Snackbar Babo in Nieuwe Pijp

The food was very delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. I highly recommend it, and the restaurant and food were very clean.

I just ordered food here, and it arrived at the agreed-upon time. The young man just didn't know where to ring the bell, and even after our phone call, it didn't seem to register. I went downstairs to get my food. When I opened my food upstairs, I noticed that the sauce was already in the container, even though I'd checked it separately. The sauce was all over the bag. My fries were tough and old, looking like they'd been refried. I didn't even eat them. If you ask me, they should be ashamed to deliver food this way. And then it was cold (even though he called seven minutes earlier to say he was coming, so he shouldn't have).

What a terrible experience and a completely unfriendly man. I decided to eat elsewhere. Totally unwelcome.

I ordered food using a online app and waited two hours and food never came, when I called to the place they couldn't speak English, I'm going to bed hungry and I want my money back. Don't order here.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The flavors weren't balanced, and the dish wasn't well-prepared. A shame, because I had high hopes for it.

It was a very good snack bar with low prices and tasty food. I would definitely recommend this

Nice food but not given my drink

The place was very clean and well kept. The guy behind the counter was nice and friendly. Got a menu for 10€ (a kebab box and a soda). Surprisingly tasty for the price

Kapsalon ordered... it was filled with shaorma meat (doesn't belong... just like pickles)... fries were cold, meat was sour, the whole container was floating in the liquid... took 2 bites and threw them in the trash... .never eaten such a bad hair salon...I will never order from here again!

Had ordered here, really not recommended unless you like soggy shawarma sandwiches with rabbit food, never seen a pickle on a shawarma sandwich, delivery was fast, to be honest

BABO equals a cozy community center at night. Top tent. Gabriel is like a father figure to me. Always up for games where you can win discounts, so give it a try. Mo is also a real top guy. My personal favorite are the shredded potatoes.

OMG! This place is unreal, flavour and vibes are unmatched. Even the knoflooksaus is insanely home made. Shout out to Gabriel the OG fries baker… oh wait the fries btw they are home made waaaay too good to discribe!!! 🤟🏽🤟🏽🩷🩷🩷

The people who work here are super nice, but I'm sorry to say that the food is pretty gross (even for late night options). The fries were okay, so 2 stars for that, but the "chicken wrap" was foul. The "chicken" is a hyper processed chicken burger patty that's deep fried, then cut in half. Also the hygiene practices could be better 😅😬

Besteld op thuisbezorgd midden in de nacht. Oprecht de 3 lekkerste cheeseburgers ooit!!!! Veel beter dan de Mc en ook nog een goeie prijs. Keep it up!!!!

I walked from the hotel here with my brother. The cook was a short haired man which was very friendly and even shared some jokes with us. He spoke English and Dutch so that was a plus. It’s a nice little small place. Very convenient for a late night eat. He said they close at 5am on Saturday nights. Not sure if it’s really 24 hours but you can come super late.

Ik bestel hier soms een frietje en snack om 5pm, vlak na mijn werk. Ik bestel ook wel eens een frietje en snack om 2am als ik dronken ben. De kwaliteit is altijd hetzelfde! Krijgen ze een Michelinster? Neuh. Gewoon lekker no nonsens. Een prima snackbar met goede porties en ruime openingstijden. Ik raad ze aan!

Haal hier nooit, maar dan ook nooit, een kapsalon. En haal het maar in je maffe kop om een raspatat te bestellen. De friet is slapper dan mijn toverstaf na twee lijnen coke. Alles doordrenkt in saus en het vlees te zout, nu al last van m’n maag. Kortom ik baal als een stekker. (wel vriendelijk personeel, vandaar twee sterren en niet één, want als het aan het eten ligt….) niet weg te harken….

Als je zin hebt om een dik half uur op slappe patat te wachten moet je hierheen. Wel een vriendelijke man, maar het is duidelijk dat hij geen tijd heeft voor alle orders die hij binnenkrijgt en toch neemt hij ze aan...

Ik snap niet waarom mensen babo maar 2 sterren geven? gabriël, je bent echt een legend, naast dat de falafel wrap en de patat echt lekker was hebben we ook ook spelletje gespeeld! Als je raad wat 19,95% was van het bedrag was dat we hiervoor moesten betalen kregen we korting, julian had het goed geraden en kregen we gwn 10% korting van hem??? Winnaars. Maar de grootste winnaar blijft gabriël, s/o naar jou man

Ik heb aangegeven dat ik met 20 Euro VAST zou betalen. De driver had geen wisselgeld. En ik had satesaus besteld voor mijn patat maar helaas, GEEN satesaus: maar wel voor betaald he?! Ik heb ze nog gebeld maar niemand pakt op. Zo jammer als men die hele kleine simpele dingen vergeet. Echt JAMMER!

De babo is een geweldige snackbar. Vooral de kroketten precies goed krokant. De service is heel goed. Ik ben fan!

We have visited amsterdam a few times a yr for past few yrs and the last time we went we would stop by to talk to Uncle Babo everyday! I love the fries! Local snack bar with great options and friendly service! My girlfriend and i are vegetarians and when we explained that to the shopowner he supplied plenty of meat free alternatuves sone of which were a very tasty meal.
