WARNING: Highly Unsanitary Bar Practices My husband and I sat at the bar and watch the bartender taste every cocktail with the bar spoon- the proceeded to stir the drinks with the same bar spoon without cleaning, sanitizing, or changing the spoon. Every cocktail that was served was made with this contaminated spoon. The bare spoon was placed into a glass of tap water, with the beer foam scraper. If you order a cocktail or tap beer, you will most likely receive a contaminated drink, with some saliva from the bartender. Gross. Talked to the host, who said he would talk to the manager, but throughout our meal, nothing was done and the bartender proceeded to taste and mix drinks with the same spoon. We will not be returning to Stacks.

It really feels like having breakfast in America - from the location, the huge portions, top quality food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I got food poisoning here. I contacted the restaurant, but they said it wasn't something else. Well, I'm sure it was. It's a very strange reaction for someone to say they got sick from your food. After I contacted them, they didn't contact me again. It's a shame because the service in the restaurant was quite nice. I wouldn't risk getting sick and I don't recommend eating there. Update Jan. 26: They contacted me and refunded the entire meal. Great. Thanks!

Solid breakfast spot, loved the cozy diner feel. Staff was great, food was tasty and delish. Loved the fried chicken sammy and the fried eggs were cooked perfectly. Donut was a nice add on too!

Dinner on Dec 29, reserved a spot for two via restaurant website. Katie (I hope I got the name right) was kind enough to push our reservation by 45 mins when I called the restaurant since we were running late. Thank you for doing that! When we reached the restaurant, we were told that most of the items that had chicken and fish were unavailable, even fries were out of stock. I would have liked this information when I called to push our reservation because I would have been okay canceling my reservation even if it meant losing 20 euros. The food we ordered was hash browns, spinach, paprika chicken and a biscuit due to the limited options available. Except the paprika chicken everything else could have been skipped. The hash browns were so bad that when we told the restaurant about it they removed it from our final bill. The biggest red flag for me was the Dry Aged Steak w/ Chimichurri; on the menu its priced at 16 euros/100grams but when we wanted to order 200 grams we were told that the minimum quantity for an order is 450 grams. This is not stated on the menu and given the food options were limited, they could have accommodated our request. Strongly suggest that they update their menu and add the minimum quantity requirement or price the dish at 72 euros/450grams so that its not misleading. We skipped dessert since the food was underwhelming and the overall experience was meh. The service professionals were all super kind, understanding and went above and beyond to help us so kuddos to them. Would I recommend stacks to anyone visiting Amsterdam? NOPE

It was our last night in Amsterdam before flying back to Singapore the next morning. We walked in to a full house Stacks Diner. And thankfully, we were served by Imro who went the extra mile to squeeze out a table for us. And not only that, he made awesome food recommendations too! Thanks Imro for getting us that table. It was one of our bestest dinners in Amsterdam!

We absolutely love the atmosphere the dim lighting creates such a warm and cozy vibe. The food was excellent, especially the chicken biscuits. The rest of the meat dishes and the salad were delicious as well. The service was amazing; the staff are incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely check in to see how you’re doing. You really feel welcomed here. Highly recommended!

I would describe Stacks Diner in one word: "don't." We added it to our list based on recommendations while planning our Amsterdam trip. I wish we hadn't. We ordered almost the entire menu. I won't go back to Stacks Diner to eat any of it again. The brown butter mash was the height of disappointment. The dry-aged steak wasn't even mediocre. When the biscuit didn't satisfy us, we ordered cornbread, which was average. The pickles weren't pickles at all, neither sour nor salty. We thought maybe the monkfish would be good. It wasn't. I'll skip the flavors; the restaurant's biggest problem is the service. Forty minutes after ordering, the wine arrived at the table. The waiter couldn't open the bottle. We opened it ourselves. By the time the starters arrived, 50 minutes had passed. The main courses were on our table 1.5 hours later. We asked for salt, and the salt shaker was empty. When the starters arrived, there were no forks, knives, or spoons on the table. We had to ask for them. It was a bad experience in every sense. It's worth saying, don't…

