Lila in Haarlemmerbuurt

To be honest, I feel it’s overpriced. Wraps for 12€… any extra you get for 3€, a portion of fries for 6€, sauces for 1.5€! For a wrap and fries you end up paying 25€, it’s crazy. Just down the street you can find LeSud which sells tastier wraps for 6.5-8€… It’s not that Lila has bad food, it’s tasty enough, but the price just makes it a 2-star for me.

Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I tried to find shwarma all around Amsterdam and this place did not disappoint! Highly recommend for anyone to try! They are passionate about their food and it clearly shows!

Got a “shawarma” but the chicken is amazing but the meat not so good it’s really wet. I am Jordanian and we have good shawarmas and I’ve never seen onions on shawarma. But anyways the lettuce was good and honestly I’d rate the shawarma a 8/10 not bad. But the falafel sandwich was amazing honestly best falafel sandwich in Amsterdam. The hummus was good but ask for bread they give one little slice. Service was amazing and kind. Honestly good but probably would come back for the falafel not shawarma.

The food was okey but the meat is very bland. Also charging extra for a piece of bread after a 70€ order isn’t great.

Had the worst shawarma in my life. Although the service was nice unfortunately the shawarma was a wrap of plain meat and lettuce.

I've been here twice now and am in love with the wraps. Out of all of them the one with halloumi is the best. Thanks to the cheese, hummus and spices that they use. My friends also loved the falafel and chicken options. A great place with great food.

Had really good reviews and looked good from what I could see when I kept passing the store in harlemmerstraat - The hummous had a really odd earthy bitter flavour and it’s all I could taste when eating the wrap and I’m a huge fan of hummous quite disappointing for the price.

It felt home made and if that’s not the best experience there is i don’t know what is :)

We ate at Lila, a halal kebab shop in Amsterdam. Overall, it was a good discovery. I liked the sandwich and hummus, simple but tasty. The salad, however, had a slightly bitter taste that I didn't really enjoy. The atmosphere was a bit too noisy for my taste, with many customers talking very loudly—not ideal for a quiet moment. It's a good spot for a quick bite, but not necessarily for a quiet sit-down.

I just discovered this little gem of Lebanese street food and I was absolutely blown away! I ordered some wraps and they were simply excellent. The flavors were incredible and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. In addition to the delicious food, the service was incredibly fast and efficient. It's perfect for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Lebanese cuisine or is looking for a quality street food option! Don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like me to change anything!

Shawarma wrap was mainly onions and cabbage, I didn’t liked it. Kabbab plate had only 2 pieces of kabbab and the rest was cabbage tahini and potatoes

Tried both the cauliflower wrap and the sabich wrap — absolutely fantastic! The cauliflower was crispy and full of flavor, and the sabich had that perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and hearty. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. On top of that, the staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The amount of times I have reliably come here after getting absolutely obliterated, or if I desperately needed something to eat at 1am… service is excellent. I’ve come here to get a shoarma wrap and use their wifi for work, come here to eat and listen to music… they really just let you chill here. Love the service. Gave me a phone charger… And the food is tasty, though prices are a little too high (it’s what you’d expect for anything on Harlemmerdijk).

Looking for lunch, I was welcomed here super friendly and respectfully, which is why I am writing this review. The food is great! Homemade bread, homemade hummus, homemade everything… Even if you don’t like all the amazing veggy-stuff, go for some chicken and fries and you will be very happy. The meals give you a feeling of abundance and can easily be shared by 2, if you are a rather light eater. For take-away I took a wrap, which was still great after many hours in my backpack. The prices are what you can expect in Amsterdam in 2025, I guess… worth it for the quality and serving you get! The place is clean, has an open kitchen, a casual atmosphere in the front and a bit more cozy atmosphere in the back. Can easily recommend you to come here, any time of the day, by yourself, with a date or with friends!

Incredibly nice staff and absolutely delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. I had the chicken wrap and my boyfriend tried the shoarma. We could each only eat half of the wrap - and got to take the rest home to enjoy later. Great portion sizes! Delicious. 10/10 recommend!

I love falafel but the falafel from this place had a very weird mouth feeling which put me off (way too dry and crumbly). The service is great and the place itself is also nice but the food was not satisfying unfortunately. Also way too expensive for what you get!

I always get a shaorma wrap with hummus as a side dish. Everytime I am filled with joy and ecstasy of eating delicious food. I always leave happy and full. Portions are big and full of delicious components. I would recommend Lila to everyone!

The restaurant is excellent and the food is good. We ordered a delicious meat shawarma with chicken, and a kebab dish that comes with two pieces of kebab with salad, potatoes, hummus, onions, and two pieces of shawarma bread, which is tastier than kebab.

Everything was fresh but just didn’t taste good. Falafal was okay but the fries were soggy, hummus so tasteless and the entire plate just felt really dry.

The guy who works there “ the one in their video advertising “ is super aggressive! When we interned the restaurant he was fighting with another customer, and after we ordered he have such an aggressive conversation with us! He put in our sandwiches things we don’t want like onion and garlic and when we told him we can’t eat that, het started shouting and throw our sandwich’s and start saying that’s the food if you don’t want I can’t do anything for you! His coworker started calming him down but the atmosphere stayed super wierd and full of aggression.

I don't know where these opinions come from, the food only looks good in the picture, after eating it I'm disappointed, there are few ingredients, a thick pancake and zero sauce, I recommend taking a drink with you to wash it down, the service is indifferent towards the customer, after deciding on a wrap without any additions, the lady expressed indifference and resignation with her face, the high opinion is probably due to buying them
