The bottle from the table next to us was half empty, but they just took it and put it in the cooler when it was poured. I find this absolutely unacceptable. How do you know what happened to the wine, and the bottle is being sold twice? Absolutely awful!

I reserved a table online and we got it as soon as we arrived (with a baby chair! Fantastic!). The food came very quickly, so did the drinks. Our toddler was well entertained with all the small dishes that kept coming and she enjoyed them as well as we did! Overall a very good experience.

Food was good, but the experience was horrible. Constantly looked at and walked around to check if you have empty plates. Food is brought IMMEDIATELY, but not in 1x. So during the meal you constantly get new plates on the table. All you can eat has a lot of rules. Time-bound, but with 8 rounds and you have to wait 20 minutes between each round. Dessert is not included. Constantly asked if you want to drink more, order something extra. Felt very forced to come out with more. Won't be back.

Amazing place to eat, wide variety of sushi and grilled options. The price is acceptable. The only complaint is thay drinks are not included, but it's definitely worth it.

I love sumo, the price did increase but not so much, its around 41 euros for all you can eat and 46 for the premium version ! I go here almost every year its very nice, its a bit dark inside and the tables are quiet close to eachother but thats about it. The food comes fast and warm (or cold depends on what you got) and its perfect. The only downsides with food is that the drinks cost almost 4 euros, and there isnt much dessert options.

We went here 2 Times on our vacation. The fisch tastes fresh and the Sushi-Combinations faste wonderful. We were positively surprised from the Crunchy-Mayo-Sushi.

One of our favorite places to have sushi, we've gone to the (now closed) Amsterdam locations regularly in the last 5 years and we're very sad to see them all gone. Once in a blue moon we indulge in the Hague

Unfortunately, the food wasn't a good experience. A lot of it was pre-made or frozen. The beef carpaccio and prawns were watery and flavorless—we returned them. The desserts were equally tasteless. However, some of the sushi and warm meat dishes, as well as the sashimi, were okay.

It was very tasty, everything was freshly prepared, there were 8 rounds where you could order via tablet, and per round we could choose 5 dishes per person. The plates/dishes are only small, but with 5x8 orders per person you get full quickly - we made it to round 5. Using the toilet costs 1 euro. We had to wait a long time for our reserved table and 2 dishes never arrived at our table until we said something several times, which is why I'm deducting 1 star. Apart from that everything went smoothly and was tasty. You had to order drinks separately from the waiters, who were very friendly and there was always one nearby. What we also liked is that you have to pay a fine if you order too much with the all you can eat and then leave the food unattended, meaning it ends up being wasted/thrown away. We were told this straight away by a waiter at the start. We think it's right.

Very nice Japanese all you can eat restaurant. Friendly staff. The food is on your table super fast after ordering via the tablet. Of all the delicious food I recommend the zucchini the most! At busy times reservation is necessary.

Delicious food, clearly experienced with sushi We really enjoyed the food! The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented and prepared with great attention. You noticed in everything that the chefs really have experience - the flavors were balanced and the combinations were original and well thought out. The design of the restaurant itself was fine, but personally I thought there was still room for improvement. I wish it could have been a little more cozy or more atmospheric, to complete the overall experience. Nevertheless, definitely recommended for sushi lovers. We will definitely come back for the food!

Had a little something for lunch. The miso soup was tasty, but not quite hot. The sushi was freshly prepared, so there was a short wait, but the waiter immediately apologized for that. Very fresh and tasty. Savings were made on ginger; I would have liked to have had more of it than these three grams. Overall price/performance okay.

Delicious Japanese food. Of course we had the “all you can eat” offer, which did not only include sushi but also a wide selection of Japanese dishes like chicken teriyaki or (small) bowls. The staff was very polite but a bit formal.

For an AYCE Japanese restaurant, they know how to offer very varied and extremely freshly prepared dishes. That is also possible for the price. If you also want to use the premium dishes, it will cost €5 extra per person. For this you get a very large selection of good quality fish, especially salmon and tuna. The 5 dishes at a time and the 8 courses in two hours is more than sufficient.

Very nice place, delicious food, and good help in choosing what I would eat and drink. I wanted all you can eat, but they have 2 of them here. I chose the more expensive version because I wanted it to be a bit classier and more extensive. I was also able to try out something that was unknown to me and I also liked it and I carefully took a second one. I ate more than enough. What I also thought was a very good plus point is that we have to pay extra here if we don't eat something, to prevent food waste. More restaurants that offer all you can eat should do this. Then many people would think twice before ordering something and not eating it.

Frankly, service and freshness are there, but how expensive is their all-you-can-eat formula and what's more, there are premium ones which are even more expensive, so you only eat sushi that has already been revisited and nothing more. Everything is not very clear if you don't want the all-you-can-eat service it's the same, the price if you opt for some part it goes up very quickly. Otherwise they are not bad but not great either there are much better.

