A great spot for a quick coffee or a leisurely dinner! Good, friendly service, atmospheric spaces with vintage memorabilia, candles on the table, cozy playlists, and all reasonably priced. We go there often, highly recommended!

We dined with a large group. The service was incredibly fast and well-coordinated. The staff listened attentively and took note of all our special requests. And most importantly, the food was delicious.

This place used to be good a few years ago. The last couple of times I have been disappointed. This time the saag ghost as a special was tiny. The size of a starter. And the breekbrood you get when you order food was a quarter of the size it usually is. The same is true of the other local cafe owned by the same people, where we have had problems with the quality of the food the last few times.

Seems to be a lively and popular place, frequented by people in their 20s to 30s. There are four small tables outside at the entrance, forming a cosy seating area, as well as plenty more inside, including a standing bar on the left. Overall, it's a nice mix of ambiences. There are two menus: one is available until 16:00, and the other is available until 22:00. The selection is quite broad, offering a mix of French and local dishes. I also noticed many dishes from northern Spain. We only tried a appetiser, which was good, although it could have had a bit more jelly. The beer selection, however, is excellent. That said, I was somewhat unsatisfied with the overall experience (bear in mind that the area where we were sitting was only 50% occupied)... When we arrived, we waited around 15 minutes for someone to take our order and weren't sure whether we should go inside to order. Eventually, one of us went in and asked a waiter, who told us that orders were taken at the table and said someone would come. After another 10 minutes and a few more glances inside, we finally caught the attention of another waiter, who sent a waitress to take our order. She came by two or three times after that to check if the dishes were ready to be picked up. The table behind us wasn't cleaned. The dirty dishes were there when we arrived, we do not know how long they'd been there. They weren't cleared away until the waitress came to take our order, so they were there for at least 25 minutes. Since it was right at the entrance, it didn’t make for a very inviting first impression. We'll give it another chance as the food options seem interesting, and since it is located outside tourist areas and close to our place, it could become our regular beer spot. Hopefully, the slow service was just a one-time thing.

Quaint Belgian cafe a stone’s throw from Vondelpark

€4.00 for a lukewarm cappuccino, or rather, a few sips of it while sitting on a wobbly chair on an uninviting, dark terrace... There are plenty of places in the area where you can get a good cup of coffee for a reasonable price. I choose to avoid these kinds of "pretentious" places. The prices don't leave room for tips for the staff, who are friendly and well-deserved.

The smoking ban is not observed in this restaurant. Smokers who like to spoil the taste buds of other customers are certainly welcome. Anyone who makes a comment about it will be kindly shown the door. Unseen

Nice restaurant with an atmospheric industrial look. The food was good and the menu offers something for everyone. The staff is friendly and attentive. However, the acoustics are on the moderate side and the tables are quite close together, so you can easily hear conversations from other guests. Nevertheless, a nice experience.

I loved the vibe of this place and the menu looks promising and diverse, but man tonight's dinner was a source of disappointment and frustration 😕 We were served by two waiters, the restaurant was pretty quiet Despite this it took about a half hour to hear back from the waiter that they didn't have the starter we'd ordered; by that time we were hungry so we just went and ordered entrees. The waiter did bring slices of bread with salt - it was unclear if this was standard or a token of apology from the kitchen. The "Café schotel" risotto was tasty, though the side salad consisted of only warm(??), slightly wilted iceberg lettuce with a few walnuts & cucumber slices. No dressing or flavoring of any kind. I would've ignored it entirely had the risotto plate not been so small 🫥 The waiter collected our plates and quickly left, so we waited until the waitress came by to ask for dessert. Another 30min later nothing had arrived, so we paid and left. I won't go into detail about the aftermath, but let's say my dinner and I parted ways alarmingly soon after, so overall I'm not keen to return here 😅

Unfortunately, the service is not good at all. We waited 25 minutes, call them several times and no answer. I was there before and is a shame the service went down so much.

Spectacular discovery outside the tourist areas, I especially recommend the "Eggs Royale" with salmon. Atmosphere and decor with a lot of Amsterdam vibes. We will return!! 🔝🔝🔝

I was here on a Wednesday during spring break, so it was quiet. Food was just good, I can't say much about the speed of service.

Bat was almost empty but we wait 3 dishes for more than 1 h (and I m talking about eggs and salad). Not sure what happened but service was so slow. Food was like you make an egg at home , very amateur. They put on the piece of bread from supermarket just ham and on top egg, I never seen this before in any of restaurants. Please improve your menu and serving. I was a quiet disappointed .

Today we wanted to have lunch here. Satisfied so far. However, after we had placed our order, we kept waiting and waiting, after about 45 minutes we started making inquiries. The waiter apologized that they did not remember our order, we could order again but it would take another hour. To make up for it, he offered a drink. Well we accepted that, but when after fifteen minutes we still had nothing, we left. Very bad service. We won't be coming here again for a while.

Geweldige lokatie, fijne sfeer, aardige bediening. Rib-eye (specialiteit van de dag) medium rare was ronduit doorbakken. Taaie hap. De herkansing was opnieuw doorbakken. Enorm teleurstellend!

The restaurant has a raw, very urban flair, as it is located in a former workshop. The seating is very comfortable and it's a great place to spend an evening with friends. The dishes are varied and there is something for everyone. The food tasted very good and the waiters were friendly and very committed.

If I could give a negative stars review for food and service I would. Never have I been with a group of people at a restaurant where every single person was actually disgusted by the food. The service was absolutely terrible. Shockingly terrible. I dislike leaving bad reviews (as I would rather say nothing) but this was our first night out in Amsterdam and hopefully it was just a bad representation of the dining experiences in this city and not the norm. I can’t believe any chef on this planet would send food of such low quality and preparation out to a table. Shame on this restaurant.

