Spaghetteria in Nieuwe Pijp

The ambiance was amazing, location too, the staff was also wonderful ! Very nice and welcoming ! Food arrives rather fast, and is delicious ! My boyfriend and I got a burrata and I know it's a very simple dish but it was very well seasoned and the size of it was perfect as a starter. Honestly size-wise I feel like it all was on point ! You'll walk out feeling full and satisfied but not heavy and tired ! Price is very decent too !

Would give wayyyy lower if I could - do NOT go here if you are celiac / gluten intolerant.

Notified of gluten and dairy allergy. She even repeated everything back to me, and said “Correct. No butter, cheese, or milk.” I received the dish and it clearly tasted of butter. I asked her again and she said she would check with the chef. The meat was cooked and pan-fried in butter and then that butter and meat was mixed into the GF pasta. We also were the first people in the restaurant. We sat at the front window looking outside. And there was a strong smell of dead-rat/rat poop. I guess they should’ve been a sign. Btw. In 10-5 years, I think this is my 3rd or 4th review less than 4 stars.

Boris was excellent server. Made several recommendations which we really enjoyed for both the wine in the food. Bruschetta was on grilled sourdough bread and could be picked up to eat. The Arrabiatta sauce was perfectly spicy. As investment bankers, we Highly recommend!!

Sadly wouldn’t recommend Spaghetteria. The antipasto misto was overpriced for what it was, the waiter got our order wrong, and the mains took a long time to arrive. Most disappointing of all, the pasta tasted below average.

The staff, specifically Manou, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and helped us figure out what was best to eat. We would come here again and again. The food was amazing, some of the best we’ve had in Amsterdam. I’m gluten-free, which is hard to find an Amsterdam, so it was such a relief to find something so good!

Before our visit to Cinetol, we looked for a place to eat in the neighborhood and ended up at Spaghetteria. Friendly and efficient service, and delicious food. Worth repeating!

A relaxed, communal atmosphere, warm service, good wine, and expertly prepared Italian dishes. A wonderful discovery and excellent value for money.

Fantastic hostess (Kelsey) made me feel at home and pampered. She understands what running a restaurant is all about. The food was excellent, and what happened next was "unreal": dining out with my three daughters and celebrating their birthday. I'm in love and completely satisfied. We frequent multiple locations and can always order half-and-half portions for half the price. This time, we had to pay the full price for half a portion. This should have been mentioned if this policy had changed. It wasn't resolved or explained in a friendly manner.

We are touristing in the city for a few days and spotted the ‘Carbonara night’ advert. Best decision in a long time was booking a table there ! Great tasting fresh pasta, fab wine, great ambiance and the manager Kelsey was just the best hostess ever. Wholeheartedly recommend it.

Food was FANTASTIC, especially the bread, and the drinks were great. The Panna Cotta was indulgent (YUM), and the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful.

Myself and my partner visited Amsterdam for a long weekend last week, we ate out at several different restaurants however this one was by far our favourite! Really lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The food was also fantastic, the number 6 on the menu was one of the best pastas I’ve ever tasted, I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

It was a very weird experience. First they were trying to give us a very uncomfortable shared table with some other people while half of the restaurant was empty. We insisted and finally got a better table. Then we ordered pasta and we clearly mentioned the number on the menu but they brought a totally wrong pasta for us! One of the guys who was taking the orders added cheese on top of the pasta with hands without gloves or anything and it was sooooo gross! 🤢 when we wanted to pay and get out we had to wait and being ignored for 10 min because the guy was chatting with someone acting like he is not seeing us at all. This restaurant is a complete No Go. Not recommended at all.

Went here for a first date yesterday and wow, what a fantastic evening! A very cozy atmosphere, candlelit, not too loud, just perfect for conversation. We shared the antipasti platter, an amazing pasta dish, and tiramisu → honestly the most delicious pasta I've had in a long time. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive; when they heard it was a first date, they even gave us a round of drinks on the house, so sweet! In short: the perfect place for a cozy, relaxing evening. We'll definitely be back (hopefully soon together again). Thanks, Spaghetteria Van Woustraat!

We had a wonderful meal at Spaghetteria! The atmosphere is super cozy. We sat by the window and had a lovely view outside. We shared the Antipasto Misto as a starter, and for the main course, I had the Truffle Ravioli. It's so delicious, my mouth is still watering. Excellent pasta and a wonderfully flavorful sauce! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend eating here!

We had delicious pasta at the large table in the middle of the restaurant. A very cozy setting: eating with strangers at the table, a newspaper and candles in the middle, and a very good red wine to go with it—perfect! Friendly service and a real Italian chef in the kitchen (at least on Mondays).

