Very limited vegetarian options, and the new menu has even fewer. Shabu Shabu clearly shows it doesn't care for vegetarians.

Upon arrival, they didn't ask our grandchildren's ages, and they didn't offer any age-related discounts upon payment. When I complained the next day, we were treated very unfriendly and unprofessionally. I emailed the management, requesting that we bring our children's IDs. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the website! We've never had to show ID in a restaurant before! We felt the quality was already declining... so the conclusion: They've lost us as loyal, wonderful visitors!

One of the best around I can say. Fast service, freshly made delicious dishes, good price and friendly people. And its all you can eat :)

I never really post reviews. Because everyone's experience is different. But this food was just truly awful. We usually eat sushi in Zoetermeer, and this shabu doesn't even come close. Such a shame. A waste of food and a waste of money. But it was a pleasant evening with my family.

Poor service. Had to ask for wasabi several times. Lots of young people working there with little sense of service. The beer wasn't good. It had a strange flavor.

Until recently, this was my favorite restaurant, but unfortunately, my last visit was a huge disappointment. After a long time, I returned with high expectations, only to find that the restaurant was completely neglected. The restrooms were filthy, the door locks didn't work, and there were cobwebs and dust everywhere—it seemed like nobody cared anymore. The worst moment, however, was when I found a hair in my breaded shrimp. For such high prices, I expect quality and hygiene, but I absolutely didn't get that. Sadly, I now know for sure that I will never eat here again.

Ze lokken personen met een kortingsbon ivm verjaardag van 5,- daar kunnen ze het niet scannen. Dus doorverwezen naar hoofdkantoor. Ze hebben navraag gedaan en er bevestigd dat die bon niet te scannen was bij een besteding van 227,50. Ze kunnen het niet achteraf teruggeven, omdat bonnen niet te verzilveren zijn. Zo zie ik dat niet. Ik heb tenslotte ruim 200,- uitgegeven en kon deze niet uitgeven. Ze kunnen wel een nieuwe bon uitgeven voor de volgende keer. Alsof ik dat ga doen? Kunnen ze zeker weer die bon niet scannen. Nou gaat het mij niet om die 5,- maar om het principe! Ik heb hierdoor een nasmaak gekregen en ga waarschijnlijk nooit meer terug. Gelukkig zijn er genoeg andere sushi restaurants.

They're luring people in with a €5 birthday coupon, but they can't scan it. So I referred them to the head office. They inquired and confirmed that the coupon couldn't be scanned for a €227.50 purchase. They can't give it back afterward, but they can issue a new one for next time. As if I'm going to do that? Surely they can't scan that coupon again. Well, it's not about the €5, it's about the principle!

The food was really delicious, the service was great and the manager was fantastic.

Supervriendelijk personeel maar een slecht concept van all you can eat & drink in 2 uur terwijl het heel lang duurt voordat eten en drinken komt. Als je daarover klaagt komt de manager die niet voor rede vatbaar is. Hij is het standaard oneens met de klant en probeert niet eens te luisteren naar de klacht. Hij is zwaar onbeschoft en heeft nog nooit van het voeren van een normaal klantgesprek gehoord. Hierdoor hebben wij de avond met een heel vervelend gevoel afgesloten en raden wij iedereen af om hier naartoe te gaan. In Alphen zijn veel betere restaurants met professionelere managers.

Delicious sushi. Highly recommended!

Over the years, it's become much more expensive and more of a junk food place. The sushi and other food are still very tasty, though.

My husband and I come here often and will keep coming back. The food is always delicious and the staff friendly! Today I called shortly in advance and they immediately reported that the system was down and that it might take a little longer, no problem, we were in no hurry. Once we arrived, it turned out that it had already been resolved, but I saw that they had been busy with notes, so everything went smoothly.

