I used to go here with great satisfaction, but the quality of the food has really deteriorated (and the prices have, of course, gone up considerably). I wouldn't recommend it.

The sushi is good, but the hot dishes are mediocre, mainly due to the excessive use of sweet sauce. The cocktails aren't very good either. The service is fast, friendly, and cheerful.

It was great! We were there for the third time, and they had the limited-time drinks menu! You can already cover that with just two cocktails! The food is also delicious and served quickly! Sometimes they forget a dish, but you can just order it again. The staff is friendly. Only the dessert menu seems to be getting smaller and more expensive.

Sushi Koi was one of my favorite places to enjoy a friendly meal, until I went there last week. They insisted on only allowing us one drink per round. This meant we couldn't order water with our wine, and they constantly monitored whether we'd finished our drinks before ordering a new one. It was a nasty atmosphere and made the atmosphere very unsociable and uncomfortable. It's a shame the all-you-can-drink feeling is being completely taken away. By the way, one server was very attentive. I hope you find another way to fulfill the all-you-can-drink requirement.

We always enjoy lunch here. Excellent value for money, and salmon sashimi is included.

We'd like to share our feedback about our recent visit to your restaurant. First of all, we'd like to say that we really enjoyed the food – it was delicious and beautifully presented. Kudos to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, the service upon arrival was less than pleasant. We had made a reservation for four people (which we could also prove with the confirmation email), but upon arrival, we were told the reservation was for only two. The employee at the counter wasn't very friendly or solution-oriented. They even said we were "lucky" there was one table left, otherwise we wouldn't have been seated. We were disappointed to hear this, especially since we had duly confirmed the reservation. The employee also suggested that we should be more careful next time and really book for four people, otherwise there wouldn't be enough space. We clearly explained this in our email. We also noticed that the service seemed somewhat unfriendly throughout the evening; for example, glasses were slammed down quite forcefully, which made the atmosphere less pleasant. We're not sharing this feedback to complain, but because we believe it's important to share this feedback. Your food and ambiance are definitely worth coming back for, and we hope our experience can contribute to further improvements in our service.

The atmosphere is very relaxed. There's no stress among the guests or the staff. The lighting also creates a pleasant ambiance. The food is delicious and comes quickly. For just €10 extra, you can enjoy unlimited drinks (including cocktails) except spirits – in honor of their 15th anniversary. This definitely won't be our last time here!

It was really good, but I think it's starting to decline a bit due to new staff. We had to wait 20 minutes for our first round because apparently, the other rounds hadn't gotten through. The rest of the food was good, though.

The food itself was good, but unfortunately, we couldn't get a cup of coffee even five minutes after the "time" for ordering was up. We found that a real shame.

I recently dined at Koi in Utrecht, where they offer an all-you-can-eat concept. My choice for this restaurant was primarily based on their halal offerings. When ordering, I asked for the halal list, which the friendly staff happily provided without any problems. However, when I asked whether the halal meat was prepared separately or in the same pans as the non-halal meat, the server wasn't sure. He checked with the chef, and to my disappointment, it turned out that the halal meat was indeed prepared in the same pans and on the same grill as the non-halal meat. This means that the halal meat can no longer be considered halal, which is incredibly misleading. I was very disappointed, especially because I had chosen Koi specifically for their halal concept. It's confusing that a restaurant offering this option doesn't capitalize on this more effectively. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I only ordered fish dishes, and they were deliciously prepared. All in all, a mixed experience. I hope that Koi will pay more attention to compliance with the halal principle in the future, so that guests can enjoy their meal here with peace of mind.

Sushi Koi is a cozy restaurant with friendly service, and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, our good impression was completely ruined when we received the bill. On top of the fixed price of the all-you-can-eat menu, a substantial surcharge had been added for certain dishes—without this being mentioned anywhere on the website or explained at the table. This feels misleading and unfair. For a restaurant that's already on the expensive side, such hidden charges make the experience downright disappointing. It's a shame, because it could have been a lovely evening.

The sushi here is truly delicious. The space is beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere. The food arrives quickly, and with the all-you-can-drink deal, you can get it for €10 (including cocktails). Friendly staff.

I love grilled dishes, and the ones here were truly excellent. They even used them in the sushi, which was also delicious, by the way. The rice was perfectly cooked, and some of the sushi was even warm. The staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were included in our bill, which, given current drink prices, is a good thing.