We visited stacks diner after seeing it on the Ayaküstü Lezzetler YouTube channel and came with high expectations but unfortunately it was a disappointment. We ordered the chili glazed fried chicken and the dry aged steak. The biscuit served with the fried chicken was overwhelmingly buttery—to the point of being almost nauseating. On the menu, the dry-aged steak was listed as €16 per 100g. We asked for 200g, but were told the minimum order was 450g. Every review on Google seems to mention a different minimum gram requirement, so this clearly needs to be standardized and written on the menu. If I can’t order 200g, why does the menu shows that I can order by 100g? The flavor of the dry aged steak itself was nice, but it had gristle and inedible parts. No one asked how we wanted it cooked, and it automatically came out medium. The place was also extremely noisy, and the ambiance was way too dark. Even my phones screenlight was brighter than the actual lighting in the restaurant. Overall, we ended up paying a high price for a very average meal. It was disappointing.

The food is excellent. They have a small but well-curated wine selection. The staff are very friendly and warm. Perfect for hanging out with friends or for a sweet little date :)

Absolutely loved our experience at Stacks Diner! Every dish we tried was so delicious — truly, compliments to the chef. Even on a short trip to Amsterdam, this place is a must-try. Thank you for keeping such incredible flavors at such reasonable prices. Already looking forward to our next visit!

I was here on a dimly lit day, the pale sky entrenched Amsterdam in a melancholic light but walking into stacks diner the world turned warm, a longer amber lit hallway greeted my eyes with friendly staff smiling at me with there gazes. I got a chicken biscuit, or 2 with a beautiful chilli glaze and sat at the bar and admired a Latvians bartending skills. It is a beautiful experience and I would recommend you all to go

Overall the food was nice but the service was slow and poor. We had the Chilaquiles to start. These were wet and soggy and not especially nice. Also the beef was very sparse. The mains were very good in contrast. The steak was cooked perfectly and the wine was good. Throughout the service was very slow. A few people behind us waiting to be seated abandoned all together and it was clear that every table was getting slow service. Initially some drinks were missed from our order. Overall it was ok

We had a reservation at 8 PM and arrived exactly on time, but no one acknowledged us for about 15 minutes. We eventually had to approach a waiter ourselves. After sitting down, we ordered meat, but no one asked how we wanted it cooked or explained how it’s normally prepared. Our drinks were practically thrown onto the table without even asking who ordered what. The food was tasty, but the service was so poor that I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money on such a disappointing experience.

This was my second time at Stacks. We were sitting at the counter. We were disgusted when we saw one of the servers, who had been moving around the whole restaurant, touch the cinnamon rolls and doughnuts with his hands. Servers are bussing tables, cleaning things off, so to see someone fully grab doughnuts and the rolls without tongs, it was quite gross. Only after we made facial expressions, did the other server go get utensils to place our cinnamon roll (untouched by the other) onto a plate to serve us. I have worked in restaurants and I have never seen anyone but the cooks use their bare hands to handle food. It’s quite gross. Please get tongs or gloves for your servers!

Gave my name at the entrance and the guy said nothing and walked off. He came back a few minutes later and showed us to a table. Had to ask multiple times for drinks, red wine was fridge cold and then could only order a minimum of 300 grams of steak. Mains came before we'd finished eating the starters and the 'chef' stood there wanting us to take the mains until I said we'd like them when we've finished the starters. Very overpriced for average food (48 euros for a very average steak) and terrible service.

Honest, tasty food, a unique atmosphere, probably the only American-diner-style place in Amsterdam, and super-friendly service!

