I truly love this cute little pasta bar! I’ve visited it a few times, and honestly, it’s probably my favorite place for pasta in Amsterdam. The menu is not very big, and the food options are quite limited, but I actually find that a good thing, because fewer items mean they can really focus on cooking pasta perfectly. I usually came here during lunchtime, and my absolute favorite dish to order was Mezze Maniche con Ragù di Cinghiale (Wild Boar Ragù Pasta) – made with wild boar ragout, red wine, rosemary, tomato sauce, and Grana Padano. Trust me, every single time I had it, the dish was super delicious! They absolutely nailed this pasta in every way: the presentation was always attractive; the pasta had the perfect al dente texture and really tasted like freshly made pasta; the ragù meat was soft, flavorful, and slow-cooked; the sauce had a rich tomato flavor with just a hint of sweetness, and the way all those flavors came together was a killer! Honestly, this is one of my TOP favorite pasta dishes I’ve ever had in my life! I highly recommend trying it here! Another plus is how quickly they prepared the meal – usually within 10 minutes, so I never had to wait long. This dish also comes with a piece of bread, which was always fresh and tasty. This Wild Boar Ragù Pasta costs €16, and I think this price is reasonable for its high quality and portion size – it always filled me up completely. Once I also tried their Bruschetta, and it was excellent – fresh and flavorful; I can highly recommend it as a starter. Price-wise, my bill was usually around €20 for a pasta and a soft drink, and once, with Bruschetta, it came to about €28. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. At lunchtime it was usually only half full, so I never had trouble finding a table inside. Twice I was lucky to sit outside, which is definitely my preference when the Amsterdam weather is nice. This pasta bar is always spotless – they clean tables right after guests leave. And what I really appreciate is that, even though the space is small and the kitchen is open, it never smells like food inside. The interior design is simple but pretty and cozy – a very pleasant atmosphere to sit and enjoy your meal. The staff were always sweet and friendly to me. By the way, I first discovered the Wild Boar Ragù Pasta because a super sweet cashier/waitress suggested it, and I’m still really grateful for her tip. Now it’s my turn to pass the tip on to you: go visit this pasta bar and order the Mezze Maniche con Ragù di Cinghiale – you’ll love it!

I take the same dish 9 times out of 10, and sometimes it’s creamy and delicious, but other times it’s quite watery, or other times yet, really dry. Still worth a visit though!

Well this is a 8,5€ bruschetta.. yes.. 8,5€! A slice of bread thinner than my finger some tomatoes and olive oil. Something that costs to the house less than one euro! I know that amsterdam is overpriced but one thing is being overpriced other is stealing! If the ingredients were good but its so bad so poor quality! The tomatoes have ZERO taste, the cheapest of the cheapest. The bread? Terrible. And they have the courage to charge 8,5€? 😂😂 i mean, i would like the owner to justify. I lived in Italy, i tried a lot of bruschettas. This is the poorest of the poorest yet the most expensive of them all. If i was the owner i would feel embarrassed

Pasta is not bad but on the pricey side for what you get. However the bruschetta, which is one tiny piece of bread with tomatoes that had zero taste, is ridiculously overpriced for 8.50€. For that reason alone I wont return

Food was very good but due to a wrong pasta for the other table, I got the one that was wrong and it was already cold. Nice terras and good flavours. The spaghetti aglio e olio was super! You always get a piece of bread with it.

Nice place, too bad there is a very small menu card but the restaurant is different from most pasta restaurants. I am just curious how they would make carbonara or simple bolognese for example.

My wife and I had lunch at Spaghetti Caffe on Sunday 6/7/25. Our Ragu , Aglio Olio Pistachio and soft drinks were prepared and delivered to our table efficiently. The Ragu was good but would better if the sauce was meatier, thicker and richer. The Aglio Olio was very good. The cobs of bread were freshly baked and a lovely accompaniment to the pasta dishes. The staff were friendly and efficient. We recommend Spaghetteria Caffe !!!

Ordered at 13:52 to pick up pasta at 14:30 in the store. I came from Almere, so I had plenty of time to pick up the order. I arrived there at 14:45 because of the huge traffic on the road. The order was not ready and had to be made for some unknown reason. I was of course very irritated because I had clearly indicated that it had to be ready so that I could continue driving to work. After I had indicated that I was not happy, they offered to make it anyway. The pasta would be ready within 2 minutes. That is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion! So I left the store. I will never come here again!

Quaint Italian spot, surprisingly authentic. The lunch ragu or al'arabbiata were honest and filling. Only note: the pasta could be cooked more in the al dente style.

Always a nice place for a good pasta. Not the widest range, but strong basic dishes - and that's actually just right. Plus point: long opening hours, also ideal with our little one. Recommended for a relaxed, no-nonsense pasta.

Food was very disappointing. Ordered ravioli that was on the menu as 'Ravioli with cream sauce and leek'. No cream sauce or leek in sight, just very boring dry ravioli with a tiny hint of tomato sauce. Unfortunately, I am allergic to tomatoes. Very mediocre.

We were treated super nice, we arrived 45min before dinner time by mistake and we were attended very kindly, the food was very good in quality and quantity, they advised us with the wine and the attention was adequate and permanent. We will come back, we felt at home.

Another great Italian spot in this part of town. Small but excellent menu. The ravioli and venison ragu are both current favs. Good wine menu and the service is always spot on. Atmosphere is more of a cafe or eatery style, which suits the menu perfectly. Great coffee too!

