Delicious falafel and feta pita. I loved it. You can add all the salad and sauces you want. The prices are quite reasonable. The service was good, and they were very patient. They have a small terrace on a lively street if you want to eat there.

More value for customers than money. The lady simply said don't buy this portion you don't need this much ! Why,! She could have just earned more. Rather she advised us well. Customer over money.. 3 different workers have served me here and all spoke great Spanish even though they weren’t from Spanish speaking countries. Also when they found out I was Mexican they told me the ‘spicy’ salsas are not actually not spicy and they were right😂

Absolutely delicious felafel pita from here! I got served a white pita with felafel, hummus, and cabbage and was able to fill it with an array of toppings, self serve style. I saw people with fries too and they looked amazing. Definitely recommend

TOP service and food! My daughter had forgotten her bag with dancing shoes and phone here in the evening. The next morning, before we were about to leave for Schiphol, we only found out. The owners of Sonny answered the phone at 7:30 and they had kept the bag with contents for us. Even better, I could pick it up at 8 in the morning!! I am still grateful to them for this.

I follow Jain dietary restrictions (vegetarian, no onion, no garlic, no potatoes, no mushrooms). They unfortunately did not have Jain friendly falafel and hummus but were able to offer me some salad and pita wrap options. I ordered pita wrap with some cabbage, couscous salad, cucumber, tomatoes, vegan mayo and yogurt. It was delicious and the portion was also great! Overall, the staff is very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

If you are in the mood for a falafel pita with delicious fresh salad or equally delicious fries, go to Sonny's! I recently ordered the cheese pita there, and it was hands down the best I've ever eaten. An absolute gem in the city, cannot recommend Sonny's enough!

I've been coming here for around 15 years. The only place in Amsterdam where you can get a falafel with such an extensive salad bar and sauces with all kinds of flavors and herbs. It is not without reason that most businesses in this neighborhood go bankrupt every few years, but Sonny has been in the same place for so long. Sonny and his wife were really well known in the neighborhood and his brother and his wife took over everything and are nice, friendly and attentive people. Definitely recommended, also for tourists . Good food, good people.

I am gluten intolerant, and found this on the Find Me GF app. The man who served us was very kind and told me what I could and couldn’t have. The falafel was delicious! So tasty with the unlimited salad you can get - and the chips are GF too! Very yummy, and home made. 10/10 recommend if you’re in Amsterdam after a tasty meal.

A must if you are in De Pijp or in Amsterdam at all! Very friendly people, delicious falafel and a very wide range of sauces and salads. You are really full, but at the same time it is not too heavy. The fries are also particularly tasty and crispy. The atmosphere in the tent feels like some kind of time capsule from 20 years ago, which only makes the atmosphere even better.

For just €8,70 you get falafel in pita bread with hummus and infinite amounts of salad- You heard that right you can come back to get more salad infinite amounts of times. I mean this is a fairy tale for any falafel lover. PS: The fries are great as well, they are homemade from 0 to hero right there at Sonny...

I have been coming to this place for over 20 years and the only thing that has not changed in all those years is the taste and quality of the food. Everything just fits here. The falafel is a masterpiece, the fries are delicious, the sauces are perfect, the dips are mouth-watering. I have not mentioned the most important thing, the staff. I know this place from when Sonny was alive. A very nice man who had a very positive outlook on life and had an eye for all people. Everyone loved Sonny. His brothers continue his legend, also very nice people who have never compromised on the quality of the food. So this tent has a story. All in all not 5 stars but 500 stars. RIP Sonny...

Incredible, it’s the best falafel I’ve ever eaten. The toppings are self-service so you can make a real mix of condiments and sauce, which is rare! And the restaurant is run by a very friendly family, frankly it’s 10/10

A falafel restaurant is a sandwich and in front of you there are various vegetables and sauces that are free. If you ask for the samouna, you will get bored of the Indian nationality or his wife. It is delicious and sweet. It will not please you. I advise you to try it.
