The whole experience was absolutely great. Service was great. Only downside was the communication with the restaurant, i sent them a message regarding the possibility of adding more people to our table but they didn't answer. Then we got there and there was a completely empty table the whole time next to ours.

We ve just came out from it. Amazingly good for the fun and the food. Thanks to the team there.

De recensies verbazen mij. De gastheer was zeer onattent en geërgerd toen we extra wilden bestellen. Het werk voelt hem als een moetje en er kon geen lachje vanaf. Erg veel geld uitgegeven, maar we hadden dat liever gedaan bij een restaurant waar ze ons ook waarderen als gast. Misschien had de meneer zijn dag niet, maar het heeft onze ervaring helaas beïnvloed.

Have eaten at Sui Sha Ya a few times now. This time we chose the surprise menu. This worked out well. We were surprised with good quality meat, fish and shellfish. Enjoyed the show and the helpful staff again.

Really fantastic food but it is rushed through at a rapid pace, we thought that was a shame, little time to really enjoy the food and after the menu the dessert is immediately under your nose and you keep asking if you have already made a choice, while we still had more than half a second bottle of wine, we really thought that was a minus point

Today I celebrated my birthday there, I can only say that it was a great experience. Staff is super friendly. And the food is delicious, Super chef too. Enjoyed it Together with my family. Will definitely come back again.

The food was delicious and the chef was very kimd and good. However, the quantity of the adult size food was not enough even for my 10 year old child. I understand this for meat but even vegetables and rice portions were too small.

Mooie ervaring en de koks maken er een goede show van. Eten is van voortreffelijk niveau. Je merkt direct verschil met de all you can taste restaurants. We hebben een dieet zonder rund- en varkensvlees en hier is goed op ingespeeld. Wij hadden 2 x de Suis Sha Ya special, Een Bara en Ume. Zelfs kipfilet was zeer mals en goed op smaak.

Diner was amazing the family really enjoyed the food and preparation on the grill. Service absolutely great, definitely a nee favorite!

Insanely delicious food! We were able to join the circus theater here after our visit and enjoyed it immensely. It was special to see a chef cooking up close. The service was very friendly. The homemade marshmallow cookies with Japanese tea were a great ending. Thank you all!

We had a really delicious meal here tonight. I had the meat menu, and every piece of meat was delicious and tender😋 Very nice to see the chef busy professionally preparing your next dish while eating.

Another delicious meal at Sui Sha Ya. It starts with an appetizer of sushi and sashimi. Then several entrees, fish soup, fried shrimp with vegetables, scallop, ribeye roll filled with garlic and onion, tuna with wasabi sauce and lamb chop. As a main course, fried rice with tenderloin slices and vegetables. For dessert coconut pancake and chocolate ice cream. Delicious.

Delicious and one of the few in the area

Delicious food, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Unfortunately, we had a very noisy group sitting next to us with (at the end of the evening) running/frolicking children and the tablet at maximum volume. Several times we looked at the group and indicated that they were very noisy, they were also looked at by several tables, but the type of people would not allow us to speak to them. Too bad the staff didn't say anything about this, at the end of the evening we paid over €400 for an evening of screaming. That really took the fun out of it.

Before visiting this restaurant (Christmas, 25.12.2024), I thought that the Japanese were an example of tolerance and kindness. Now I don't think so. The waiter of this establishment was quite arrogant, treated us with disdain. Despite the fact that there were free tables, he said that he would not serve us. It was humiliating and spoiled the Christmas spirit. It also changed my attitude towards Japanese culture, now I think they consider themselves superior to others....

I had a menu with fish and meat. It was good but not great. I also thought it went too fast, but that may be normal in Asia.

De entree is lastig te bereiken als je van de verkeerde kant komt. Veel bouwactiviteiten in de buurt. Maar eenmaal binnen is het prettig. Fijne ontvangst. Jassen worden aangepakt. En dan moeten we kiezen wat te eten. Wij vinden het lekker om met rolletjes van bief te beginnen. Daarna courgette, champignons en ui op de bakplaat. Aangevuld met zalm. Daarna gebakken rijst met wat gebakken ei er door. Lekker om een sausje erdoor te mengen. Dit met gebakken kip terryaki. Dan ossenhaas op de bakplaar. Meer kunnen we niet op. Ijs na. Heerlijk. We zijn meer dan tevreden.

