I'm not sure if it's worth the money or the worst breakfast I've ever had... this is just not enough. The women's restroom was a mess. It would be great if you paid a little more attention to cleanliness.

I kept saying I'd comment, but I forget. The mememen I had for breakfast was one of the most unpleasant. Last month, I went for dinner with my guests, and it was both expensive and not worth the price. The staff was also very interesting. There was a waiter named Hasan, a snobbish, and he was yelling at the waiters. His manager, a sullen man at the cash register, was constantly foul-mouthed and uttering insults. He was talking about marrying a Bulgarian woman, bullying others, and using profanity. At one point, a dark-skinned man emerged from the kitchen, saying unspeakable things about the female waiters, and I think he was smoking a cigarette. It's a place where such strange, uncouth, foul-mouthed, and malicious people work. Of course, when you see it not just once but several times, you can't forget it. :) The boss should also be congratulated for bringing together so many interesting people. Oh, and there's a veiled woman (I don't know her name) who would yell in the mornings, constantly accusing the staff of theft, saying things like, "This one's lost, that one's lost." I haven't been there in months since I witnessed this. May God grant patience to the innocent workers here and the customers who witnessed this.

We booked Sortie after our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. What lovely people, who were so helpful with everything from service to lunch. Everything was taken care of perfectly. Thank you all, and a special thank you to dear Gülten.

I used to eat at this restaurant regularly, and it was okay back then. Yesterday, after a long time, I went back and was very disappointed. I noticed it was practically empty on a Saturday night. Now I understand why. We ordered three kofte dishes. They were served quickly, but that was the only positive. As soon as we started eating the kofte, we noticed a raw, wet, ground meat taste on the inside, while the outside had become almost dry from grilling at high heat. We immediately raised this with the waitress. She suggested having it re-grilled, but we explained that this wouldn't solve the problem. The waitress then asked us if we could swap it for a chicken dish. We thought that would be a better idea. While we ordered three dishes, we only received one chicken dish and the same two kofte dishes, but garnished. It was still raw. The waitress indicated that she warns people not to order this kofte dish. Remove it from the menu, or find a solution? Isn't it delicious at other restaurants? After all, it's one of the most standard dishes on a Turkish restaurant menu. Without having enjoyed our meals at all, and even feeling nauseous, we went to the cash register to pay. The waitress brazenly wanted to charge us the full amount, including the three kofte dishes. We then explained that we couldn't eat the kofte. She then gave us a 30% discount because of the vegetables and rice in the dish. Still not worth the money. We will never go here again and advise against it if you're looking for a good meal.

With a smile from the staff and delicious, warm, fresh rolls, we enjoyed our menemen. We'll definitely be back and highly recommended.

We stopped in spontaneously for dinner. The service was friendly. The appetizer platter for two and two salads (avocado and coban) were very tasty, but also a lot. We highly recommend a visit.

I was here yesterday, and the service was truly terrible. Two women in headscarves were more focused on their phones than the customers. I had to keep waiting for them to finish their messages. The women's faces weren't very cheerful either. I definitely won't be coming back!

My wife and I went for breakfast. The view and location are nice, but the meze are of poor quality, few in number, and a bit pricey. The worst part is that you pay 9 euros for menemen. It's as if they forgot to add the eggs. If you buy them in bulk, a 20-piece pack costs around 6 euros. I don't understand why they don't break two eggs. As you can see in the photo, it's breakfast for two and the state of the menemen. Thankfully, the waiter was very respectful, so I won't say much.

Very nice shop and friendly service

Had the Adana Kebab as a Take-away. While waiting, the manager gave us some lovely tea to sip. The atmosphere is wonderful, right on the water. The kebab was very well spiced, not spicy 🔥 but flavored wonderfully. The rice was delicious. Vegetables perfect and a nice mix. The bread was probably made in the restaurant, fluffy and chewy. I need to return for the meze!

After not being here for a while, I thought I'd eat here this time. Upon entering, I was completely ignored by several employees, even though it was quiet. After we'd been sitting at our table for a while, the ignoring continued while the employees were just chatting amongst themselves, making it too quiet for a Saturday night. I finally called someone and asked if we could order. The food arrived quickly, but for the price we paid, there was far too little on the plate. The food was disappointing, even though I'd had a good meal there before. The chicken soup tasted awful, and the vegetables, especially the carrots, were too raw! The rice was overcooked, and the chicken was grilled far too short, almost raw. Nothing was properly seasoned; everything tasted bland! The menu is too limited. I wondered what had happened to the restaurant? The food was absolutely awful! The employees didn't even bother to engage in conversation, for example, "Did you enjoy your meal?" or "Sorry for the wait." They were just very dry and curt! They didn't even look friendly. This was also the last time.