We ordered for 3 Hamburgers and they forgot it. How is it possible to forget the only food order of the table? The sad thing they became aware when we asked for our food. Waiters are sleep walker. Terrible service

Cozy industrial cafe. Service is a bit slow and I wanted to put the starter and main course on the table all at the same time. After speaking, this was changed.

Top tent, very nice informal atmosphere with a very nice bar and kitchen. Staff was very polite. Food was tasty. The music in particular was very good, can I have the playlist?

I have been a fan of this establishment from the start. Until yesterday. We left without eating, after waiting 40 minutes for our order and trying our best for another 20 minutes to order something. If you accept that your business is chock full with large groups, then you should be prepared for it. with staff and food supplies, it was a big mess. This was the last time we came here.

The food has deteriorated sharply. This is the second time the food is just plain bad. Even the simplest dishes are not prepared properly.

One of my favorite places for a chill beer with friends. Great atmosphere. I haven't tried the food yet, but it looks good.

Nos dieron una recomendación mientras compraba en una tienda de deportes cercana para visitar este lugar para la cena y bebidas en nuestro camino a casa. Y estábamos en un para un regalo. ¡El lugar es como un gran cobertizo! Solo que teníamos la dirección y la buscábamos habríamos pasado por ella. Entramos, elegimos una mesa y nos dieron menús y ella también tomó un pedido de bebidas. Creo que entre un gran grupo entrando y las plantillas y los carretes nuestro pedido se perdió y tuvimos que preguntar por ello. Finalmente salió con disculpas. Tuvimos bola amarga para empezar luego tomé una quiche con calabaza, champiñón y queso holandés maduro servido con una ensalada verde. Él mismo tenía la hamburguesa de ternera con patatas fritas. La comida era muy muy sabrosa.   El lugar vale la pena la visita, el ambiente era bastante funky sin embargo, la escasez de personal y el retraso lo ha decepcionado. Todo en con bebidas de vodka, mezclador y cerveza sin alcohol llegó a 91 €.  

Very pleasant restaurant café, in a large hangar with posters on the walls about Mechelen and Belgium. Since we are Belgians, we immediately felt at home. Last year we also had dinner with a view of the canal on the terrace outside. Nice varied food offering with jazz music in the background.

We just stopped for quick snacks and drinks. It is a big place just right on the road overlooking the canal, with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and our snacks were good.

I asked your colleague for a normal vase and then the bill. And then I got a heavier beer that I paid for. I realize it was my own fault but manager David. What's this? I used to work here and your staff isn't even good. It's a shame, I'm drinking the beer with great reluctance, but this is really not fun.

One of my favourite pubs in the neighbourhood. Venue is spacious and cozy. The service is always excellent, thanks to a friendly, competent staff. The borrel snacks are excellent. The dinner dishes are sometimes good, sometimes great, depending on the dish and in the day. Still, great place overall for a drink, borrel and casual dinner.

Had a great lunch. It did smell, like something had been badly burned, but you get used to that. Food was fine, service was okay. Not special. Just good.

What a lovely pub in a nice neighborhood! Had a great evening here. chill vibe and spacious space. Staff were all smiling and friendly. They were super efficient too. We didn’t wait long for our foods and drinks. Also I finished my foods quickly because they were tasty!

Fantastic discovery! Not Flemish cuisine as the name suggests. Very diverse and tasty menu. All 4 took something different and all 4 were equally satisfied!

In my opinion, a 'real' neighborhood café with all the trimmings: a wide range of beers, a solid menu surrounded by 'snacks of the day' and staff who are looking forward to it: you see that and you taste it!

To compress. I really enjoyed coming here (at least 4 times a year) but after my last visit I won't be back. I always eat the veal ribeye here. The last time it was way too red. So not eating at the same time as my wife can happen. I wanted medium and I got the ribeye back fully cooked. No new herb butter on it, no new arugula on it. As if I had insulted the chef. I reported this to the staff who only found it 'annoying'. No leniency, no cup of coffee on the house, nothing. Missed opportunity. Lost regular customer.

Great location, cool interior and great service. The day menu is typical eetcafe at a glance but the food is a cut above. Nice beer selection to complement the food and vibe.

Good food. The poached eggs are excellent. Attention could still be paid to the presentation of the dishes. The shrimp croquettes with toast could also be better. The layout is very plain and the toast too hard. Fries are delicious with plenty of mayonnaise!

Home cafe in winter, nice place

We ordered croquette. They tasted great and the fríes were also home-made and were crispy and tasty. Service was kind and fast. Location was good.

Just popped in here for a drink whilst my out on a walk with my wife. Was a lovely place, the lasy that served us was really nice and it was a great place for a drink whilst we were out explotthe city. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. Absolutely loved the aesthetic of the place, and a great choice of beers.

Un excellent établissement pour des repas ou un verre en famille ou entre amis. Le lieu est chaleureux et atypique (c'est un ancien garage dont l'aspect "industriel" a été préservé, ce qui lui donne du cachet, avec la cuisine clairement visible en son centre). Large sélection de plats, pour déjeuner ou diner, avec une cuisine fait maison. Grande sélection de bières locales et vrai bon "borrel" typiquement hollandais, avec ses bitterballen & co. Nous y venons depuis des années, la qualité est toujours restée au top, le personnel est très chaleureux et le service vraiment efficace et rapide. La large amplitude horaire en fait une adresse de choix, même pour un verre tard le soir.