Ik heb er al vaker gegeten en ook nu weer met familie genoten van de gastvrijheid en het perfecte eten. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en voorkomend. Een aanrader voor een ieder die de Japanse keuken wil leren kennen of die topkwaliteit wil leren kennen. Het is daarnaast een plezier om de kok aan het werk te zien aan de bakplaat. En de heerlijke sausjes waarmee vis en vlees worden bereid. Subtiel en geraffineerd.

Altijd heerlijk eten, we hebben er vaak gegeten. Laatst waren 2 bevriende stellen die er ook vaak zijn geweest, en zeiden dat het eten vrij snel achter elkaar kwam. Nu hebben wij het dit keer ook ervaren, we hadden het gevoel dat we het snel naar binnen moesten werken. Zijn we niet gewend van hun. Zeker ik als langzame eter had soms 3 gerechtjes op mijn bord liggen maar ook mijn man de snelle eter had moeite om de kok bij te houden om het ene gerecht op te krijgen voordat het andere gerecht kwam. Dus mag wat langzamer opgediend worden. Maar voor de rest blijft het een top restaurant met kwaliteit van eten. December gaan we weer met 5 man.

Fuimos recibidos en la puerta por el amable personal y llevados a nuestra mesa, elegimos una mesa de Teppanyaki, empezamos con el Sushi que estaba muy bueno, luego el chef vino a cocinar para nosotros el Teppanyaki más increíble que elegimos camarones, Salmón y Bacalao pescado servido con arroz o fideos con ensaladas. ¡Gracias!

Delicious food, nice service. We took Teppanyaki (Bara Menu), very good!! Only thing that could improve was the pace in which the food was prepared and served: much too fast. Maybe because it was the laste round of serving? But we had to eat so fast that we couldn't really enjoy each course.

Our visit to the Japanese show cooking in Scheveningen was a culinary experience with an unforgettable atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the live cooking added a unique touch to the evening. However, the level of showmanship varied among the chefs—some put on a more impressive performance than others. While all chefs followed the basic routine, the luck of the draw can impact your experience. We chose menu 203 and 204, which, although not exactly cheap, offered a solid selection. That said, for the price, we expected slightly larger portions. Some dishes were quite minimal, leaving us wanting more. A tip for the restaurant: if you want customers to return, it's essential to deliver the full package, not just the experience. While the show is memorable, some might find it a one-time thing if the food portions don't match the premium pricing.

We werden bij binnenkomst vriendelijk ontvangen en naar onze plek gewezen. Niets ging snel of langzaam maar precies goed. Tijdens hete eten werden lege glazen netjes verwijderd en werd ons vriendelijk gevraagd of we nog iets te drinken wilden. Er was altijd genoeg personeel in de buurt als je nog iets wilde bestellen of vragen. De kok bij de plaat maakte lekkere gerechten klaar. Niets ging mis. Ik vind het altijd leuk om naar hun werk te kijken. Deze kok deed zn werk goed. Wij hebben lekker gegeten en hebben een heerlijke avond gehad. Aanrader!

We ate here with our two children. We arrived a little earlier than the reserved time, but that was no problem. The toilets are very neat, but there are stairs to reach them. The disabled toilet is located downstairs. The food is very good and the chef at the griddle is of a very high standard. It is quite pricey, but the food is of very high quality. It's a shame that ice cream is no longer included in the menu. A few years ago this was still the case. However, the food comes at a fast pace, so you'll be outside again fairly quickly. No problem for us with two children.

Even though I have traveled all over the world, I have difficulty remembering that I have ever seen a restaurant with such disgraceful service. Especially the restaurant owner is the most rude and capricious person you have ever seen in your life. Instead of seating us at the table we wanted, he chose to kick us out of the restaurant. Unfortunately, after these events I experienced, even though I felt like giving a lower score, this is the lowest I can give it.

The teppanyaki is excellent. The chefs are masters of their skills and the service is courteous and friendly.

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and it remains perfect! Teppan is really perfect here. The menus are really good. It is advisable to always have the most expensive menu, but that is too much for me. It has everything in it.

Very poor service for our 18 year old son's birthday. Reservation for 5pm and kicked out at 6:30pm with everything cooked in front of them at once with no option to order as they were told to vacate the table. Never again our birthdays in this restaurant, where they serve hair and tapan yaki at the table you sit for hours. not before 1:30 pm and they made a quick 900 euros. I wish that in the year of the dragon your restaurant is empty.