Breakfast with five people was wonderful and enjoyable. The service was very friendly—highly recommended and we'd gladly return!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. You really sit just like on the boat in the lake. The food was very delicious, but be careful the portions are quite big ( it won't be a mistake to take children's size if you're not very hungry). There are incredibly big choices of the deserts here. So many AMAZING cakes. Also they have fantastic traditional Turkish desserts which are gonna have beautiful taste with classic Turkish tea. The waiters speak very politely and have good English skills, so won't have problems with explanations. I really would recommend this restaurant to visit if you're gonna be in this area of Amsterdam.

Food was completely prepared as requested in advance, tasted very good. Only the Borek was a bit salty. I found the coffee too strong, but other dishes were delicious and very varied. The staff was very busy, so you sometimes had to wait a bit longer for service. Definitely worth it! Also a nice view of the sea.

A wonderful place to have a nice comfort meal with fair prices. Our coffees came with a stroop waffle biscuit too which was a nice touch :) The restaurant was clean with a pretty view being on the water.

Never had such an expensive iced coffee! Even in the city center this is cheaper. You order an iced coffee without having seen the menu because you assume "normal" prices. If I had seen these prices beforehand I would have gone somewhere else. €9 for a glass of milk with espresso and a few ice cubes! Really not okay. I will not come back.

to dine for sure nice because done it once and then it was really affordable for what you got and tasty! now 2 x cake(s) 2x ice tea and 2 large (in my opinion normal) cups of tea 32.40 the cake could have been bigger for 7.95 and 8.95 could have bought a cake 30 meters away that would have been really fresh and the tea could have been a bit less expensive. after all this can't be the production costs But the lady is extremely friendly that the young man can still learn something from.

Food is very delicious but the service is sooo bad

I would like to express my deep shock at my visit to this restaurant! From the moment we entered, no one came to ask us what we wanted to order. We were completely ignored and our table was not even looked at, as if we did not exist. The service was not only bad, but downright disappointing! I asked for bread three times before it was finally brought and even then it was put on the table without a single word. No "sorry for the wait", no "please", nothing! When we finished eating, we sat there for a while while the waiter stood nearby without doing anything. Finally I went to her myself to ask her to clean the table. She did come, but after cleaning there was still salt, spices and food leftovers on the table!!!! As if that was not enough, I spoke to the manager. His response was: "It's like this this time, we are not normally like this." Excuse me??!!!!!!! I came here, paid a considerable amount, should I feel like I'm eating here for free????? While I was explaining my complaint, the manager called the waiter and they started speaking Turkish together! I said that I don't understand Turkish and asked if they could speak Dutch. The waiter then literally said: "I know you don't speak Turkish" and yet they just continued in Turkish! Really disrespectful. Finally the manager said that the solution was that we could drink tea for free!!!!!!!!! What an embarrassing experience! Bad service, unprofessional behavior and above all: discrimination, just because I don't have a Turkish background. We live in 2025 and people are still treated unequally based on their origin. Scandalous and totally unacceptable! If this restaurant only wants to receive Turkish customers, they should indicate this immediately and ask for their nationality when making a reservation!😏

This is a cafe & restaurant with a great view. There are a lot of locals here and the coffee is smooth and delicious. The staff was also friendly.

I heard that the food was good wouldn’t recommend the cakes that we had. The Sebastian cake was drowning in really cheap chocolate and the baklava you can get at any Turkish bakery.

We have been coming here a few times and only once were we offered tea, and that was when we ate a higher amount of food. Officially, there is a resistance not to be offered tea, the table is not gathered specifically so that we can ask for something else. It's very obvious. It's really sad, it doesn't suit you.

Enjoyed the delicious food this afternoon with 3 people. The service is very friendly and helpful. We didn't finish everything, but the waitress brought it neatly packed for the next day. Lots of choice. Recommended.

I'm only commenting on the breakfast because we only had breakfast. In my opinion, the price and performance are lower than other venues in Amsterdam. Neither the varieties nor the quality are very nice. They provided plenty of everything, but some things were missing. Eggs were not fresh, pastry types and quantities were few. We had better breakfasts for the same money. We didn't have much to do with the service because we only got the mixed breakfast. No one came to our table and asked if everything was okay. Maybe they are better with food but the breakfast was below average.

Long story short. Very shocked by coffee prices of 6 euros per person. This is a money grab and an absolute no go!