Went for dinner. We had a reservation and received a nice table. Would recommend you book in advance, especially for dinner on the weekends. I wanna start by pointing out how amazing service is here. It’s a cut above the service you receive anywhere else in the Netherlands, which makes sense, given the American roots of the establishment. The staff are very kind, attentive and accommodating. The food was also excellent. For those that crave hash browns and can’t find good ones in the NL, Stacks’ hash browns with sour cream & caviar really hit the spot. Delicious pairing! We also got the fried pumpkin. I forgot what the dressing was, but they worked perfectly together. I think this one might have been a seasonal special — so don’t miss it if you see it on the menu! I got the fried chicken biscuit (how could you not when you see it on the menu), and it was excellent! The honey glaze was a nice touch. My partner got the fried fish biscuit, and they really enjoyed it too. Finally, the banana pie is unmissable! It’s so delicious. Make sure to get a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side for a perfect pairing. Overall, we had a great time at Stacks. The diner-inspired ambiance accompanied by good service and delicious food made our night. Will be back!

I went there as a recommendation from the internet. People are super nice and friendly like in all city. The food is a bit overrated I guess apart from the steak. We enjoyed the steak but not the salad and others.

We went to Stacks a month ago and I've been meaning to leave a review because the food was SO GOOD! We shared the turbot and steak between two, the turbot was the best I've ever had and a decent portion, the steak was also great but the turbot really did steal the show! We also enjoyed some dirty martinis and a lovely bottle of white recommended by our friendly waiter. We will definitely be going back, only small criticism is it was extremely loud, nothing they can do about that really but just be aware you might have to shout on busy nights.

I liked their chicken burgers, but the beef wasn’t good at all. The atmosphere is nice, but it’s not very successful in terms of price-performance.

So we had a reservation from 17:15 and reservation is valid up until 19:15. The service was friendly and welcoming. Service was well timed and efficient. The food was good but not great. More seasoning goes a long way for us personally. The best dish for me was the pumpkin starter with the spicy peanuts. The rest was decent. My wife had a glass of bubbles. She was introduced to it with an elaborate explanation of origin etc. Dinner continued and we chilled for a bit not sure if we are wanting to order desert or changed our minds for another round of drinks. We chilling and talking and up comes the waiter to tell us if we are not ordering anything else, he would like to turn the table “coz he actually needs it” and “he doesn’t usually do this”. Completely taken a back by it, I obliged. What a way to ruin what was a decent experience. Won’t be going back there. Honour your time slots. I don’t care if I am sitting drinking water until 19:15. Anyways…onto the next one.

Amazing experience here. From a warm welcome at the door which never cooled down. Great food, atmosphere and hospitality. Add some maple syrup and you’re golden!

Unfortunately, we came here with suggestion. But the atmosphere is not fresh. And we wanted to order steak 200 grams, they said it can served just min 400 grams. We choose chicken fried with biscuit and 400 grams are very huge for us. We couldn’t order it. The chicken is normal, not special. You can find it anywhere. Mashed potatoes is not better than other places. I am so sorry but we couldn’t came here again and don’t suggest anyone’s.

We came here thanks to a Turkish influencer’s recommendation and loved it! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the place has a cozy, stylish vibe with dim lighting. We tried the grilled steak with chimichurri, the mashed potatoes, and the chicken biscuit. Everything was really good, but I would definitely recommend the mashed potatoes the subtle roasted butter flavor is perfectly balanced.

We went for dinner and had a really nice experience. The service was great, very attentive throughout the evening and they gave us recommendations. We ordered an Albariño, which was excellent, and really appreciated the interesting wine options on the menu. For food, we shared the steak, which was a very pleasant surprise, along with hash browns and the house salad. Portions aren’t huge, but the quality of the food is good. Just moved to Amsterdam and Stacks feels like an elevated taste of home! “We should come here all the time” said my 14 year old. 😆 Steak & eggs was extraordinary, a real standout! The Big Stack was delicious and gave us a sample of everything including a fluffy American pancake. And the fried chicken biscuit with the chili glaze was unique and yummy. Warm and friendly service. We will definitely be back!