We didn't actually miss anything at lunch that is only available at dinner. Enough choice of sushi and meat and other dishes. What is particularly noteworthy is that my pregnant wife received an extra order card and was able to choose from sushi and well-cooked food that was suitable for her. Besonders beeindruckend ist das All-You-Can-Eat-Konzept, bei dem man aus einer Vielzahl von frisch zubereiteten Sushi, Sashimi, warmen Gerichten und vielem mehr wählen kann. Auch die warmen Speisen, wie Yakitori-Spieße und Gyoza, sind ein echtes Highlight. Egal ob Sushi-Liebhaber oder jemand, der warme japanische Gerichte bevorzugt – hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal Neben der exzellenten Küche ist auch das Personal hervorzuheben. Die Mitarbeiter im Sumo waren stets freundlich, aufmerksam und gut organisiert, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war. Last weekend my girlfriend and I celebrated our six month anniversary together with a delicious dinner. The various dishes were of high quality and tasted great. Upon arrival we had to switch gears because the allergen list on location differed from that on the website. After we had discussed this clearly, the chef personally went through all the dishes to indicate which ones my girlfriend could safely eat and which ones would be suitable with a small adjustment, such as without sauce or egg. The staff was super friendly, very helpful and very understanding of allergies. As an extra surprise, because of the long wait, we even received a nice Polaroid photo - normally for children's parties, but in this case a very nice souvenir for us. Definitely recommended to visit! Please note that the allergen list on the website does not always correspond to that on location, so be sure to ask for this if you have allergies.

Everything was just really cool

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is more of a suggestion for the manager to take note rather than a bad review. We came in on a Sunday evening when it was quite busy, and we didn’t have a reservation. Despite that, they immediately found us a table – 5 stars for the quick seating. The waiter was very polite and attentive, serving us perfectly throughout the evening – another 5 stars for service. We ordered two salmon rolls, a maki roll, and an unagi roll. The unagi roll arrived first, but we were unsure about what it was made of, as the ingredients weren’t obvious. The waiter couldn’t provide an explanation right away and said he would check with the kitchen. Even the chefs, who were preparing the rolls, seemed puzzled at first and had to think for a moment 😂. After a few minutes, they concluded that the mystery ingredient was… egg! 😂 When the salmon rolls arrived, unfortunately, they didn’t meet expectations. The rolls were falling apart at the slightest touch, and the taste wasn’t great either. In fact, we couldn’t finish them – the combination of struggling with sushi that kept falling apart and the underwhelming flavor made it too frustrating to continue. Overall, I’d say: Service: 5/5 Customer care: 5/5 Quality of sushi: 3/5 Suggestion: I understand it was a busy night, but attention to the quality of sushi is crucial, especially for dishes that should be simple yet well-prepared. With such excellent service and customer focus, improving the consistency and taste of the food would make this place exceptional.

Very expensive because you can only order 20 dishes for 4 people. Just under €29 The chicken meat smells like old meat and feeds on the duck meat. I would strongly advise against it!

The salmon sushis and sashimis are tasty, but the tuna doesn't really hit the spot. Some of the onigiris are good, but the more standard ones don't have anything special. It's passable overall.

This Asian restaurant offers delicious food with an all-you-can-eat concept, making it perfect for those who want to enjoy a variety of dishes. A great spot for a satisfying meal!

We opted for the "all you can eat" option, there are 10 dishes per round that can be ordered and we were satisfied with 2. The rolls are very well made, with fresh and tasty rice, many options to choose from and perfect sizes to try many different dishes. The atmosphere was super pleasant with a very nice and modern decoration, the service is through a tablet and although we selected the option to see the menu in English, it only had the titles of the dishes in English, not the description of the ingredients.

I had a very disappointing experience at Sumo on Palacestraat. I accidentally called the branch on Herengracht in advance to ask if I could sit with my friends without taking the all-you-can-eat menu. I was told this was not a problem. When we arrived at Palacestraat, it turned out that this policy does not apply there and that we had called the wrong branch. Instead of showing understanding, we were sent away by the staff in a very unfriendly and disrespectful manner. This experience completely ruined our evening, and I will not be coming back here again.

Wir kennen das Bestellkonzept (Tabletbestellung) bereits aus einem anderen Sushi & Grillrestaurant. Die Speisenvielfalt ist hier aber bedeutend besser, ebenso der Geschmack. Wir würden jedes Mal wiederkommen, wenn wir in Scheveningen sind. Kleiner Nachteil: die Getränke werden nicht über das Tablett bestellt. Das kann schonmal dauern. Aber ansonsten alles Top und sehr gerne wieder.

Best sushi restaurant in the Netherlands! After a lot of experience with all you can eat sushi places in the Rotterdam and The Hague region, my husband and I unanimously agree that this is the best place so far. The food is delicious and of good quality and largely halal! The service is friendly and very fast. The location is beautiful next to the Kurhaus and on the boulevard. We will definitely keep coming back here!

Overall pretty good. You get 8 rounds of 30 small portions to eat. There’s lots of different stuff like sushi, skewers, veggies, and drinks. Do be aware of the fact that whatever you leave back will be added to the final bill.

Never go there! You wait 40 minutes for your food. If you are lucky you will receive your order in full. If you are unlucky like me, you will never get your round delivered. If you properly report this to the manager, you will be told that it is busy. This is the only thing you hear after waiting 40 minutes for your food!!!! While the tables next to it are continuously served. NEVER GO THERE. I recommend you rather go to Miso where you are treated like a real customer.

We had the pleasure of visiting an exceptional all-you-can-eat restaurant. We were served five dishes and eight rounds per person, and since there were three of us, we ended up with an impressive 15 dishes per round. Although we unfortunately didn't make it to the lunch times, which I recommend to everyone (since you could stay here for under €30 and save a good €10), the food was worth the price. The ambience was inviting, the service good and the selection of food pleasant. We made it to round 8, which speaks for itself! Unfortunately, my companions often chose dishes that they didn't feel like eating, which meant that they and I became full quicker than expected. Nevertheless, it was a great experience that we will certainly remember fondly.
