Great experience eating authentic Nepali food. Servers were helpful and friendly. Chia after dinner was delicious. Highly recommend!

Dangerously spicy! Way too many green chillies in the food if asked for spicy. Waiter was not kind and simply justifying himself that he gave me an option while ordering. Well he did not warn me that the food has lot of chillies. I had to suffer from stomach problem the next day. More Spicy is not just adding more green chillies but instead a proper mix of hotness and appropriate additional dose of different other spices. No authentic Indian food has 3-4 chopped green chillies inside a small cup of curry. To my bad luck chopped green chillies looked alike chopped green beans in the low light setting Which i had to carefully sort them out. Too expensive too.

Used to be a very good and must visit restaurant for Indian food, but my last visit changed my view.

Chicken momo was very delicious and my friend had prawn biryani which comes with raita it’s was really tasty and authentic taste. If you guys are looking for authentic and original test of nepalese and Indian cuisine then I high recommend this place. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Nice, tidy and clean Indian restaurant

Decent food. We were disappointed when the server said they did not have tap water which meant we had to buy bottled water. They weren't happy we were sharing a meal. In the end we loved the food and would have visited again under different circumstances.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had – my personal top three! Each bite was a unique explosion of flavor. I especially recommend the 3-course menu for two – not only is it beautifully curated, but it’s also more than enough to satisfy even the hungriest appetite. The service was outstanding from the very first moment – attentive, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful. An absolute must-visit for anyone coming to Amsterdam! Only the the entrance is a bit adventurous.

Wow, came here based on the trip advisor reviews which can be a bit sketchy sometimes but this place is amazing. Would recommend the Dal Bhat dishes which give you a selection of veg, meat curry, lentil curry (dal) as well as rice and a little bit of pickle. Went great with a naan!

INSANELY DELICIOUS SPOT. If you don't like tons of spice and flavor, this isn't the spot for you. The Yeti was one of the best meals during our 2.5 week trip through Europe. The spicy momo was the best I've ever had. 10/10 will visit again on another trip to the area.

We arrived around 9:30pm on King’s Day and were lucky to get a table. We started with a couple of starters, which were lovely. Then we made the rookie mistake of ordering vindaloos—much hotter than we’re used to! Totally our fault though, as we should’ve asked the waiter for advice on the heat levels. We also ordered a chow mein, which was delicious. The service was good and the wine was too. It was on the pricier side, but to be fair, we knew that. All in all, I’d definitely recommend a visit—just a heads-up that the Vindaloo is seriously hot. Go for a Madras if you prefer something milder. Enjoy!

We walked into the restaurant to try their Momos. As soon as we walked in, we felt not welcome by the waiters. We were already feeling uncomfortable by the experience. We managed to order food and the food came quite quickly. We started tasting the food, despite the initial hiccup the experience started to pickup. However the evening went from bad to worse, when we found cockroach in the sauce. We reported this to the waiter, he took the plate away, we expected an apology. He later brought a replacement and offered that we don't pay for it and to be fair he apologized at that point. The replacement had the new sauce but we decided to avoid this as we couldn't unsee the cockroach int he sauce anymore. We finished our meal paid our bill and couldn't wait to get out. At that point anything that was happening gave us a bad vibe.

An evening at The Yeti was an unforgettable evening. Warm welcome and friendly staff. The menu looked so delicious that I didn't know what to choose. With the help of the friendly waiter and my wishes I enjoyed a delicious starter, main course and dessert. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The food was excellent. Couldn't have wished for better. A nice cozy restaurant with top service. Definitely worth a try.

In particolare, ho apprezzato tantissimo la zuppa con noodle e pollo (chicken thukpa), e la consiglio vivamente; ho anche assaggiato dei momo nepalesi al pollo, buoni anche se a mio avviso la zuppa era superiore; ho avuto anche modo (e spazio) di spizzicare un pò di focaccia (naan) all'aglio e un buon mango lassi. Costo totale: 49,60 EUR. Ci tornerò.

I usually give Nepali restaurants good rating to promote Nepali restaurants in foreign countries, but i had very bad experience here. We ordered "Chicken C momo" and they asked me about the level of spicy. I told them "No spicy (Only European level spicy)", which was supposed to be very low/No spicy at all. Instead I got all our food super spicy. I even asked them to change them, which they tried but then I got back same momo that they took with same level of spicy. My stomach was upset and tongue got burned and couldn't eat anything for few days. I asked them to pack rest of my food(Biryani) so that i can eat later, which was again super spicy that i had to throw them away. After all this, I was amazed that they didn't even try to make things right and were asking me for tips.

Incredible food and their chicken tikka masala is a top contender for most delicious ctm I’ve ever had. I came in a little late just before closing time, and they warned me that all they could make was a ctm. I was hungry and accepted their offer with a rice and cheese naan. The curry was very flavorful and hearty, and struck a good balance with the amount of chicken served with the dish. Very impressed with The Yeti and will likely go back before the end of my trip.

This is my 3rd experience in The Yeti. The food was amazing as always, the Saag was a little too salty but still delicious. On this trip to The Yeti the waiter was quite rude towards the end. I don’t know why, he hurried us out and wasn’t pleasant about it. We left a good tip. We don’t drink so we weren’t loud ! I get it that everyone has their bad moments in the day but my man, you were 2 mins away from giving us a 10/10 experience and me giving you a 5 star review. Pity.

