Had a wonderful evening here for the second time! The nice thing about this restaurant is that you are truly welcomed as a guest and served as such all evening. The chef comes by the table to check if everything is alright, and the hostess and wait staff are very attentive. A nice detail (besides the delicious food, of course) is that you aren't rushed: no time slots (thank god!) and no crammed tables. In short: a restaurant with top-quality food, a lovely location, and great service! And they even had a super sweet gift for the birthday girl!

The menu is very appealing, making it difficult to choose. They also have a very good wine selection. It was also very nice that the owner personally checked in to see if everything was alright.

What a fantastic experience on Koninginneweg. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. The oysters on their bed of ice were truly fresh and refined. Suitably situated on a cozy corner (with parking spots in Amsterdam!), the creative design and lovely decor of this restaurant are just the beginning of a superb culinary experience. The freshness of the dishes, exciting menu with imaginary preparations and accommodative staff, all combine to make this a more than worthwhile visit. And for us, worth many repeats!

What a delightful place! The whole experience was very unique, their terrace is lovely, and the interior of the restaurant stunning. Service was friendly, welcoming, and cheerful since we arrived, and both our drinks and food were very good. Do not leave without trying their Umami oysters, Irish are my favourites but these are Irish with a twist (as them about it). We also tried the mussels, the dover sole, and their take on pasta vongole, all delicious, oh and almost forgot to mention their side of spinach salad with an unbelievable ammount of truffels! All in all the best fish restaurant we have had in Amsterdam lately.

Simply Fish is our go to seafood restaurant in Amsterdam. We have been coming here for years and it consistently delivers. The fish is always fresh, well prepared, and uncomplicated in the best way. Service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed without feeling touristy. Every visit has been reliable, which is why we keep coming back whenever we are in the city.

We had a delicious meal. We had indicated in advance, both in writing and by phone, that we didn't eat shellfish. We were told it wouldn't be a problem. Then, upon arrival, we were asked four times if we didn't eat shellfish, and four times we were told we were. Then our first course arrived, and lo and behold: WITH shrimp. The waiter didn't quite understand (or didn't understand at all). This irritated us a bit, and we apologized twice. It all worked out in the end, and we had a great meal. We think the price of a bottle of water is way too high, but we're not the only ones.

I was very pleased to have dinner at this wonderful edifice of a restaurant, yesterday, Saturday the 27th of December, 2025. It was most enjoyable on every level imaginable. The service was impeccable, the food sublime, and delicious beyond comprehension at times. I had just landed from Abu Dhabi, to visit my Dutch relations, along with taking a Dutch friend of mine out-for-dinner. What better place than “Simply Fish?” None I think. It’s such a shame that I’ve been frequenting Amsterdam 7-8 times a year, every year, since January 2018, always staying in Oud Zuid, during my weekend stays or slightly longer vacations, and I’ve never been to this restaurant, even though I walk pass it on a daily basis. Shoutout to our 3 waiters, whom I did not have the pleasure of knowing their names, but I believe they were all local Dutch people, and all blonde, be it the two wonderful ladies that catered to our table, or the attentive gentleman. I truly hope that my humble token of appreciation, in the form of a €300 tip was not cheap of me, and do hope that it made their day in some little way. It’s people like them, that make people like myself, wholeheartedly recommend the place, and come back for more. A must-visit, a must-try, and highly recommended. A five star establishment through and through.

I wouldn’t suggest the set menu because the choices are limited and it feels a bit boring. Ordering individual dishes gives a better experience. The food is good overall, but for the price, there are better options elsewhere. The cod dish was quite plain. On a positive note, the staff provided excellent service and were very attentive throughout the meal

This was our second time eating at Simply Fish. The first time, just the two of us, was a wonderful experience. A warm welcome and attentive service. This time, on December 8th, there were four of us, including our two children. And what a disappointment! The young man serving us didn't look at us and walked around looking bored. We didn't feel welcomed. This "bored" behavior is unworthy of a restaurant of this caliber. Moreover, we missed an amuse-bouche—which seems fitting for a restaurant in this price range.

We've dined at Simply Fish several times and have never been disappointed. On the contrary, we thoroughly enjoyed it again. Fresh ingredients, carefully prepared, and very tasty. The service is also perfect. The interior is tastefully and warmly decorated. We'll definitely be back!

What a feast it was this afternoon! A perfect combination of scallops and beautifully crispy sweetbreads, turbot with a very special spinach ravioli, perfect! And a delicious sabayon, wonderful flavors, excellent service, and a special host and warm hostess! If you feel so at home the first time, you have to go back; we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I've mentioned it before: in my opinion, by far the best fish restaurant in Amsterdam... The most delicious lobster bisque ever to start. The sole, turbot, and cod were once again fantastically prepared with a frothy, finger-licking beurre blanc, accompanied by delicious butter lettuce, vegetables, and crispy fries. The wines are as varied as you like, but they all complement the flavors presented on the plate. Simply Fish!

Magic!! The pearl of Amsterdam. What a fantastic establishment. The late Pietro Tramontin celebrated his life there, and we're following his example—what a sensation. The food and wines complement each other perfectly, and the wonderful service makes it an unforgettable experience. For us, the number one in Amsterdam is certainly due to the excellent acoustics. Such an interesting palette of flavors - words cannot describe! - dessert! I ate such a dessert for the first time in my life. It was served in a wine glass. The dessert itself is a masterpiece. A real find in Amsterdam. Tucked away at the end of Vondel Park, we've been back many times and this places never ever gets it wrong! You will not eat a fresher/better sashimi. The Fruits de Mer is incredible. The Dover sole, outstanding. The terrace is large and they DO open for lunch some days, but the restaurant also has huge windows that allow an indoor/outdoor feel while eating in the restaurant.

A fantastic evening in a great ambiance and service was tops. Food prepared with care and bubbling flavors, from oysters to dessert. Absolutely exquisite food and extensive good wine list. The Lobster Bisque is absolutely the best ever. Dishes are relatively expensive but what the heck it is the dining experience that matters. Visit of the Master Chef was appreciated as his tips fir finishing touches to dishes. The young staff were relatively inexperienced which caused some frustration but the charm did overly compensate.
