Great place to go for (a piece of) authentic Dutch food! The variety goes from hutspot to burgers, so there’s something to fulfill everyone’s needs. As a Dutchie, I’d recommend!

A warm welcome, pleasant service, and a glass of delicious wine. The sauerkraut mash was rather inauthentic. Lots of mashed potatoes with gravy (from cans?) and mediocre sausage. It was pleasantly busy, but some of the guests were very noisy.

We had a Lovely traditional Dutch dish, fantastic service and atmosphere. Mum, Dad and son all front of house service with a passion. Highly Recommend.

Was at first apprehensive as this seemed like a touristy spot, but was pleasantly surprised, it’s actually a family establishment! Food was delicious like a warm hug, especially after the cold and rain. Service was very friendly and efficient. They went the extra mile to make you happy, also, the Irish coffee was a great finish to our delicious meal!

This is a great little spot for casual dinner / drinks nestled in amongst a cluster of many dining options n the area . It’s a charming walk along canals ,and easily reached by Metro. The service is friendly and prompt You can sit inside in cosy quaint interior or people watch from the outside tables. The is casual 80s vibe . The food comes n generous portions and the meat stew was tender and delicious . We also had a mixed entree platter of Dutch specialties and the apple tart - all came out in good time and delicious . The prices are quite reasonable - definitely worth a visit !

Had a great experience! Great atmosphere and great food. The service was great. The people were so nice and it felt like a mix of locals and visitors. What was even more amazing is we walked out after we were done and my wife left her purse only for the server, a delightful woman, chased us a block away to get it back to us! Honestly great people and great food. Perfect end to our great stay in Amsterdam!

Lovely restaurant with tasty food (the shrimp were excellent), sweet atmosphere, and serviceminded, fun and helpful staff. We recommend the stroopwaffle liqueur, and poffertjes.

Amazing burgers and a variety of other dishes. Everything is served in such a pleasant manner that my friends from Germany were delighted to. Recommended it to everyone.

We did not have the chance to eat here but our cocktail experience was wonderful, The authentic and friendly atmosphere brought us back the next day to enjoy another selection of cocktails, we were a family grouo of 5. Very friendly, welcoming place in the heart of Amsterdam. Small quaint place locals eat at so you know it’s awesome! Everything we had was very delicious! Could not have picked a better place for our first night in the city!

It was too busy so we didn’t get a chance to eat, but Armand and his family made us feel so welcome. A true Dutch style bar with an intimate vibe and great personnel. Plus one of the best espresso martinis I have had!!!

Very Taste Food and super friendly Service

Get the beef stew stampot and an apple pie for dessert and you won't be disappointed. The workers here are so nice and friendly, I enjoyed the experience here and highly recommend you visit.

Food very tasty and fresh. My partner had mash potatoes with sauerkraut and sausage and I had mash potatoes with bacon and a meatball. We also had Bitterballen to share. Bitterballen were probably the best out of everything, we both loved them. All meals were very tasty though. Very good atmosphere inside and super attentive and pleasant service. Beer a bit pricey but other than that I liked everything about this place. I definitely recommend.

We ate here twice during our stay in Amsterdam. The first time outside when it was raining, but the heat lamps made it very cosy. The fish and chips were excellent and we had the Stroopwafelsliquer as dessert. Absolutely delicious. The second time we sat inside and had the Holandse steak with pepper sauce, fries and a mixed salad. The steak was perfectly prepared according to our taste and delicious. The restaurant is both cosy and inviting and the owner is delightful. Nothing is too much trouble for him. Our Canadian friends travelling with us were just as pleased. We hope to return.

All good, I recommend it for a typical Dutch dinner. The meat is good.

We tried the Stampods for the first time—my wife went with the beef, and I had the Meat Bull. Both were surprisingly delicious! Great flavors and a fun experience overall.

Typical Dutch fare - smoked fish, green pea soup, mashed potatoes with beef stew or sausage but plenty of other fish, steak, salad choices too. Friendly atmosphere, good service, nice local experience.

Came here many years ago and always wanted to come back. I am pleased to say it was an amazing as I remembered. Busy even on a Tuesday evening, full of happy fulfilled diners eating quality traditional Dutch food. My wife’s entrecôte was cooked perfectly and my satay way as good as I remember. I will be here again on my next visit!

Was looking for a place to eat on a rainy day. Got to try the traditional Amsterdam food. The onion cheese bread soup was light and comforting. The onion soup didn’t taste too strong which was good and the meatball mash dish with gravy was good too. I also got apple pie dessert which came with whipped cream, chocolate butterfly and cinnamon ice-cream. The apple pie went really well with the whipped cream so wish there was a bit more of that. Paired well with a rooibus / cinnamon tea. Best to eat outside under a cosy lamp

I searched online for somewhere to have an authentic Danish meal and this restaurant came up as a recommendation. It didn’t disappoint! The service was welcoming and friendly and I really enjoyed the pea soup starter followed by stamppot with meatball and bacon. I was also thankful for the complimentary caramel shot after my meal. Delicious! Thank you for a lovely meal and experience!
