This is the tastiest place you can eat lunch in Amsterdam. They’re super friendly and the chicken pita is out of control. Highly recommend

The Grandma's Chicken pita was delicious. So good, I forgot to take a picture before I ate half of it. But this is it, comes with soft seasoned chicken and veggies.

I don’t think I’ll ever taste a pita that can possibly top this masterpiece. From fluffy chewy pita bread to fresh toppings and a hefty amount of juicy chicken, it’s absolutely stunning. Not to mention that the falafels are incredibly flavorful and the team is always lovely. Thank you <3

What a gem! We stepped in out of the cold into a lovely world of pita and falafel. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff kind and thoughtful, checking our spice tolerance before they served us the spicy chicken pita. We were given green tea on the house which was very kind. Stop by here after going to the museums - it’s a short walk!

Amazing experience. I had the grandmother's chicken pita, I have rarely eaten something so good and healthy in my entire life. I had some falafels on the side, just the best of my life. I could do the 400km from France just to eat in this restaurant one more time.

Haptpened to visit the place when I was just about to get hangry. Glad I found this. Grandma's epic chicken was "Epic" in true sense. Very humble and friendly people are running the place. Got a homely vibe. Keep it up! 🔥

It was a nice pita but the dressing could have been more rich. The chicken was nice and pita bred too, overall it was a pleasurable experience.

Like many a regular customer, I was gravely disappointed when Sir Hummus closed and was replaced by Sir Pita. After all, they had offered what was undoubtedly by far the best Hummus in Amsterdam, if not the Benelux. BUT despair not. After deciding we'd give the pitas in Sir Pita a try, we were first relieved, then increasingly enthusiastic. Those pitas are so delicious. The steamed bread is just amazing, so soft and tasty. We are regulars again!

Very tasty! Got the chicken and the falafel and added eggplant to the falafel. Both were great sized portions - nice easy lunch option after a day at the museums. Chicken was my pick of the two. Nice clean bathroom too.

Each Pita sandwich costs less than €10 and they are very delicious. It's a shame that the offer is limited to 3 different ones (but that saves you from having to spend a lot of time deciding). Highly recommended.

Pretty atmosphere!! Delicious food!!

We had chicken and falafel and they were so delicious. The pitas themselves were perfect, not too thick, not too thin, they didn't fall apart. They keep them nice and moist. Highly recommended.

Wow! How utterly disappointing!! Sir Hummus has undermined its USP by no longer serving 'Hummus', and instead shifted to compete 'head to head' with Maoz, et al. The last thing Amsterdam needs is yet another Falafel sandwich shop, particularly when Maoz does a masterful job already. Your hummus bowls (and secret sauce) were nothing short of AWESOME, and sadly you have now created disenfranchised customers through this transition!

Found this place accidentally and decided to give it a try! Well, it was worth it! The plates came in different sizes, the hummus was prepared fresh and the taste was very good, especially the pita! I am giving 3 stars because this is not the same place anymore and it is not fair to use the same stars for a totally different food menu without notifying!

Very good reviews online, but I was disappointed with the sandwich. The falafel wasn't anything special, the bread gets soggy quickly and the tahini sauce wasn't tasty.

Super disappointed that Sir Hummus has changed. The quality of the pita bread has gone down—this tasted like a soggy pancake. There was also no option to order hummus, which had previously been, in my opinion, the best in town. Won’t be ordering here every week like I used to, if at all.

Worthy successor to Sir Hummus. When I learnt about the end of Sir Hummus, I was disappointed. I lowered the expectations before trying Sir Pita, which although what Sir Hummus has transformed into, I was still a bit skeptic. But oh boy I was so wrong , there pita sandwiches are worth dying for. Absolutely fantastic! Your piece of Jerusalem food in Amsterdam!! For me the best falafel in The Netherlands!

Best Hummus I tried. Not all options were available. Not sure because this is the last week as they will change their business model. I would definitely go back and try the new format. Their food is good. Service is just ok.

We stopped in here between museum visits and I’m so glad we did. Their Jerusalem chicken, fresh pita, and whipped hummus are to die for. I felt like I was living in the Middle East again. I couldn’t get enough of their special sauce either! Super friendly staff, fast casual, cute little spot. Would come back here again and again.

Super small and very cute restaurant, you order up front and they bring your order to the table. Took the falafel wrap and the homemade mint lemonade and both of them were extremely delicious. A great lunch spot if you’re going to one of the museums nearby and want to get away from the crowds for a bit. The staff was super nice too

The falafel wrap is really very good!

The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the hummus plater with jerk chicken and an extra pita bread. Remember to get the two sauces on the side (they're usually on the table). Light green is lemon garlic and the dark green is spicy. Staff was nice and kind and they bring the food to you after you place the order at the counter. I'd try the wrap next time.

Very good falafel ... the regular size hummus bowl is big enough to share with two if you are not really hungry .. they have the fluffiest pita bread I have ever had ... very nice customer service as well. You can buy good quality tahini there too to make your own hummus at home 😋

By far the best Falafel, i ever ate. İ was there with two friends, which were not falafel fans. We just selected this place, because it is one of the closest one. After we ate our falafels, they are now falafel lovers

Best hummus i've had so far in Amsterdam, and I've had quite a few. The standard portion size is for a very hungry person, and comes with tiny salad, 2 pitas and pickles. Service is kind. One could also opt for a smaller or larger portion of hummus. The only suggestion I have is adding a bit of tahini on the side for the salad.

I think we made a mistake with the dish: we got the takeaway bowl and only got hummus on a big paper plate when we thought we were getting a big salad. Small disappointment even if the hummus was good.

We came to this place right before the closing time when were craving for a good falafel and hummus. This place really delivered and met our expectations from a good hummus and a good falafel. I’d like a little bit more generously seasoned hummus and more pickles as a side. I loved their falafels and my guest loved their falafel wrap. We will go back and recommend. Hummus and falafel are the cheapest options in Middle East for a tasty meal. I was expecting a lower price for that reason. 4/5 stars for pricing.

Value for money, not bad for Dutch prices and delicious.

The service was okay but the prices we found a bit high taking into account that the tables are really tight packed together, the wooden chairs are not that comfortable. So all together the design is simple but nice. However another issue is that there is no WIFI, which is not acceptable from my opinion.

It has a silky texture, which is nice, but the acidity is very low. A strong sauce is needed to increase the acidity.

Superlekker eten en vriendelijk personeel. Toch vind ik dat je als je een sticker met “vegan friendly” op de deur hebt staan, niet extra mag vragen voor plantaardige melk (50 cent!). Dat is echt niet meer van deze tijd.

Delicious food and incredibly kind staff. I ordered the standard size hummus bowl with chicken. It came with some Israeli salad, 2 fresh pitas and pickles & green olives. There portion size is perfect, the bowl can even be shared if you aren’t too hungry. There is great seating both indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend!

Whatever you order, mind-blowing. My personal favorite is the hummus bowl, the big portion is truly big, no matter how hungry your eyes might feel. Nice to get take away and sit by the canal those two days in the year when the weather allows it
