Stuyvesant in Haarlemmerbuurt

Low Quality Food for an expensive price. 13-05-2025. We went here for dinner and I already had the feeling based on the arrogance of the waiters and what I saw on the plates we would pay a lot for small portions of food and that the quality wouldn't live up to the price. I had a ravioli(4-5 pieces)(€ 25) and my friend had a steak with fries (€ 29). The ravioli was not tasty. I mean if I'm paying € 25..... The steak lacked taste and was chewy. One of the worst restaurants ever. These places can only exist because natives do not know what good taste is or quality food is. Btw I'm living in The Netherlands for almost 27 years.

LOVE this place! This house has a history which is well maintained and integrated into the beautiful interior design. To top all of this it boosts a nice selection of international cuisine which is delicious!

The food is average, the atmosphere is great. There aren't many tourists, but the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

A lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine. If you're looking for something else to drink, this isn't the place.

After a graduation party, leave your mobile phone in the toilet upstairs. When we turned off the music, we turned off our cell phone with the phone tracker app. Then it was in the bag of one of the staff members (of course it was quickly taken out/packed back.....) He and the rest were confronted with this but it was not taken seriously. He said he wanted to return it while the phone was in his bag and he was getting ready to go home (i.e. putting on a jacket, etc.). The worst part is that I asked the bar staff 3-4 times if a cell phone had been found. But this turned out not to be the case. It seemed that only 1 person was aware of the cell phone in his bag. Scandalous......

Ein cooler Ort mit stilvoller Einrichtung, lädt zum entspannen ein. Auch das Essen ist gut.

Nice bar! If you fancy red wine, I totally recommend Monte Velho! The service is a bit slow.

Prima autentieke plek in Amsterdam. Goeie wijnen om uit te kiezen...... Personeel vriendelijk, niet bijster allert!

I really like this historic building and the style of the restaurant. They have some patio tables outside and tables and bar seating inside. There is also a wine room with a few chairs and a larger tall table/chairs. The courtyard is for events. Good service - friendly and helpful. One waiter told us the history of the building and brought over the details. So cool to be in a building with this much history and a story. The food was good. The chicken was juicy and vegetables were tasty. The cheese board was huge with a nice selection of cheese. The pretzels were hot and buttery 👍. I would have loved some spicy mustard but the sauce that came with and mustard they had were both good.

Zelfs voor iemand die geen alcohol drinkt, is dit wijnlokaal een fantastische plek om te komen. De kwaliteit van het eten (ja, zelfs het ordinaire borrelplankje) is ontzettend goed, en de service is bij weinig plekken te evenaren. De bediening weet ontzettend veel en kan je oprecht goede aanbevelingen doen op basis van je smaak voorkeuren. Mijn alcoholvrije witte wijn was dan ook erg lekker. Dank voor deze ervaring!

Loved the location in West-Indian house, high ceilings, lots of space to sit inside and outside. Extensive open wine list, very reasonably priced. Snacks and small menu available too, good quality. Friendly and knowledgeable service. A gem in this street which sees more and more coffeeshops and fewer traditional boutique style shops which the street has been famous for.

Very nice historical place with wide choice of wines for a very reasonable price and very friendly service. In the morning is a lovely spot to have your coffee during your shopping spree at the Haarlemmerbuurt. Of course it is a lovely place to stop for a lunch too. If warm, it is a nice place to sit down on their street terrace. Watching the world pass by ;-)

nice wine selection, great personnel with a lot of knowledge

Excellent wine selection. Cheese platter with cheeses you won't find in the many cheese shops around and excellent service. Surprisingly inexpensive compared to other establishments in the area. Will visit again when Amsterdam.

For lunch the service is very slow, ordered something from the sandwiches with Salomon, only didn't get any bread only small peace of Salmon. Eating somewhere else because i am hungry.

This restaurant propose a wide wine map, degustations sets, and good choice of meats and seefood ( not plenty, but enought). It has an option to celebrate corporate parties there and very friendly stuff.Good prices also.Street where it' situated leads to Jordaan Square from the Center.