Excellent sushi and other snacks. Not a huge variety of sushi flavors, but plenty of other options. Fast service. Be careful with the all-you-can-drink option. If you want to drink a lot, it's inexpensive, but one pot of tea per person is cheaper separately.

The place is good. But they make the ordeting very difficult and confusing. Be careful for the added cost extras and drinks are also separate and paid foe aside from all tou can eat.

The service is truly awful, absolutely no respect, and they talk in a very strange way, as if you're not going to spend 100 euros here. It's abnormal, children of 16-17 with no respect. Don't come here. Because it's really not okay.

A very atmospheric and fun all-you-can-eat restaurant! The sushi is delicious, as are most of the other dishes. It's a shame you have to pay extra for some dishes, as it's already quite pricey. But definitely recommended!

I've been to several all-you-can-eat restaurants, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at Koi Utrecht. The service and the food are excellent! I also appreciate that you can choose drinks included for an additional fee, which is very convenient. The only point for improvement I can mention is that when selecting a dish, you don't always have the option to choose between with or without sauce. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!

It's a shame you can't order everything at lunch, even though they do offer the dinner menu. So, the chocolate cake can't be ordered during lunch :( Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice and quiet.

If you are hungry, all you can eat buffet is waiting for you. Even if I am not a fan of sushi, this place had also plenty of other options to choose from, so I was satisfied anyway.

Really something different, beyond the ordinary. A fun and challenging menu. The dishes are definitely decent and offer a wide variety. Highly recommended, even for the big eater.

The food was delicious. The (temporary?) drinks-inclusive deal is definitely worth it, with choices including cocktails, Japanese beers, wines, and soft drinks, including Red Bull. There's also a good selection of sushi and other delicious Japanese dishes.

It's a beautiful restaurant in a fantastic location. The interior is beautifully decorated. There's a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant. I had the best sushi I've ever eaten here. The staff are very hospitable and welcoming. The service is also incredibly fast. When you order, it arrives within minutes. The all-you-can-drink menu is so worth it; it's amazing! They also make delicious cocktails. It's also not even more expensive than other sushi restaurants. I highly recommend it!

Fairly expensive all you can eat restaurant. Because of the price we expected a wide range, but the sushi disappointed us slightly, the range was not very big. The noodles (udon) we ordered were completely tasteless and the separate meat dishes were not great either. Also, everything you order is brought to the table 1 by 1 without saying what it is, which makes it not really easy to order something you liked again. All in all I have had a better sushi experience in other restaurants for less money.

We came here with a small group of the all-you-can-eat lunch menu. One of the reasons we came here was because of a €5 all-you-can-drink temporary offer that they advertised. We had the correct date and the right location but they told us it wasn’t valid without telling us why which was very disappointing and confusing.Then they proceeded to spend 15 minutes to set up our tablet for ordering and we had to switch tablets multiple times (even though the redt as virtually empty). The sushi was delicious but some aspects like the cheap seaweed paper, the tiny maki sushi and the unseasoned edamame were disappointing. A lot of items on the menu were also only available for extra payment even with the all-you-can-eat arrangement. The drinks are also very expensive. All in all the sushi is good and it is delivered very fast but the experience feels quite cheap in aspects.

Pornstar martini was warm, no indication that it was changed to 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours and no music on. Toilets are dirty and service did not provide for us.

The food is fine, service too. Only the soup was lukewarm at first, after sending it back twice it was served really hot. The chairs need cleaning, dirty stains everywhere. And the toilet buttons should be replaced and the toilet paper holder should be fixed.

We had Lunch. One of the best experiences. Delicious food with alot of varieties. Quick service. The only downside was that the waiter was so surprised when we walked in. His attitude was confusing. He was asking if we know that this is an all you can eat. And then he highlighted the price a couple of times eventhough i told hem that we know already all the details. It seemed condescending. As if we are going to eat and run with out paying. But later on he apologised.

They had a quite a variety. But most of the dishes I tried had mayonnaise or a sweet sauce in it which I didn’t like that much. And it always didn’t look like the pictures so sometimes hard to identify which you ordered. Udon was bland but the fried mushrooms were quite good. They also include desserts to the all you can eat menu. Service was fast compared to the other places I have tried.

