The best potatoes we tried in Amsterdam were from this place, 100% recommended.

We ordered our food at Smash Hit using the self-service machine and paid by credit card directly at the machine. The ordering process was straightforward and convenient. The wings were really good and had a nice taste. However, the chicken fillets had an unpleasant smell of chicken, which was disappointing and made them less enjoyable. We chose to eat outside at a table along the main road. Overall, the wings were worth trying, but the chicken fillets could definitely be improved.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely recommended! One of the best smash burgers I've ever eaten. The meat was cooked to perfection – beautifully crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The ingredients were fresh, the bun was soft, and the sauce was delicious. The fries were also hot and crispy. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Amsterdam! A quick note: Many of the negative reviews refer to the former Snack It. The restaurant is now called Smash It, and the concept and quality have improved significantly.

The burgers were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The quality of the food was outstanding, and everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. A special thanks to Chef Zain, who made the experience even better with his great service and attention to detail. Honestly, the food was so good that I came back three times during my trip! That says everything about how much I enjoyed it. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely come back again!

I've never waited so long for such disgusting fries and croquettes. Yuck! The cheese sauce wasn't even warm. The fries were soggy, and what was on the side tasted like vomit. Disgusting!

I wanted to eat outside but the table was too dirty when i gently asked the worker if it can be cleaned he said no gave me tissue and said do it yourself. I mean ……???? Food is okay but there are better places nearby

I stayed at this place during a layover on a trip and frankly: avoid it! Fries 0, chicken 0, sauce 0. Luckily the place was clean and the staff were decent.

We happened upon this place as we were staying at the hotel Exchange next door, the receptionist suggested their smash burger whilst waiting for our room! DID NOT DISSAPOINT! I cannot explain how good their Urban Fries are!!! Turns out Dam is known for their fries so you will be presented with a lot of options to choose from. I can wholeheartedly say this little place was 100x better than fabel frites! The burger/chicken/fries were amazing. The service of the staff was amazing, they were patient whilst dealing with language barrier we notices with other customers. I will definitely be back hen we return to Dam

I'm sorry to report that I was scammed. This snack was sold as "Mexicano," but I had my doubts the moment I unwrapped it. And especially when I took a bite... this isn't an original Mexicano🥲

It's good for a snack, the taste is good but there are no large tables.

The shop may be small and a bit cramped, but the selection of snacks was really large – and all halal, which I think is great. I was especially pleased that I was able to try both a Mexicano and a bitterballen. Unfortunately, the vending machines weren't working during my visit, but ordering and paying via the terminal was seamless. The advantage: the snacks were freshly fried. It took about five minutes, but the result was worth it. The bitterballen in particular impressed me – I would definitely come back for them!

The food is delicious; we had fries and a hamburger at a reasonable price. I wouldn't go back or recommend it again because of the terrible service. They didn't just serve us with reluctance, but with anger. Very unpleasant. They don't have bathrooms. They charge for dressings and napkins. To me, it's a disastrous place. Clearly, it's empty for a reason.

In terms of value, the prices felt a bit steep—perhaps understandable given the central location in Amsterdam—but the quality of service didn’t justify the cost. Initially, I was going to rate this experience just one star. However, I have to admit that the Smashburger itself tasted really good. That alone made me reconsider my rating, and I decided to give it three stars instead of one. That said, the ice cream was very basic and underwhelming—just a plain scoop for nearly €3, which didn’t feel worth it. Ultimately, I can’t rate this place any higher due to the poor service, the initial mix-up, and the staff’s attitude. I’m unlikely to return.

Halal 🙂 We ate our lunch here on our last day of our holiday . We were so happy to find this place with vender machines to buy burgers & chicken from !! Me & my friend had cash so we were not able to buy from machine so went to the till and ordered a smashed burger that was so delicious , fried chicken wings that were the best I have ever tried and a special dish which was fries , chicken and sauce / mayo with fried onion and Parmesan cheese . Portions are great and food tasted great Good options of drinks ( cans from the fridge ) still sparkly . Small outdoor seating area and few chairs inside The place is to eat and go , very practical but not stylish . Staff were great and very friendly welcoming us and helping us to choose from the menu

We were looking for a halal burger shop and found this one by chance during our recent visit . We had double classic cheese burgers and chicken wings almost every day . Burgers were juicy, tasty and full of flavours . I thought the burgers were better than the top high street international brand and yet very reasonably priced . Would definitely have it again if my travels take me there again in future!

My favorite go to spot for a hot, quick, cheap and mess free snack on the go. The cheese souffle never disappoints.

Very tasty food! We were on vacation in Amsterdam and ate the chicken burgers for lunch almost every day, which tasted really fresh and juicy. My partner tried the Dutch specialty, these balls with meat in the middle, and found them very tasty too. If you're behind and don't want to wait too long, it's really cheap and delicious 👌

A strong 4 stars for this absolute life saver of a place. Obviously during or after a long night out this is the best type of food to eat however ur in for a surprise! The food id way above that of kfc or McDonalds and it is even cheaper! The servers are almost always the biggest homies and if u meet one twice u essentially have a homie for life. Recommend!

Convenient place to grab a quick bite. The food is ready and stored in a warm contained for you to self order and collect immediately. I got a double burger which was good but nothing exceptional - similar quality as a McDonalds burger. Rather expensive for what it is at 5€.

Perfect place to try some Dutch snacks… they are all between 2.80 - 3 each and all come out the machine piping hot! We had a few different options from the machine and enjoyed all of them. If your looking for somewhere to try some traditional Dutch snacks and want to pay a cheaper price then this is the place! Highly recommend if your in the area.

Lo primero que hicimos según llegamos a Ámsterdam fue visitar este lugar, porque para nosotras era algo nuevo y original. Me sorprendió aún más, la comida super calentita, los croquets, que es como pollo eran muy ricos, crujientes y sabrosos. La hamburguesa por su precio y rapidez y que el servicio auto pago y auto servicio, nada que envidiar a las de otras cadenas rápidas, yo probé alguna cosa típica y me gustó, usan mucho las especias con pimienta. Tiene una pequeña barra y asiento por si quieres comer dentro o te lo llevas. El precio es bastante económico sobre todo si tienes hambre y quieres comer comida rápida y muy rápida. Cada comida viene en su cajita y tienes servilletas en la barrrita o mostrador.

Located on the main artery between Centraal Station and Dam Square, they offer the famous chips with joppi sauce. It's a very generous portion of chips and for a great price.

Dieser Laden ist perfekt für den schnellen Hunger und glänzt förmlich durch sein leckeres Chicken, welches in einem perfekten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis steht. Außerdem ist ein Riesieges Lob an den Syrischen Verkäufer rauszugeben, welcher sehr großen Humor mit uns Pflegte, wir als Deutsche Touristen sind wirklich in diesem Laden auf unsere Kosten gekommen. Zudem ist auch die Möglichkeit gegeben nicht nur dort zu bestellen sondern an der Wand sich das Essen auch ganz einfach zu kaufen. Also wirklich eine große Empfehlung meinerseits. MfG

Afgelopen zaterdag weer hier fantastisch patat met mayonaise gegeten. Een softijs meegenomen voor onderweg. Alles klasse, heel aardig personeel en schoon, en je kunt even zitten om te eten. Fantastische locatie om in een drukke stad als Amsterdam een hapje te eten. Gevarieerd aanbod en zeer aardig en hartelijke personeel. faire prijzen. Ik kom zeker terug!