Sushi huer is fresh and the sushi rice is always well seasoned. Service is top notch here. And the teppan Yaki, one of the few left, is excellent. Experienced chef who knows exactly how to bake the dishes!

We opted for Teppanyaki, on the griddle. It was our daughter's birthday and she was also congratulated by the staff. The food was delicious, the chef very good, service was very friendly and attentive. A really positive experience!

Amazing food, service was even better I would recommend

Totally disappointed!!! Nothing entertaining about this place. The background music on the stereo was broken and gave an irritating sound that constantly faltered, and there was a strange smell inside. The cook did not give a show at all. All our food was delivered on the same plate with the same sauce (very rushed). For that price, I would have been better off going to an all-you-can-eat sushi. The food is better, and so is the service.

Hervorragendes Essen, dazu Teppanyaki live Koch „Show“. Beeindruckende Kochkunst, aber unaufdringlich und die Zweisamkeit beim romantischen Essen war nicht gestört. Aber trotzdem sehr kurzweilige Unterhaltung. Freundlicher, schneller Service und Hilfestellung bei Fragen und Unverträglichkeiten. Preis ist eher teuer, aber die Qualität der Lebensmittel und der aufwendige Service rechtfertigen diesen völlig. Gerne wieder!

Wij hebben een leuke avond gehad, toch vind ik persoonlijk de voorgebakken knoflook echt niet zo lekker zoals vroeger… die werd altijd aan tafel vers gesneden en gebakken… jammer dit, vooral als je zoveel betaald. Ook de porties waren veel minder dan vroeger… Verder was alles lekker, en de service goed en vriendelijk.

Als verrassing voor mijn verjaardag hier gegeten en we hebben zo erg genoten! Eenmaal bij binnenkomst word je al warm verwelkomt en netjes aan tafel gebracht. Ambiance en service is alles hier! Wij hadden de “Mizi menu” (vis menu) en de “Bara menu” (vlees en vis menu). Super lekker gegeten! Als dessert maakte de bananen pancake met ijs de avond zeker af! De chef was ook zeker aardig en attent! Het fijne vooral hier is dat iedereen genoeg ruimte heeft aan tafel en je niet op elkaar zit. Sui Sha Ya is zeker een van mijn favoriete teppanyaki spots nu!

Was weer top vandaag, geholpen door kok Allen, sui sha ya gerechten waren fantastisch super gezellig weer!!

Wat een (eet) ervaring. Een geweldige service en entertainment met een fantastisch verrassing menu (S.S.Y.) We genieten nog steeds na! Het is even sparen maar komen zeker weer terug in het geweldige Scheveningen. Dank voor de service en heerlijke voedsel op een hele gave manier klaargemaakt.

Echt een hele belevenis! We hebben er 3 uur gezeten en geen moment verveeld of lang moeten wachten op het eten! Superleuk en heel erg lekker! 😊 Dit is het eerste van de vele heerlijke gerechten.

Heerlijk gegeten met de collega's

We waren met een groep van 10 personen en het was een leuke avond. Echt een avondje uit. Een hele belevenis omdat er aan tafel van alles gemaakt wordt. Voor de mensen die vis en vlees eten is het geweldig. Zelf ben ik vegetarisch en ik had dan ook het vega menu. De 1e 3 gangen (van de 8) waren lekker met variatie. Helaas kreeg ik maar 1 x tofu en voor de rest alleen maar groente. Dat was jammer, als tip en ik hoop dat jullie dit lezen, zou ik meer variatie aanbieden aan degene die vegetarisch zijn. Dit was te simpel. Maar onze gasten die wij hadden uitgenodigd en vlees en vis aten hadden zelden zo lekker gegeten! 😃 wij hadden de chef menu met de meeste gangen.

Kom hier al jaren en het is altijd supper lekker ik heb veel Japanners gehad maar deze is zo verschrikkelijk lekker echt een topper moet je geweest zijn altijd vriendelijk en gewoon op en top in orde

In één woord : GEWELDIG! Het overheerlijke eten, super vriendelijk personeel en de prachtige entourage. Wij hebben genoten en een top avond gehad.

EDIT: still superb! Sui Sha Ya is one of the few remaining teppan restaurants in the wide area and the quality of the food is the reason why; it's absolutely delicious! Do note that you need to reserve a seat well in advance as the restaurant is quite popular.

Just before the November lockdown I went for a dinner with friends. And taking all the measures in mind. It was a good experience. The food was fresh and nice. The service was correct and humble.