It looked nice but the food was very disappointing. We had made an arrangement with colleagues from work. Sometimes you didn't get what you ordered and the flavors were not right. The cocktails came from a bottle so no real cocktails that were undrinkable. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

I ate here and overall I thought it was worth 4/10 stars. - During the last half hour, about 3 to 4 rounds, the sushi rice was quite warm, which made the fish and vegetables less tasty. - As if the sushi rice wasn't bad enough, at one point a stray ant walked across the table. That was a real downer. + The all-you-can-drink package was definitely a plus. -+ The portions were very small; the sushi was gone in half a bite. Too bad, because it tasted good. -+ The employees were friendly, although most only spoke English. + The meats were warm and tasty. All in all, there are pros and cons to this restaurant. The restaurant scores low for me, because in my opinion the negative points outweigh the positive points.

Very tasty, second time! We can especially recommend the all you can drink as long as they offer it! The only disadvantage is that you have to order via the app and there is no description of the dishes. So if you are allergic to something you have to ask every time.

Delicious food and friendly staff

I ate here together with a friend on a friday evening (with no reservation). The food was passable quality (standout being the salmon which tasted very fresh), but the 'kimbap' they served was anything but kimbap (and just tasted very bad). I've had much better sushi in other places, and even when ordering takeaway. The server at the entrance was nice and explained the system to us clearly (you can order your dishes through the website). The rest of the wait staff seemed to be either in a rush or just unhappy/stressed out. In the first round, the warm dishes that we ordered never came, which was extremely disappointing, since we were hungry. The atmosphere was alright, the place looks nice enough, but where we sat the seats were quite small, so anyone taller than 1,85 will have a hard time sitting there. Important to note, the menu outside doesn't 100% match with what's being served, so keep that in mind. All in all not a terrible place, but there are much better options available in Utrecht.

Nice, modern restaurant. Various types of sushi and other small snacks on the menu. Sushi quality is fine, it is difficult for me to judge. All orders must be placed via a tablet. I found this impersonal and unsanitary. Unlimited food and unlimited drinks included: €53.33

Ok for what it is (All you can eat). The price wasn't too bad there wasn't that big of a selection and items that cost more were mixed in with the items included in the all you can eat, which means it's easy to add something by mistake. Also their system of ordering every 5 minutes (max 3 items per person) just means people are on their phones all the time and I'm not a huge fan. Personally these things bring it down from a 3 or maybe 4 star all you can eat, down to a 2 or 3 star experience...but ill give it 3 stars because the food was good and the staff was quite nice!

This is a good sushi restaurant to try Japanese food. There is a lot of variety and even European desserts. You pay a fixed price and we were even able to buy the drinks for ten euros. The staff is friendly and delivers everything quickly. Try a little bit of everything I say. I would like to strongly recommend this restaurant.

The food and drinks were nice, and we enjoyed them. However, our experience took a turn when we saw a rat climbing up the backrest of our bench. The staff let us change seats without issue, but the attitude of most staff was disappointing. Some of them seemed almost a bit annoyed about our request, they also didn’t act surprised at all (so I guess it’s not wild to assume this is happening more often), and also never offered an apology. We understand the challenges of being in the city center near the canals, but the lack of professionalism and friendliness was disappointing and ruined the vibe for us. So overall, good food, but the incident and the staff’s response left a pretty bad impression, hence, only one star.

Surprisingly tasty food in an efficient sushi machine. Ordering food and drinks with your own phone is not very user-friendly or pleasant, service brings food quickly and clears away empty plates very quickly, giving you a real 'all-you-can-eat feeling'. Yet the sushi and meat dishes are of excellent quality. There is still a lot to improve in terms of atmosphere, starting with washing dirty pillows. There is potential, because the restaurant is in a beautiful location next to the Cathedral.

Ate here on Friday for my birthday and what started as a pleasant evening ended with a nasty aftertaste. During dinner my sirloin steak was served. As the waitress puts the piece down, she indicates that she will get cutlery. After waiting a while I assumed she had forgotten and asked another waitress for the cutlery and some salt. After a short wait, another waitress comes with a tray with the jar of salt on it. She puts it down and I say thank you. Then she turns to walk away again, but I thought she still had the cutlery on the tray and quickly said "oh cutlery". Which I didn't mean in an unfriendly way at all, but it was already the 3rd waitress I asked, and I just wanted to quickly point it out, because she was already walking away and thought she forgot the cutlery. And assuming she knew that I had asked for cutlery before and was bringing it. But I received a very unfriendly response with "sorry, can I have cutlery?" I thought it was absolutely out of place because it was never intended that way for me. I also work as a waitress and know what it's like when guests can be rude. But the way this was said to me made me feel very uncomfortable and I didn't feel very comfortable there for the rest of my evening. Still a shame about what should have been a nice dinner.

