Super friendly, great food and nice atmosphere. Walking distance to the Concertgebouw. Reasonable prices for Amsterdam. (since I live in Germany almost all prices in Holland are rediculous...) but worth a visit!

It's not very big, so I think reservations are a good idea. Especially if the outside area isn't open. Excellent Italian food and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

First night in Amsterdam and we sure guessed right on this restaurant choice. My wife had a really nice shrimp and artichoke risotto and I had some delicious crab filled ravioli in a shrimp bisque. Service was delightful. We chose to eat outside. It did get a bit cool so they turned on a heater for us. Thinking about going there again before we leave the city.

Absolutely loved it! One of the best risottos I’ve ever had: perfectly creamy and full of flavor. The service was amazing from start to finish - friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The terrace is one of the nicest in Amsterdam, especially on a sunny day! Drinks were perfectly balanced, the food beautifully presented, and the playlist made the whole atmosphere even better! Relaxed, stylish, and full of good energy. Completely recommend Sardegna: for a date, a dinner with friends, or just to enjoy great Italian food and warm hospitality. Thanks!

Good food and very good service but this after all not justifies the upscale price tag.

For years, we've enjoyed dining at Sardegna when we're vacationing nearby. But yesterday was a disappointment. When our drinks arrived, the waitress spilled the contents of a bottle of cola on my boyfriend and niece. We were dining with children aged 3 and 6, among others. We waited almost two hours! for our main course. The explanation was that the bread platter we had, catering to the kids' most hungry appetites, was considered a starter... but after the bread platter, we also had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes. Finally, my daughter had a chicken schnitzel. They'd poured a salt shaker over it; it was white with salt. The explanation was that it should have been on the fries. Incomprehensible; this amount of salt isn't healthy for anyone! There was no acknowledgement of our discomfort. So this was our last time at Sardegna. The food was good, but you can't enjoy it when your children have stomach aches from hunger and are lethargic.

Food was immaculate, I had the spinach ravioli, service was polite, smooth and quick, went solo and felt very welcomed! Will definitely visit when I’m back in the city!

Wonder atmosphere, staff and food. I eat here 6 years ago and enjoyed it then. My visit this time did not disappoint.

Amazing Italian recipes and a great selection of complementary wines and cocktails. It was a great dinner for a large party, everything i tried was delicious and the staff were very kind and attentive.

I’ve visited twice now, and both times have been truly wonderful experiences. We chose to sit outside on the terrace, which has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with the lights and heaters. The food was incredible and on top of that, the staff are very attentive in a way that feels genuine. Definitely a place worth visiting!

The risotto was very good! The service is good, servers are kind, and the business owner cares about his customers. I will definitely be back again in the future if I visit Amsterdam again.

The food was good but from the time we ordered, we saw new tables sitting down and getting their main course. When we asked the answer was ‘when it comes it comes’ and ‘I’m sure it’s on the way’. It got there 45 min after our appetizer. I can understand mistakes but not even an apology, unfortunate. Stars to the food only

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The cocktails were poorly made, but that was far from the biggest issue. There was a hair stuck inside the olive oil spout, and when we informed the waitress, she simply removed it with her bare hands—highly unhygienic, especially in times where cleanliness should be a top priority. To make matters worse, my friend found an insect in her food. When we raised this concern, the response from the owner was dismissive—she blamed it on the vegetables being organic, as if that justified the presence of bugs on a plate. The service was the most unpleasant part. Staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, especially one woman (possibly the owner) who responded rudely when I politely asked for empty glasses to be removed from our small, overcrowded table. Her reaction was unnecessarily hostile and made the whole table uncomfortable. Considering the poor hygiene, disrespectful service, and high prices, I strongly advise avoiding this place. If you’re looking for a nice dinner, good cocktails, or even just basic courtesy, you’re better off going somewhere else.

Friendly and hard-working staff. Food not particularly special, but tasty.

If you’re okay with waiting an hour just to get your appetizer, and then being met with arrogance from a staff member when you’ve been nothing but patient — then sure, give this place a try. The food was decent, but nothing memorable, and honestly, the poor service overshadowed everything. On the bright side, the location is nice and the street is quiet, which made the wait slightly more bearable. Overall, not worth the hype.

Ended up coming here twice during our vacation, the second time at the request of our children. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was delicious, as was the pizza parma. Wine selection is also really great as well. Kids were a huge fan of the semifreddo too. Service is good, but sometimes they don't seem to pay attention, as once we were served our digestif in the normal small cup and the next time they inexplicably made it into a spritz even though we ordered the same both times. They also didn't tell us there was the option to have bread and butter at the beginning of the meal, we saw another table get it and asked. Outdoor seating was comfortable, and underrated info but necessary: bathroom has great lighting.

Great restaurant!! Outdoor seating is very nice and comfortable. Indoor seating options are quieter. Food selection is broad and something for everyone! Great cocktail options. Servers were welcoming and made us English speakers feel right at home.

