If you like Middle Eastern food then you will like the food in this restaurant for me it was ten out of ten, the staff who work there are very nice the most important thing for them is that you are satisfied and you are comfortable there

Lovely people and delicious food!

Absolutely loved our visit to this amazing restaurant! My friends and I went after a tennis session, and it was the perfect spot to unwind. The food was absolutely delicious, packed with flavour, and the drinks were super refreshing. The highlight for me was getting a behind the scenes look at how they make their flatbread. Such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Everything was just so good, no artificial meat just pure meat. It was so good.

Unfortunately the service team and the owner were not only unkind but judgemental. We had two waiters one sullen man and one attentive woman. Between the pair they got their wires crossed. The man and the manager then proceed to tell me I must have ordered two children’s meal when I only had one child with me. Very interesting. I do not recommend going here. It’s a shame as I love tabouli and theirs was quite good. Hard to find a decent tabouli here in Amsterdam. The other dishes were ok but not fantastic and therefore in my view over priced.

I have tried most of the foods they have, and they are all great. The staff are very nice and friendly, especially the owner. The freshly baked bread is their signature, and we always buy extra to take away.

A good and clean restaurant, excellent service, the food and grills are very good, and the oven bread is the best. May God provide for you.

Visited the place recently, in terms of taste and quality, the meat and the desert were pretty good, was grilled over charcoal but the start of the show was the naan. However, the salads and starters were quite unimpressive, and I personaly avoided them.

⸻ Zaffran is definitely the right place for those who are craving kebabs in Amsterdam! The meats were extremely tasty, well marinated and cooked to perfection. Every plate, from lamb shish to Adana, was both filling and visually appetizing. The appetizers were fresh and generously portioned; especially when combined with the warm lavash that came with it, a wonderful balance of flavors emerges. The prices are also quite reasonable by Amsterdam standards: Main courses are usually around 15–20 Euros, which is definitely worth it when you consider the taste and quality. The place has a clean, spacious and warm atmosphere; the service team was attentive and friendly. In short, they say it is hard to find a good kebab in Europe, but Zaffran breaks this perception. We had a wonderful experience at *Zaffraan Midden Oosters Restaurant* in Amsterdam. The ambiance was lovely, with warm and authentic Middle Eastern touches. Zaffraan is one of the hidden gems in Amsterdam. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine or a delightful dinner.

A distinguished restaurant in everything. Cleanliness is number 1, reception is number 1, and the food is second to none. The best kebab in Holland. I recommend visiting it. Many thanks to all the workers in this restaurant, and thanks to the owner of the restaurant.

Only bread was good. Kebab fatty and bad quality meat, almost no salad or potato but ok. No pickles no nothing. Chicken same thing added spices but like comeon!! No saus like garlic nothing.

Second time I came to treat my mother in law, but extremely disappointed! Waited 45 minutes, they lost our order, etc. Which is fine but basic hospitality suggests that you should at least apologize and bring something to say sorry. Never coming here again sorry, plenty other places with better service, DO BETTER!

I visited Zafraan Restaurant yesterday, and as always, it was a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, and I often bring tourists from my country Bahrain & from gcc, they always give positive feedback about the food quality. Many thanks to the management for maintaining such high standards and a strong reputation. Special thanks to the lady who was working yesterday for her kind and respectful service. I also truly appreciate how the restaurant reflects the warm Iraqi hospitality, especially with the lovely tea served after the meal. It’s a beautiful touch that adds to the authentic experience.

As a Persian, I loved the Iraqi cuisine of the restaurnet.

Always crossing this restaurant when I’m going to the gym. It always smelled good passing by. So today we went here for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. We got the Quouzi with bahmi and fassoulia. We got a naan with humus and a yoghurt cucumber sauce which was very good. The lamb was the highlight. It was tender and juicy. The bahmi and fassoulia were very tasty aswell. Overall had a good dinner. Will definitely come back!

Food was very delicious with reasonable price.

The food was delicious. I particularly liked the dessert Künefe. The service was very attentive - we were even served flatbread without asking. Hygiene is also particularly important. On the whole we really liked it here. We would come back.