Their lunch deal isn't the same as what you see on their website. It's about 20% less choices, mostly the special dishes are off the table. Besides that, the dishes and service were average. Longer story: We visited on a Friday afternoon and chose the Lunch menu. The service is pretty quick and one of the waiter was very friendly, so those things were nice. Also, some dishes were actually twsty, e.g. Fried banana, Wings, Sui mai, Coco pudding, Flamed salmon and Eel sushi's. But those were pretty much the highlights. - The lunch menu turned out to be more limited than what they say on their website. - Many dishes were not that well. The sashimi on the sashimi salad was still cold from the freezer and most of the special roles (Urumaki?) were prepared with older and harder rice. I assume they didn't expect that many tables during lunch today so decided to use up the left-overs from yesterday. At least, that is what I hope and that this isn't their usual quality. - 4 out of 5 warm dishes ruined by too much sauce, resulting in a very strong tasting and salty dish. Watch out for the grilled salmon and white fish, and the mushrooms. Oh, such a waste it was... Overall, I would mark this place as average at most. We don't see any reason to visit here soon again, especially not for their lunch menu.

In the restaurant it was like a freezer, the heating only came on when I had clearly indicated that I was really cold. Things didn't really get better after that. Don't invite me to go again.

No atmosphere, no human contact, no vibe. Employees look like they got up with a bad leg, can barely understand what they are saying and if you have a problem (QR code combination with website didn't work) they just leave you hanging. We just walked out of the case

Disappointing experience Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was far from pleasant. Even though we had made a reservation in advance for 5:00 PM, we were placed in the back without any explanation. The service left much to be desired; the waitress lacked hospitality and exhibited passive-aggressive behavior. In addition, we experienced problems with ordering via the QR code. When we asked for help, this was not handled adequately and we had to wait an unnecessarily long time. Finally we decided to leave the restaurant. The service and customer friendliness can be significantly improved.

We aten hier op een zondagmiddag rond 1700 uur. Vriendelijke bediening ontving ons. We kozen voor het €10 drank arrangement ter ere van hun 15-jarig bestaan. Cocktails in deze aanbieding zijn geen aanrader, ze zijn mierzoet en zonder alchohol. Dat was op zich ook wel te verwachten waar normaliter een echte Pornstar Martini al €13 kost. Verder wel huiswijn, bier, frisdrank dus dat haal je er makkelijk uit als je €10 p.p. betaalt ipv los drank besteld. Een grote positieve verassing was dat de zalm sashimi weer behoort tot het all you can eat concept ipv bijbetalen. We hebben weer goed gegeten hier

The food was very tasty, but some of the meat dishes were cold when brought and sometimes tough. The sushi was very good by the way. the beef with cheese was really omg tasty. I didn't think the service was that good, several ordered drinks were removed (all inclusive package) because too many were ordered. Then add that all-inclusive is not unlimited to avoid confusion. Would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Unfortunately not a nice experience. The food all tasted the same and a bit sour. Drinking took a very long time while the plates were taken from under your nose. I always liked coming here for lunch and now wanted to experience dinner. But the vegetables were also watery and not crispy. No salt. There is also little atmosphere with the bright lights and the restaurant could use a renovation. The service is also nice. I always give feedback and hope that Koi can do something with it. It was also expensive🙏🏻

Very nice meal for my birthday. I think it is a nice restaurant. Too bad we were placed in an empty section and I could only watch employees messing around. Fine, but do that behind the scenes. Singing along to the music, wasting food, filming each other (and possibly me and my partner). We have to pay 3 euros for leftover food, and I see them give each other 5 scoops of ice cream that they can't finish (and didn't ask for) and shove it in each other's faces.

They were good dishes freshly prepared as far as we could see. We had an iPad that didn't work 4 times and on the 5th we got a new one that didn't have everything on it. After a while the frustration was also visible among the people and that was not necessary because I think we just remained friendly...it can happen after all. I think the rest of the decor could be more atmospheric, but that's mainly a matter of taste.

Often come back for the tasty and diverse food, but unfortunately the service has deteriorated sharply in recent years. The staff is no longer so friendly and the interior is very dirty. Last week I even saw rats under the tables. This was brought to the attention of the staff, but it did not seem to make an impression. Unfortunately this was the last time for us.

