Ordered here for takeaway it was quick and delicious chicken korma, butter chicken, garlic naan, and kheer all were rich in flavor and fantastic 😁 we came several more times and got butter naan which was just ok but the garlic cheese naan was good as was the chicken Tikka tandoori and khulfi. We got several more things as well.

Excellent. I highly recommend the Nepalese chef's specialty; it's truly delicious. You need to take your time waiting for the dishes to arrive, but it's well worth it.

If you need Indian / Nepali comfort food, this is the place to come! Amazing service and food at this restaurant! One of the few restaurants that are open past 9pm. We had the chicken momo with garlic naan, saag paneer and butter chicken which were soooo good! Will come again and become a regular.

We had a menu for two: a "Sita non-vegetarian menu" Papadums, Muligatwany Soups, Lamb Saag or Chicken Masala, Chicken Tandoori, Aloo Matter, Basmati rice and Naan. Desserts: Kheer or Kulfi. Price per 2 persons: € 60.00. A kind of tour of different flavors. The service was friendly and the location was too.

Great Indian food with a Nepalees twist. Their seasoning is full of spices, but not hot. They do have vegetarian option, but I got the chicken Biryani and Tika Masala and they were perfect.

The food (tandoori mixed) was delicious. Good meat, delicious curry. In short, highly recommended! We will definitely be back (it was already our second time).

For a price point of €20–€30 per person, the portion sizes and quality are excellent. The ambiance is warm and cultural, creating a very cozy environment for a meal. The service was good and the staff was polite, though it was a bit slower than expected during peak hours, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars for service. However, the delicious food more than made up for the wait! It’s a fantastic spot for anyone craving high-quality South Asian cuisine in a lovely setting. I will certainly be returning to try more dishes from their menu. Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal, with plenty of vegetarian options. One of the better Indian/Nepalese restaurants we have eaten at. The space is not large, and we were seated near an entrance which was somewhat noisy, but not very disturbing. The owner is friendly and cheerful, but his wife (?) didn't manage a smile. When settling the bill, she didn't even ask if everything was to our liking. A pity. Nevertheless, we will certainly return here to enjoy the delicious food.

The two of us had a lovely meal. The restaurant isn't too big, and some tables were quite close together, but this didn't affect conversation. We weren't bothered by the "neighbors" 😉. Despite the crowd, the service was good, the food arrived promptly, and it was delicious.

The starter was delicious. The main course (lamb jalfrezi) was nothing special; the curry lacked flavor. I've eaten a lot, but this one doesn't win any prizes. The other main course (Chhoyola Chicken) was good, not enough for a moderate eater. The naan was okay, nothing special. What was annoying was the constant cold that came in whenever the door opened, about 30 times during dinner; I came out freezing. The service there wasn't very helpful either. They could hang a curtain or close the first outside door. Not worth repeating.

Super fast if you arrive early, as tables can be sold again. Friendly staff, good food. Not too expensive. Very good value for money.

My husband and I recently dined at Sita in Amsterdam and were very disappointed with both the food and the service. The dishes were bland and of noticeably poor quality. Biryani came as of left over pulao was mixed with some left over gravy. While we were still eating and had drinks on the table, the individual who appeared to be the owner asked whether we planned to order dessert. When we said no, he informed us that we would need to leave by 6:30 because the table might be ‘reserved.’ When I questioned this politely, he continued to insist the table was reserved, yet no one arrived to take it afterward. We were the only Indian couple in the restaurant, and the rest of the diners were white. We were also the only ones asked to leave early, which made the interaction feel particularly uncomfortable. This experience reflects poor hospitality and unprofessional conduct. We chose to pay and leave immediately, and we do not intend to return.” Replying to the owner for his response - Thank you for your response. However, it does not align with what actually occurred. The individual who served us and appeared to be the owner explicitly told us that we would need to leave by a certain time. This was said while we were still eating, with drinks on the table, and it was communicated in a manner that made us feel rushed rather than informed. At the time, there were multiple empty tables in the restaurant. If the table we were seated at was known to be reserved, it is unclear why we were placed there in the first place, especially when other tables remained available throughout our visit. No one arrived to take the table after we left. When we asked for clarification, the tone and demeanor became increasingly uncomfortable rather than reassuring. Regardless of intent, the result was that we felt singled out and pressured to leave before we had finished our meal. Our review reflects our genuine experience, and we stand by it.

Even though the food was actually a bit too salty, the service was a bit awkward (though friendly!), and we practically sat on our neighbors' laps, I still give it 5 stars. We ate here on Christmas Eve since we'd been to the markets and many places were closed. It was my first time eating Indian food, and I was pleasantly surprised. We had Chicken Biryani and Chhoyola Lamb (a Tibetan dish). Two delicious dishes, accompanied by the sauces. One dish would be enough for two, but if you're really hungry, you can easily finish it. Highly recommended!

