Fantastic! I haven't eaten such delicious Iraqi food anywhere else as here at Zaffraan. Everything is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. In addition, the service is super friendly and attentive; you are truly pampered. Especially that young lady with green eyes made sure we felt welcome! It is a place where it feels right the moment you step inside: very atmospheric and hospitable. Highly recommended!

Everything was great, from reception to billing. I had not had such fresh tandoor bread in years. Lamb Zaffron skewers were juicy and rightly spiced. The thick, creamy lentil-based soup warmed my feelings on the chilling night, and the cold mezze greatly complements the cuisine. I rarely visit one place twice during a short trip. I had to go there twice to satisfy my taste buds 😊

From the moment I walked in until the very end, it was perfect. The service was friendly, and the food was incredibly delicious and prepared quickly. I recommend everyone to dine at Zaafraan.

Unfortunately, the restrooms are consistently very dirty and poorly maintained. This has happened on several of my visits, so I really hope the management pays more attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of the bathrooms.

The food at this restaurant is really great. We love it, and that is the reason we keep coming back again and again. Unfortunately, the service is terrible, and this has happened several times. The last time we visited, we were still eating when a staff member started cleaning the entire room. He was mopping the floor, and the smell of the cleaning products was very strong. He was also moving tables and chairs around, making a huge amount of noise while we were trying to eat. We politely informed the staff that it was disturbing us, but unfortunately, the cleaning continued. We could no longer enjoy our food, so we eventually had to leave. It is a real shame because we genuinely love the food. I hope the restaurant will improve its service and be more considerate of customers who are still eating.

Air conditioning was off on a hot day! People who visit here are mostly from Iraq, so it’s emotional for them to rate 5! but food is not tasty!

Had a very good time with the family here in this restaurant. The service was so beatiful that you wouldn't regret coming here.

Another over rated restaurant! 1. My food was not even heated. The lady brought the naan, after five min/ i started eating the stew. 2. All sofa like tabel were written reserved, though there was only one family in the whole restaurant. Still she made me sit in a small tabel which was keep moving and refused me when I asked whether I can sit in the sofa! (because she identified me as some solo brown foreign tourist). She didnt even bother to smile, but she was smiling and talking to another family of three! (they ordered little than mine). The whole one hour, no other people came; so the reserved board is fake! 3. Super market mint tea was served as moroccan tea for seven Euro!

Hardly anything on the menu for vegans. They are used to putting yogurt in everything. So watch out, in the hummus and tahini sauce too!! I sent the fries back because they were barely cooked, had no color, and they dare to charge 15.00 with a straight face. Truly, what a shameless display.. There really are better options in Amsterdam than this restaurant.. I had been looking forward to eating here, but it was a huge disappointment.