If prices were better, that'd be a better restaurant. We paid 14 euros for a salad with lettuce and some parmesan. Steak you could order 400 grams and ot cost 64 euros but I highly doubt it was 400. After spending 100 euros we had to eat somewhere else couple of hours later.

A really great brunch spot, I highly recommend visiting. They make really nice rose style scrambled eggs, super fluffy pancakes and buttery biscuits. I love the interior that gives off the classic diner vibe.

Hey, look. The best cookie I had in a long time. Cinnamon buns were 3.5/5. The pancakes… now let me tell ya hwat. Masterclass on texture & portion size. Add in the butter + syrup (sprinkle salt cuz that’s how I do it) serious contention for the best pancake in the city. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu 🥞

The food was very expensive for such small portions, you’re still hungry after. The taste is good though. What I found super annoying was the CONSTANT helicoptering of the staff, my god. We had a total of 4 (!) different servers coming to our table non stop, constantly asking: are you good? Do you like it? Do you need more? Are you good? Can I take this? Do you need more? Are you good? Are you done? Like JESUS let me enjoy sitting down for a bit without having to swat away staff all the time like some annoying fly? It really ruined the whole experience for me. I heard this is common in America but god don’t export it here… Just me let me sit in peace. It’s a small restaurant, if I need something I’ll let you know. Won’t be coming back for a while.

As an American I liked it but it didn’t love it. It’s the first place in the city I could get a standard simple breakfast. The bacon was amazing and the biscuit wasn’t dry which was nice but the eggs were drown in chives. I tried the homemade cream soda which was also good not great. Definitely want to go back and try a few more things on the menu

Service and ambience was great but food was extremely mid. For the style of food popeyes is miles, miles better. Not really what you’d expect for the amount of money you pay. I like the concept so hoping for them to lift their game.

AVOID! Box Social is a million times better. Gave this place a 2nd chance for brunch having been disappointed last year. When we walked in the restaurant smelled of urine/open sewer. The service was poor and disinterested. We requested a high chair for our one year old when booking. On arrival they said they only had one high chair that was already in use as the other was broken. Funnily they only had one high chair last year too ... Final straw was they had sold out of most items on the menu. At this point we just left and were able to get a table at Box Social in Jordaan. The experience was like night and day.

This was my second visit to Stacks — my first was back in January, and it was a really great experience, which is why I was excited to return. I specifically re-ordered two dishes I had loved the first time: the Caesar salad and the steak with chimichurri. Unfortunately, both were quite disappointing this time. The Caesar salad didn’t have the flavor or balance I remembered. On my first visit, it really stood out as one of the best Caesars I’d had, but this time it felt a bit sad — bland overall, and the endive added a bitterness that threw off the dish. The steak itself was still good — well-cooked and flavorful — but the chimichurri was a letdown. It didn’t resemble what I had before. I actually checked a photo I took during my first visit, and back then it was a bright, vibrant green sauce, clearly made with fresh herbs. This time, it looked and tasted more like coriander oil — dull in color and lacking that fresh, zesty kick you expect from a proper chimichurri. There were still positives: the chicken dish we also ordered was really nice, and the atmosphere of the space is still lovely. But overall, I left a bit disappointed. I came back because my first visit was so memorable, but the quality this time just didn’t match.

The dry aged steak was tasty and texture was disappointing. It had unchewable parts although it was a perfect medium raw. The fresh sauce was also delicious. The summer dish also delicious if you like mexican seasoning and peppers. The potato tots were too plain for my taste. The fudge was good. The chicken biscuit...the crust of the chicken was harder rather than crispy. The sauce was nice, the biscuit undercooked. The service was excellent, super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the American Diner vibe.

Stacks is a rare gem in Amsterdam where great food and genuinely outstanding service go hand in hand. Huge shoutout to Remy and chef Hennes for not only serving up excellent dishes, but also offering what is hands down the best service I’ve experienced in the city. In a city where restaurant service can often feel like you’ve wandered into a tragic sitcom, Stacks is a breath of fresh air. It captures the warm, familiar vibe of a classic American diner, the kind of place where you actually feel like part of the family. I’m a regular here for a reason. Whenever friends visit and feel done with the usual Amsterdam restaurant scene, I send them straight to Stacks for a truly enjoyable experience. Bravo, Stacks. Keep going.

