I went inside for the first time and it was nice and warm inside and the staff who work there are great and the food was fantastic, tastes perfect.

I recently discovered this place, and the food has been fantastic so far. The people who work there are also really nice and welcoming. Highly recommended!

When I walked in, it immediately smelled unpleasant. The atmosphere was unpleasant: people were grumpy and unfriendly. I didn't like the food, just like at Mesut 1. The space was bare and lacked any atmosphere, which made the atmosphere even more unwelcoming.

The food never was much. It is alright but that is about it. But they used to make you feel welcome. Offering Turkish tea or whatever. Nowadays, I got the excuse there is no tea anymore. I mean, really? The smallest gesture after ordering a big meal is to much? They should go out of business for that attitude. It is a big f u towards the customer

I went there and I asked for a large shaorma. More than half of the pitta was filled with salad and barely any meat was on it... after I asked if they had accidentally put too little meat they said it was their usual portion. When I almost finished the pitta there was 1/4 pitta there was no meat nor salad. I asked if they could add some more meat or salad and they told me it was their usual portion. Service very unfriendly and way too little food. Really would not advice this place. Unfortunately since the meat did taste good it was just way too little...

The shawarma was bone dry. Not even a lettuce leaf, little sauce. Very expensive, 9.50, for a shawarma sandwich. I will never go here again and strongly advise against it. Walk around this place with a wide berth!!!!!!!

After long hesitation given some reviews, we decided to visit from Utrecht. Ordered 2 shawarma sandwiches without lettuce, super tasty. Service quality super, garlic sauce very tasty and fresh. Just drop by and convince yourself, the shawarma is super tasty.

Wir haben für den einfachen und schnellen Hunger einen Döner to go gesucht. Dieser hat wirklich nichts mit einem altbekannten Döner aus Deutschland zu tun (lediglich Fleisch und Kopfsalat). Saucen werden separat mitgegeben. Das Essen war trotzdem super lecker! Zudem ist hier wirklich die Hölle los, das Essen ist qualitativ sehr hochwertig. 9,50 Euro ist mir dieser Döner jedoch nicht wert, dafür war er zu klein.

The people who know this place they know how a good shoarma taste! For years the best in town. The 3.8 score is underrated.

So you pay 23.50 for a mixed grill while you don't even get a whole chicken fillet. Cut the chicken fillet through the middle to resemble a piece of skin. Chicken wings that look like nothing and a little meat + soggy fries with a little rice. Never again!

Qualité prix top! Restaurant turc me rappelant ceux de la chaussée de Haecht à Bruxelles. Les portions des plats sont copieuses, les sauces dans des plats séparés aussi. On n'est pas dans la toute grande finesse culinaire mais c'était très bon (plat de falafel et plat shoarma), et pour le prix rien à redire.

I worked 17 hours today, and these guys made me a chicken kebab and a lamb kebab, they had a lot of work, a lot of people, and for having waited longer than necessary they gave me 2 rice puddings. Honestly, the best kebab and rice pudding I've had in Europe. I seriously recommend it. I do really apréciate, is the first kebab store who provides quality instead of quantity. 👏 👏 👏 👏

I got my order from Uber Eats. Everything was actually amazing. Spiced very well. Fresh pita. They even wrap the sauces separate from the sandwiches to keep them from getting soggy on delivery.

Sfeer was goed gezien het tijdstip van de nacht. Dan zijn veel mensen nu eenmaal war luiddruchtiger. Broodje shoarma besteld. Smaak van het vlees was helemaal top. In eerste instantie het broodje ook maar naarmate ik aan de laatste happen toe kwam was het broodje sompig. Iets dat je bij een gewone platte pita minder ervaart.

Lots of traditional Turkish food on the menu, but everyday they have 2 different options cooked. And soup. You can have them with white rice or fries, one of the options of a mix of both. Get the Ayran!

On the recommendation of a friend, we went to eat capsalone. Shoarma on potatoes was an amazing taste. We also bought a mixed kebab with it. Although I can't say that the meat quality was perfect, it was above average. The price performance was very good. Such a price balance in the middle of Amsterdam was quite nice.

Mesut bezoek ik al zolang als Mesut bestaat. De tent heeft sinds kort nieuwe eigenaren en koks. Voorheen was Mesut voor mij zonder meer een van de beste grill restaurants van Amsterdam. Zo is dat jarenlang geweest en de reden dat ik hier elke week te gast was. Tot aan gisteren. Ik zat met vrouw en kind op het terras. De ober arriveerde en hij sleepte een walm van penetrant schoonmaakmiddel met zich mee. Toen het eten arriveerde bleek echt alles naar schoonmaakmiddel te ruiken: de saus flessen, het eetgerei, de borden en zelfs mijn broodje. Ik ben naar binnen gegaan en heb gezegd dat ik mijn broodje echt niet kon eten. De jarenlange trouw aan Mesut werd echter "beloond" met onbeschoftheid. De uitbater stelde dat ik gratis wilde eten, dat de schoonmaakmiddel-geur flauwekul was, etcetera. Ik vroeg aan de ober in bijzijn van de uitbater of hij de hele dag met schoonmaakmiddel aan het spuiten was. De ober knikte. Vrouw en kind hadden echter wel hun portie gegeten. Bij afrekenen stond mijn onaangeroerde broodje gewoon op de kassabon! De beste man heb ik toen laten weten dat hij kon kiezen: of ik betaal zou niets betalen of hij zou onmiddelijk mijn broodje van de rekening halen. Wijselijk koos hij voor de laatste optie. Na jarenlang hier klant te zijn geweest sluit ik dit hoofdstuk af. Fouten kunnen overal gemaakt worden, onbeschoftheid van een restaurant bij een klacht is echter over de grens van fatsoen en tijd om een ander restaurant te zoeken. In dezelfde straat is Sefa te vinden. Binnenkort daar maar een bezoekje aan brengen, omdat het eten nog een stukje beter is dan Mesut-oude-stijl. Jammer dat een tent zo kan degraderen als er van eigenaar wordt gewisseld.

Komen wij dus voor het eerst in Amsterdam met een paar collega’s en willen we een broodje döner eten. Naar advies van de taxi zijn we bij deze “shoarma” tent uitgekomen. Gaan we dus zitten, en ja, je raad het wel, geen shoarma maar een broodje gehakt. Naar lang zeuren toch het broodje “gehakt” opgegeten. Al met al toch een geslaagde avond.
