Strandpaviljoen 't oude strandhuys Workum in Wijk 02 Nijefurd

We go here very often. The service is always very friendly and attentive. You always feel welcome. There's something for everyone on the menu. The price-performance ratio is good. Reservations are recommended during the holiday season. We always enjoy coming here.

A good snack bar at the Marina Park Beach Resort Soul. The fries, frikandel, and kibbeling were good and reasonably priced. The service was really excellent; the team did a great job! There's also a restaurant right next door, which was quite busy and looked inviting.

The ambiance is nice, but that was unfortunately the only positive thing. The two of us paid a total of €45.80. The vegetarian burger for €19.50 was extremely dry and disappointing: the bread was cold, unbaked, and dry, and the patty was completely tasteless and unseasoned. Basically, you couldn't taste anything except the lettuce and tomato; there was no cheese or sauce. The fries and mayo tasted okay, but the fries were completely unsalted. In addition, the drinks were unusually small at 200 ml. The service was also disappointing, with quite long wait times, and you had to actively approach the staff yourself. For this quality, the price-performance ratio is absolutely unjustified. Not recommended.

Disappointing – Lots of Potential, but Poor Service Unfortunately, our visit to Strandpaviljoen 't Oude Strandhuys in Workum was quite disappointing. Although it was practically empty when we were there, we had to wait 50-60 minutes for our food. Given the low occupancy, this is completely unacceptable in my opinion. The cleanliness also left a poor impression. Several tables hadn't been cleared, even though there seemed to be enough staff and time available. The state of the restroom was particularly unpleasant and unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber. The interior is truly beautiful and modern, initially making a very good impression. It's all the more disappointing, then, that the service, cleanliness, and organization fall far short of this standard. For the location and the attractive design, I expected significantly more. Overall, the rest is unfortunately rather mediocre. It's a shame, because this beach pavilion has so much potential. Furthermore, we wanted a table. We were told we would have to wait 30 minutes for one. We waited, and the tables that were reserved were never filled that evening – antisocial!

Superbly located on the canal at the corner of the IJsselmeer. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The restaurant's interior is beautifully decorated. I would definitely come back here! 👍

Similar to a PAL, if you're familiar with the Dutch islands. Super friendly and fast service. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and plentiful. Dogs are welcome too. A great, casual recommendation.

A cozy restaurant with a beach house atmosphere. A lovely outdoor seating area. Good selection of dishes. The staff is very, very friendly; you immediately feel welcome.

The ambiance was appealing, and while the service was friendly, it was unfortunately extremely inattentive – despite a fairly large number of employees for the manageable number of customers. We would have liked to sit outside, but hadn't made a reservation, so we were only offered a table inside the warm, but nicely decorated, interior. There, we had to wait about 15 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted drinks. We then had to ask for the menu ourselves at the bar. That also took another 15 minutes or so before it was brought to our table. At least we were finally able to move outside after explicitly asking again. But even there, the wait dragged on: We sat for another 20 minutes with empty glasses and the menu on the table. Although the staff had obviously noticed this, it took a long time before a waitress finally took our order – just before we were about to leave. In comparison, the food was served relatively quickly and tasted good. Unfortunately, both the fries and the fish were only lukewarm, as was the beer. Understandably, we skipped dessert.

We were in Workum over the Easter holidays and ate here twice – once for lunch and once for dinner. The service was always incredibly friendly, even though it was really busy, especially in the evenings. We had reserved a table for dinner. The food was delicious. Dogs were allowed inside.

First off: we absolutely love Workum and the Marina Parken holiday park – however, this was our first time at the beach pavilion for dinner. Based on the good reviews, we were looking forward to a good meal. However: - Bread selection as a starter: The bread wasn't sliced, but served in clumps like leftovers from the day before. No separate plates, the herb butter was unseasoned and not spreadable... - Plaice as a main course: Not cooked through properly, more like steamed and soggy, and one plaice wasn't properly gutted. The innards were still inside. The accompanying "fried potatoes" were only briefly steamed and unseasoned. - The service was very inattentive; no one checked on us, and no additional drinks were offered. Since we received no further attention or service, we couldn't order a coffee or a glass of wine to finish. Since we received no further attention or service, we were unable to order either a coffee or a glass of wine afterward. ... We therefore left the table, paid – and will certainly not be visiting the beach pavilion again on our next stay in Workum. We do NOT recommend it (unless you want to throw away a lot of money for nothing).