Spaghetteria is always one of my favourite restaurants. This location feels the most intimate and personal, since it is very small, so you can really feel the Italian vibes. The service is very friendly and are supportive with translating the menu and making the right decision. Easy to walk in and a relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed eating pasta 6 with Ragout. One of my favourites!

A chance find, and we were lucky to find a cosy warm space to eat delicious food. Amazing hosts. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely excellent Italian, some of the best I have ever had. We ordered the tagliatelle with venison and the pasta with scallops. Both dishes were outstanding with rich flavors and very fresh ingredients. The menu includes unique seasonal options that make it worth returning. Service was warm, attentive, and personable. My wife is gluten free and they were careful and accommodating, offering gluten free penne for any dish. It is the only gluten free pasta option, so keep that in mind. It is a popular spot, so make a reservation on weekends. We have visited before and could not get in without one.

Good food, but when you ask for a knife they become unfriendly

Coming in the place was crowded, packed! The Vongole night is a special, and it’s awesome. The blond manager made us feel right at home while waiting: we were not in a rush, she knew how to make waiting feel like waiting with a drink in Italy. We had a cosy, comfortable night full of delicious food and wines: Spaghetteria never misses, especially this location❤️!

Quite a disappointing birthday dinner, especially for the price. I’m gluten intolerant, so I asked what dishes could be made gluten free. I was told all of them except the ravioli, which is understandable, so I excitedly ordered the gnocchi as I rarely get to have it. When it arrived, the waiter charmingly said “Here’s your gnocchi! But, it’s not gnocchi anymore, it’s penne.” Why wasn’t I warned of this when I was ordering? Plus there were only 4 prawns on the whole plate - for the price I expected way more. I don’t like to kick up a fuss and I didn’t want to put a downer on my own birthday so I just kept quiet and ate it but a week later I’m realising how disappointed I was. My partner had a pistachio spaghetti dish that was just laden with large chunks of garlic. He loves garlic but this was way over the top, he could barely taste the pistachio and other flavours and ended up leaving most of his meal. Overall, quite disappointing and idk why this place has so much hype about it.

The atmosphere is captivating! It's a delight to sit outside and admire the Amsterdam skyline, the service is super friendly, and the food is delicious! We returned twice during our vacation! I recommend the stracciatella, mortadella, and pistachio sandwich, but the pastas are also delicious!

We were looking around not sure of what to have and Spaghetteria had no room left outside and seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal and it didn't disappoint. My wife and I ordered the Arrabiata and the Garlic, pistachio and pecorino spaghetti and they both were delicious. Fantastic service, good portion size and my wife finished the meal off perfectly with the Tiramisu. A lovely meal to start her 40th birthday weekend celebrations off in Amsterdam! Thank you

Super sweet girls in the service who really did their best. But what happened to the portions? Yes, everyone struggles with inflation, I understand that. But this is no longer relevant. The prices have gone up by 50%, the portions on the other hand halved. Thanks for the free dessert to make up for it; I have had many nice evenings here from the first hour, unfortunately this was the last time for me.

Such a lovely place! The atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming. The staff are very kind and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. We tried the pasta and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

A nice little selection for pasta lovers. I can recommend the truffle pasta. The portion may look small for some, but I was very full. The portion of pasta with Pesto Genovese, on the other hand, was large and very tasty. And the pasta with deer ragout also tasted delicious. We took a mixed platter of starters, which we found too small for the price. Everyone can decide for themselves. Everything was delicious. We sat outside and were protected even in a rain shower.

We went to eat here by chance. Ate a delicious pasta. Fantastic dessert.

I had the bruschetta as a starter. It was 3 small toasts with tomatoes (which had little taste), zucchini (which was delicious) and because I don't like truffles I opted for another one with tomato. As main course I had number 3 from the menu: spaghetti alla chitarra aglio ollio pistachio, it was very tasty, especially the garlic in it gave a sharp and good taste and the bread next to it was super fresh! To finish I had panna cotta (great dessert) with fresh jasmine tea which had a nice taste! A 4 for the service instead of 5 because there were mouse droppings on my table (this was reported upon departure). The waitress on Thursday was very friendly, thought she was a nice server.

Went there for carbs loading the day before the marathon. What a great chocie. Pasta was great. When we received the plates, we thought that quantity was not enough, but we figured out later that is was. Highly recommended.

We are here to visit for my partners birthday and we are fans of Italian food. This place did not disappoint. The food was beautiful, the atmosphere was nice and friendly, not to mention the staff was welcoming and made us feel relaxed the moment we walked in. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area, and will be coming back here the next time we visit Amsterdam.

Poor packaging for food, they haven't packed bread that comes with pasta properly, they just kept it in paper bag which they gave for delivery. Pasta was okayish, tiramisu was very good!