During our three days in Amsterdam, we ate breakfast and some dinners here because it was very close to our hotel. Four of us were well fed with the breakfast for two, the variety of the breakfast is truly admirable. The small presentations added to breakfast are impressive. Everything was very delicious and clean, and the prices were very reasonable. It was also nice to enjoy eating by the pool while watching the water. It gets very crowded on Sundays, I recommend you go early for breakfast in case you can't find a place. It was very good for us to come across such a nice Turkish restaurant during our travel. We would also like to thank the restaurant owner, Mr. Burhan, who took care of us when he learned that we were from Turkey, for his warmth and hospitality, and we wish him good luck.

Menemen tastes perfect, service is excellent and they are immediately ready for service and Atmosphere not too busy here! This restaurant deserves one star in addition to five!

Heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer groot ontbijt voor heel weinig kosten. Verse producten en ruim uitgeserveerd. De medewerkers doen hun werk op de achtergrond en zijn zeer service gericht. De locatie is aan het water wat het nog gezelliger maakt. De tijd vliegt voorbij! Enorm genoten van dit heerlijke ontbijt.

Very tasty!!! Cozy atmosphere, good location on the lake, ordered breakfast for two, the portion is huge, even 3 people will be able to eat. Delicious Turkish tea in traditional glasses and plates. It was very crowded on Sunday morning, take that into account and better reserve a table in advance I recommend!!!

The ambience is really nice but the service was really not good. We had to wait a very long time for them to come to us, even though they were walking back and forth the whole time and saw us. Then we had to call the staff ourselves.

Had Iftar at Sortie last night with my bestie. Upon arrival, a beautifully set table was ready with bowls of sweets. The soup came in a small bowl that was half full, the taste was delicious. Then the trouble started, a group with a terribly whining mutt/child took a seat. The relaxed Ramadan atmosphere had disappeared as quickly as 2024. The screeching went through my marrow and bone, then they also let the little rascal run through the restaurant at a speed that Max Verstappen would be jealous of. The main course was delicious, but it's a pity that the staff speaks poor/no Dutch. After enjoying a delicious lemon sorbet, the evening ended with coffee and Turkish tea. Final conclusion: Nice restaurant with delicious food.

A restaurant build on the water with its own shisha lounge. I liked a lot of the mediterranean dishes, but thought some other dishes were expensive/bad quality. Good place to grab some lunch/to meet with friends.

Such zero service does not suit such a beautiful place. I think someone should see this now... I asked for tea, the guys on duty are not interested in the customers, dessert arrived, no one left a knife, I got up and bought it myself. I haven't lost anything, but such a premium restaurant & cafe has 0 service. What can I say, I'll probably take my food with me when I go home again.

A little pricey. I decided to get some cakes and some fries as takeaway. Ambiente is appealing. The service lady was friendly. The food was fine, but I paid about 25€ for three cakes and a small sized portion of fries. That is about 7€/ cake and 4€/ fries. That is a bit too much.

A very nice Turkish restaurant. We stayed in Amsterdam for 3 days and had breakfast here every morning. A wonderful place by the lake. The employees are friendly, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable. Breakfast for 2 people, 1 tea samovar costs 32 EUR. You are getting too full. I recommend.

The food was great, the service was friendly and hospitable. It is a very nice place with a cozy atmosphere, ideal for a night out. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

Not very bad but not really tasty either. As a starter we had mix meze which was tasty. And we had a sortie mix as a main course. Lamb chops were not grilled properly, they were almost raw and pieces of lamb were very hard.

Amazing Turkish breakfast... Price is acceptable for that good food.

I would like to see a response from Sortie to the latest review in which it is said that remains of other people's plates were collected to make a new plate breakfast. This really scares me as we were also present at the time and saw the commotion happening, but did not understand what it was about. I assume a customer doesn't just make this up...

I always came here for breakfast. Was always very tasty! Until I was waiting for a spot at the checkout last week, I saw a gentleman in the kitchen using his hands to grab leftovers from already used/eaten plates for a new breakfast for someone else. Shocked.

I have visited many times at different times. The food tastes very nice. If you are looking for a real Turkish kebab restaurant, do not go to any other restaurant because this is the right address. The interior design of the restaurant is very stylish and decent. The employees are both friendly and very polite. They offered refreshments almost every time I visited. If you want to invite someone, you will not regret it and you will always leave happy. Food always came on time. Important note: Even though you eat kebab, the air cleaning quality of the place is very good, the smell of kebab will never get on your clothes, and this smell will never be found indoors. I have been satisfied with all my visits so far. Another important note: their meals are generous.
