 min longer than reserved and agreed. On multiple fronts, was my favourite place, but aren’t managing the popularity well. Huge disappointment.

I picked up the pad krapauw once. I missed the overwhelming and spicy bite this dish usually has. Perhaps this was due to the extra-large portion, which included too much rice?

We ate here today. There was no one else in the restaurant, probably because it was Sunday and the restaurant is a bit far from the center. The food we had was really good. The quality of the meat and fish was excellent. The chicken was tender, as was the salmon. I highly recommend the restaurant. The service was also very nice and friendly. All in all, 5 out of 5 stars.

The best Thai restaurant in Utrecht. I always visit when I'm here. Delicious pad Thai. Huge portions. Always fresh, delicious vegetables. Wonderful owners. Family atmosphere.

The menu is limited, but the dishes are well-prepared. The flavors are authentic, very reminiscent of those eaten in Thailand.

Delicious food and a warm atmosphere! The owner, who is Thai, is incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The dishes are served in generous portions with authentic Thai flavors you can truly rely on. A wonderful spot for both the food and the hospitality!

Wonderful food...far from what's usually sold as Thai cuisine, we had wonderfully authentic, fresh, and delicious dishes. The friendly service and the good energy in the room. I didn't want to leave any of the sumptuous and crispy food behind...I rolled out smiling afterwards... I can only say thank you again... Wonderful!!!!

There are many restaurants in Utrecht, but this one is trully unique. Delicious food, nice design, and a super nice and helpful crew. A place worthy to recommend, also because they play a lovely jazz music radio all the time. Pop in, chat with the owners, enjoy lovely dishes, and feel like a local in Utrecht!

Hansio could not have been a more gracious host. He recommended some amazing dishes that his wife cooked for us. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I felt like I was being treated to dinner at his home. We had the crispy lemongrass chicken which was one of the most amazing meals I have ever eaten.

Great lovely spot. The food is delicious. The chicken with rice was great but pad Thai was a bit too oily for some reason. Also sticky rice was delicious.

We had to wait a while for our food, but both dishes were really delicious. Will definitely come back!

Ordered ‘Kua Kling Nua’ for takeaway today and it blew my mind. It immediately brought me back to the South of Thailand. The dish is really authentic. All the spices are on point and well-balanced. Highly recommend if you can handle spiciness. ‘Kui chai’ — seasonal menu was also really nice to start your palette, the dipping sauce was well-made. Grab one while it lasts!

This is hands down the best Thai food I have eaten outside of Thailand and I don’t say this lightly. The atmosphere and smells takes you right back! The menu is short and sweet and I think they change it often. Owned by a family. The food is freshly made to order each time and so it takes a while - but it’s worth the wait. really impressed Will be coming back often. Highly recommend!

Really delicious food! The portions are big, I could have dinner there twice. The mango sticky rice for dessert makes it complete. Dangerous that this is on the corner from us, because we will definitely come back often!

Saowapa is a regular in our house. Amazingly tasty and authentic Thai food. We especially like the pad bai krapauw and the mango sticky rice, but every dish is delicious. The super friendly host makes it complete!

Tried it for the first time after the positive reviews. We cannot completely agree with that. Unfortunately, the typical Thai experience was missing for us. The chicken cashew nut had way too little sauce. The curry dish was okay in taste, but it was on top of the rice and had therefore already been absorbed, not a traditional curry.

Often eaten at my old work (Poppodium EKKO). Always satisfying and filling you up crazy.

Delicious food and really great service! Went for a drink at a nearby bar while waiting and was called when it was ready. When I came to pick it up, the food was already brought to me halfway through. Unprecedented service! 👌🏼 Food was also very tasty. Very aromatic and tasty. The portion was large. It is a shame that they still don't offer dine-in, but they had absolutely delicious Thai food. I ordered the Pad Phrik Khing - which was great! Plenty of herbs and spices (e.g., lemongrass, ginger) to make the dish fragrant but not overwhelmingly so. So I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that it was quite greasy (on the bottom), as the rice lied in a layer of oil. So I hope that in the future, at least this dish, will contain less oil. Even as a stir fry, there is no need to use that much oil.

Very delicious authentic Pad Thai. The owner is incredibly sweet. Just as a heads up: there is not inside seating and therefore everything is for pick up only.