One small drawback: The attentiveness of the service staff could be a bit better, especially when the glasses are empty. There was almost no one there, had to wait a long time before we could order, almost everything looked great on the ham cheese toastie and farmer's bread brie toastie not recommended as good as the rest looked so bad were the toasties, we were only asked once if we wanted a drink while it was just not busy ... recommended certainly what you get is great and affordable now that the staff still give good instructions could be faster and better !! Otherwise a big 9

Avoid the chicken burger, which is made at the snack bar next door. Tasteless, very hard breading. The pork satay was very tasty.

Nice atmosphere both inside and outside, with a view of a small jetty and sheep in the background 🤌 Bitterballen taste different everywhere and vary in quality, but here they were very good. Strawberry daiquiri was also on point 👍

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub des öfteren da essen. Waren immer zufrieden mit der Qualität und besonders mit dem Service. Immer aufmerksam und nett. Was uns gefiel war das auch Senioren-Teller angeboten wurden. Für den nicht zu großen Hunger.

After 37 years, we ate here again. It was just like the old days. The location may have changed (for the better!), but we recognized a lot of things. Back then, the owner served us personally; now it's his daughter. It was just like back then. Just as delicious and just as family-friendly. We really enjoyed it. It's still a family-run business right on the beach. Wonderful!!!

Unfortunately, we didn't eat anything because the kitchen wasn't open yet. But the service was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere is inviting and very cozy, with a beach bar feel. There are plenty of seats and it's easily accessible, even with a stroller or walker. The food and drink menu is very good (also in German). We would love to come back. We were also allowed to drive onto the premises to pick up people with walking difficulties directly at the restaurant door.

Nice restaurant on the water at the IJsselmeer. It is on a campsite. You have to go through a gate. You can always get out again. Quiet location and child-friendly. Play corner.

Sind seit zwei Jahren auf dem Platz zum Urlaub machen. Immer sehr zufrieden. Essen super und bis jetzt auch mit dem Team super zufrieden. Heute am Sonntag den 27.4 war das Team echt nicht super. Nicht aufmerksam. Als die Rechnung kam waren da Getränke drauf die bestellt waren aber nicht gekommen sind. Sehr schade. Das Team war echt nur mit sich selber beschäftigt.

The bacon burger was served very attractively, but unfortunately the bun was not toasted and cold, the patty still had a slightly pink core, but was much too firm and dry. The burger topping was boring and tasteless… I would have expected more for the price. It's a shame ☹️

Friday evening: Food was quite good price/performance, service was a bit slow Saturday afternoon: 3 waitresses and little activity, 1 bottle of beer, 1 small water and 1 Prosecco ordered. Took 15-20 minutes when asked. Water was wrong, namely a large bottle of 0.75 was brought. The young lady then wanted to take the 2 glasses and bottle back with her,😭😭I said, you can leave the glasses behind or we can get smaller glasses. 5 minutes later we also had our little water. Then the bill: €7.50 for a 0.75 cl of water that we didn't have. However, there is still a lot to be improved in terms of operation!!!

We were on vacation at the campsite. Have eaten there several times. It was good every time. Price and performance match very well. The service is very attentive. The only small downside is that the place is very loud when it's full. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop by again.

Oh come on, while we're on the pitch, let's try that. AND IT WAS FINE LIKE THAT! The food was great and the service was incredible. Our kids wanted to start a challenge and each eat a packet of mayo, and getting it wasn't a problem ;) mind you, clearly after eating. The actual food was great! Fast service, drinks ran smoothly and I can only report positive things. Since the campsite was also great, we'll all see each other again next year 👍

Food was OK, upscale french fries stand level. The restaurant has a lot of tables, but unfortunately it was very full at the time of our visit. Therefore incredibly loud, the service was very busy, but still very nice.

Nette Bedienung, nicht zu voll und das Essen war sehr lecker.

Op zich prima ok te zitten, maar zodra het beetje druk wordt tussen 17:00-18:00 kunnen ze het niet bijhouden qua bestellingen en gaat het mis. Ijsje maar elders gehaald. Eten ook niet bijzonder voor de prijs.

Einfach schön dort. Die Bedienung denkt auch bei Lactose Intoleranz mit und gibt Empfehlungen oder bietet Alternativen an. Immer wieder gerne

Guter, schneller und sehr freundlicher Service. Super lecker und sehr reichlich gegessen. Nicht alles geschafft. Preis- Leistung ist ja immer Ansichtssache, aber 2 Gerichte und 4 Getränke für 47 Euro sind doch echt okay. Wir werden wiederkommen. PS: vorherige Reservierung ist erforderlich.