Staff were friendly. Cold starters (humus etc.) were also very tasty. I definitely recommend the grill dishes. Kunefe was on the dry side for me. All in all, definitely a tasty meal.

I was really looking forward to trying your food, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. Here's a breakdown of the issues: 1. Muhammara – This didn’t resemble traditional muhammara. It lacked the essential ingredients like pomegranate molasses and walnuts, which are key to its authentic flavour. 2. Falafel – It was neither crunchy nor spicy, and despite the menu stating it came with tahini dressing, none was provided. 3. Lamb Kebab & Kebab Zaffraan – Both were overwhelmingly fatty, making them unpleasant to eat. 4. Naan – This was the one highlight of the meal. Fresh, soft, and delicious. Overall, the food quality was disappointing, especially when compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve visited. I hope this feedback helps improve your offerings.

Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to test the restaurant because our reservation request was answered way too late, so we unfortunately had to go somewhere else to eat. The star is not used for food or service but only for the possibility of reserving a table via the restaurant's homepage. We wanted to reserve a table for 18 at around 1:30 p.m., but didn't receive a reservation confirmation until 6:16 p.m. Maybe we'll try again at another time.

Simply put, the food, the service, and the atmosphere are great. I had mixed grill medium with lamb kebab, Tikka ossenhaas, kebab zafraan. The seasonings were great and I loved how nicely grilled they were. Bread with sesami was also tasty.

We ordered catering for my birthday. The food was really next level. Delicious bread and all spreads are homemade and own. Well seasoned and very friendly people. Highly recommended!

Ate there yesterday and chicken was out of the freezer, you could barely pierce your butt with a fork it was ice cold. When the employee talked about this, she took it away and still got cold chicken again. Paid 82 euros for 2 people, very disappointed.

On the one hand, the food is delicious, but on the other, I find the service odd. I recommend improving the service: it's not bad, but on the three occasions I've been there, I've been served very late. It's a shame because I love the food.

I like really the food tast and quality! But we order 4 times patatas,bread, glass, spoon but they didnt pay attention to us and bring them! The services really not good!

Today I ate tikka chicken with bread, unfortunately the chicken was not cooked enough because I had thrown up at home. Service could be a bit friendlier, I had the feeling that they forgot everything and had to keep repeating. Well never again for me

Our group of five waited 20 minutes without receiving a menu. Eventually, I had to get up and grab one myself, and even then, we had to repeatedly ask the waiter to take our order. After a total of 40 minutes with no service, we decided to leave. The experience was frustrating, the service was unacceptable, and we never felt welcome.

We visited Zaffraan for a work team dinner, but after we were ignored by the wait staff for over 40 minutes, we got up and left. Several tables around us who arrived long after we arrived were already on their second courses, but we didn't even have our drinks orders taken yet let alone ordered dinner. This was even after several attempts at getting the waitresses attention. Very poor experience for us.

Normally iftar is a pleasure here so we visited on first ramadan. They seemed super stressed, didn’t even serve water when it was iftar time. Also a guy accidentally poured hot tea on my friend and seemed too busy to help wipe or be sorry. Food was good though. Maybe it was first ramadan at dinner time so it got too busy for them. I hope it was a one time thing. I will visit again because my husband love this place and their food is delicious

Delicious fresh food and huge portions

The food and service is top. Very authentic and delicious middle eastern food full of flavors. There was some serious effort in preparing the meal to match the original taste with all the fresh ingredients. We really liked it. The service was just perfect and the staff were quick professional and super friendly. The price is reasonable and it's worth every penny.

pretty incompetent servers, wrong final bill & refusal to correct it. Food was tasty. We ordered the warm and cold appetizer plate for 4 people each. We received a small plate of warm appetizers and were told it was "one of them". We didn't get the 2nd one and couldn't ask for it for a long time because the servers were ignoring us. On the bill we were charged for 2x warm and 2x cold appetizer plate, which is 20 € extra. When I mentioned this, the server acted all confused, and was rolling their eyes. In the end they took 10 € off the bill and acted like they did us a huge favour. Definitely not coming back.