The atmosphere was good. The service varied. Starter: I think it's a shame that the shrimps were not peeled. This was on the menu. As for the taste; very tasty. Main course: Spaghetti vongole. What a delicious dish. Really recommended.

This was my first time eating here, the restaurant is very nice and clean and a good atmosphere. Everyone of the staff came at least once to our table to ask how we were doing and if the food was to our liking or to have a little talk to get to know us. We will definitely be coming back.

Sono andata in questo ristorante perché vicino all'albergo. Locale molto semplice con anche due camerieri che parlavano italiano. Il servizio è stato molto cortese. I piatti erano presentati bene. I due primi, che non ho mangiato io, hanno detto che erano buoni. La mia scaloppina era buona ma le verdure che avevo come contorno non erano molto buone in particolare i broccoli erano praticamente crudi.

Nos topamos con este restaurante y totalmente afortunados. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. El servicio era puntual. La comida era fresca con pasta casera, la pizza era deliciosa y mi marido tenía un filete que estaba a la parrilla a la perfección y tan bien saborizado. Los precios reflejaban la gran comida y la experiencia. ¡No te equivocarás parando aquí! Cócteles y selección de vinos también fueron abundantes!

Hello! Visited this restaurant 5-10 mins ago! Were seated for 5mins, and during those 5mins the hostess approached us 3 times warning our kids not to touch torcher or glass vases on the windows! I mean I understand warning us one time, but 3 times felt like we were not welcome with kids there so we had to leave! Please take this into account before going there with kids!

Vi kom forbi en fredag aften hvor der var meget fyldt. De var søde og fandt et bord til os på trods af at vi kun kunne have det i 1 time og 15 min. Der var hurtig betjening og maden smagte dejligt og det var en dejlig oplevelse på trods af den var kort. Anbefaler at booke et bord hvis man skal her hen i weekenden for at være sikker på at kunne få den fulde oplevelse.

Buscando un restaurante local para comer, me encontré con este. Parecía encantador desde el exterior y el menú publicado era prometedor. Una vez dentro, las cosas empezaron a cambiar. Mesas pequeñas, abarrotadas y frías (temperatura, pero quizás porque tengo una mesa al lado de la puerta). El servicio era amable y eficiente, pero la comida estaba por debajo de la par. Yo tenía el carpaccio pero eso era más ruccola que carne. Luego un risotto de trufa, pero estaba claro que las trufas provenían de un frasco (no fresco) y se complementaban con un poco de pasta de trufa. Muy grasoso. Tal vez deberían despedir al chef, porque para el resto tiene potencial.

What an absolutely delightful experience! We happened upon this precious place whilst walking in Amsterdam. The service was great and the restaurant was quite nice. We had the pizza and baked eggplant. We both loved it!

El mejor restaurante italiano que me ha tocado fuera de Italia. Estamos de paseo en Amsterdam y caminado en los alrededores del hotel, vimos este restaurante y llevamos dos días seguidos viniendo. Van cuatro platos que hemos probado y no sabría decir cuál es el mejor, todos se superan. Si tuviera que escoger definitivamente me iría por el Spaguetti Vongole. Pero todos han estado muy buenos. La atención es inmejorable, un sitio pequeño muy ameno y cálido. Para lo que estén esta parte de la ciudad les recomiendo 100% Sardegna.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Sardegna met een aantal vrienden, aan een grote tafel! We zijn echt in de watten gelegd door zowel Nadia als David, absolute toppers. De truffel risoto en gevulde pasta waren mijn favoriet! Zeker aan te raden door de geweldige locatie midden in het hart van Amsterdam Oud Zuid.

Heel slecht. Aardappelen heel droog, broccoli hard. Ossenhaas eerst veel ste rood en nadat ik er wat van heb gezegd kreeg ik hem doorbakken terug. Echt slecht. Ober die geen Nederlands spreekt was uitermate bot. Ik vroeg om mayonaise voor de droge aardappels. Had hij niet zei hij. Kreeg het wel later en toen na het eten zei hij dat het uiterst ongewoon was dat ik om mayonaise had gevraagd. Wilde dit restaurant nog 1 kans geven. Vorige keer viel het ook tegen. Hier ga ik dus echt niet meer heen. Het is ook nog prijzig!

Excellent food, great service, and elegant design. Only reason for 4 stars was the lack of availability for tap water.

Why such a low Rating? Because this restaurant refuses to serve tap water - even though I bought a bottle of wine! Why not serve Amsterdam’s excellent tap water for free - if requested? Look forward to a reply justifying this from the owner/management. Despite the positive experience on service and food I will not be coming here again. Shame.

So glad we found this hidden treasure. We were really disappointed with the place we walked out of and were hoping that it wasn’t symptomatic of all Italian restaurants in Amsterdam. How wrong could we be, the hostess was so welcoming and warm and found us seating in the buzzing dining area. The service was cracking and the food was incredible. The Ragu was possibly the best I’ve tried, instead of “pulled”, small chunks in a delicious sauce. The Tiramisu nicely finished off the meal beautifully. Hopefully won’t be the last time we go there. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful experience of Amsterdam’s Italian hospitality.