Delicious food! We received a warm welcome and the service was smooth and friendly. The new menu is highly recommended, we really enjoyed the delicious sushi. The seared salmon was perfectly prepared, and the mini handrolls, surimi salad with mango, beef rolls and lamb chops were all top notch. What we also really appreciate is that a sesame allergy was taken into account, which gives us confidence. We will definitely come back here more often!

Can be very busy at times. However, the speed of serving is fine! Dessert buffet is not much and is simply empty at the end of the evening.

We thought it would be a romantic evening on February 14th. We had been waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes. Waited within 1 hour for 1 snack. After 2 hours we had had our first round. We received food from the wrong tables and after a lot of complaining (including the other tables) we got a 10% discount. We ran away like that. I've never experienced this before. What bad service. Way too many people inside...scandalous!

We had a delicious meal with the three of us, my one and a half year old daughter, my wife and I. We were already familiar with Shabu Shabu, but not yet with the one in Alphen aan den Rijn. It was nice to see that they had other dishes. We had not made a reservation in advance, but fortunately that was not necessary. We arrived around 5pm and luckily it was still quiet. The restaurant is spacious, making it easy to enter with a stroller. The service was fast! When the first order was placed, the first dish was on the table within five minutes. The food was delicious, I had no further comments about that. Instead of ordering your dessert there, they have a dessert bar. Unfortunately, this bar wasn't much, but what they did have was green tea and black sesame ice cream. I was very happy with that. They also had nice cocktails. My wife was very enthusiastic about the lychee cocktail. I will definitely visit here again with the family: delicious food, tasty drinks and good service.

Delicious food, not too busy and food served quickly. It's a shame that all you can drink does not always apply at an additional cost, as is often the case in the summer months.

Ruim 1 jaar geleden voor het laatst geweest. Toen was de kwaliteit nog goed. Wij gaan voor de Nigri sushi. Gisteravond geweest, wat is de kwaliteit slecht geworden. Nigri sushi bevat nauwelijks nog vis (erg dun en weinig) terwijl de hoeveelheid rijst eronder gigantisch is. Verhouding compleet weg. Ook de rijst smaakt niet goed. Blijkbaar wordt er sterk ingeboet op kwaliteit om de omzet op peil te houden. De prijs/kwaliteit is slecht. Wij gaan niet meer.

We ended up here by chance. Tasty Sushi, many different flavors than usual. Too bad you have to pay extra for some sushi. Everything was done smoothly. It was busy, reservations are recommended. Parking was also easy across the street at the hardware store.

We regularly order from Shabu and notice that the food at this location is also tastier. Today one of the employees called me because I had placed a comment on the order. Super nice gentleman and will of course come back!

Delicious food, fast service and looks good. But the thermostat could do with going up a few wires. The only thing (I think) is that you have to order via a telephone, so you always have to sit there with your phone in your hand, so this is less pleasant.

Eten was niet bijzonder, niet speciaals, steak erg vet. Maar treurig was het desserthoekje. Nergens zo slecht gezien. Armoedig aantal producten en slecht aangevuld. Very nice place. When I was here for the first time, I was stunned. So delicious food, all you can eat, nice service, everything through the phone, perfect atmosphere (not too much, but exactly at that point). I don't know what I can say more, just go there and that yourself. I hope you will enjoy that like me.

Had dinner with 2 people on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 PM. In our case, reservations were not necessary, because there was plenty of room. Friendly guided to a table. System explained with QR code. Works fine. If you have ordered food, you will have to wait 10 minutes before you can select the next dish to order. Drinks can always be ordered. You can order a maximum of 4 dishes per person at a time. You have 2 hours to order. You can then linger for another 15 to 20 minutes. During that time, you can, for example, have a cup of coffee or use the accompanying extensive dessert bar. Parking is available opposite the restaurant in the hardware store parking lot. If full, you can park in the adjacent parking garage (for a fee). All in all, a delicious meal in a relaxed setting in a cozy restaurant. Recommended to others and if we are in the area, we would eat here again. Sushi tasted good and fresh. The rolls are thicker than normal at other restaurants. We found the nori of the makis a bit stiff.

