Starbucks in Helmersbuurt

The store was clean except for the WC. And staff was kind. Vegetarian wrap was delicious.

The service isn't very good; they don't open at the stated time. The people who serve you act as if they're forced to work, not even saying good morning. They have the menu of any typical Starbucks in Europe, and the place isn't special at all... but it's still Starbucks!

There is not any usable toilets !

Honestly a great Starbucks. I was traveling through Amsterdam and stopped here for a quick breakfast and coffee shortly after opening. The morning staff were great and helpful, very nice people. I ended up buying a mug there as a souvenir, which I then carried with me to visit a few museums. The Rijksmuseum ended up breaking said mug at the coat check and the lady who broke it was extremely defensive and rude to me. Just before they closed for the day, I came back to the Starbucks to get a replacement and Blue helped me by wrapping it up in paper and just listening to me complain about the day I’ve had. We just talked about life and travel for a few minutes before they had to close. Blue and the PM supervisor were both sweet and Blue took the time to make a special drink.

Good afternoon, I hesitated between chai latte and matcha latte, and chose the first option, but when I tried it, I didn't like that it was a little spicy, I asked the barista or cashier to change the drink for me to regular coffee, but they told me to pay. Although I read Starbucks' policy and if the customer didn't like the drink, I can get any other drink.

Nasty coffee. You really shouldn't come here for coffee! Sewage water 🤮

Classic Sturbucks point, nothing special to report. After a week of pseudo cappuccinos a starbucks cappuccino is a panacea. Friendly staff, the only flaw was they left the door open and there was a draft with the door leading to the garden.

Nice staff, delicious Creme Brulee drink and cookie to start the day.

We had breakfast here last week a couple of times , we had breakfast bagels and muffins which were delicious, the service was excellent , will definitely come back here when we come back to Amsterdam 😀

I often come here to study and then get a nice drink or snack. Friendly staff, crowds are usually not too bad and a nice spacious layout. The price is good compared to other places, at €5.45 for a sandwich and €3.45 for a cake

We had breakfast here for a week straight because of a business trip, because only here can I find the real American coffee I want. Compared with other Starbucks, there are always seats here, but there is no meal paper provided, and the toilet does not provide toilet paper. In addition, the table is always not cleaned in time, so I give four stars.

A great place to get things done over a coffee and a bite. It's just a shame that its internet speed is no more than 4mb.

We had breakfast here for three mornings at the end of August 2023. Excellent confectionery products, fresh in the morning and a good choice of obviously Starbucks branded juices of which we really appreciated the Exotic variant. The chocolate cake I ate the first time was a bit cloying, but I liked it anyway. The opening hours are excellent, preceding those of all the other bars. This pushed us to return as well as the goodness of the products. The price is in line with those in Amsterdam.

Had to wait an hour for 2 products...

I'll give it one star only because the shift manager took time to listen to our complaint. Because the lady behind the counter was by far the rudest person I've come across. We even started with hello, and she didn't reply and looked annoyed we were there. I gave her my order and she didn't say anything at all, while she was looking down on us. At the end when I told her I'd like the grande size, she shrug her shoulders as it didn't matter. Same for my friends' order right after. And at the end she asked our name, but so soft and barely through her teeth but got annoyed when we didn't understand her. I thought maybe I was too hard on her, but seeing other people writing reviews about the same issue, made me publish this one. And no, Starbucks, I don't need a voucher for the bad experience, I need your personnel to do better next time. If there will be a next time.

Worst service and experience ever! We never really visit starbucks cause we're not a huge coffee fan. The first time we went to this location, about a month ago, was awful! The lady at the desk named VALENTINA didn't know what a warm welcome was. While we ordered our drink she was like: 'Yeh.... you done?' We had a really bad vibe around her. Also we waited 15 (!!) Minutes on our drink while there we only 2 customers ahead of us. Yesterday we went another time. We said to each other let's try it one more time at this place. Now there was another lady at the cash desk named ANDREA. I'm sorry, but this lady didn't greet us, looked down on us, didn't talk and didn't even said the total amount that we had to pay. She asked which name they had to put on the cup, but I didn't hear it so I asked her, excuse me what did you say? And Andrea yelled: YOUR NAME!!?. I said this is the last time we ever come here!!!!!!!!! Please avoid this starbucks location.

Went there by the brand name, but the staff at counter was rude and arrogant. Told them that we are gonna have pur drinks here at the cafe even though they put our drinks in takeaway cups. The muffin we ordered was stale as well. No proper cleanliness!

An employee told me that this was not permitted. While I respect store guidelines, it was not just the message but the manner in which it was conveyed that affected my experience. The employee's dismissive facial expression left me feeling uncomfortable. Further adding to my confusion was observing the store manager consuming their own food in the store. This created a sense of inconsistency regarding the rules about outside food and their enforcement. Effective communication goes beyond words. The tone, body language, and overall consistency play a significant role, especially in customer service environments. I share this feedback as an opportunity for reflection and potential improvement, not as a criticism. I genuinely value Starbucks and its commitment to providing a consistent and welcoming experience. I look forward to continued positive visits in the future.

Bartenders were very polite with non-native English speakers. They have plugs to charge your devices and Capuccino tastes good

Good cafe with friendly staff, but it gets too noisy for those who need focus to get things done. And in winter when the door is closed it becomes suffocating and smelly!

Het eten lijkt erg op wat je bij een low-budget vliegtuigmaatschappij krijgt. De drankjes zijn erg duur en het geld niet waard. De chai latte was waterig. Als je al boos was, helpt het niet om hier een beter humeur te krijgen.

This store had the ‘been there’ mugs which other locations did not. The reason for 4 stars is because they changed their hours and was not reflected on the Starbucks, google or Apple Maps info. So we arrived just after closing and had to come back again.

Super cold with 9 degrees outside and the door open! I asked an employee if I can close the door, but there is an ‘open door policy’ and we couldn’t close it! Besides that, a typical Starbucks 😊

Just like any other Starbucks, a little more dirty if you ask me because of lots of tourists who just won't clean up after themselves. The personell we met was actually really nice but WHY do they close at 4 PM?????????

Second time Starbucks disappointed us.. The "signature" Hot chocolate was so meh! No flavr Of chocolate.. Just some lightly flavoured milk! And another time a very tasteless latte!

Première fois que je vois un Starbucks qui ne note pas de nom sur les boissons. Du coup on s'est retrouvé avec quelqu'un qui avait pris une de nos boissons et il a fallu refaire la queue pour réclamer cette boisson. Et du coup il y avait une erreur (lait de vache au lieu de lait végétal) parce que forcément la serveuse avait oublié ce qu'on avait pris et n'a pas pris la peine de redemander.

Cappuccino al caramello , torta al limone e strawberry donut , tutto molto molto buono, ovviamente il prezzo delle cose è sicuramente altino rispetto a luoghi senza brand , ma starbucks è starbucks quindi ci sta 🙂