This place is delicious. Simple menu mirroring an American like brunch. Food was amazing as well as the service. Fresh biscuits n gravy, and the chilaquiles were tasty and spicy.

We enjoyed it very much in terms of both food and service. both chicken and biscuit were delicious. The meat that came after was cooked perfectly and was like cotton. In general, everything was exactly as it should be.

Stacks was really nice we had this on our list as a must do after seeing some videos of it and it didn't disappoint. I spent alot of my life in America growing up and this is the first place I have ever eaten that is am 'american' food place that actually tastes genuine and the food was wonderful! We really enjoyed the experience overall the staff were really friendly, the food was lovely and the atmosphere in the place was really chilled, you can sit at the bar or the tables, we tried a variety of bits, steak, fish & chicken biscuits, creamed spinach and mash potato and all was lovely, the steak is quite chewy so we would maybe not have that in future but would definitely reccomend and we will be returning when we next go back!

Great diner food. The interior and staff is really what makes the restaurant. In terms of food the pancakes were tasty just not quite crispy enough for my liking. Good amount of butter and syrup though which was great to mop up with the busker and bacon. The brisket was great and so were the eggs and potatoes. Again I was not a fan of the style of bacon (maybe because I am Australian) but it was halfway between crispy and chewy. The cocktails were great though

Went there 19th April. Ordered 3 dishes. All served to the wrong table, all dishes Asparagus, chicken biscuit and steak were served at the same time. Therefore when we finished the the 2/3 the last dish got cold. The Asparagus and biscuits were good. The 30 euro steak is chewy. I can't finish the steak. The staff who clear the dishes doesn't seems bothered to ask how was the food. What was worst, the waiter(s) didn't clean the table nicely. One Asian or maybe be half Asian and the other clear the table in less than 10 seconds very promising but, there were some small pieces of left over food left on the bar and also the used napkin from customers before us left on the table the whole time I was there. You need just one waiter who works efficiently, not 2 to work inefficient.

Sirven comida clásica del sur de Estados Unidos, en un pequeño plato / estilo compartido. El ambiente es frío y recuerda a mi tiempo viviendo en Brooklyn. Sin embargo, el equipo es muy cálido y acogedor. Este no es un espacio intimidante para estar. Fuimos con una mezcla de tres entrantes, dos principales y un especial, más el postre. La ensalada de cuña era crujiente y refrescante, elaborada con ingredientes hiper locales y proporcionaba un cumplido refrescante a los chilaquiles. . . este fue el plato de la noche. Zingy y dando vida a la paleta, necesito esta receta para mi desayuno de fin de semana en casa! Stacks también es conocido por su postre y un colega dijo que teníamos que ir por la galleta y el crumble. No suelo hacer postre, pero logramos hacer espacio para estas delicias. ¡Quiero una tienda de galletas Stacks en Londres!

This week I am staying in Amsterdam for work and after a while in an Airbnb, you get the craving for someone else to cook your dinner. I love Dutch food, I really do... who doesn't love a Broodje Kroket? My friends and I headed out to De Clercqstraat to dine at Stacks Diner. They serve classic Southern US food, in a small plates/sharing style. The vibe is chilled and reminiscent of my time living in Brooklyn. However, the team are super warm and welcoming. This is not an intimidating space to be in. We went with a mix of three starters, two mains and a special, plus dessert. The wedge salad was crisp and refreshing, sourced using hyper local ingredients and it provided a cooling compliment to the Chilaquiles... this was the dish of the night. Zingy and bringing life to the palette, I need this recipe for my weekend breakfast at home! Stacks is also known for its dessert and a colleague said we had to go for the cookie and the crumble. I don't usually do dessert, but we managed to make space for these delights. I want a Stacks cookie shop in London!

