We ordered two traditional Dutch dishes - goulash and mince with mash. The goulash would be delicious! It looks like ground sausage, which is quite strange to me 😉 The puree is very good, I'm not a fan, but I liked it. Very nice service and a great atmosphere in the pub!

Absolutely superb! Very tasty traditional Dutch food and so gezellig, 2 evenings in a row it was that good! At the finish the friendly owner brought a shot of anise liquor.

We were an italian group of 7 friends on a trip in Amsterdam and we wanted to taste something typical, we had a good traditional dinner. Also they have been really welcoming and kind: two of us made birthday and they surprised us when they brought the ice cream desserts we ordered with the candles and the sparkles and the birthday music in background. They gave us a joyful moment!

Super tent, personeel is altijd vriendelijk en attent. Goed eten en voelt nog als vanouds. Wij eten hier vaak voor een concert of evenement en kom hier nu al meer dan 15 jaar en het is nog nooit tegengevallen.

Great little place to eat with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was very tasty with good sized portions and reasonably priced . The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our first night there so much, we went back for our last evening too.

The food is homemade, very tasty and the place is very nice with soft music and space to go with a baby chair. The waiters (we had a shift change) were also very pleasant and attentive to our 2-year-old son. 2 starters, 2 seconds, bread, 3 beers and 2 coffees = €74.

Cozy, but food very mediocre. The onion soup bowl was only half full and the goat cheese salad contained untoasted bread. And tip: don't put corn in goat cheese salad. A shame, because it's quite a nice place.

Excellent table for dutch cuisine. I reccomend their draught beer selection, you can spend a nice evening trying to find which one's the best of their beers!

This place was great. The food was good and the beer was too. We were able to get in and seated right away so that was a plus. The staff was friendly and stayed on top of things. We would recommend the potatoes as they were made a very unique way. If you have the time it’s worth a visit. Ice cold 🍺 and Dutch food is the way to go when you in town on the visit.

The owner is really kind. I highly recommend it if you are curious about traditional Dutch cuisine. I had a dish (stampot) with beef stew on top of mashed potatoes and it was very delicious, and I think it would have been delicious with anything on it, like sausages or meatballs. Draft beer and wine were also good. For your information, the portions in the Netherlands are generous. Four people went, not very hungry, and ordered 1 steak and 1 stamppot, and they came with fries as side dishes, so the portions were just right. If you are hungry, 3 plates for 4 people would be good.

The quality-price ratio is good, but the meat seems pre-cooked and has a slightly artificial taste. It is certainly not a place I would return for the quality. I would prefer to return, for this type of food, to the Moeders restaurant where the quality is much better.

I ended up at Stoop & Stoop by chance. Good reviews which certainly came true during our visit. Casual, friendly and delicious food! Great atmosphere and within no time the entire place was filled with customers. Great music - worth repeating and definitely recommended.

What a find! We stumbled across this little restaurant whilst walking around and what a little gem. The food was Dutch and was amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We got talking to the staff and were there for ages, but it was such a lovely atmosphere and everyone was made to feel welcome. Definitely give this restaurant a try if you in Amsterdam, you won’t regret it!

Very good traditional Dutch cuisine in a popular and authentic setting, bringing together both locals and tourists. Everything was very good, from bitterballen to fish and chips to burgers and beers. It was exactly what we were looking for. But it's a shame that the managers spoke to us a little rudely and were a little cold when we had to change our little one's diaper in the toilet: their instructions weren't very clear and it's not very professional to speak like that to customers, when everything was going well until then... After this episode, they finally became welcoming again, but it spoiled our experience a little. Without that, we would probably have given it 5 stars, because the food is good and the atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and authentic.

You can eat traditional Dutch food. They will also recommend beers that go well with the food. I just showed up without a reservation, but they were very polite and helpful. The staff are also very friendly. The Japanese menu is also available online, so you can have peace of mind.

What a perfect place for trying Dutch food. Everything was delicious! Every dish that came out was delicious we, a family of five all tried and loved everything. Even my 10-year-old loved everything she tried. Atmosphere was so fun, comfortable and totally recommend.

The restaurant has a great ambience and is very comfortably furnished. The food was excellent and prepared quickly. The innkeepers were friendly and tried very hard to give us a seat despite the restaurant being full and without a reservation. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Amsterdam!

Had dinner with my family and sister-in-law on Boxing Day. It was fantastic! We arrived an hour early, but were able to join us after a short wait. We had a delicious meal and drinks, the service is very friendly and... it's just very nice to sit! We will definitely come back here again. The lady and gentleman who received us were very friendly and made a great contribution to our wonderful Boxing Day.

Armand is a great host. He welcomes you politely and accommodates your palate needs. It offers excellent typical Amsterdam food, but also takes "excursions" into Italian cuisine (I recommend the ravioli). Enjoy the digestives he offers at the end of the meal.