The food is okay, but not great. The Nepalese chicken dish was quite tasty, but the shrimp curry was too bland. The onion bhajis were small and dry. In short, I've often had much better Indian (and Nepalese) food elsewhere. The service was very friendly.

A decent Indian-Nepalese restaurant. Friendly service, but expensive for what you get. A tablemate received one bowl of plain white rice, with only some shrimp in a thin sauce, and was charged €27.50 for it! Very meager. I complained to the owner, who replied that it also contained some coconut, but offered no further explanation. Of course, everyone deserves to earn something, but the portions were incredibly small, and we left the restaurant feeling truly disappointed. Drinks, on the other hand, weren't particularly expensive: a bottle of Cobra beer €5.50, a glass of red wine €4.50, a glass of cola €3.25. Extra naan bread €4.

What a wonderful surprise it was to dine one winter evening in this magnificent restaurant. The chef welcomed us with open arms and shared his finest cuisine with us in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The price, for its part, is more than reasonable considering the generous portions. My only regret is that I couldn't savor the experience longer. I've come a long way, and I will return to admire the technical prowess this chef offers.

I visited this restaurant with my wife yesterday evening and had one of the most unprofessional dining experiences I’ve ever encountered. While we were still eating and drinking, the owner came to our table and bluntly asked us to leave so they could “accommodate more people.” No apology, no courtesy — just a completely disrespectful approach that made it clear they prioritize turnover over basic customer service. On top of that, the food was far below average. We ordered the chicken biryani, and anyone who has eaten a real biryani knows it does not come with peas in it . The dish was bland, lacking flavor, and felt like it was thrown together without any attention to authenticity or taste. Between the poor-quality food and the shockingly rude behavior, this place left a very negative impression. There are plenty of restaurants that understand hospitality and good cooking — this, unfortunately, is not one of them. I won’t be returning, and I hope others are aware before choosing to dine here.

The restaurant was very full, but we were given a makeshift table. We started with a few papadums, followed by a chicken madras curry. He warned us that this dish would be spicy, and it was, but not overly so. We had a delicious, quick meal.

We were here Sunday evening without a reservation, which wasn't a problem at all. The service was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the butter chicken was a bit under-seasoned for our taste. But the vegetable balls were very good. All in all, a nice little place that we would visit again.

With a last time booking on a friday evening still could get a table, and we got really satisfied with the food. But gotta mention it came very late (almost in 1.30 hours after we ordered ). That made us a bit unpleasant while waiting but if you’re okay with that, food is really good.

On a busy Saturday evening, we had a delicious meal with fast service. Even when we ordered something extra during our meal, it arrived very quickly. The restaurant is cozy, and the tables are close together, but you don't have to bother each other. It might be a good idea to arrange something to protect against the cold when the restaurant door opens, as it can be quite disruptive during dinner.

We had a pleasant meal with four of us. We didn't want to eat too much so we shared the vegetable samosa starter (2 pieces) and the onion bahji (sort of 6 smallish pieces). They were both very good and not at all greasy. We shared three vegetarian mains (which came with plenty of rice) and ordered 2 naans as extra There was the right amount for the 4 of us. With one drink each we paid just over €20 per person. The restaurant was busy already at 6pm. We had to wait a little for service but we had two courses in less than an hour without rushing. Not a place for a long romantic dinner but if you'd like to eat something before going out then it's perfect. I was pretty thirsty during the evening although the food didn't taste overly salty.

Absolutely delicious! Not super fast, but that's to be expected with this type of restaurant. Butter naan was great, the Chicken Korma was to die for. We showed up at 2:30pm and no other customers were there, but it might be busier in the evening.

We got the non vegetarian platter for 2. It included soup for appetiser, rice, naan, grilled chicken, curry and dessert at the end. Very good value for the money. Would be also a good option for a family of 3. We ended up taking home the leftovers happily.

I thought the food was great. Good, delicate flavor. Not spicy at all, but just well-seasoned. The service was excellent.

Food was ok, but nothing more than that. I felt it was lacking strong and deep flavours and came across as a bit on the bland side. Butter chicken was ok too but nothing special. I wouldnt go as far as calling the food mediocre, it was a notch above that in my humble opinion. The service was incredibly friendly and the bill was very reasonable, 73 euros for 2 persons including starters, 2 drinks each and side dishes and soup . So nothing to complain about those things.

Before a concert at the Concertgebouw (a 5-minute walk), we had a delicious meal at Sita's. The people were super friendly, and the food was delicious and good. We had a Nepalese dish with lamb and chicken tikka masala. Despite the heat, it was perfect inside under the fan.

Ordered saag paneer and a garlic naan as a pickup order, very nice flavours and super fresh! Staff were also very friendly. Recommended!