Wonderful place to eat the staff are super friendly and very engaging they knew the menu very well. The food was magnificent and the service was also tremendous.

Overall it was a great experience at the restaurant. My favorite dish was the smoked salmon pasta. The eggplant appetizer and the tiramisu was good as well. The burrata salad and spinach and ricotta ravioli were alright, but not as good as expected, and the red wine we chose was expensive but again didn't justify the price. The staff were nice, they lit up the tiramisu for my boyfriend's birthday and were nice throughout our experience. So we didn't have any issues as mentioned in other reviews. Overall I'd try again and just pick the items in which were the better options in our opinions as the overall quality was good.

I went there 45 minutes before closing time, but they welcomed me. The staff were very kind and friendly. The truffle risotto I had was very delicious, and the texture was clearly enjoyable because they used a generous amount of truffle. The price was also good, so I would recommend it.

We have been coming here a couple times a year for the last 15 years. Never had a bad experience. Consistent quality of the food, general cleanliness, and friendly staff keep us coming back. Is normally a quiet place to have a special meal. The staff has been helpful with wine recommendations for each course or by the bottle. We have had many of the items from the entire menu without disappointment. I really like having this little gem in our neighborhood.

They say there are so many seats, but they are all reserved so you can't sit down and eat? There was no reservation card, and the way he spoke was mocking. Above average Italian located in a pleasant neighborhood of Amsterdam. Neatly set tables with beautiful linen. Ate outside where traffic can sometimes be disturbing. Nice menu, not too extensive, but that makes the choice easier. Beautiful dishes and a wine list, the prices of which I find a bit on the high side. Staff friendly and correct. Enjoyed eating there, will come back again.

We passed this restaurant while strolling through the city today and stopped in spontaneously. After the initial shock that there was no pizza at lunchtime, we were given very friendly advice and service. The pasta was really excellent and the service was very accommodating. That also justifies the prices.

Classy place. Great food and service.

While we had absolutely delicious meal, especially the steak, the service was just not so good. You can no tap water, no extra seasoning on each table. You can tell there's no soul in the place. The "melanzana" was basically a baked tasteless aubergine, without flavor and 1 teaspoon of tomato sauce. I will only come back for the steak, but if you are looking for a nicer atmosphere I'd recommend trattoria toto not so far away.

Ate at Sardegna again yesterday. Wonderful old-fashioned hospitality. You come in and immediately feel part of the family. So nice! The nicest and tastiest Italian from Amsterdam. We will be back soon.......

Hebben hier matig gegeten, de kwaliteit die je verwacht voor deze prijzen en op deze locatie is een heel stuk hoger dan werd aangeboden. Meeste personeel spreekt geen woord Nederlands en zijn niet echt vriendelijk. Zijn echt veel betere Italiaanse restaurants te vinden in Amsterdam.

Seriously overpriced dishes, you are paying for the location. The ravioli was thick and undercooked, the sauce seemed to be made with corn starch. I will also advice to stop using rocca leaves for decoration it makes everything look cheap.

Sorry, but when you charge 17 euros for a salad (starter) you expect something tasty. Not a bone-dry piece of arugula without dressing, with four halves of cherry tomatoes next to it, some scant olives and 4 slices of cheese. You can spray balsamic vinegar from the supermarket yourself. This is a mockery. Prices are exorbitantly expensive here anyway and not in proportion to the quality of the food.

Food was great, the service from Guiseppe Marino was even greater. He gave very nice suggestions about the food and the drinks and was a very nice gentleman and host. 5 stars for the service and you have try the desserts! Gave only 4 stars for the atmosphere because there weren't a lot of people eating at the marina due to the fact it's still the low season.

Modernly furnished, neat. In the background Italian music from the 80s: out of date. Staff super sweet and helpful. However, the prices are incredibly exaggerated. Unnecessary.too expensive

Bad, expensive and the knives don't cut. The pizza 🍕 for €16 (I've had much better frozen ones) and the tomato 🍅 mozza for €15... In short, go eat elsewhere. 😠 (The bottle of water for €6.5, the soda for €5, that doesn't make you want to have dessert). And the map is ridiculously small!!

We had Pizza, Tagliatelle Beef Ragu and Scaloppina in this restaurant. The taste was exceptional and our experience was far beyond the reviews we read on Google. The staff attending to our table was very friendly too. Will definitely be back...

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful. We had the antipasto and the crab ravioli which was amazing. The wine list is excellent and a great variety of choice. I would go back in a heartbeat

While the pizzas are great, service is not. 24 minutes from the time we arrived and be seated until the time our order has been taken by a waiter. It seemed we have been simply forgotten outside. Not recommended, mainly considering the price paid.