I have celiac disease, indicated 3 times when making the reservation and it was still on site, no problem. Firstly, they added the sushi to the gluten-rich sushi and only then did they say that there was significant cross-contamination. In addition, they could not put the sushi on separate plates. So this restaurant is not gluten free and is not taken into account!!!!

Food is inedible. Little variety in the sushi. Staff look like they are tired of life. The lighting is at maximum, not recommended! Ordered a number of cocktails but was very stingy with adding alcohol. food sometimes even comes 3 rounds later. McDonald's staff is even friendlier.

The food was great! Delicious sushi, also tasty dishes from the grill/griddle, etc. You order the dishes using a QR via a Hotspot. However, this continuously malfunctioned for us and 2 other tables and did not work on our own data. This was resolved well upon request: there also appeared to be tablets that you could use on loan for ordering. The price-quality ratio was also nothing to complain about. Recommended if you are in the area. The desserts were also of good quality, the lemon ice cream was really tasty.

We hebben echt wel heel lekker gegeten maar toch ietwat minpuntjes, de WiFi doet het niet en die heb je nodig om te bestellen. Meerdere mensen last van dus we kregen een tablet waar we op konden bestellen. Bestellingen gingen ook niet heel goed, 3 x mijn garnalen niet gehad, garnalen bun niet gehad, zoetje broodjes niet gehad dus echt een aantal dingen niet gekregen, dat was wel jammer! Maar wat we kregen was wel erg lekker! Nog even wat werk aan de winkel jongens!!

The entrance from outside the restaurant is not very pretty and goes a little unnoticed, completely different from what it is like inside. Very polished and elegant, but casual. Very nice atmosphere (remember the music😁🙌🏻) Excellent food quality and also a lot of choice so perfect! And you can choose to pay 10€ more per person for all you can drink, it is nice☺️ REALITY IS BETTER THAN THE PICTURES Enjoy!

Ik ben vaak naar all you can eat sushi geweest maar dit was het allerslechtste ooit! We werden ten eerste naast de deur bij de kapstok aan tafel gezet waar amper tot geen personeel langs kwam en ze waren allemaal heel onvriendelijk! Het eten was niet te eten, de sushirijst viel gewoon uitelkaar en het was alsof de sushi er al dagen lag, vleesgerechten kwamen gewoon koud op de tafel en was niet lekker, en we moesten ook super lang wachten op onze rondes. En de manager was heel onaardig nadat we haar hier op hadden aangesproken Absoluut geen aanrader!!

Heel leuk restaurant met lekker eten, maar ik ben er nu al een paar keer geweest en we worden steeds (vaak zijn we met 2 personen) boven achterin het restaurant geplaatst waar het interieur toch wel een stuk minder leuk is en voelt gewoon steeds weggestopt. Ik vind dit toch jammer en ik denk dat ik de volgende keer maar een speciaal verzoek moet indienen dat we graag beneden willen zitten ofzo. Wel gek. De laatste keer kreeg kregen we trouwens ook nog een kapotte tablet die een reset kreeg (maar daarna nog steeds kapot was) en geruild moest worden...

The food was super tasty. We didn't get cocktails anymore because they had already closed the bar even though we had ordered on time. They then went to great lengths to make it for us.

It's very sad. I've been 5 times in the last two months and the same thing happens every time. The staff cannot be so rude and respectful. It's outrageous. They don't talk to you, you talk to them in English and they answer you in another language. The blonde girl is the worst, I don't understand how she can be so rude. When I went and finished eating, I wanted to drink a glass of water afterward and the two times she served me she told me no, she wouldn't give me anything, she can't. On the other hand, when I asked others, they gave me the glass of water without any problem. We have spent almost 200 euros between a few friends and you are not able to give me a glass of water. What a shame. The food is pretty good. And the open bar menu is very attractive. The problem is that there are other options with similar price and quality and without such terrible service.

Goede organisatie van het vriendelijke personeel. Eten wordt snel geserveerd, en net zo snel worden de lage schaaltjes/borden weer weggehaald. Goede kwaliteit van eten, we komen nog wel een keer terug.

Food was really good, not to much rice served with the sushi to make you feel full fast. We really enjoyed the experience, nice food, nice drinks and funny service. A great plus was the sashimi that was included. The food and drinks arrived fast. Its not per say a cheap buffet but for me the price to quality ratio was really worth it. Recommended for sure