Después de haber oído de muchos amigos que esto era una prueba obligada mis expectativas se establecieron, pero después de una buena visita debo estar de acuerdo , stacks diner es bien merecido de su brillante revisión . cuando entras en stacks sientes la anticipación de lo que viene . un vistazo a la cocina abierta y ya tienes una idea de lo que tus papilas gustativas pueden descubrir. como estábamos allí para celebrar un cumpleaños casi todo en el menú fue pedido . platos salieron en un clip agradable , nuestro servidor ayudando con las negociaciones espaciales. nuestro grupo debe haber pasado horas en el banquete porque nos fuimos a las media medianoche . no hay reparos del personal o anfitrión que realmente alentó nuestro ritmo lento. un restaurante como este es pocos y lejos entre . locales globales se sienten como en casa !

I live in Amsterdam now, but I was born and raised in the American South. I happened to walk by Stacks a couple months back. American soul food in the Netherlands?? Sign me up! I made a mental note that I would definitely come back to give them a try. When a fellow American friend came to town on a quick visit, it turned out to be the perfect place to take him. My friend had the fried fish. I had the grilled fish of the day, braised greens and cornbread. Your girl here knows from cornbread. As soon as I tasted Stacks’, I knew the place was legit. My fish was perfectly prepared, and the greens reminded me straight away of my godmother’s recipe. My friend’s fried fish was perfectly crispy, not the least bit soggy (if I was still Catholic, this place would win Lent). Everything we ordered was unimpeachably legit. Making everything even better, the service at Stacks was fast, friendly, and attentive. After we’d paid, I let the folks behind the counter know how great we found everything to be. The guy asked if I’d tried their biscuits. When I told him I had gone for the cornbread (basically on principle), he insisted I try a bit of biscuit. Other diners who were clearly regulars at the counter chimed in, “Oh yeah, you gotta have the biscuits!” Turns out, they were right. The biscuit was EXACTLY like the biscuits I grew up with, something I thought would be impossible to find on this side of the Atlantic. I’m not homesick for very much at all from the United States, but proper American soul food is definitely on that short list. Stacks, you knocked it out of the park. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Went to Stacks twice, both times for dinner. First time was around January and got a spicy chicken biscuit. It was very underwhelming, definitely nothing spicy about it. Overall bland and there was a lot of batter and not a lot of chicken. Second time was in April cause my friend really wanted to give them a second chance. I ordered hanger steak in red wine sauce with a side of hash browns. Hash browns were good but small. The steak I asked for medium well and got a well-done. It was served with a weird bunch of parsley that was supposed to be… garnish? Side salad? No idea. I didn’t like my food overall. It was underwhelming. Prices are way too high for what you get flavor and size-wise. The interior… I know they’re going for an American diner but something about it doesn’t feel cosy and ventilation in winter is bad - I smelled like fried chicken. Staff was friendly and attentive both times.

Wanted to try this place after a lot of recommendations! Unfortunately our experience was not the best Order was really messed up even from the drinks. Firstly our coffees came with the wrong milk, then after receiving our breakfast we waited on our side dishes. After finishing the breakfasts, a server came with a sweets menu and asked if we would like. We explained we were still waiting for two side dishes which they seemed unaware of. We were nicely offered a drink on the house, which never came even after we questioned about it. The food was pretty decent but just a shame of the service on this occasion. However the ‘spicy’ fried chicken is just a plain breaded piece of fried chicken