Atmospheric sushi & grill. Nice and helpful staff. The food is tasty and prepared with love for the profession. The restaurant is open to view and has room for many guests. It's neat and clean. If I'm in the area again I would definitely go here again.

Wow! Ok, the prices are a bit steep, but the options are great. The sushi was fantastic and the rice was even warm. Its clear its freshly made. My parter is vegetarian and even he was completely full. They even have a DESSERT BAR!!! The only thing to stay away from is the korean fried chicken and the stir fry udon noodles. Would not recommend... ever

Really good fresh food. I am not a sushi (read fish) lover but was invited to eat here. Even for non-fish lovers you have a lot of choice here and everything is fantastically tasty. Fast operation. Would go there again.

Nice meal. On a Saturday evening there was still room for 2 'without reservation'. It's really drafty at the window (overlooking the market square). I sat with my coat on my lap. It looks like there is single glazing. Insulation leaves much to be desired. The service is fast and nice. I think it's a shame that unnecessary additional sauces are added to all sushi dishes. Is not necessary and as such is not on the map.

I come here to eat every now and then. Sushi always tastes delicious and fresh. Nice and spacious location with enough tables. There is plenty of choice of sushi or hot snacks on the menu. You can help yourself to dessert when you've finished eating. Staff are always friendly.

The sushi was a bit stale in terms of filling and a bit stale. There are much better takeaway options (e.g. Sushi Alphen). One of the few sit-down restaurants that is also open on Mondays. Too expensive for what you get.

Price on the high side, but the food was delicious. Order system is convenient and fast!

The food here is always delicious. I almost never give 5 stars, but in terms of food that is appropriate here. You can order everything easily and quickly using an app (previously you used a tablet) and it will then be brought to your table. All food deliciously fresh. All you can eat and also plenty of options for desserts. The atmosphere is always cozy with Japanese-style interior, friendly staff and plenty of seating.

Nicely decorated restaurant, nice atmosphere and even though it was almost full, no noise and conversation was possible and yet private. Delicious food, all you can eat, excellent sushi. The desserts looked delicious, so I skipped them, full is full. Highly recommended if you want to chat with friends for a few hours or have an intimate conversation with delicious food in between. Ordering is done via a QR code.

The best of the best, a la carte buffet. Very good taste, very good quality of food. Everything hot and fresh. We ordered the all-inclusive buffet with drinks, for €45 per person.

Nice restaurant in the Baronie shopping center. Easy to reach by different means of transport, parking nearby. Quite a large restaurant and attractively decorated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is excellent! The only disadvantage is that it can be very noisy when it is busy. The food is good, something for everyone.

Food good, but much has the same taste because of the garnish. The older employees are very friendly. The young staff barely looks at you and doesn't say anything, but quickly puts your food on the corner of the table.

Favourite sushi place, so many dishes to choose from. The calpis is must get drink. Nigiri is really good especially flamed ones.

Always been a huge fan of Shabu, but disappointed after yesterday. They have started saving on ingredients on some products and you can immediately notice and taste that. For example: the meat in the duck bao has been replaced from juicy duck slices with a dry and tough meat that simply does not taste like duck. The beef bao the meat was dripping with water. Hopefully they look at these reviews and do something about it, otherwise I'm afraid I won't be coming here again. So.. food: disappointing. Service and atmosphere: excellent.

Ik werd in het restaurant ziek na het eten van 2 happen rijst en een hap van een loempia. Ik ben naar huis vertrokken en mijn gezelschap is gebleven. Ik vind het dan schandalig dat mijn gezelschap alsnog de volledige prijs voor mij moet betalen terwijl ik na 2 happen al ziek werd. Slechte service. Dit is nog aangegeven dat ik ziek er van geworden ben en naar huis ben gegaan