The dish was undercooked, both the pasta and the sauce. Pieces of raw garlic and the sauce needed longer to come together. Service slow despite only a handful of diners. Seemed like the chef was having to do front of house duties himself.

Ordered pasta with shrimps, I only got 4 shrimps, the cream sauce doesn't taste like rooom! Little taste and I asked without tomato, but I still got tomatoes. I left the pasta because I really didn't like the pasta, and I still had to pay 18.50 for a pasta which was not worth it at all 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 super bad! If you want to save money I would never eat here

Unfortunately, only the name and the background music are Italian. Expensive dishes that not only do not meet expectations, but are also poorly prepared and have nothing to do with Italy: I start from the fact that the menu has numbers for each course, I expressed my order by showing the numbers on the menu, another dish was brought to me. The menus are not removed, and while eating I find these menus thrown haphazardly on the table. My friend's plate, full of garlic, while mine, 6-8 ravioli immersed in cream with an aftertaste of fake truffle that was the only thing that remained in my mouth until late at night. If you are Italian, perhaps you should take advantage of the holidays to go back and refresh your ideas on how to cook and taste, so as not to use ready-made products of questionable quality.

For being in Amsterdam, the prices are reasonable, the portion is fair, but you have to understand that lunch there is something light, yes, the ravioli are delicious.

Mid-March and a very beautiful sunny day in Amsterdam. As a pasta lover, I am regularly looking for a good pasta. This spaghetteria cafe had three nice sunny tables outside. We took the plunge and asked if it was possible to make 3 small pastas, together the size of 1 portion. This was possible after consultation with the chef. It's nice if something extra is possible, but that is usually difficult for many restaurants. They also creatively solved the price, so they checked each dish at the cash register and took 50% off. I think that's very neat. The chef himself came out on the terrace to explain them. Three completely different pastas, all made with love, and the flavors were perfect. The ragout pasta was my personal favorite. Compliments also to the young lady at the counter who was friendly, quick and helpful. Good oil and balsamic vinegar are standard on the table with a fine salt and pepper mill. Every restaurant should also provide a (free) carafe of tap water on the table without asking. I would say just sit down at this spot and enjoy the spectacle of traffic passing by...

Attractive place and the food was delivered very quickly. Just think the place is a bit overhyped. I have eaten there twice now and both times the pasta was not very tasty and this time it even contained raw garlic, which gave me extreme stomach pain all evening.

Good food in itself. Very small portions though. So I indicated that I would still like some pasta. You can also order half a portion, said the nice waiter. Good idea I thought. I see on the bill that not half but 75% is charged. When I asked the waiter for an explanation why he had not mentioned this when ordering, he said that his boss did not have to tell him that. Okay, I thought, so it's happened before! It's a pity. To be honest, it takes the longest and otherwise I would have ordered a whole portion for such a small difference. Small starter, 1.5 portion of main course and a few wines for 66 euros and I left hungry. From now on I'll eat at home because I live down the street.

Got 5 sandwiches for lunch. 11 euros each. That was very disappointing! Wouldn't have wanted to pay more than 4 euros for it. Cracking taste! Prepared with little love and passion. The basics were on the sandwich and it was nothing more than that. They tried to boost the taste with half a bag of arugula on the sandwich, but it didn't work. I really wouldn't order or have dinner here. In short, not recommended!

Finally good coffee which is hard to find in this whole city - real Italian espresso not this acidic hipster coffee. At a very fair price, too. Nice attentive personnel and good atmosphere

One of many great authentic Italian restaurants that you can find in Amsterdam city. The food is absolutely delicious and freshly made. Pasta as it should be, simple yet delicious and full of flavour!! The crew is friendly and helpful. It’s great to see the crew at work in the open kitchen. The interior is welcoming and feels homely. I did not make a reservation, I was a walk-in on a Monday early afternoon around 1.30pm. I was the only customer at that time, so it was nice to have the entire restaurant to myself. I had the “Spaghetti ala chitarra con aglio eolio”. Which is Spaghetti with olive oil, chili peppers, garlic, parsley and Pecorino Romano cheese. It was really good and the fresh baked bread is a perfect vehicle to accompany the pasta and to scoop up the olive oil and herbs to clean up the plate. For drinks I had the peach juice and for dessert I had their tiramisu. It was creamy, had a good consistency and most importantly it was not overly sweet. Definitely recommended to spend some time here by yourself or with friends and/or family and enjoy some delicious authentic Italian goodness!!

Generally, I’m not a fan of the pastas at the Spag, but I’ve decided to have another attempt after some time and I must say that it was well worth the decision. I ordered the pasta with deer meat and wow, this was so tender and flavoured. If you’re headed here, take my advice and order that one! One less impressive thing is the tiramisu, it tastes as though they’ve diluted the flavour and overall texture. Not a fan.

I ve been here for lunch, i ordered a spaghetto alla chitarra oil and garlic, with pistach. Pasta was al dente (of course), and was balanced. There was no one ingredient that could cover the taste or texture of another one...and it has been smart from the chef manuel (or emanuele) the paprika on top and not mixed. 1st for the color and 2nd for the taste. The server Samantha was lovely, i am ANNOYING about drinks, but without killing me she made me a spritz perfect (i do not like so much aperol in it). I will be back. Vote 5. I am a waitress, so i am sure about my review. Well done team!!