The place is nice, not for dining in but perfect for takeaway. The food was good, fresh and tasty. I ordered Udon noodles and really liked them. The owner is very cool, suggested us to opt for XL in just 2 added euros as I and my partner wanted to share. 🤗

Food was very tasty. As other reviews say, servings were huge (I've split my pad thai into 2 and still felt like a big serve) and had loads of fresh veggies.

Delicious Thai. Good balanced Thai flavors and not covered in mediocre sweet and sour sauce like at some other Thai restaurants. Very friendly owner who proudly tells everything about the food and always has a chat about it. Price is slightly more expensive than average but it is more than worth it, especially since the portions are very generous (and really big eaters can always order an XL). In short: highly recommended.

Fast, friendly service. Take out only. The portions were huge, however the quality wasn't as high as I was anticipating based on reviews. Cost was 18 euros per dish. I would have preferred half the amount of food for say 12-15 euros, with more fresh vegetables and less grease.

The food wasn’t tasty, in my opinion. The rice was pretty blunt and lacked some sauce. It was also spicy, although that wasn’t indicated in the menu.

We had salmon with rice and coconut milk and crispy chicken. Both were delicious. Especially Salmon was very tasty with lemon and ginger flavours in it. The portions were very generous and fulfilling. The gentleman who took the orders was very nice and kind. It is right near the canal so you can take out the food and eat by the canal. Currently there is no option to dine-in. I would recommend this place!

I have been coming here for a very long time. The food is still good (but not as good as in the early days). The people are friendly as ever. The prices, however, have become exorbitantly high. I think 17.50 EUR for a take-away pad thai is kind of ridiculous. I'm sad to say that I won't be returning anymore.

Very authentic Thai food - at a nice and cozy corner of the city. Also very calm and minimalist internal decor. On top of these, the place is run by warm and welcoming people as well. Highly recommend the Pad Krapaw stir fry dish (with rice) and Pad Thai noodles.

Heerlijke gerechten - wel voor de bescheiden eter. De porties zijn écht te klein voor de best flinke prijs. Ik kwam hier altijd graag, maar heb geen zin om na bijna €20 uit te geven voor een hoofdgerecht nog thuis te moeten koken!!!

Je waant je hier weer even in Azië! Het kan Thailand of Cambodja zijn, maar de sfeer is heerlijk rumoerig ongedwongen, geen alcohol, wel uitstekend eten en een koude Tzai -Tai is ook erg lekker! Heerlijk gegeten na een dag hard werken.

Heerlijk Thais eten met de smaak van uit het noorden (Chiang Rai). Goede p/q.

Heerlijke verse Thaise gerechten, je krijgt grote porties. Zeker een aanrader!!!

Heerlijke pad Thai en viskoekjes waren ook erg lekker. De sfeer in het restaurant is niet geweldig het komt meer over als een soort snackbar, maar aangezien het eten erg lekker was is dat niet zo erg.

We hadden hier afgehaald, de pat sie ieuew met garnalen en de choo chee salmon. Vriendelijk personeel maar beide gerechten waren teleurstellend, vlak van smaak en niet zoals je van een Thais restaurant verwacht. Verder was de zalm droog en zaten er slechts 5 garnalen in het andere gerecht. De pat sie ieuew had enorme hompen ei en heb er zelfs zelf nog maar extra smaak aan toegevoegd. Voor ons helaas teleurstellend en de laatste keer, er zijn betere alternatieven.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst in een overweldigende kruidengeur. Dat went weliswaar snel maar kleding en haar namen het flink op. Dat vond ik minder. Het raam was zo beslagen dat naar buiten kijken onmogelijk was. We hadden de mie met garnalen. Flinke portie. Het smaakte ons prima. Was wel machtige hap door de hoeveelheid olie. Al met al: volgende keer afhalen :)

Kleine kaart met alleen maar topgerechten. Viskoekjes ook heerlijk. Vaak topdrukte, maar geen stress. Voor toetje haal je een ijsje aan de overkant bij Il Mulino

The food was good, the servings were generous and the service was really good and attentive. I had the Choo Chee salmon which was definitely well seasoned and tasty. The Original Thai Tea was odd, too sweet and dense. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a hearty, filling meal.