Extremely arrogant staff , I would say also racist , they are happy to serve western crowds but racist towards people the claim to serve good of . If you have to get a good Indian food experience I would not recommend this place .

We ate dinner here one evening, the place is small with steep steps up to the entrance. The food was good and the service was good. Prices were average (not cheap). Menu choices were varied with options for most. The place was very popular so I would advise booking before if you want to guarantee a table.

Great food but racist waiter He didn’t acknowledge our presence and kept us waiting for a bit to even get us a table. And when I asked if I could get a corner table - he snapped saying we didn’t have a reservation when we did. Issue is - I saw them happily give the best tables to all the non Indians

The most amazing Indian Food I have ever had! The starters as well as the main dishes (Chicken Vindaloo) were super tasty and as spicy as one would expect the cuisine to be. Absolutely can highly recommend! And don‘t get distracted by the fact that the restaurant is located near the red light district.

It’s my first visit to Amsterdam and my friends suggested we should eat at Yeti’s as the Nepalese restaurants are in general very cool in the city. This was a first time experience for them too. And boy were we in for a ride. We orders chilly veg momos, steamed veg momos, aloo ghobi curry, paneer butter masala and garlic naan. Every dish was fantastic. The chilly momos need a special mention as we practically licked the dish off the plate. The staff were very friendly and service was top notch. it’s a small restaurant so you do feel that you have joined the conversation of the next table but I would say it does bring the Indian community feast feeling alive. Must visit if you are in town. Will certainly come back when we visit again. Thanks Team Yeti

The food here is absolutely amazing - fresh and flavourful. Something very special to have here in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. The staff seemed very unfriendly and rushed - taking the plates away the second we finished the dish. It‘s a shame because the food really deserves five stars or more, but the lack of hospitality left me disappointed. Otherwise it’d be one of the best restaurants in amsterdam for me.

Travelled from Ireland to Amsterdam just for this place. This is absolutely worth it! Good is excellent. Reminds me of my home cooked meals on special occasions. Clean and delicious food with excellent presentation and service. Will visit once every year at least. Thank you The Yeti team.

We came into the restaurant and were a bit surprised at first because it had a good atmosphere. We were shown to a very cramped table, but it was very nicely decorated. We got the food very quickly (butter chicken, momo and garlic naan) and it tasted great. BUT: For me, the staff really brought down the overall impression. We didn't really speak to you in a friendly manner and you had the feeling that the waiter was annoyed with us, even though we didn't actually give him any reason to be so. When he received his tip in cash, he almost snatched the bill away from me. Very unfortunate and not really pleasant. But if you want to eat good and authentic food, this is the place for you. The price-performance ratio is very good, but the service would at least make me think about coming again.

The tikka masala didn’t taste like a tikka masala should. 3/5 for the food as Indian food in Amsterdam isn’t great. 2/5 if you are used to good Indian food. The onion bhaji were soft and had no flavour. However for an Amsterdam Indian it does the job.

Wow. I have NEVER had such an experience in all my life ANYWHERE. I came in there at 8:30pm with my elderly parents who had come to Amsterdam to visit me. I had already eaten at a work do so I was just going to sit with them. The place was empty except for one table! And yet “he”, the Yeti hunter, refused to serve us. Our crime - my parents wanted to share the €22 main course because at the age of 80 they can’t eat that much. Oh and we were also ordering beer, wine, coke, one starter and one bread. And yet Yeti Hunter told us that our order was Insufficient for him to bother serving us. And so we had to be bullied into ordering an extra main dish we didn’t want or need…or leave. So we left. If you care about your parents being respected DONT come here. If you care about people being accommodated for their different needs DONT come here. If you care about the environment and not wasting resources DONT come here. If you care about good customer service DONT come here. And Yeti hunter, I suggest you go back to Yeti hunting. You will be more successful. PS At least one good thing came out of Yeti Hunter forcing us out of his empty cave. We ended up at Maenam Thai which was the exact opposite. Amazing, friendly and kind customer service combined with excellent food!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best – nothing stood out, and it felt like I could have made something better at home. However, what really ruined the evening was the terrible service. The staff was inattentive, rude, and slow. We waited an unreasonable amount of time for our drinks, and when they finally arrived, they were wrong. It felt like we were being ignored the entire time, and no one seemed to care about our concerns. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience.

We wasn't the first time there and that's the restaurant which started our love for the nepalese food. But after today I don't think we'll come back anymore. The service was strange, because the guy wasn't really friendly. He looked really annoyed when we didn't order a starter, but wanted the main dish only, and even asked us to take it, not nicely. So, the massage to the guy: "We really know what we want to eat! We don't want a starter because we know that we want a main course. Don't treat your customers weird because they don't act the way you want!". Btw, there was a second man who didn't take our order, but still was welcoming us with the good hospitality and mood. Also, request from my side, please, make an allergy list and don't be afraid to show it. It makes your job much easier. Then I can see what I can eat without any discussion and rejection, and you don't change the dish for me because I see what I can order. Believe me, usually people with allergies ask about it to make life easier, not harder for both sides
