On the one hand, the food is delicious, but on the other, I find the service odd. I recommend improving the service: it's not bad, but on the three occasions I've been there, I've been served very late. It's a shame because I love the food.

I like really the food tast and quality! But we order 4 times patatas,bread, glass, spoon but they didnt pay attention to us and bring them! The services really not good!

Today I ate tikka chicken with bread, unfortunately the chicken was not cooked enough because I had thrown up at home. Service could be a bit friendlier, I had the feeling that they forgot everything and had to keep repeating. Well never again for me

Our group of five waited 20 minutes without receiving a menu. Eventually, I had to get up and grab one myself, and even then, we had to repeatedly ask the waiter to take our order. After a total of 40 minutes with no service, we decided to leave. The experience was frustrating, the service was unacceptable, and we never felt welcome.

We visited Zaffraan for a work team dinner, but after we were ignored by the wait staff for over 40 minutes, we got up and left. Several tables around us who arrived long after we arrived were already on their second courses, but we didn't even have our drinks orders taken yet let alone ordered dinner. This was even after several attempts at getting the waitresses attention. Very poor experience for us.

Great food, totally recommended!

Normally iftar is a pleasure here so we visited on first ramadan. They seemed super stressed, didn’t even serve water when it was iftar time. Also a guy accidentally poured hot tea on my friend and seemed too busy to help wipe or be sorry. Food was good though. Maybe it was first ramadan at dinner time so it got too busy for them. I hope it was a one time thing. I will visit again because my husband love this place and their food is delicious

The food and service is top. Very authentic and delicious middle eastern food full of flavors. There was some serious effort in preparing the meal to match the original taste with all the fresh ingredients. We really liked it. The service was just perfect and the staff were quick professional and super friendly. The price is reasonable and it's worth every penny.

pretty incompetent servers, wrong final bill & refusal to correct it. Food was tasty. We ordered the warm and cold appetizer plate for 4 people each. We received a small plate of warm appetizers and were told it was "one of them". We didn't get the 2nd one and couldn't ask for it for a long time because the servers were ignoring us. On the bill we were charged for 2x warm and 2x cold appetizer plate, which is 20 € extra. When I mentioned this, the server acted all confused, and was rolling their eyes. In the end they took 10 € off the bill and acted like they did us a huge favour. Definitely not coming back.

It was a wonderful day when we found this gem in Amsterdam. Yes, it is the Iraqi Saffron Restaurant and the quality of the oriental food. I advise everyone who passes through Amsterdam to pass by it.

Ate here for the first time with a group. I am very familiar with Arabic cuisine. I've tried many restaurants, but this one was a really different experience. The kebab was perfectly seasoned. We chose the cold mezze for 2 people and that was very surprising. The flavors were exactly as they should be and the portions were large...the plates were richly filled and the bread from the tandoori was delicious! Staff were friendly and service was fast. Really top restaurant.

Went here with some friends. Good food for the price! A nice place if you like meat. The lentil soup was really good and the kibbe was well seasoned. They also serve it with some mezze. The meat is a bit dry but well seasoned.

Number one Iraqi kebab, highly recommended! The taste of the food is delicious, you can taste the authentic Iraqi kebab. The tanor bread is super fresh and delicious. The kunafa is packed with flavor and is a perfect ending. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable.

Good and excellent food, something more luxurious than anything else

Coming from Iraq and living in Europe, it is always difficult to find a restaurant that reminds you of how food tastes at your grandma's house. But Zaffraan managed to bring the smile of satisfaction I felt every time I ate at my grandma's. Food is excellent, portions are perfect and the atmosphere is what anyone needs when having a meal. On top of that, the owner coming to the table and have a small chat with us about his business and how he does things made it even better. I would like to thank them for a nice evening.

One of the worst restaurants I visited in Amsterdam. The table was dirty. She came to clean it with a cloth without soap and a plate. She threw all the dirt on the plate and said, “Please sit.” My husband looked at the chairs with leftover food on them, possibly bread and the like. With the same dirty cloth, she wiped the chairs. We sat and looked at each other. The food came. The chicken was dirty. Taza and it does not have the taste of barbecue. It is yellow in color. I could not eat it. I asked her for any type of spice or pepper. She replied, unfortunately, it is not available. It was as if I was at home and dressed in a restaurant We finished eating. We went to the bathroom to wash our hands. There was no soap. We asked for the answer for an hour. We were tired and they did not come to fill it. One of them came and did not find soap in the women’s bathroom. He went to the men’s bathroom and said, “Hurrah,” in 7 or 8 clicks. A little bit came down and washed and went. I did not find that they had no good food or cleanliness. There is only one good thing in the bathrooms, which is hot bread 👍

One of my favorite spots in Amsterdam! It feels like home, it’s a restaurant run by my family, and they treat us like part of theirs. I visited this magnificent restaurant in Amsterdam owned by Iraqi's and was amazed with their services, friendliness and above all the quality and tastiness of the food was incredible. As I sat down to finish my meal, I saw a whole lot of people come in groups. Surprising thing was that they all came from different background and culture. To capture these varieties of customers in addition to what I tasted and observed, this got me impressed. Therefore my rating for this restaurant is a 5 star!

Last Friday we had another good meal at Zaffraan in Amsterdam. We come here often, and every time the food is tasty and of high quality. The kibbe and kebab are particularly popular, but the other dishes are also recommended. The staff is very friendly and prompt.

Great and cozy restaurant with middle eastern cuisine. Quite crowded. Hummus and freshly baked bread from tannoer were great. Kebab Zaffraan and Tikka ossenhaas were quite good , just a bit dry, and served with some salad on the side. Knafeh and Moroccan mint tea were nice as well. The service was quick with main dishes but it took some time to get the dessert .