I have visited stacks a few times in the past, and have had mixed experiences. Unfortunately my last two experiences were not great. After a disappointing brunch last year, with really poor service, I had given some feedback, and they kindly offered to make it up to us the next time we came. So, I returned recently to celebrate my birthday with family visiting from abroad, and was excited to give it another chance, we had a good time, but overall the service was poor, and the food was really disappointing quality. The night did not start off great either, we waited nearly 30 minutes by the door for our table which we had booked in advance, while others who did not have a reservation were offered drinks as they waited, while we were not… We were eventually seated on a table which was covered in food residue, and my sister realised her seat was covered in someone’s mashed potato, which was all over her clothes. Really not nice. I tried to wave down a staff member, but couldn’t flag anyone down. The staff were super friendly but not the most attentive. They also did not have an allergen menu or a much knowledge of the allergens in the food. The hash browns were so chewy and overcooked. The fried chicken was very plain and anaemic looking. Another thing was that we told our server we wanted to take a break and smoke a cigarette, only to return to our main courses sitting cold at our table. After our meal we were asked to move to the bar at the front so they could clean our area, and we had not even been offered dessert at this stage. We felt like we were intruding just being there. I understand they were having a busy night, but for a place that charges this much for their food, this service and quality is not it. I loved this place when it first opened but after this most recent experience I unfortunately won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend stacks to a friend.

Great spot for good food, natural wine and cocktails. Get the dry aged steak, the chicken biscuit, the hash browns and the grilled Caesar salad. Plenty of gorgeous people watching !

Enjoyed the meal but would avoid ‘spicy’ fried chicken. 12 euros for a piece of fried chicken that came just breaded. No spice whatsoever. Ranch sauce was killer though. Love the atmosphere and Americana vibes.

Recently, I had the pleasure of brunching at Stacks Diner in Amsterdam, where I enjoyed their Diner Burger. This burger, being very simple, was very tasty at the same time. The hamburger steak was cooked perfectly, to medium rare. Although on the outside, the place does not look like much, the atmosphere of the restaurant inside is warm and welcoming, reminiscent of an authentic American diner. The staff was friendly and attentive which made the experience even more pleasant. I highly recommend Stacks Diner for those looking for an authentic American dining experience in Amsterdam. We didn't need to make a reservation for a Saturday at 11:30 a.m. but the restaurant was already full.

We popped by for breakfast with no reservation. It was absolutely wonderful! Latte was incredible, and the food was fantastic. It felt like true American home-cooking. It’s a little pricy for breakfast, but it was wonderful food. I would recommend!

Incredibly delicious and indulgent food. Everything was ao flavorful and they had the most perfect flakey biscuits. Outside seating was great, and the service was so warm and welcoming. Will be coming again :)

The food was delicious, we had the spicy fried chicken biscuit, buttermilk pancakes, cinnamon bun and a hash brow. The pancakes were a bit burnt but besides that, everything was great. The service was fantastic, super friendly staff and the owner is very kind. The vibe of the place is just spectacular, greeeeat music and beautiful interior.

Great concept and delicious food. The fried chicken biscuit and cheese grits were amazing, the steak tartare was underseasoned though. The service was very good and the desserts also delicious. Would definitely try again!

Average food quality ( a lot of fat) Restaurant looks like a retro american diner and the service is great!

Overall experience is just okay no more than that. The stake was chewy, chicken burger was way too dry and heavy by itself. The burger needs some acidity otherwise it’s too heavy and dry. Porsions are tasting size. It is on the expensive side considering the porsion sizes and general taste. If you are around and no place to go you could try. Maybe.

Good food and delicious homemade drinks! The service is very good, something you don't often experience in Amsterdam anymore. The owner is a cheerful American who receives everyone warmly.

The people, the food and the vibe are all coming together for an amazing experience. A must-visit for Brunch/Lunch or Dinner in Amsterdam. This has just got in my favourites list. For a nice diner experience, it is one of the best places in Amsterdam. However, they were out of something on the menu—cheese grits fries. We received our starter, cornbread, but then had to wait 70 minutes for the main dish to arrive. Considering that the main dish was just fried chicken and fish, this was far too long. We also ordered a hash brown with the main dish, but they forgot it—I get it, 70 minutes is a long time to remember the full order. The hash brown and the cheese grits—I ordered the creamy one just to try—were both not good. However, the chicken and fish were good.
